I enjoyed four nights in a bungalow on the front line of Kae Bae beach. The accommodation was very comfortable and it was such a pleasure to look directly out to the beach and water from the front door. And there was a lovely porch there to sit on and enjoy the scenery. In addition, the entire staff was very friendly and helpful. The town area is just a 6-7 minute walk away, but a concierge was available to take me in a cart. Lots of dining and massage options in the town area. Overall, I had a great stay and will hope to return one day…

We took a beach villa, stunning views and at high tide about 10m from the sea, it was disappointing to have beach goers meters from our villa from 8am making noise and taking our privacy away but the beach, the view and the staff made up for it and we enjoyed our stay

5 Star Hotel at 3 Star Price

While this hotel lacks the finer details of a 5* hotel, namely slippers, pens, iron or international tv, it is 5* in its own right! We booked a room on the beach front and waking up to the sea every morning was idilic. The room was modern, clean and comfortable. The breakfast while small in selection was of good quality and sufficient. The bar/restaurant had a good menu and reasonably priced, it was wonderful at sunset. The staff were helpful and courteous. The beach is small and sandy and the nearby town is small, but there is a good selection of restaurants, bars and massage parlors. If you want a peaceful and relaxing holiday then you won’t be disappointed.

Great find for a seasoned Koh chang traveller

Almost everything about our stay was perfect. The beach is fabulous, staff excellent, pool was fun with the slippery dip and the room was impressive.

My only down side is the wifi. It is real bad. Very poor throughput which they really need to fix (it has nothing to do with signal which was very good).

Nice beachside hotel. Worthy a try

A good hotel in general, though the bathroom is slightly old. But the view from the 2 nd floor of the beachside hotel is wonderful. The bed is comfortable too. Room is a bit small but it is ok. U would spend most of your day outside rather than staying there. Would recommend it for anyone who wishes to stay away from the crowd and have some quite time with their loved One.

Quiet, Comfortable, Well-priced

The Kai Bae Beach Resort is a mix of nice older cabins and new 'hotel room' units. It fronts on a well-tended beach. Another several-story building is almost complete. Noises from the island's main road don't intrude. Sundowns are outstanding. There's a nice but heavily chlorinated pool. We had no serious problems with bugs or other critters. The bed and wi-fi were both excellent in our unit. The bathroom, otherwise very nice, has only one dim ceiling light. Management should add a light over the sink that's suitable for daily grooming.

During our stay, no one on the resort staff was reasonably fluent in English. Guests are not asked for feedback, either written or oral.

Breakfast offerings at the hotel's restaurant are ample but undistinguished. We had lunch there once, and decided that for ambiance and taste, we preferred the restaurant at the adjacent, only slightly more expensive K.B. Resort.

Great place in a great location. Stayed five nights. Quiet for the most part. Decent breakfast. Ate lunches and dinners in town, so can't speak of restaurant other than breakfast. Nice pool. Great sunsets. Never had any problems with wifi. Would return and would definitely recommend to friends and family.

I initially booked 2 nights here planning to find somewhere nearby the was cheaper but I decided that I would stay here for the remaining 8 days. The room is very clean and cleaned every day with new towels by very friendly staff. The buffet breakfast is extensive and I make the mosts of it and skip lunch. Reception very helpful.

Lovely hotel and fab restaurant beside the beach

Enjoyed staying at this hotel in the new hotel building. Loved sitting on the pod chair on the balcony looking out to sea! Be aware some views from hotel building might be limited with restaurant and other beachside villas in front but I had a good view from top floor. Was happy with the breakfast, restaurant is delightful, right beside the beach so great views. Had dinner here too which was very nice. Beach is quite small at high tide but hotel is set at the nicest part, and on the nicest beach of 3 different ones I visited on the island. Good spot, quiet location, not too far to walk into the village of Kai Bae. They were doing some building at the time, right on the beachfront, not sure exactly what but it meant there was some construction noise. It didn't really bother me but might be an issue for some of the bungalow villas right now.

Worst hotel on Koh Chang!

Despite booking for a 6 year old, when we arrived at the hotel, they claimed that the pre-paid booking was only for 2 adults. Charged us an additional 250 Baht ($8.00 U.S.)/night for him. Claimed it was for the extra water use of the shower (we brought our own bed pad and bedding)and wouldn't even provide an extra towel. It did include a breakfast buffet that has probably been the worst we've experienced in Thailand! Room was supposed to have a 'sea view' - was actually a 'peek a boo' view through the rather unattractive pool and restaurant area. Room was newer but bed hard as a rock. No hot water at the bathroom sink so had to shave with cold water. For $75 U.S./night, it was very poor value. Staff, particularly the receptionist who greeted us was very unfriendly and unhelpful.

We stayed in a room that opened out at the back onto a small terrace which was right on Kai Bai beech. The resort seems to be recently built and everything is very clean and new.
The prices are very reasonable and I would class it as more of a 4 star resort than the specified 3! Generally very happy with everything about this place. The sunsets and baby elephants which are brought to the beach to bath are fantastic.

Not worth the amount we paid for the hotel. It was a Lovely beach and had a nice atmosphere. Mosquitos, cockroaches, and lizards in the room. Which isn't the hotels fault but there were No lights to walk around at night time which was a bit dangerous with the uneven floors and stray dogs. The hotel staff were nice but quite unhelpful and the included breakfast wasn't worth getting out of bed for. The bungalows were nice and the bathroom was good with a hot shower but the one we stayed in was near a water outlet which may be the reason for mosquitos. Nice place on the beach but overpriced in Thai standards

Wir hatten ein Bungalow mit traumhaftem Meerblick und einer Dachterrasse – einfach wunderschön! Alles war sauber und ruhig, und das sanfte Rauschen des Meeres war oft zu hören.

Ein kleiner Verbesserungsvorschlag wären blickdichte, lichtdurchlässige Vorhänge, um mehr Privatsphäre zu bieten, ohne die dicken Vorhänge komplett schließen zu müssen. Das würde den Aufenthalt noch perfekter machen!

Direkte Strandlage mit schöner Aussicht

Meillä oli Front Beach Bungalow F11 näköala oli hieno ja omalta terassilta oli mukava katsella auringonlaskua. Pieni miinus oli että muita ihmisiä tuli suoraan bungalowin eteen ottamaan aurinkoa mutta muuten huippu paikka. Tulemme varmasti uudestaan samaan paikkaan.

Jeg var godt fornøyd da jeg bodde her for to år siden og fikk lyst til å komme tilbake. Dessverre har det nå blitt mye gjennomgangstrafikk av biler og motorsykler til det nye hotellet som har kommet ved siden av. Det ødelegger en del av gleden ved å oppholde seg på den store fine balkongen. Når det gjelder trafikken til dette hotellet, har mange en tendens til å la bilen stå på tomgang, slik at det oppstår en konstant dur av bilmotorer det meste av dagen. Ellers har jeg bare positivt å si om dette hotellet.

Not that nice

A very crowded hotel with an average breakfast. Warm milk and dry bread.
The beach has rocks and the water is not clear.
The beach in front of the bungalows are crowded and you feel like you live in a fishtank.
The biggest problem is the staff - they look like they are tired of tourists and dont smile easily. You dont feel very welcome at this place and thats a shame.
No scooter rent at the resort but at the mainstreet you can rent one very easy.

Kommer gärna tillbaka!

Fantastiska dagar på detta hotellet! Kan bae Beach ligger lite ifrån ”centrum” men hade fortfarande bra restauranger, affärer och massage i närheten. Mycket god och stort utbud av frukost. Receptionen pratar skapligt bra engelska och hjälper gärna till med att boka taxi eller olika nöjen. Det bästa var att stranden låg endast 10m från vårat rum. Det sämsta var de hårda sängarna.

Vi bodde i en garden villa i 2 nätter. Första intrycket var ingen höjdare då det för det första inte fanns någon skylt vid infarten och sen fick man leta efter incheckningen. Personalen var inte speciellt sugna på att jobba heller utan pillade hellre på mobilen. Det fanns inga skyltar till rummen heller så man yrade omkring i början innan man lärde sig vägen. Frukosten var ok med det man kan förvänta sig av ett 3 stjärnigt hotell. Safety boxen strulade 2 gånger så man fick hämta personalen för att låsa upp den igen. Poolområdet var i minsta laget och inga solsängar på stranden, dock fick man kvittera ut strandhanddukar vilket var ett plus. Gångavstånd till restauranger och 7-eleven. Dock inga restauranger på stranden mer än hotellets egna.

Elephants on the beach - every day.

Super ressort for the price. The staff will literally bend over backwards to accomodate you. Whilst not overly luxurious, the room we had on the third floor was very nice, spacious and comfortable. This is a resort which also caters to families, and the pool area can be a little \"lively\" at times, but then the beach is literally only meters away. Throughout our stay, young elephants from the local \"school\" came to the resort beach several times daily, where they would swim with the tourists.. Good fun to watch and again, great for kids. The breakfast buffet was ample and kept well stocked throughout. A few minutes walk up to the throughgoing street, and you'll find plenty of shopping (local goods) and also a number of good eats to choose from.
A super holiday at a good location.. If we go back to Koh Chang, this is where we will stay.

Belle vue si vous êtes au bon emplacement .
Chambre qui mérite d’être rénovée et équipée mauvais éclairage dans la salle de douche, dans la chambre , une seule lampe de chevet archaïque . Pas de moustiquaire sur les baies vitrées , vous ne pouvez arrêtez la climatisation et ouvrir les fenêtre la nuit compte tenu des moustiques .

Un point très important dans l’hôtel tout les services bar et restaurant ferme à 19h et à 20h plus de réception tout est fermé .
Si vous avez un problème de clefs ou autre plus grave un départ en urgence impossible ????
Le petit déjeuner est très bien, la plage est bien , mais des complexe hôtelier voisins sont en cours de construction , et l’hôtel n’est pas une propriété privée ce qui fait que tout les extérieurs ont la possibilité très aisée de venir dans le périmètre de l’hôtel et envahissent la plage agréable du secteur . Ce qui fait qu’à terme cet endroit va être surpeuplé comme pendant mon séjour.

Een paradijs die toch geen paradijs is.

Over het algemeen een overprijsde verblijf. Eenvoudige dingen ontbraken bv handoeken haken in badkamer enz. Wifi was ronduit slecht die valt telkens weg.ontbijt is ook niet geweldig tenzij je van koude wafels houdt en warme ham op je boterham. Wel mooi gelegen aan strand en nabij winkels ed.maar minder dan white sandbeach waar wat meer te doen is.

Es ist einfach traumhaft. Es war rund um sehr gut. Ruhige lage direkt am Strand. Die Zimmer wie neu , sehr sauber und gepflegt (lediglich die Plastikstühle und der Tisch auf der Terrasse/Balkon waren in keinem guten Zustand, aber das fällt nicht ins Gewicht. Das Personal sehr freundlich und mehrsprachig. Es gab kostenlose Stellplätze für Roller.
Das Frühstück war ok - thai und continental. Garküchen und Restaurants mit Frühstücksangebot gibts auch außerhalb des Hotels und unweiter Entfernung.

Preis-Leistung ist top. Absolut weiter empfehlenswert.

Över förväntan är den enkla recensionen. Trevlig personal, bra rent rum i egen liten hydda/hus med AC. Så lugnt och tyst med andra ord. Verkar vara nyligen renoverat då receptionen ser helt ny ut. Allt är snyggt, dagligt underhåll på allt runt omkring. Resorten ligger i stort sett direkt på stranden. Alternativt så finns pool med vattenrutschbana. Fem minuters promenad upp till gatan med all shopping och restauranger. För det priset jag fick så är det mer än prisvärt. Skulle inte ha några problem att komma tillbaka hit. Restaurangen på resorten är helt okej, nyttjade den inte så mycket.

Prima hotel met ruime kamers. Ontbijt zit bij de prijs in en is vrij uitgebreid. Rustig op het resort. Zwembad is overdag wel wat vol met zwemmende kinderen maar hotel ligt direct aan het strand waar je zelf prima een rustig plekje op kan zoeken.
Resort ernaast is nog in aanbouw maar dit heeft tijdens mijn verblijf eigenlijk geen hinder opgeleverd. Ja overdag op het strand hoor je af en toe dat er nog gebouwd wordt een er rijdt wel eens een vrachtwagen langs. Prima te doen.
