This hotel is 5-7 minutes away from Europe Park that is the only advantage. They check inn lady was not nice or welcoming. Trying to get me to pay and provide my Credit Card - all good but welcome me first!!
They want you to pay for parking for no reason! It should be included in the high price - They have a big parking area Infront of the hotel, they just added a sign and a gate to charge. The rooms are small, and they don't clean them unless you ask them to do so.
We got a room that the toilet was dirty!! They did replace it but we never got such in other HIG . The room has NO Refrigerator - no ice to get only in the bar -and they try to charge you for everything,
The table in room is very small and the Wifi was a little slow. Breakfast was fine had everything and more
The hotel is not in the standards of Holiday INN express we slept all over Europe and the USA.
They should upgrade the rooms and showers and provide a refrigerate in the room.

The place is great except the paid parking. The place is almost innthe middle of nowhere and they charge for parking. I am ok to pay for parking but it should be in the description of the property . The Musli Bircher dish was VERY VERY GOOD, I regret of not asking for their recipe.

Wonderful Stay with Exceptional Service!

We had a great experience at the Holiday Inn, especially thanks to the amazing customer service. A big shoutout to Ms. Louis—she was incredibly patient, kind, and understanding throughout our stay.

Initially, we booked one room for two adults and our two teenagers, which came with one double bed and a sofa bed. The only issue? Our teens—a boy and a girl—don’t always get along (typical sibling stuff!), and one of them even volunteered to sleep on the floor to avoid conflict. When we mentioned this to Ms. Louis, she immediately looked into a solution for us.

Despite it being a busy Saturday near Europa Park, she worked her magic and found us two rooms across from each other, each with twin beds for the kids. It only cost a little extra, and it was absolutely worth it. Her effort truly made a difference in our stay!

The rooms were a good size, very clean, and the beds and pillows were super comfortable. The hotel overall was well-maintained and welcoming.

As for a couple of suggestions: the AC could be stronger—it was a bit weak, though we still slept comfortably. Also, having a mini-fridge and a microwave in the room would be a nice touch, especially for late-night snackers like us.

That said, we had no complaints at all. Thank you, Holiday Inn—we’ll definitely be back!

Friendly and helpful staff, early check-in (not guaranteed, of course), and a really good breakfast, including excellent ham, decent coffee, and some of the best scrambled eggs I've ever had in a hotel.
My only gripe is an €8/day car parking fee, which I either didn't notice on Hotels.com, or wasn't listed there.

Stayed for 5 nights while at Europa Park. Lovely clean hotel, usually stay in Premier Inn in UK when at theme parks and this was so much better. Breakfast was lovely, restocked constantly, clean hotel. They don’t clean your room every day but you can get towels etc from reception or housekeeping. They even decorated a table for my son’s birthday. Would definitely stay again.

Our stay was comfortable and we found the rooms to be very modern and clean. Breakfast is just OK and a bit repetitive after 3 days. The staff are friendly and the location is super close to Europa Park which is what we needed. Food options are limited but if you drive to neighbouring towns there are decent restaurant choices.

The major negative for me is not having daily maid service. I do understand the environmental benefit, but after 3 days we really needed fresh towels. You have to ask reception for them but reception were happy to oblige.

Good value and good sleep.

Pros - Good size room, comfortable bed and good shower. All clean and tea/coffee facilities. Easy access to local roads.
Friendly staff and helpful with gluten free rolls at breakfast.
Cons -
Had booked sofa bed too but had to make it myself, shame not a hot breakfast and extra cost to park. Air con also didn’t work.

Europa park and Rulantica

We stayed for 3 nights with our 12-year-old son. We went to Europa Park and Rulantica. The hotel is new, very nice. The breakfast is typical American. The only downside is the room is a bit small for three. Would definitely stay again.

Clean, modern and pleasant

Hotel is very modern and spotlessly clean, no problem with the room or service. Indeed the reception staff deserve special mention because they did their best helping us translate phone calls etc when our car broke down.
The location of the hotel means there isn’t much within walking distance for eating etc but there is a bus stop outside and very easy access to the road network.
Europa park is a 5 min drive, Switzerland border is 1 hr away.

Nice, new, clean, great service hotel

Used as a one night stop over. Appreciated the 24 hour check in as we arrived very late and it can sometimes be hard to find hotels in Europe with a 24 hour front desk. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. Room was larger than expected, air conditioned (A previous reviewer said it was not, but I’m guessing they aren’t familiar with the fact that you must turn the AC on in the room yourself in Europe. They don’t leave it on.), and the breakfast was a very nice spread with all the typical German breakfast items (soft boiled eggs, cold meats & cheeses, cucumber, tomato, fruit, yogurt, granola, cereal, pancakes, assorted breads, juices, espresso machine, etc.). Would absolutely stay at this hotel again and would recommend.

Très bon accueil, la chambre très propre et spacieuse. L’hôtel se situe à côté d’une pizzeria très pratique pour se restaurer le soir. Le petit-déjeuner était varié et de très bonne qualité! J’y retournerai les yeux fermés

Das Personal war überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstücksbuffet war umfangreich. Es wurde sehr aufmerksam nachgelegt..Generell herrschte im gesamten Haus ein sehr freundlicher Umgang mit den Gästen. Die Parksituation ist bestens geregelt zu einem sehr f an ihren Preis. Insgesamt alles sehr empfehlenswert.

Tolles Hotel zu einem angemessenen Preis (trotz Parkgebühren) angesichts der Nähe zum Europapark. Außerordentlich freundlicher Service (Carmen) und ein völlig ausreichendes Frühstücksangebot. Wir würden jedes Mal wieder hier buchen und dieses Hotel wärmstens weiterempfehlen.

Frühstück nicht mehr ganz so üppig. Parkplätze NICHT mehr kostenlos was echt gar nicht geht ! ( 8 € pro Tag ) Schimmel in den Fugen der Dusche 👎 das geht besser. Man merkt dass kräftig gespart wird. Säuberung der Zimmer nicht mehr täglich und Handtücher werden nur auf Nachfrage bei der Rezeption getauscht.
Nachdem es so viele Hotels rund um den Europa Park gibt, denke ich dass wir das nächste mal ein anders auswählen werden.

Es war alles sehr gut
Frühstücksbuffet war super, es gab für jeden Geschmack etwas und auch Qualitativ hochwertige Auswahl.
Unser Zimmer war sehr sauber und ausreichend, wenn man nur zum schlafen da ist. Kleines manko: im Badezimmer fehlen leider ein paar Haken und man kann leider das Fenster nur kippen.

Super Wahl für den Europapark.
Das Hotel ist sehr gut gedämmt, sowohl nach außen als auch innen zu den umliegenden Zimmern. Auch nachts keine störenden Lüftungsgeräusche hörbar, wie das öfters mal so der Fall ist in Hotel. Es ist wirklich ein guter Schlaf in Ruhe möglich.
Sehr bequeme Betten und gute Auswahl beim Frühstück.
