Wonderful family owned hotel, laid out in beautiful tropical gardens leading to a most gorgeous sandy and safe beach, perfect for swimming.
Rooms were roomy and beautiful. Ours was a modern room, spotlessly clean and after a hectic couple of weeks travelling around Vietnam this was a perfect stay to relax and unwind. Food was superb and happy hour drinks made a perfect sunset choice. We loved it and would definitely recommend and stay here again if we return. The staff were all so friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. Thank you.

The staff are incredibly friendly and genuinely kind people. Whoever is responsible for hiring deserves a gold star! We travelled Vietnam for a month ending our trip in Phu Quoc, it was the most difficult area for me to decide where to stay and I am so thrilled I chose Cassia Cottage! Everything was absolutely perfect! Amazing restaurant for dinner, seriously the best spread for breakfast, free yoga classes, rooms cleaned daily, very quiet location within 5 minute walk to a plethora of restaurants, spas, and nightlife. The pool area was lovely but we only dipped our toes as the beach is gorgeous! Beautiful sand, lots of loungers with umbrellas for guests, a fun swing right on the beach, plus beach is shallow so you can gently walk into the sea. I considered a number of other accommodations near and far this location, and seeing them confirmed I made the right choice. Nearby there are a couple of convenience stores for all of your needs: beer, sunscreen (cheap), treats, etc. I hadn't realized when booking that Cassia has its own filtration system so no need to buy water to brush your teeth or for drinking! You will not be disappointed with Cassia cottage.

Our recent 5-day stay at Cassia Cottage on Phu Quoc Island was nothing short of magical. Nestled in a serene location, this charming resort offered everything we could have hoped for and more.

The Family House accommodation surpassed our expectations in every way. Spacious, beautifully appointed, and thoughtfully designed with comfort in mind, it provided the perfect home base for our island adventure. We were pleasantly surprised to discover that our booking included half board - an unexpected bonus that added tremendous value to our stay.

What truly sets Cassia Cottage apart, however, is the exceptional hospitality. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, anticipating needs before we even expressed them. Their warm smiles and genuine desire to make our stay memorable were evident in every interaction. Booked the 2 bedroom Beach House for 6 nights, very comfortable with an absolutely fantastic outside space located next to a small pool. Had some rainy moments, so great to be able sit very comfortably outside. Breakfast nice. Ate lunch a couple of times at the hotel’s beach bar, really good quality. Sunset views from this beach bar stunning too. Only 10/15 mins to airport. Several places to eat, and a couple of local shops and spa/massage places on the lane that the hotel is located on off the main road. Also massage on beach right in front of hotel.

This is a beautiful property. The grounds are stunning with flowers, trees and shrubs making an idyllic setting in front of a beautiful sand beach. Very peaceful. Swimming was great. Staff very friendly with the guests. Casual vibe. Very good breakfast with great views. Great seafood restaurants right down the small street. Pick your fresh fish from the cooler and they grill it for you. Very inexpensive, but good quality and flavors. We also stayed three nights at a more expensive, secluded resort, but liked this one more due to the beach and its more lively surroundings.

Nice place to stay in Phu Quoc

Nice beach side resort with sumptuous breakfast that has lot of vegetarian options. It was comforting for us vegetarians as it is not easy to find food that does not has meat in it. Property condition could be better but nonetheless it is clean and comfortable. Staff is very nice and polite. Overall a nice stay. I will come again to this resort.

After experiencing the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City and Hoi An we were ready for some relaxation. Our experience at Cassia Cottages was very tranquil and serene, just what we were looking for. The property has a lovely restaurant, Spice House, and a fun beach bar to take in the gorgeous sunsets. The pools, and the beach were great. A good area for long beach walks! The staff was really a highlight for us. They were very friendly and helpful, we thoroughly enjoyed our interactions with them.
Our room was spacious and clean. The outdoor shower was wonderful! All in all a lovely facility that we would be happy to return to.

I do not have enough good things to say about Cassia Cottage or the lovely staff who work there!!! The property is absolutely stunning, as is the views of the ocean. With complementary sunset drinks each day, poolside service available, an epic breakfast spread and so many other services available, my partner and I hardly felt the need to leave the property haha. We saw a mix of families, couples, and solo travellers—genuinely there is something for everyone. Great quiet location but also close enough to any shopping, restaurants, tourists spots you might want to go to. We rented a scooter one day from Cassia Cottage for a really reasonable rate and were able to see everything else we wanted to see as well. All that to say—GO!

Beautiful gardens and pools.
We stayed in the seaside cottage which had an amazing view of the ocean. The cottage was spacious and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing- Starbucks coffee!!
The beach in front of the hotel was clean but…walking down the beach was a different story.
Long Beach desperately needs to clean up the garbage that collects along its shores.

I loved my stay at Cassia Cottage. They upgraded me upon my arrival which was a very kind gesture. It is as good as the pictures suggest. Staff were very helpful, the accommodation and facilities were clean and to a high standard. I wanted to unwind and relax during my time on Phu Quoc. Cassia Cottage was the perfect place to do this. If I ever return to Phu Quoc, this is where I'll stay.

Cassia Cottage has a stunning location with a wonderful beach, we had a large sea view room with outdoor shower which was beautiful, the grounds were lovely and as a whole a very good hotel
Small points to improve on for us were that the rooms were not cleaned very well, the bar closes at 7pm leaving guests with little alternative but to go elsewhere in the evening, luckily we found lots of nice restaurants and bars locally, food at The Spice in the evening was average at best when compared to other places and the evening entertainment needs updating as most music played was from the 1940s to 60s and mostly all were songs over 70 years old!
We really enjoyed our stay here but Cassia could be even better if they wanted to by looking at what others are doing, prime example would be Mango Bay Resort, had the most amazing meal there and their sand on the bar (their equivalent of the Malabar) was infinitely better suited for familes and couples in their 30s to 60s

Perfect place to relax at the beach

Cassia Cottage is a perfect choice if you want a relaxing beach vacation in a lovely smaller hotel instead of a bigger beach resort. The little strip of private beach is great. The surf is mild, so it's excellent for swimming as well as lying in the sun all day. The rooms are quite large, simple but comfortable. Great balconies. The grounds are filled with beautiful plants and flowers, which create a lot of privacy. The location is great for walking on the beach, to local restaurants, or to the night market, and fast trips back and forth to the airport. Service is very good, with staff always willing to help with kindness. The hotel caters mostly to foreigners, from young to seniors and families. You can always find a staff member who speaks English. The massages at the hotel are quite a bit more than you pay on the beach but really much better. The breakfast is excellent. I wish the restaurant had a wider and more authentic selection of Vietnamese dishes, but I was always happy with the food and drinks. Great free yoga classes daily too. I hope I have the chance to come back to Cassia Cottage. It really was the perfect choice for pure beach relaxation.

We loved that there were shops and restaurants within an easy 10min walk but then after the hustle bustle of the Main Street a short wander bought you back to the quiet tropical haven of Cassia Cottage.
The staff were great and attentive to any requests.
The gardens, restaurant, pools and beach were clean and inviting and while not a shiny modern resort the boutique ambiance of the original cottages was exactly what we were looking for.
We loved the private outdoor shower garden, good air con, and excellent wi fi in our spacious ocean view room with a mattress much firmer than we are used to being our only concern.
The Malabar beach bar was being refurbished so closed while we were there but due to open very soon and we are sorry we missed experiencing the fabulous sunset from this prime location.

I took my parents past week and we all absolutely loved it. The whole area was beautiful, it felt like I was walking through a botanical garden. I specifically chose this resort because my mom loves plants and nature. The pool areas were very nice, they use well water so it's so smooth and not chemical-y at all. I would have loved to lay on the beach area since they do have a private beach but the tide was very close to the property so wasn't able to enjoy the beach area as much unfortunately. I'm not sure if it was expedia's fault or the hotel but I guess our reservation didn't go through so the original room I had booked wasn't available the first night but the staff handled it very well. I honestly didn't really mind but they apologized so many times so I couldn't even get mad really :D. I'm not sure if it was because everything had to be done very fast but the rooms weren't that clean but it wasn't unbearable or anything, just small things. I do want to mention, the staff are very very kind and my parents want to definitely want to go back to this place if we go back to the island again. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Totally loved this place. It is beautiful with lots of trees and gardens, and an especially lovely stream coursing through the property. We only had a very slight issue one day with getting housekeeping to clean our room, but it was a minor miscommunication, and any requests we had, such as replacing the room mini-fridge or the battery in the safe, were promptly addressed. The breakfast buffet had good variety, featuring different dishes each day, and excellent choices of fresh breads, all kinds of fruit and vegetables and fresh cooked eggs in any way a guest chose. The grounds are well-maintained, very pretty, and all 3 pools are very clean. Lastly, the staff were excellent - very friendly and helpful, and a big shout out to Ron, My, Phuong and Minh - thanks for making a visit to remember. I definitely recommend this place!

We liked that it was very relaxing - besides communication issues with the staff, those were minimal. It would be nice if the hotel would take a moment each morning to pick up the trash and litter on the beach. It was discouraging to see their own construction project was also a big part of the trash around the hotel.

My daughter and I spent 4 nights at Cassia Cottage. We were only supposed to spend 3, but extended a night.
-Check in went well with Jenny showing us around. Lovely young lady.
-Just a lovely stay. So much attention to detail. The only critique would be it is very quiet. We enjoyed that for this trip but if you are looking for action, you will have to leave the resort.
-Breakfast was lovely and service is great. Phi remembered us daily and prepared my daughter her gluten free bread as my daughter has celiac disease. We had a dinner of appetizers one evening (all gluten free). Very good. For lunch they also prepared one of their sandwiches on gluten free bread, which was a great option for my daughter.
-We stayed in one of the modern rooms. Probably the one farthest from the beach and still so close. No worries with being to far from the beach. Room is extremely comfortable. (bed, pillows etc).Cleanliness was excellent.
-The grounds are impeccable. Pools clean. Towels and lounges always available.
-The Malabar could do with a new music playlist as it was very repetiive after being there a few days.
-Had a lovely and very reasonable priced outdoor one hour massage. We have been at other resorts where they provide a menu for foot and leg massages at the pool lounges. I think this could be a lovely addition.

We took daily 8 am yoga class with Sasha. We cant say enough about her. Lovely class looking out over the sea. She was a wealth of information

A quiet hotel right next to the beach, we stayed in the old house which had been converted, though the rooms were a little tired looking they had great chatacter. All food, drinks and facilities were excellent and the were always cheerful and helpful. A free cocktail at 4pm was a nice touch.

The hotel is very nice constructed, the rooms and bathroom are very big and clean. The infinity pool and the direct access to the beach make it a must to not leave the hotel during your stay. The staff is friendly and willing to assist you at any time. I really enjoyed my time there and recommend it!

We love the staff, the gm, the assistant gm, the waitresses, the cook, the gardener, the yoga instructor, the cafe staff, the front desk, the housekeepers, the pool guys, the maintenance crew, and more. We cannot express how much we love this hotel. It felt more like home with a huge backyard than an actual hotel. You have got try the BURGER!!!! and LAVA CAKE!!!!!!!! Youre hangin by the pool, order a burger with coke and fries. BEST BURGER EVER!!!! We stayed at the beach house and got to converse with the lifeguard, the maintenace crew, the housekeeper, the neighbors, and etc... It just felt so right. BTW, THE WATER IS DRINKABLE!!! SUPER DUPER CLEAN!!!

We had a fantastic stay. Beautifully maintained gardens and the best beach area on the strip. Does not have ‘resorty’ feel. Rooms are modern and very spacious. We did not make use of the pool as we prefer the ocean, but both had ample space with no issue to find a lounger. Beds comfortable, perhaps too comfortable as I never made it to the free morning yoga:) The only thing preventing 10/10 is the restaurant, food is ok with very small breakfast selection. Love thAt though grow own organic produce. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel. Overall, you could not make a better choice in the area!

Cassia Cottage is an Eco, Boutique hotel on Ba Keo beach, in a quiet location situated down a short lane and near the more upmarket La Verandah hotel. It is a 20 minute walk to the Night Market, although we took taxis due to the heat. It is also close to restaurants and bars on the main road of Duong Dong.
It has 3 pools. An infinity pool, a children's pool and an adults only pool. It has a beachside bar called Malabar which serves cold beer etc, The Spice House Restaurant which is popular with locals as well as guests and serves fresh home grown spiced Vietnamese food as well as western food at reasonable prices with mains mostly around USD 10, cocktails around USD 6.50 (my favourite being the Phu Quoc Spicy Pepper Martini) Louis Pinel Rose from France USD 21.50 a bottle and Saigon beer at USD 2.00. All in all, exceptional value for one of the top restaurants in Phu Quoc.
We gorged ourselves at the delicious breakfast every day which had Pho Soup, Egg station with bacon and sausage, cereals, home made yogurt, home baked bread croissants, pain of chocolate etc etc and not forgetting the Tamarind Jam!!!!!
We tended to either share a salad at lunch pool side and ate dinner at the spice house 4 times and at little family run restaurants on the main road for the rest.

Eye for details; everything is done right. This was my second stay and it did not disappoint. The gardens, pools, service and rooms were excellent. Even if you don’t stay here, you should go for the food at The Spicehouse. Cassia is conveniently located, right on the beach with massage facilities and beautiful sunsets, what more could you ask for?

Amazing hotel on the beach! I don't even have words to describe how incredible my experience at this hotel was. The staff is so friendly and speak excellent English. The pictures don't even do this place justice. If you want a place to escape the world, this is it! The restaurant serves delicious healthy food, much of it grown on site and locally. There aren't televisions in the room but they have a great wifi connection and outlets on both sides of the bed to accommodate us who like staring at a screen before bed. I didn't even miss not having a tv, the view from everywhere was mesmerizing. The bathrooms are clean and giant with a full-size drying rack to hang all your swim clothes. I would move in if I could.

Fantastic find, location was great and appreciated the smaller size. Gardens, pool and beach were perfect (wouldn’t swim in that sea though). Best bits for us were the yoga, breakfast (on smoothie days), cocktail time and happy hour. We received a great welcome on arrival but after that found staff quite hit and miss. The management team saw us regularly but never came up to chat, if I went back to change after breakfast I found ar army of cleaners camped outside waiting for me to leave which felt uncomfortable. The 2 reception staff really didn’t seem to care as we left and we could have done with them confirming to the transfer driver we’d already paid as he tried to charge us again at the airport. Simple things, like keeping an eye on replenishment at breakfast and stop staff crashing around during yoga would take it from great to incredible.

Our stay at Cassia Cottage was amazing. The room was clean, large and had an excellent view. The pool areas were great with plenty of areas to sit. The resort was spacious and the grounds were well kept. There was a large selection for breakfast. We ate at the Spice House Restaurant both nights and we couldn't fault the food, service and atmosphere. The staff were friendly and attentive. Overall a relaxing and welcoming resort. Highly recommended.

The hotel is awesome. Great location, beautiful and worth three pools and a beautiful beachfront. We stayed in a beach cottage and it was fantastic other than the four days that we stayed there I got the worst sleep of our entire Vietnam trip. Something was getting into our trash in the main room and it was loud enough to wake my husband and I up every night. We had them put a trap in our room and they put traps outside but even the last night the thing was out and scavenging. The last night after we took showers the hot water heater creamed for like two hours and then water streamed off of our roof for the entire night. We left in the morning with it never being addressed. We had asked for a shuttle from the airport and it never came so they promised to cover our shuttle cost back but later I realized they charged us anyway. The people and hotel staff were great and the hotel and restaurant are great, but for the cost of our stay I wish I could have gotten some sleep.

Beachfront paradise with wonderful food

Our stay at Cassia was one of the highlights of our trip. All of the staff were wonderful at their jobs and so helpful. Everyone greeted us like friends and made our stay so special. The food was stupendous with tons of variety and flavor. In fact I had a dish that I think was called Pork Lagu at the breakfast buffet that I cannot forget and would love to know how to make it! We stayed in the original section in a large seaview room overlooking the pool, beautiful gardens, palm trees and ocean in the background. We enjoyed massages at the spa listening to the ocean lap the shore, relaxed by the pool, reading on the patio, took long walks on the beach and enjoyed the food and drinks very much. We also enjoyed the close proximity to Duong Dong by taxi and great restaurants and sightseeing within walking distance from Cassia. 3 days wasn't nearly enough. I want to go back and stay a week to see more of Phu Quoc island.

Nice room and hotell on the beach. This is a Thomas cook/charter resort and if you like these types of resorts you're gonna love it. If you don't want to hang with charter tourists choose a different resort. The restaurant was great! An for Vietnam overall good English on staff.

The setting is very pretty and the room are large and have nice linens etc. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was good at the restaurant. The place is like an oasis as as soon as you walk down the lane to the busy main road you are surrounded by scooters and fumes. The only negative I would have is tat the chairs in the common area are stained and old: the reception area is very uninviting but once you get past that it gets better and the rest of the hotel is very nice.

Stunning hotel on the beach

Cassia is a beautiful resort, but relatively small and does not have that ‘resort feeling’ to it, which is a big plus. We stayed in the section opened more recently, in a Modern Deluxe Room. The room was beautiful, big, simple but stunning furnitures, comfortable bed and beautiful view from the balcony.
The gardens are very nice and well kept and there is a great infinity pool in the new area, overlooking the sea. There are a private beach and a strip of beach right in front of the sea, which also feels very private and quiet compared to other resorts around. Watching the sunset from there is fantastic.
The only improvement I would recommend is in the restaurant.
In general the quality of the food is great - breakfast is good and we also had dinner twice there - but there have been some confusion and mistakes, especially at breakfast. Perhaps the level of English at the restaurant should be a bit better considering the place.
Also, we find it weird that the coffee on offer at breakfast is a ‘Starbucks’ arabica instead of the delicious Vietnamese coffee that the Country is famous for! Vietnamese coffee is available on request (and not free of charge) and the staff seemed very shocked the first day I asked for it, surely it must have happened before?
Nevertheless it was a great stay, I would definitely go back and recommend!

Lovely staff, nice restaurant at the hotel. Beach is lovely and clean. About a 15min walk into town but you really don’t need to go into town. There’s enough nice restaurants near the hotel. You can walk along the beach, 5min, to Rory’s beach bar and behind the bar is a pretty lively street.
Cassia has big rooms and a really nice pool. There’s a few mini marts up the road from it and you can fill your fridge with cheap beer and spirits and have some drinks from the big balconies attached to the rooms.

Phu Quoc Cassia Cottage

It was a wonderful resort type atmosphere but with lovely buildings surrounding the pools and ocean. The restaurant was exceptional and the bonus free yoga morning and evening was inspirational, a great start to the day followed by a fantastic breakfast. We had a la ge Seaview room right in front was two pools and the ocean. We will return the most relaxed part of our holiday.

Lovely beach position.

Firstly I have to mention the wonderful staff. From our arrival until we left they went out of their way to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
Cassia cottage is right on the beach where we enjoyed cocktails while watching the glorious sunsets.
It is now under new management and just in the 8 days we were there we could already see improvements being made.
There are 3 pools if you don't want to swim in the ocean. Or why not do both.
The gardens are a delight and it was lovely to see the staff picking the herbs and vegetables fresh for the restaurant.
All in all a great place and I would certainly recommend Cassia.

Very very nice!

We arrived at Phu Quoc knowing very little about it, however, the uncertainty of what to expect assisted in the overall experience of the island. Cassia Cottage were easy to communicate with and we were able to organise a transfer pick up from the airport for as little as US$10 (the hotel is tricky to locate so a transfer was well worth it). Our transfer was waiting for us as we arrived at the airport and swiftly took our bags and took us to the hotel. We were greeted with a refreshing drink and a map of Phu Quoc, we were before check in time however our room was ready as we arrived. The rooms were well above our expectations, they were spacious with a big bed and an above standard bathroom. The pool area looked like it had recently been renovated and provided us with many hours of lounging whilst the lovely staff served us food and drinks (in which you can just put under your room number and pay at check out). The restaurant was excellent without being extravagant which is exactly what we needed. The hotel was rather quiet as we went during wet season (June) however it hardly rained and we had 30+ degrees and sunny for our entire stay. We hired motor bikes from the hotel and explored the island which was our favourite experience of our whole trip.

Great little hide away

Very nice resort style hotel. It's down a little side road which you can easily miss.
It's got a beautiful pool and private beach area with the bar very close.
No tv, oh well.
Mosquitos are lively and the bed net serves it's purpose well..
Really is a great relaxing resort

We had a great time here! Lovely staff and grounds, and the pool was great as well. We loved the large bathroom and open air shower. The beach was not as great as Sao beach in the south but the rest of the hotel certainly made up for it.
