Very nice hotel next to Long Beach with a nice pool. Clean rooms and very nice staff. Breakfast buffet with a lot of choice. Scooter rentals next by. This is where you want to be in Phu Quoc.

Hotel room is very comfortable, the grounds are pretty and well maintained. Staff were mostly very friendly and helpful. One suggestion: there are gaps between the wood panels in the doors that allow mosquitos to enter. They could probably fix this rather easily.

The rooms are half the size!

We left. The rooms aren't even half the size it says on the description. There were a lot of mosquitos. Sorry to say. We really wanted to like this place but we couldn't. The staff in the restaurant isn't competent to serve turists... The front office is great and very friendly. Hope for you to change the room size to 14.4sqm which is the right size not 30sqm for the bungalows.
We really hope that we don't cause any harm to your staff by posting this but rader to make your resort more up to date and traine your staff in English.

we first got 2 the airport of Phu Quoc, La mer was suppose to provide us w/ a shuttle, no one was 2 b found waiting 4 us. We ended up taking a cab 2 the resort. They acted like it was no big deal, no apology given. We let that slide because we didn't want 2 let that ruin our trip. The resort was cute. having a shower/bathroom outside seemed like a good idea until we had 2 start using it -tons of mosquitos flying around. mosquitos got into our room, we we're provided a net 2 sleep in which was fine but then u gotta get rid of the mosquitos in your room before getting inside the net, just in case. For the morning we would put up a make up room sign, our room was never made for the 4 days that we stayed. They only provided us with 2 bottles of water daily & 2 new towels. On my last day being there I got food poisoning, I ate breakfast in the morning at the hotel, same thing every other morning the only difference was the pho. I'm thinking they didn't properly prepare the meat. I went to Ho Quoc Pagoda, came back 2 the room 2 hrs later. I consumed nothing during that day other than bottled water after breakfast. I ended up vomiting & having diarrhea the whole day. It was horrific esp outside in the heat because the bathroom is located outside the room. so you get the picture. Following day we checked out. prior 2 that they asked us for our info because their driver was going 2 take us. We ended up taking the cab cuz the driver wasn't there. By then we just wanted 2 get out.

Lovely stay at La Mer

La Mer is a lovely resort, tucked away from the main road but within close walking distance of it, as well as many bars and restaurants. It is also a very short walk to the beach, so it is conviently located. The only downside is it’s quite far from the main town so really you have to take a taxi to get there if you want to see it.

The resort itself is quiet and relaxing. The pool is nice but quite small, but it was never busy so its size wasn’t a problem. The restaurant is quite pricy but there are many cheaper alternatives nearby, which can also be said for laundry (we went to the place closest to the resort and they did a good job for a much cheaper price).

Our room was big and clean, the bed was very comfortable and we had air con and a fan. The only downside is it’s very dark as there are loads of trees surrounding the building (the bungalows might be different).

Overall we had a lovely, relaxing stay at La Mer and we would definitely recommend it for a lazy beach break.

Average experience. Food was decent. Staff was nice. They helped us organized a private tour for island hopping which was organized. Our tour guide was super friendly. The room was clean, but very buggy. The bathroom is an outdoor bathroom. If you don't do well with insects and small geckos then this hotel is not for you. Overall, couldn't complain for the price I paid for the stay.

Lovely quiet hotel, in tourist trap

This hotel is a lovely garden hotel, great staff and nice pool. Rooms are clean and people seem to go crazy for the buffet breakfast. However Long Beach and this area in particular is a tourist trap that is pretty sad after having spent two weeks traveling around beautiful unique Vietnam. Lovely hotel but beware the location.

Stayed for 7 days. Complained about the shower nor having any water pressure. Aircon not cooling properly on the first day. Nothing ever got fixed. The big smiles of the staff did makes stay anyway to the end.z

If you need hot or even warm water on demand this place isn't for you. I wanted to give this place a 1 star because the staff failed to inform me the water is sun heated and if you want a warm shower you have to time it right before the rest of the customers use the warm water. I didn't find out until I was in the shower waiting for the water to turn warm. I can't accept the excuse that it's hot outside and a cold shower is refreshing. For the price of the rooms hot water should be an option to the customer. Considering I already had paid the non-refundable hotel room fee the staff should have informed me of the water situation and advised the best times to shower. Other than that, the hotel is a decent three star. Evening staff was very friendly and helpful. I wouldn't stay here again and wouldn't recommend this place to family or friends.

The hotel is basic but clean and comfortable - about a 5 minute walk from the beach which is good. The cleaning service left my door unlocked though on my first day and I did not come back until the evening so anyone could have gone in. Wasn't so pleased about that. Everything else was fine. Breakfast is good. They also don't replenish the shampoo in the bathroom - you also only get shampoo.

We had a fantastic stay at La Mer for 4 days. They offer really nice, private bungalow style rooms for a great price compared to similar resorts on Phu Quoc. The beds are comfortable, outside showers nice, and the pool is really well maintained.

The breakfast spread was amazing, easily the best we've had in Vietnam.

I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking to treat themselves without breaking the bank

Lovely family bungalow

We had a great stay, kids loved the pool and staff was extremely friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. If the hotel would upgrade it's room air conditioning units it would make the hotel a 5/5! The aircon took very long to cool the room and in combination with the fan it was very loud and very difficult to sleep. Otherwise, great! Thank you for a lovely stay in Phu Quoc.

Mellow Garden Paradise

This hotel is a must for any couple thinking of staying in Phu Quoc. My wife and I are in our 30s. La Mer is only 2.5 years old and it shows; everything is new, clean, fresh. They have the most beautiful gardens that are constantly being pruned by attentive, friendly staff. It's a mellow slice of paradise if you just want to hang out by the pool, smell some flowers, or to visit the beach which is only a short walk away down some lovely restaurant dotted lanes. People around here are really friendly and happy. This was a great place to stay, and I've stayed at quite a few good hotels worldwide.

Beautiful grounds and set aside from the main road make it beautiful, the rooms were gorgeous and clean and the outdoor shower with its own mini garden a treat. Would recommend to any type of traveller. Staff were friendly and hospitable throughout and was a much more cosier and individual experience compared to a large resort.

Great value meets great service!

La Mer Resort in Vietnam was a fantastic place to stay. The staff were amazing the level of service made it feel like a 5 star hotel. The prices were very attractive and the food was very good. It doesn't have direct beachfront access but it's only 50 meters walk from the beach. This a very safe location for children and young families. There are plenty of nice restaurants within walking distance or you can just relax by the pool. I would highly recommend this place.

Friendly staff, attentive to children. Location is fine, quiet but within reach of restaurants and a few bars. The beach is a short 10 min walk and is very pleasant.

Outside shower is a real treat. Lots of plants and water feature. Nice feeling overall.

The La Mer is a friendly and happy place to stay, affordable for the room and service, although recommend to shop else where for moped hire and laundry as you can find better prices only minutes away. Close to the beach and all the staff are welcoming and helpful. We would stay here again.

Resort is nice, but beach is not.

Pros: Staffs were friendly and helpful. Nice pool for kids. Property landscape is beautiful. Many choices at breakfast. Great room and bathroom layout. Comfortable beds.
Cons: resort location is located off an alley, inconvenience for taxi coming and going on same alley. No wifi services whatsoever in family room. Access to beach is 10 minutes walk and path is dirty, and beach is not even clean.

Decent hotel-not bad, not great!

Pros-decent room with nice quaint, tropical landscape. Service was good primarily thanks to Tri. Relatively short walk to the beach although there are several comparable price hotels are either on the beach or much closer to town. Pretty cool semi outdoor bathroom attached to room.
Cons-Semi outdoor bathroom as a) major bugs and insects issue at night as light attracts them b) advised to securely lock bathroom door as security issue. Pool is significantly smaller than pictures and doesn't appear very clean. Restaurant food was a bit overpriced and not that great. Location of hotel is on about 10 minutes from the night market, main part of town.

Nice hotel, good room in pretty garden and just a few minutes walk to the beach with plenty of restaurants and other facilities nearby. Staff were helpful, there was a decent swimming pool too and the only negative was no safe in room but staff looked after my valuables at reception, no black out blinds but the shutters made the room good and dark for sleeping. Breakfast was good and I liked the frog that came into the bathroom at night

푸꾸옥에서 출발하는 비행기가 정오쯤이어서 빈오아시스에서 3일 그리고 마지막날은 시내의 적당한 숙소를 찾다보니 La Mer에 머물게 되었습니다. 모든건 가격대비 soso했는데 마지막 체크아웃시점에 저렴한 숙소의 모든 단점을 다 보여주더군요. 집사람이 아이를 준비시키느라 마지막 짐 점검때 본인의 핸드폰을 침대위에 두고 체크아웃하고 택시를 탔습니다. 그리고 불과 5분만에 다시 돌아와 핸드폰을 두고 갔다 혹시 봤느냐 하고 물었더니 이미 방청소는 하고 있고 가식적으로 본적없다는 표정을 짓는데 그방 청소하는 아주머니들을 정말 시간만 있었으면 경찰을 불러서 수사를 시키고 싶을 정도였습니다. 물론 어디 다른곳에 떨어트렸을수도 있지 않느냐라는 가설을 세워볼수도 있지만 방에서 나와 바로 프론트가 보이는 방이어서 그리고 마지막에 침대에 있는걸 나도 본터라 의심의 여지가 없네요. 소득대비 분실폰(갤럭시S9)이 고가라 욕심이야 났겠지만 그거 하나 들고가서 호텔이미지에 똥칠할거라는 생각까지는 못하는 사람들이겠죠... 숙박시설에서 정직하지 못한 사람들을 고용해서 쓰는건 정말 최악인듯 하네요. 혹시 이 글을 리조트관계자가 번역을 해서 읽게 된다면 꼭 도둑 잡아서 해고시키라고 말하고 싶네요.

Die Hotelanlage ist sehr schön mit vielen Pflanzen angelegt. Im Zimmer ist alles vorhanden, was man braucht. Das einzige was wir hier bemängeln müssen, ist die Reinigung, es werden täglich die Handtücher getauscht, aber das wars dann auch im grossen und ganzen. Das Personal war auch stets sehr freundlich. Der Pool ist klein aber fein, einzig die Liegen sind etwas in die Jahre gekommen, da müsste man die ein oder andere austauschen. Beim Frühstück gibt es warme Speisen wie Suppe, Spagetti; Marmelade, Gebäck, Obst, Omelett, Pancake usw. Zum Strand sind es max. 5 Gehminuten. Restaurants und kleine Shops sind leicht zu Fuss erreichbar. Die Lage und das Hotel sind wirklich toll. Wir würden dieses Hotel auf jedenfall wieder buchen.

Mysigt familjehotell med jättetrevlig personal!

Vi stannade på La Mer i 10 dagar och hade en fantastisk vistelse där. Personalen var kunniga och väldigt hjälpsamma. Vi firade min mans födelsedag där och hotellet uppvaktade honom med tårta. Poolen var delvis barnanpassad vilket var skönt när vår treåring lekte där i. Trädgården var välskött.
Det var nära stranden och flera restauranger låg i anslutning. Vi rekommenderar det här boendet!

Wir behalten es leider in schlechter Erinnerung

Leider erst später nach dem Auschecken auf der Rückreise stellten wir fest dass uns Euro und TBat im Wert von umgerechnet ca. 900 EUR aus dem Zimmersave aus verschiedenen Geldbörsen gestohlen wurde.
Bitte Zimmerservice kontrollieren. Insbesondere vor Abreise.
Das ist , war und wird nicht das erste mal gewesen sein.

Ok stay for a night or two

We stayed here 3 nights. Good location, close to the beach and nearby shops but the “resort” is rather small: basically only a pool and the restaurant area to hang out in at the hotel. Seems like a popular place for families with small children to stay at.

Lots of mosquitoes so make sure to bring repellent! Rooms were ok but need to freshen up. It’s common to hear the refrigerator at night but the one in the room we had was loud and annoying, sounded like a bulldozer entering the room every night! WiFi worked good, breakfast was ok.

Bra läge, bra service. Vi var 2 vuxna och 3 barn som bodde i 2 dubbelsängar under 5 dagar. Väldigt nöjda med allt. Enda minuset var att det var en del mygg pga stor trädgård med många växter. Toppenboende med läge, renlighet, service och prisvärt!

위치는 굉장히 좋아요. 비치도 걸어서 오분. 주변에 맛집많고.
리조트 자체는 가성비 갑이라고 할수 있지만, 모기 벌레에 취약한 분들은 절대 비추.
욕실에 모기약 뿌리고 나오면 정말 백마리는 떨어져 죽어있어요.
욕실이고 방이고 모기와의 전쟁.

worth the money

Stayed here for four night and thought the garden was really nice, good service and good food. Although, no sunbeds reserved at the beach so go to the far left to rent some, otherwise most sunbeds are already reserved for other hotels. Bare in mind low pressure showers and not 'typical western' breakfast. Good banana pancakes. In general, we were happy with our stay and worth the money

Бронировали семейное бунгало. На сайте Hotels.com по поводу этого номера размещена следующая информация: \"Семейное бунгало (2 King Beds) 2 двуспальные кровати «Кинг-сайз» Номер площадью 65 м2, балкон с видом на сад\". Однако, при заселении в отель нам был предоставлен номер общей площадью не более 36м2, причем площадь самой комнаты, где располагалось две большие кровати не превышала 20м2, остальные 16м2 приходились на санузел и террасу на улице под козырьком. Балкона, который значится в описании тоже нет. На наше возражение персонал ответил, что других семейных номеров у них в принципе нет, а площадь, заявленная на сайте Hotels.com ошибочная. Будьте бдительны!
Туалет и душ находятся за стеной номера, практически на улице, что доставляет определенные неудобства. Во-первых, звукоизоляция между номерами очень плохая, а между санузлами она вообще отсутствует, поэтому все звуки, которые раздаются в соседних номерах и санузлах вам слышны очень хорошо. Во-вторых после дождя в санузле очень мокро и грязно, и в-третьих вся живность, которая беспрепятственно приползает/прилетает/прибегает в санузел впоследствии может оказаться в номере.
WiFi постоянно отключался, почти каждый день приходилось обращаться на ресепшен чтобы проблему устранили.
Завтраки однообразные без излишеств, но съедобные, с желудком проблем не возникало.
Постельное белье и полотенца уже видавшие виды и не идеально чистые. Пляжные полотенца тоже не новые и уже потрепанные, но они были и это уже хорошо

Nice place with wonderful staff, some speak english some do not.
Breakfast is Nice , dinner as well .
The only not so good thing is the quality Of the wifi !
The lack Of soundproofing could be a problem for some.

Mysig resort med hemtrevlig känsla

Vi hade en fantastisk semester på La Mer Resort. Den är så mysig och inte så stor. Personalen var fantastisk och var alltid trevlig och hjälpsam. Frukosten varierades varje dag och det fanns mycket att välja på även för mig som inte tål gluten. Vår bungalow hade en fin liten trädgård och duschutrymmet med naturen nära kändes mycket annorlunda på ett bra sätt. Resorten ligger en kort promenad från stranden som just där är mycket fin och ganska ren. På de små gatorna runt finns gott om små butiker restauranger o barer. Ett stort plus för det lite större kylskåpet med frysfack. Rummet var stort och sängen hård och bra. Vi kunde inte haft det bättre, möjligen hade det varit bra med några dynor till altan möbeln och större utbud i baren.

Lugnt läge nära stranden. Härlig atmosfär på hotellområdet. Trevlig och serviceinriktad personal. Nära till uthyrning av vespor och bokning av turer. Bra frukost med egenodlad frukt och grönt. Rent och fräscht poolområde. Rekommenderas varmt.

Ett prisvärt och barnvänligt boende

Ett väldigt trevligt och mysigt bungalowhotell beläget i bortre änden av Phu Quocs Long Beach. Läget är bra ca 5 min gångavstånd till stranden och ett bra utbud av restauranger i närheten. Suveränt wifi som alla har eget i sin egen bungalow.
Liten men trevlig pool. Mysig atmosfär. Frukosten är som ofta i Asien inte mycket att skryta med men den funkar. När jag var här med mina 3 barn var det ett populärt tilhhåll för både Asiater och Europeer. Kan rekomendera boendet.
