It was good except too much mosquitoes. Hotel ought to spray to keep them under control. Also entrance door with no light is very dangerous at night. Water pressure was weak; and water temperature are two big issues during my stay.

Over Christmas and New Years I stayed ten days at the resort. Despite it being fully booked, the resort was very understaffed which led to disorganized cleaning schedules (either at 7:00 in the morning or 5:00 in the afternoon), almost no drink menu (2) (although 30 options were listed on the menu board), a very minimalist menu (5 items only available until 6:00 pm), and seemingly overworked staff (2 in twenty four hours). However, prior reviews which mentioned no hot water or room kettles were incorrect. The rooms were lovely. The stay was wonderful. The staff were outgoing and courteous. The beach was well kept and the pool clean.

Location is good (however, most likely need to hire a scooter or get a taxi to most restaurants). Beach is pretty, pool is nice and breakfast was substantial. Service was average, beds are hard and mosquitoes prevalent at night (repellent is a must). No tv or phone in the room, this did not affect our stay but may be of interest to you. Be aware hot water is intermittent secondary to solar systems. Overall, a few areas for improvement, however reasonable value for money

We loved that the property was very relaxed and absolute beachfront, barefoot bar/restaurant on the beach, plenty of sun lounges, great pool, good breakfast included and plenty of other bar/dining options a short distance along the beach in either direction.

Negatives were: extremely hard and uncomfortable bed, shower was virtually useless due to lack of water pressure. Mosquitoes had easy access to the room via the loosely fitting sliding door to the external bathroom. The other big negative was the plastic waste in the water and along the beach, nothing to do with the hotel of course but the floating debris in the ocean is disgusting and certainly lessens the enjoyment of swimming at the beach.

Thanh Kieu Beach Resort is a beautiful relaxing place surrounded by magnificent gardens and situated next to a super sandy beach. The swimming pool is appealing, clean and modern. The staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. The facilities and the variety and standard of food is good. We had a lovely relaxing stay.

We had a very nice stay here. The beach was in good condition and plenty of chairs, towels, etc. Beautiful new pool. Friendly and helpful staff with a gracious manager named Kien. Our room was nice with very comfortable beds. Ceiling fan was not working, but the AC was adequate. I do wish to make one note about the outdoor style bathrooms. They are lovely but mosquito-filled. None of us could go in there without being swarmed. Additionally, the mosquitos would draft into the bedrooms before you could close the door after use. There were mosquito nettings over the beds, but we had to clear them of mosquitos every night. You have to get them all, which is met with limited success. For the outdoor bathroom reason ALONE we cannot return. If they could figure out a way to keep mosquitos out of there then we would be back to this otherwise nice resort.

The resort is amazing! Great private beach, among the best we have seen on the whole Long beach. The bungalows are surrounded by a nice garden, which is very well maintained. The whole resort is very peaceful. There is great infinity pool with warm water and jakuzzi right behind the beach with a view to the sea and the sunset. Staff is very kind. There are also plenty of restaurants nearby which serve delicious food. My friends and I truly enjoyed our stay at this place and would certainly come back.

This hotel is in a fantastic location with a great beach for swimming or just going for a walk.
A new pool was just being finished but not yet open.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately the room air con wasn`t working but the staff arranged for a new unit to be installed on day 2.
I stayed at the end of off season and the beachside bar & restaurant was closed which was a pity as the weather was great. This meant that I had most meals and all drinks at other locations of which there are plenty.
The room had a comfortable bed, bar fridge and an old safe but not much else. No TV, intermittent WiFi and no kettle (get hot water thermos from restaurant).
The bathrooms are outside which was interesting (keep door closed to keep mozzies out & cool air in.
This hotel has great potential but is let down slightly by the room amenity. If you only use the room for sleeping then I would recommend.

Beautiful garden villas on the beach

We stayed in a two bedroom villa right on Long Beach. The villa was clean, very comfortable beds and quirky bathrooms with outdoor showers. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We went to sleep with the sound of the rolling waves and woke up with them. The villlas are very private with beautiful gardens in between. We were literally 20 steps from the beach. They are currently building a pool overlooking the sea which will make this resort even better. If you are looking for a unique quiet small resort then I would highly recommend it.

I don’t have words to describe our stay here. Of course the beach bungalow, beautiful beach, gorgeous grounds, outdoor shower makes this place awesome. But there this place truly exceeds is the staff! From the minute we landed in Phu Quoc the staff has made sure everything was taken care. They welcomed us and we felt like part of the family. I got a little sick during our stay and the hotel manager made sure I had everything I needed to get better! Our kids loved it too! The breakfast that is included is outstanding and the option of renting motorbike was just pure joy! Thank thank thank you!!

Probably one of the nicest parts of long beach is getting rather overdeveloped. Very friendly staff. Basic, clean bungalows set in stunning gardens. Not cheap for Vietnam but the location kind of makes it worth it.

Would love to stay here again!

Our 3-night stay at Thanh Kieu was the perfect end to our trip. Our bungalow felt comfortable and private, with an awesome outdoor bathroom. The private beach was in a great location and included beach chairs for use by guests only. The staff was wonderful and helped us book a motorbike rental and a boat tour to the An Thoi Islands. Great free breakfast, but the restaurant was a bit pricey otherwise (although it's to be expected directly on the beach). Would love to come back and stay here again!

just returned from 3 weeks at hotel thanu keiu, what a loverly place to be staff are lovely and polite rooms cleaned every day with clean bed linenen and towels, plenty of hot water, the gardens are immaculate, the staff all work very hard, breakfast is good plenty of options, also nice private beach with plenty of sun beds,this was our first time to vietnam and we have had a brilliant time, and would we go again yes definatley we would and would like to say thankyou to all staff and managent for all their hard work .thankyou .

What an amazing place, right at the beach, guests only. Great restaurant with good food fresh smoothies and all types of drinks. We loved the grilled fish from the bbq at the beach. All staff are very friendly and very helpful.
The hotel is located at walking distance of other restaurant bars and shops. Airport is just 15 minutes away
Too Bad we had some cold and rainy days, which is rear in December. The showers use solar power to heat up the water, on these cold and rainy days we only had cold water at our bungalow.
The hotel needs to put up more sun beds. There are not enough beds for all guests.
We enjoyed our stay a lot and would recommend it if you want to enjoy beach time, also very suitable for families.

Great place!

We had a nice stay at Thanh Kieu. Bungalow are comfortable, and you sleep very well. The beach is great and clean. Breakfast is good.
Unfortunatly, a few of non respectable guess will reserve a place on the best spot on the beach early in the morning and leave to go out in town for hours before coming back. For that, we wish hotel staff would do something about as this is unfair and unpleasent for other guess. This is the only thing that was an issu for us.

2nd stay, will stay again.

This was our second stay at the property, this time with with our young child. We stayed in a sea view room. The staff arranged a roll away bed for our child. There is no tv, but you will not miss it (we have our tv on all the time at home, but we did not miss it one bit). The bungalows are immediately on the beach, and there are ample lounges wuth cushions and free beach towels. Buffet breakfast is included in rate, and they provide both Asian and Western food. There is also a restaurant on site... however we found it a little expensive compared to other nearby restaurants. The property is an easy 10min walk into the centre of Duong Dong, and approx 5min drive from the airport. Overall we had a lovely stay, the staff are very friendly. I would recommend to Thanh Kieu to both couples and small families.

Very quaint little spot on one of the best beaches of this island. Cheaper than many of the other spots, yet better location than most, I'd recommend staying here over anywhere else. I had a walk down the beach both directions and checked out the other beachfronts, and this one was equally as good as the others.

What a wonderful place

Loved every minute. The staff are brilliant, the location is perfect. There are luxury resorts all around which are double or triple the price, but by focusing on service and simplicity, Thanh Kieu wins out over all of them. Breakfast could use a little improvement, but it's pretty standard Vietnamese fare. I ate in the restaurant twice and it was excellent. The bungalows are simple, but charming, and the open bathroom is wonderful. Unlike places I've stayed in Mui Ne and Phan Tiet, the beach was nearly immaculate and the water lovely. I will definitely stay here next time I come to Phu Quoc. If you're prone to attracting a lot of Mosquito bites as me, be sure to stock up on protection as it can be difficult to find here. The bed has nets but I still got rather eaten alive!

Phu quoc is beautiful and Thanh Kieu was a great restort, being right on the beach and a 30minute walk to the night market (or $2 cab ride). Our room was spacious and well air conditioned, however the bed mattress was hard which made it difficult to sleep and the room wasn't well sealed making it easy for bugs to get in (e.g. window didn't close properly).

Great choice if you like a very firm mattress.

Very nice beach hotel but..

The hotel itself is really lovely but once you are out of the hotel and not on the beach, the surroundings leave much to be desired. Not the hotel's fault - the whole Duong Dong area on the whole us overdeveloped in a rather haphazard manner.

In the middle of beautiful gardens and on the best spot on the beach, and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The best coffee I have ever tasted at breakfast. Okay so there is no TV or kettle, if this is important go elsewhere, but if you want a beautiful peaceful oasis then this is definitely the place for you.

The check-in was quick and painless. The bungalow I was given was a one minute walk to the beach. It was cute and had a hammock on the front porch. There is mosquito netting for the beds and the bathroom is outside. I did see a small lizard in the room but it was only after I had left the bathroom door unlatched but did not have a problem with mosquitoes, except when trying to use the hammock in the evening. The breakfast was fine. I asked for and was given just egg whites and the fruit basket was quite nice. Everyone I encountered was very pleasant. I did not eat lunch or dinner in the restaurant. I did go to the restaurant next door because I liked their options better for my restrictive diet. Overall a good stay. I liked the location as far as the beach goes but there was nothing else around. I would stay there again.

A nice hotel with small hubs that have all the basics and extra. The bathroom is outside which we very much liked! :) We stayed during a more low season time, which meant that the hotel was not fully running. (Dinner e.g. at the hotel was not open) But we did already know that when we booked :)

When planning our 2 week trip around the South of Vietnam, we decided that a few days at the beach before our journey home would leave us feeling nice and relaxed.
Our stay at this hotel didn't disappoint!
We had a Garden View Bungalow and the view... was fantastic! Due to the low palm trees on the beach, we probably had a better view of the sea than those staying in a Sea View Bungalow.
The beach in front of the hotel was the nicest part of that stretch in our opinion, as we walked along the beach in both directions, there were some rather untidy parts, so we were glad to have chosen to stay here.
There are plenty of sunbeds and shaded areas too. The beach bar is handy, they do a nice club sandwich! It's also great for getting those drinks in, just in time to watch the sunset over the sea. The only downside is that this bar closes at about 8pm. With a bit of music and some lanterns, it'd be a lovely place to sit out until late at night.
The bungalow was a good size but basic, sounds bad but because of the location and lack of a late night bar... the room would have benefitted from a TV/Radio. The outdoor shower / toilet was interesting, I had a frog watch me shower one day. The downside to this is that it did invite a few mosquitos to the room but not enough to really bother us. We found that blocking the gaps under doors with dirty clothes stopped all bugs.
Breakfasts here are buffet style but they're nice and plentiful.
The place is perfect for lounging and relaxing

Perfect place to good money

My boyfriend and I stayed for 3 nights. Great beach, chill atmosphere, friendly staff and good breakfast. Did not eat at the hotel for dinner. We ate dinner at Cassia Cottage (neighbor hotel) and Mango Bay (north to Long Beach) - you must go there, just rent a scooter to Mango Bay! Would absolutely stay at Thanh Kieu again.

Authentic beach bungalows in a developing area. Great views and bar right on the beach. Lots of building going on in surrounding area, making the town chaotic... Best to walk along the beach for restaurants. Some staff amazing and some very miserable!

Non-functioning hotel

Hotel in very poor condition. Surrounded by new noisy building sites. Rooms very antiquated and far small than advertised. No TV, no telephone system. Food quality and cleanliness very poor. Service nil, restaurant staff ignore customer focused on their own food n cooking. Hotel basically not functioning as a hotel any more. Though booked for two nights we checked-out after only six hours - unlivable.

Great place if you want privacy! Beach chairs and towels are provided. Beds are equipped with mosquito nets although they don't keep out all the bugs. Beds are a little on the harder side. There are little critters that roam the walls so beware! I loved the open air over the shower. Shower pressure was pretty low. Free breakfast was nice, decent selection. I think all the bungalows now have a/c, they installed the a/c in my bungalow while I was there (standard priced bungalow). The nicer ones have glass sliding doors and a view of the beach. But the resort area is lovely with lots of banana trees and green, beautifully maintained, chickens run around the yards there is also a hammock on each bungalow's front porch. Also has a large safe in the bungalow.

Rummet var helt perfekt för oss. Mysigt med toaletten o duschen utomhus. Det vi älskade mest var den vackra trädgården. Vi satt på vår veranda varje kväll och bara njöt. Stranden med solnedgången var helt magisk. Jättefin frukost med mycket att välja på.

職員溝通不良，英文水平有待提高。完全沒有防蚊意識，這是我在富國島入住的第二間度假村，在第一間時我見到他們有做防蚊設施 (所以他們沒有嚴重蚊患)，而這間完全沒有做防蚊設施，在我進入房間時發現超過20隻以上的蚊子，而他們的房門和窗是有嚴重漏罅和孔的，導致蚊子完全自由地進入房間，而他們亦沒有提供蚊香或滅蚊工具。我在這裏入住了三晚已發現及消滅五隻大蟑螂和應該50隻以上的蚊子，導致我來這裏不是度假, 是滅蟲。

Beautiful resort with a very well taken cared of garden. The beach is nice but a bit of trash (however I saw the staff collect it regularly so not their fault at all). Staff in the restaurant was very friendly. The rooms were clean, however the toilet seat was kinda worn down and needed replacement in my opinion.

모기와 약간의 벌레에 예민하지 않다면 좋은 숙소입니다.
침대에 모기장이 있어 잘 때 모기 때문에 힘들지 않았습니다. 모기가 많지만 잘 물지는 않았습니다.
아침 부페는 만족스러웠습니다. 직원들은 친절합니다. 전용비치가 너무 좋았습니다.

This is paradise!

This is paradise! A great pool close to the superb beach, tremendous breakfast buffet (variable every day) - where you also can order different kinds of pancakes and omelettes - as well as soup. The home made fruit juice can also be recommended.

Our bungalow was great - outdoor shower and toilet - together with a clean room. We got new beach towels AND room towels every day. The room´s refrigerator was also nice to have.

The resort is located in the end of the street - so there is no noise at all from the main street some 200 m away.

There are good family restaurants - with fresh and value seafood - on the way to the main street.

The resort is VERY well run.

If (and only if) I shall complain about something, is about the room´s electrical wall sockets. I think only one of nine worked correctly. So please bring a "multi outlet" - it is needed. (And the resort offered one for us).

Die ersten 2 von 4 Nächten unseres Aufenthalt sind wir in einem Zimmer untergebracht wurden, welches überhaupt nicht mit der Beschreibung auf Hotels.com übereingestimmt hat. Die 3. und 4. On the negatove side that are worth mentioning is that it was quite alot of mosqutios, among some lizards. Endroit paradisiaque! Personnel très accueillant. Une des plus belle plage privée de la côte ouest! Piscine magnifique. Tout à côté (restaurants,épicerie...) bonnes prestations,location de scooter sur place,spa...ils nous ont offert le taxi pour repartir à l’aeroport :)

Jättefin strand och pool, bra pool/beachbar. Mysiga och fräscha bungalows, dock lite halvdåliga duschar med dåligt /ojämnt tryck. Även värmen var varierande i duschen. Bra men liten frukost.

Vidunderligt sted under renovering

Super hyggeligt hotel som ligger et stykke fra alt så der er meget fredeligt. Vi blev skuffet over at strandrestauranten var under renovering indtil 1. Oktober og det havde vi ikke fået noget af vide om. Der udover var restauranten stort set tom hver aften og vi spiste derfor ude - det var ikke specielt hyggeligt.
Personalet var meget flinke og behjælpelige.
Vi ville komme igen, men når strandrestauranten var åben.

Das Resort liegt direkt am Strand welcher sehr sauber und gepflegt ist. Die Bungalows sind schön angeordnet, man merkt kaum wie viele es sind - die Anlage ist sehr ruhig.
Es gibt genügend Liegen für alle (Strand und Pool) und das Personal ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend.

Personnel très chaleureux, serviable et accueillant.
Les bungalow sont très bien équipés et d’une grande propreté.
La piscine a débordement donne sur la plage ce qui est vraiment reposant. (Le personnel fournit même les serviettes de piscine / plage). La matin vous disposez d’un petit déjeuner buffet, tout est délicieux ! Enfin, l’hotel est bien situé, non loin du marché de nuit dans un secteur calme entouré de toute les commodités (supérettes, restaurants) . Je recommande vraiment n’hesitez pas ! :)

Service helt i top. Rigtigt flinke og hjælpsomme. Morgenmad kunne godt bruge en lille upgrade, samt der kunne bruges lidt flere solsenge på strand/pool. Men udover dette et super lækkert sted!
