No matter how many times we return to this hotel—and we’ve honestly lost count—each stay somehow manages to exceed the last. The staff are consistently professional and courteous, yet every visit they feel even more polished, attentive, and experienced. They made this stay so comfortable and enjoyable that we’ve already begun planning our next trip back.
The rooms are spotless and thoughtfully prepared, and the food is always fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. It’s genuinely hard to find anything to critique.
We’ll continue choosing this hotel every time we’re in Phu Quoc, and we’ll keep recommending it to friends as the place to stay on the island.

Excellent resort with great ammenities. The gardens are just stunning and the pool area is the perfect place to curl up with a book. What makes this resort the perfect go to is the staff, Sam is a gift and the entire team do not fail to deliver day upon day. The rooms are a little bit dated but the resort gardens, ammenities and dining options make up for the lack of modern room styling. There are plenty of dining options within walking distance but for the price point and taste factor we happily ate at the resort on multiple occasions, most certainly do the upstairs dining option of an evening, an absolute experience. If you want drinks and vibe pop next door out the back to the left for some drinks and bites and then pop back to the luxury La Veranda has to offer. Truly it’s a home away from home and the staff create this beautiful energy :)

The only note that, I booked the ocean front, but I got the ocean view one: I’m not sure they have true ocean front one. Overall, I do enjoy my stay. Just beware so you don’t have to overpay for the type of room that you select.

We have travelled all around Vietnam and have so many lovely stays everywhere we have stayed but the service here was a dream. So many smiles and kindness from all the staff. The grounds are stunning, Pool beautiful and warm. We even found a wine we liked here which is saying alot. The tropical foliage on the paths around grounds is stunning as well. We used the spa, had several dinners , and listened to music from their talented singers. We didnt use beach alot but their staff were right there making sure you were taken care of. I personally thought water looked polluted which is not their fault. Lots of mosquitos though so bring bug spray. The hotel tried spraying best they could. But you are in jungle. 100 percent recommend. Oh the breakfast was devine each morning with a breathtaking view . Turn down service with a baked treat was just the added touch to make this a world class special treat.

This is quite simply the best hotel on the island. The staff go above and beyond. Sam who leads the team really knows what makes a perfect stay. The hotel is nestled away in a busy area but it has this wonderful calming tranquil vibe. It's also spacious, from dining to the beach it's all laid out so it's very private.
The food is excellent, and the cocktails are just perfect.
The on-site spa is my favourite in the world, the staff are all fully trained massueses and it shows!
Having visited Phu quoc for over 10 years and also staying at many other hotels ( because we split our stay over 2 weeks) there is no where that comes close to La Veranda.

The best hotel on the Phu Quoc island!! We booked two hotels, both considered the best hotels and LaVeranda is by far the best, in our opinion. Excellent beach, beautiful gardens, people who work here know you by name and are sincerely interested in making your stay as enjoyable as possible. Loved the food - both for breakfast and when you come in for lunch or dinner. In fact, even after we moved to another hotel, we were coming back to enjoy the food, the atmosphere and the live music and singing. The beach is really the best. The hotel is not very big which makes it very cozy and the beach is more than enough for people who come stay here. The rooms are always cleaned perfectly. The yoga and meditation sessions are amazing. Absolutely in love with the SPA services and center. Booked several massage sessions with Tram and felt so light and relaxed after them (Tram is amazing!) Sam, the Guest Experience Manager, is so welcoming and always very helpful - an absolute pleasure to deal with! Sin, the chef, cooks amazing food - went for a cooking class with him. All the staff is great, helpful and really made our vacation one of the best experiences of our life. We strongly recommend to spend time at LaVeranda if you consider going to Phu Quoc. Even if you don’t stay here, you will enjoy coming for SPA or food. We really feel like we left a family there as the whole team became so dear to our hearts!

La Veranda was the best property I stayed at while my three weeks in Vietnam. I am definitely recommending this to friends and if I return to the island, I will stay here the staff was above and beyond friendly. Sam, from guest relations made me feel so welcome from the onset of my visit. Luan also made me feel very welcome in explaining the property amenities. I pre-planned a massage and that was an amazing way to start my visit. I didn’t feel like I needed to leave the resort as the beach and pool were so lovely and quiet. The beach waters were safe and I knew the beach staff was looking out. The breakfast buffet was very good, I enjoyed the maid to order eggs and pancakes. The pastry section was very good being a solo traveler. I appreciated how extensive the in room dining menu was and how excellent the food tasted. I didn’t want to leave this property. Everything exceeded my expectations.

This is easily the best hotel on phu quoc. It is beautifully styled in a French colonial look, it has its own spacious beach area and pool. A great gym and free daily yoga with a wonderful Vietnamese teacher The staff are fantastic, the food is great. If you want to switch off and enjoy some peace and quiet this is the place for you. Please do tip the staff the average wage is $30 a week they work 6 days!! A couple of dollars goes a long way!

This was our second stay and yet again we were impressed.

Strengths:
Price repositioning due to Covid, making this an unbeatable offer.
The chef in the restaurant is the secret weapon - offering superb quality and refined meals.
Welcome drink is of a high standard
Villa's are spacious, and anti mosquito measures available (as you literally live in a jungle)
Swimming pool is cozy - well maintained
Service is splendid

Area's of improvement:
Nothing special or lacking, but unfortunately the beach is currently destroyed due to tidal impact while this will be fixed due time.
Not under La Veranda control is the next door local resort playing loud music and the construction on the other side.
Breakfast is "a la carte" and OK, albeit it lacks a bit of refinement vs the Restaurant experience

As a total experience, this is a 4 on 5 star great score in troublesome times.

Good Place To Relax

Nice and quiet resort with a lot of trees and plants. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Very short walk to the beach and swim there where the water is clean and calm. My room is a bit small with a queen size bed otherwise everything is perfect. The bed is comfortable and the balcony size is good. Just a short ride to the night market, my favorite sea food restaurant Xin Chao and the airport. You can walk easily to the King Kong supermarket to buy snacks and drinks. Buffet breakfast is good with many varieties and sitting area is very comfortable . The TV channels are ok but not the best and I wish the TV screen can be larger. I was there on Christmas eve and I received a little gift from the hotel. That is very nice.

We had however some issues with a faulty old airco but the resort provided the possibility for an upgrade to a villa. This is probably the best hotel my family and I have ever stayed in. The staff made us feel at home right from our check in. The beach area was for hotel guests only and that limited the number of people and generated a relaxing atmosphere, unlike the hotels either side. Everything my wife and I wanted in a relaxing holiday was at our fingertips. The rooms were well decorated and clean and secluded from other rooms by the wonderfully gardens. The managers were always walking around to make sure guests were happy and all their needs were catered for. The food and restaurants were marvellous although a bit pricey, but I suppose that is worth paying for the quality. The only improvement my sons would suggest is to replace the gym equipment as it was not working. Shops are within walking distance but as you would suspect the main shopping street is very busy at night.

Staff and reception was very good. Thao and Lai were amazing and deserve the best for all of their hard work. Complimentary airport pickup was nice. Food at the resort was good. Service from Thuan and Ngan was phenomenal, as well as another individual who I forget his name. Bar and beach service was also good. One thing about it that we didn't like was the rough brick/rock pavement. It was very uneven, making walking and transferring luggage tough at times.

It feels like home.

Fabulous LaVeranda; Filthy Phu Quoc!

We loved the quiet elegance of this resort. It’s beautifully run - the staff are very attentive. English isn’t widely spoken but we managed to understand each other very well.

The rooms are lovely, our only issue was that the bed was way too soft -- we aren't used to this and found it difficult to sleep for extended periods of time.

The food was fabulous, with a wide variety of healthy and decadent options. And the bar and dining areas were very beautifully set up - more like a private home rather than a hotel.

The actual spa is under renovation and will soon make way for a wellness centre, but there’s nothing to complain about the set up of the temporary spa - it’s really good. The other facilities are understated but beautifully maintained, with lush gardens throughout.

Best of all, though it is by no means small, it feels personal, intimate and customised to your needs. With great WiFi, which means both work and Netflix have been easily accessible.

We only explored two things on the island -- the morning market and the evening market. We were completely turned off by how dirty the whole island is. Even the sea in front of the hotel was dirty, though the staff were very quick to pick up any garbage that floated to short. The situation is very bad and will hardly make the island sustainable in the long term. If we do come back, it will only be to enjoy the facilities at La Veranda, the rest of the island that we experienced was pretty awful.

ホテルはコロニアル調の外観で、随所にセンスが感じられる内装です。部屋は恐らく標準タイプに泊まりました。あまり広くはないものの、天井が高いからか狭さを感じさせず、また掃除や手入れも行き届いていて満足です。全体的にヨーロッパやアメリカからのお客さんが多い印象で、アジア系のお客さんは少数派でしたので、ベトナムにいる感じがしませんでした。日本人は数組宿泊していました。ホテルの規模からも、大人数のツアー客はまず泊まることはないですし、ホテルのどこにいても静かで大変リラックスすることができました。部屋にお菓子のサービスがあったり、プールサイドでシャーベットが振る舞われたり、ちょっとしたサービスが嬉しかったです。朝ごはんは種類が豊富で、何より味がとても美味しかったです。2泊しましたが、2日目の朝ごはんのサラダ類の種類が前日からガラッと変わっていたのにも驚きました。連泊しても飽きない工夫がされています。また、ホテル内のPepper Treeというレストランで夕食（フレンチ、ベトナミーズのフュージョン）をとりましたが、こちらの食事も素晴らしかったです。とにかく素晴らしいホテルだったので、次回フーコックに来ることがあれば、またこのホテルに泊まりたいです。2泊でものんびりできましたが、3泊はしてもいいかなと思いました。

I really like this La Veranda hotel. My first impression of this place was the staff were very nice, friendly, and courteous. The second impression is the beautiful and well thought out design of the rooms. I can tell that the designers and staff had put a lot of thought into every small detail that was very much appreciated. For instance, there was an umbrella available for use by guests at every room as well as flip flops, bathrobes, and free fruits just to name a few. I particularly love the personalized letters along with desserts as a welcoming gesture (this definitely made me feel welcomed and appreciated). To top it off, we were offered free shuttle service to the airport on the last day of our stay. I would most definitely consider staying at this hotel again if I were to visit Phu Quoc island again in the future. This is by far the best hotel that I have stayed in during my entire trip to Vietnam.

La Veranda is a fantastic resort. We stayed in a bungalow that was nestled in the mature gardens. The room was large with a 4 poster bed and excellent bathroom. The pool and beach were both fantastic and there was always someone close by if you needed anything. The staff were very attentive and professional and we apreciated the cake and flowers for my wifes birthday. The only issue we had was the price of everything on site. The mini bar prices were 4 or 5 times greater than the same items in the local shop. The bar, restaurant and spa were also expensive. We had one dinner and a few cocktails on site. The standard was high but I still think the prices were a bit much. The bar was empty most nights, while lots of patrons of the hotel were next door in rorys beach bar. Overall though we had an excellent 5 days relaxation at last veranda.

A Tranquil Place to unwind

This oasis is quite special. Without exception, every staff member greets you and smiles when they pass by along the brick paths through the gardens that connect each of the buildings. Service is impeccable and nothing is too much trouble.

The swimming pool set back from the beach provides a lovely private area still with views of the sea and only a few yards from the pale sandy beach.

Prices are not cheap but appropriate for this class of establishment.

Complimentary bottled drinking water is provided in the bedrooms but not at the bar or with meals. Instead water is provided in 50cl carafes and charged for without any warning.

Don't be surprised to see large water pipes on the beach discharging their contents into the sea. Only surface water not effluent.

A wonderful place to visit for a short break.

Lovely hotel for romantic getaways

Hotel is great, morning yoga lesson near the beach was excellent, not so much for the exercise but the breeze. Weather was poor during my stay so did not do much water sports, island itself not much to see.

Best hotel on pho quoc

Great hotel, food,service, and entertainment. Spa was excellent. Only disappointment was that the beaches are very polluted with rubbish from neighbouring properties so we swam in the pool.

Needs to lift its game

It is an excellent hotel in an excellent position but the staff are remote, do the showy things well but ignore the basics. It wasn't value for money.

Beautiful colonial feel and great location

They've done a great job of recreating the colonial feel with this property and its well kept gardens. The location just south of town is perfect and the beach is stunning. Breakfast is outstanding especially the pastries which are usually pretty ordinary at hotel buffets. Although the rooms were comfortable, they could do with a more luxurious upgrade to reflect the price point of this hotel.

Fabulous Resort

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the La Veranda Resort. It was very relaxing, the food was great. Breakfast was such a delight to have over looking the sea. Yoga on the beach, gym and spa to use. As well as kayaking what more could you ask for.

You have the choice of either swimming in the pool or sea.

Excellent hotel

Excellent hotel. Very charming, kind and helpful staff who make you very welcome and do everything to make your holiday enjoyable. Excellent reception and checking in on arrival. Rooms well maintained, clean and comfortable. Gardens beautiful. Beach facilities very good with staff helping to place loungers where required. Highly recommended.

Lovely Hotel

A lovely Hotel -- well worth it's 5 star rating . Right on the beach and excellent standards with very attentive staff. The price one pays for this Hotel ,however, should mean that Breakfast should be included in the price--- it is an insult to have to pay extra ( at $20 per person).Local diners got our custom.

Beautiful property, but expensive

Although the facilities are beautiful, we found this hotel to be a little too large and "corporate" for us. While quite expensive (over $225/night), our room had no view whatsoever. When we inquired about a room with a view, we were told we could move the next day for an additional $170/day! Because of the size, service was more impersonal, but the staff did allow us to return to the hotel pool area while waiting for our 5 p.m. flight, which was appreciated. If we were to return to Phu Quoc, we would check out Chez Carole Resort. The property appeared to be lovely and the prices were more reasonable. Also it was close to the excellent food at Mango Bay. Also very nice, but no A/C.

Three nights of bliss!

This is a spectacular hotel on the lovely island of Phu Quoc and definitely worth booking.
The warm and wonderful welcome is fantastic and the staff incredibly polite. Love the relaxing welcome drink, cold towel and refreshing drink offered in the bar upon arrival!
The pool area is amazing and hard to drag yourself away from!
Breakfast is superb! Location superb! Staff superb!
Maximilian is very warm and welcoming as the Resort Manager!
Only downside is that the Aircon in the room is a little ineffective but I think that's to do with the electricity supply to the island in general.
A real plus to booking this hotel is it's location and proximity to Rory's Beach Bar, which is next door. Wonderful place to kick back and enjoy the hospitality of husband and wife team: Rory and Yoon! It's a must!

beautiful hotel

This is a gorgeous property, with great ocean views. The restaurant was some of the best food I've had in Vietnam, and we live in Hanoi. Although one issue was several of our party got food poisoning and seeing as we only ate at their restaurant and their sister restaurant on Sao beach it must have come from one of them. Also you do feel a bit surrounded by lots of other hostels and restaurants, and the beach on the east coast is much nicer. None the less we had a lovely stay and would go back.

We really enjoyed our stay in Phu Quoc. The hotel is pretty expensive, but ultimately worth it for the nice rooms, beach, and especially the beautiful pool. My two wishes would have been cheaper drinks at the hotel - although you can just buy a bottle in town and make your own or head next door to Rory's - and that they buy some new bikes. For how much we spent to stay it would have been nice to have all working, newish bikes to use whenever we wanted.

Relaxation in paradise

Beautiful rooms, lovely pool, amazing food, well-kept beach and great staff. This was a wonderful relaxing end to our holiday. I would definitely recommend this as a treat.

I had a really bad experience at this hotel. From the moment we stayed, where we were charged a mandatory $130 dollars each for the Christmas buffet not including drinks. I was vegetarian and there was nothing on the menu. I was told that I should have told them in advance (which I didn't know I had to do). then they gave me a last minute menu including clear soup, salad etc - still not worth $130. Only from having to speak to about 4 different members of staff, did they agree that for a vegetarian it was not sufficient and they would let me have drinks included for this price. Then when we were about to check out of our room, we had 2 people knock on our door and one person call our room chasing us to check out all within 10 minutes of the check out time. The service is below par for a 5* hotel.

Old Fashioned Elegance

From arrival to departure we were treated like royalty. The staff are sensational, the hotel is immaculately presented and maintained and the lush planting makes you feel like you are holidaying on an island paradise.

Head Chef "Jan" has to be commended for his flair of presentation and the taste of his food. Beautifully balanced dishes that were pure delight to explore. His nightly wanderings among the diners is the mark of a professional that takes the time to see if his guests enjoyed his offerings, or didn't!

All I ever heard was praise and you know the food is great when the tables around you fall silent as they are too busy eating.

This is somewhere I will return to. Breathtaking sunsets, family restaurants along the beach, warm tropical water, the list goes on.

Well done Le Verandah!

Such a wonderful atmosphere & friendly staffs

I wanted to take my gf to a getaway place and since phu quoc was near our area, we decided to travel here. We stayed at Chen sea hotel and I must say La veranda is by far a better place to stay. Not only are the staff and the ambiance are better then Chen sea, but the food is amazing @ a very reasonable price. The staffs are friendly and ao helpful. They make our stay so pleasant. This is actually my first review for any Hotel only because I think they deserve the credit. A must visit Hotel.

P.s Their welcome drink is truly one of a kind.

Nice and cozy, one of the best resort on island

The hotel is nice and tiny. We stay there for 4 nights. Overall are good, except the communication is a concern, the tour desk reception was barely understand english which caused wrong trip arrangement for us. Since the island is still under developing and not much activities, instead we were more enjoyed leisure time at hotel. But the SPA was not as good as we expected. The lady was using a very disgusting and rough sponge to clear my face, it hurt my face, and the facial product is not worth to buy. I was freak out to not going there for rest of my trip (though I was planning to attempt differ treatment, but I gave up).

Beside of above, I will highly recommend to arrange a fine dining at hotel, all F&B are perfect and valuable. B/F are perfect.

Very nice hotel, lovely food

We love almost everything about La Veranda. We were surprised by its small size, but that didn't affect much. The food is absolutely nice. The best breakfast buffet we ever had in all the 5 star resorts we have tried in Vietnam. The only thing that didn't work so well for us is how non-children friendly this place is. Whrnever our toddler needs a diaper change, we had to go back to our room todo that. Oncemy husband wanted to throw something away, and apparently the male bathroom only had a basket for dirty hand towels, so it was qute inconvenient. But all that was minor compared to our positive experience at La Veranda. We definitelyhope to come back once our kid grew up a little.

Close to Perfect!

My wife and I came here for 6 nights and it was splendid. The staff was incredibly hospitable and went well out of the way to add some great touches (roses, wine, candles) to our room as it was an anniversary celebration for us. The grounds of the hotel were the nicest we saw on the island and we enjoyed a nice dip in the pool and ocean a few times per day. A few other points...the staff do a good job of keeping the beach clean and some other places do not, Rory's is a good bar next door that does 1/2 priced mojitos for happy hour and reasonably priced food/drinks, we had read some comments that the pool was small and we didn't find this to be the case, the surrounding area is what you'd expect on an island that is developing its tourism infrastructure in that there are lot's of mom/pop shops and restaurants, the cab ride to our dinner usually ran 35k VND ($1.75 USD each way) so very reasonable, Long Beach is nice but not the sort of postcard tropical beach like Sao or Dai, we enjoyed the access to the ping pong table and board games that were in the verandah/lounge area overlooking the ocean....great way to spend some time when it was raining...there weren't many downsides to this hotel and I'd definitely recommend it to friends/family.
