This is a hotel with great potential. Sadly, it's not being utilised. A large pool onsite, apparently also sauna and steam room, but could not find them, a Fitness centre, too, but not included in your stay.

The staff did their best to welcome us. But when we arrived for the check in they didn’t have the room ready. We had to wait. Once I got my room. I left my backpack in the room to get my luggage. Once I came back I found that one of the staff took my back pack. Opened it to put my water bottles inside and left it half open. They gave me wrong room and placed me to another room. Then the room was super dirty. I complained. They said they will clean tomorrow but it was same. Room is super hot. Really had a bad time in that property. The woman at the reception was kind and felt sorry. But yet I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone

A strange hotel, as it is part of a leisure complex. The building on the outside looks tired, but inside everything was clean and tidy. The breakfast was good and the price paid was excellent.
The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful and spoke good English. We were too tired to use the facilities but they were there if we has wanted to use them.

Hotel basic but good. Pool and sports hall facilities excellent for familes, especially if visiting nearby Europa Park. Breakfast good, but restaurant and bar openings erratic.

Good hotel for the money
After reading some reviews from the summer I wasn't holding up much hope. However, I was pleasantly surprised. It's slightly confusing on arrival maps says it's on your right. As you come over the bridge it is on the right but you need to turn left to go under the bridge to get to the carpark.
Check in was easy and the lady was very friendly.
The hotel is quirky as it's a sports centre too. Some corridors are quite dark. We booked for the pool and it looked lovely unfortunately our kids weren't well do we didn't use it.
The main entrance shuts at 10 so I would use the other entrance when leaving so you know how to get back in. Also, you can check in after ten but you need to prearrange this so you have a lock box number.
The room for 4 was spacious and clean. It was unusually hot the night we stayed so the room was very hot. There were two fans and the window opens completely.
Breakfast was as you would expect for Europe. Bread, eggs, fruit etc. it was perfectly fine.
There's a McDonald's and burger king and petrol station. Lidl 5 mins drive away in herbolzhiem. Kids wanted macds. So we didn't try the restaurant.
I would stay here again and hopefully use the pool.

Breakfast was very lacking, couple of bread roll lefts and a bit of cheese. Dead spiders and flies everywhere in the breakfast room.

problem with hotel entrance closure On arrival was informed front door closes at 10pm and one has to use the back door entrance with room key, What is not said or fully told is their are TWO rear doors one for rooms 31 upwards and for rooms 1to 29 they do not fully explain this and my wife myself and our great grandson aged 8 found ourselves locked out at 8PM ON SUNDAY night, and we could only find 1 rear door WHICH DID NOT GIVE US ACCESS TO OUR ROOM, no worriestheir is a phone number on the receipt NO THIS NUMBER NO LONGER IN USE try number on front door THIS NUMBER NOT AVAILABLE EVEN AFTER !10 MINUTES OF REDIALLING, If it had not been someone hearing my wife shouting for help we probably would have had to spend the night in our car, PLEASE PROVIDE A FLOOR PLAN SHOWING WHERE ACCESS IS it is not rocket science.

Pas de personnel à notre arrivée. Une fois dans la chambre, la salle de bain n’était pas nettoyée : cheveux dans la douche, moisissure dans les joints, toilettes sales.
Un nettoyage a été fait entre nos deux nuits (draps, serviettes) mais la douche n’a toujours pas été nettoyée.
Le petit déjeuner inclus dans la chambre était convenable mais certains fruits n’étaient pas frais.

Sehr nettes Personal welches auch für Ausflugstipps mit Empfehlungen (Parkplatz/Abreise mit zum Zug) hilfreiche Tipps gibt. Aufgrund von Heizungs-/Warmwasserproblemen im Zimmer wurde mir ohne dass ich es ansprechen musste ein Zimmerwechsel auch außerhalb der Rezeptionszeiten angeboten und der Weg in die andere Gebäudehälfte erklärt.

Das Zimmer war ganz okey die Matratzen sollte man mal auswechseln da man kaum darauf liegen kann ohne dass man die Federung spührt. Ansonsten war es i.o für den Preis waren wir zufrieden.

L'emplacement de l'hôtel est au calme, c'est un hotel avec piscine et spa. Par contre le spa on doit être dans vêtement.

Lorsque nous avons appris que le Check-in se faisait jusqu’à 21:00 alors que notre arrivée était estimée à 22:00 nous avons appelé l’hôtel. Nous avons eu une réponse au bout du 8ème appel. Lors de l’appel, on nous a informé qu’on allait recevoir un e-mail. Une heure plus tard n’ayant toujours pas reçu d’e-mail, nous avons essayé de rappeler l’hôtel. Encore une fois, nous avons pu communiquer avec le personnel après une dizaine d’appels. Mais cet appel fut un échec, car on nous a raccroché au nez. Heureusement, nous avons reçu un e-mail deux heures après. Les explications était très peu clair et ce n’est pas très agréable de devoir parcourir l’hôtel pour atteindre notre chambre dans le noir. La chambre était sale! Des boules de cheveux se trouvait dans la salle de bain qui d’ailleurs ne pouvait pas se fermer car la poignée était cassé. Le lendemain, nous nous sommes rendu au petit déjeuner qui était entre guillemets correct. Suite à ça, nous nous somme rendu à la réception, heureusement que nous n’avions pas d’urgence pour partir car nous sommes restés 20 minutes à l’attente que quelqu’un arrive, malgré la sonnette. Nous avons compris que cette attente était dû au fait que la réceptionniste était seule à s’occuper de l’entièreté de l’hôtel.

Ich habe hier eine Nacht verbracht und kann mich den negativen Bewertungen leider nur anschließen. Die Matratze war extrem hart und völlig durchgelegen – richtig unbequem. Das Zimmer selbst war in einem sehr unsauberen Zustand: der braune Parkettboden war voller Staub und Haare, in jeder Ecke deutlich sichtbar. Offenbar wurde hier schon seit Monaten weder richtig gesaugt noch gewischt. Wenn man barfuß durchs Zimmer läuft, hat man sofort staubige Fußsohlen – wirklich unangenehm.
Auch die gesamte Anlage wirkte etwas chaotisch: das Gebäude erinnert eher an eine alte Sporthalle mit eingebauten Zimmern. Der Check-in-Prozess war unübersichtlich – bei jedem Gast lief es irgendwie anders, mal Schlüssel, mal Chipkarte, verschiedene Eingänge, komplizierte Erklärungen. Da verliert man schnell den Überblick.
Der Pool war kalt und wenig einladend.
Einziger Lichtblick: das Frühstück. Für den Preis (65 € pro Nacht) war die Auswahl völlig in Ordnung, da kann man wirklich nicht meckern.

Auch die gesamte Anlage wirkte etwas chaotisch: das Gebäude erinnert eher an eine alte Sporthalle mit eingebauten Zimmern. Der Check-in-Prozess war unübersichtlich – bei jedem Gast lief es irgendwie anders, mal Schlüssel, mal Chipkarte, verschiedene Eingänge, komplizierte Erklärungen. Da verliert man schnell den Überblick.
Der Pool war kalt und wenig einladend.
Einziger Lichtblick: das Frühstück. Für den Preis (65 € pro Nacht) war die Auswahl völlig in Ordnung, da kann man wirklich nicht meckern.

Sauberkeit mangelhaft da Blut am Boden, Toilette dreckig (selbst geputzt), Schimmel in der Dusche und das Wasser ist nicht abgelaufen, Fernbedienung war nicht vorhanden, Telefon nicht angeschlossen und an der Rezeption nachgefragt und sollte uns gebracht werden, wurde aber nie gebracht.

Mon ami avait reçu des instructions pour son arrivée. De mon côté, je n'ai absolument rien reçu donc heureusement qu'il les avaient sinon impossible de récupérer les cartes de chambre.

Les volets d'une des chambres ne s'ouvraient pas, les fenêtres s'ouvraient en tirant simplement dessus sans déverrouiller la poignée.
Les ventilateurs mis à disposition sont pleins de poussière.
La télé ne fonctionnait pas.

Das Zimmer war an sich sauber, doch das Bad vor allem der Boden der Dusche war schmutzig und in den Ecken des Bades befanden sich Kalkablagerungen - die mit einem entsprechenden Reiniger und regelmäßiger Anwendung vermeidbar wären. Da wir in Rulantica nach dem Baden geduscht haben, nutzten wir die Dusche nicht - daher war uns das ganze völlig ausreichend und ich hab das Bad auch nicht reklamiert.

Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt im Sporthotel. Das Hotel ist sicher etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber es wurde und wird noch einiges renoviert. Die Daumen von der Rezeption waren äußerst freundlich, das Frühstück war sehr lecker und der Pool sehr groß und sauber. Tolles Preis- Leistungsverhältnis!

It was one of the cheaper hotels around so didn't expect much, I wish it was a little cheaper for what you get. The room had zero ventilation and the shower was so stupidly design that the whole bathroom flooded.

Das Hotel war sicher mal eine tolle Unterkunft. Leider ist in den letzten Jahren nicht wirklich was gemacht worden. Die Sauberkeit und der Zustand der Zimmer könnte verbessert werden. Im Zimmer unseres Sohne war eine ca 3cm große Jagdspinne zu Hause. Unter den Betten wird scheinbar nie geputzt. Die Schiebetüren zu den Bädern waren teilweise defekt. Die Sages waren verschlossen / defekt. Eine Klimaanlage gibt es nicht.
Das im Hotel befindliche Fitnessstudio kostet 9€ pro Tag extra, der Billardtisch war defekt und um die Padles Plätze im Keller zu nutzen müssen Schläger gemietet werden. Das Schwimmbad im Keller hat leider keine Umkleiden und das Wasser ist recht kalt. Die Sauna war ganz schön und auch sauber.
Das Restaurant hat derzeit leider nur Montag und Dienstag geöffnet, eine Möglichkeit wenigsten Getränke zu kaufen gibt es leider nicht.

Die Zimmer waren sauber und praktisch eingerichtet. Das Hotel ist ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen und liegt im Industriegebiet von Kenzingen. Frühstück ist okay. Zum Essen sind wir abends nach Herbolzheim gefahren. Das ist sehr empfehlenswert. Im Hotel selber gibt es ein Bistro, das abends geschlossen ist. Leider auch keinen Kühlschrank, aus dem man Getränke entnehmen kann, wenn man abends etwas Trinken möchte. Für unsere Zwecke, Besuch von Rulantica und Europapark war es okay.

Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen. Wer auf kein Komfort wert legt, ist hier genau richtig. Die Zimmer heitzen sich sehr schnell auf, bei hohen außen Temperaturen. Da währe es schön am Abend mal richtig zu Lüften. Währen da nicht die defekten Fenster, die man nur auf kipp stellen kann. Aber der Hotelbeteiber hat vorsorglich 2 Lüfter im Zimmer hinterlassen. Diese Lüfter waren so mit Staub benetzt, das sie erst gereinigt werden musten. Die Toilettenspülung funtionierte nicht. Gaugummi lag unterm Bett. Die Zimmertür weist einen großen Spalt auf zum Flur. Das Frühstück ist vom Discounter. Kaffeemaschine war stark verschmutzt usw..Ich könnte noch Stundenlang Schreiben. Ich hoffe Bilder sagen mehr, als 1000 Worte.

Frühstücksbüffet 30Min vor Ende recht leer, die freien Tische wurden nicht abgeräumt, wir mussten den Tisch selbst abräumen und drum bitten, dass sauber gemacht wird, Stuhl hatte 1 defektes Bein, ich flog fast runter, Kaffemaschine schmuddelig/ungereinigt und total verspritzt, WC-Papier am Morgen alle beim öffentlichen Klo beim Speissaal, Brötchen fertig um 9.00, keine Info, dass erst welche gebacken werden müssen.
In der Nacht Nachteingang hinter dem Hotel im Dunkeln kaum zu finden, nicht beleuchtet.

Nous sommes arrivés à 16 h… mais visiblement, nous étions les seuls. Pas une âme à l’horizon, et impossible de joindre qui que ce soit. Après une bonne demi-heure d’attente, miracle une personne arrive ! Si vous rentrez. Passé 20 h, surprise ! L’arrivée se fait par une porte dérobée à l’arrière — un vrai jeu de piste, sans les indices.
Deux nuits sur place, et aucun service: pas de ménage, les serviettes sont restées humides et inchangées, et le distributeur de savon… lui aussi a pris des vacances.
Mention spéciale au monsieur du petit déjeuner, qui semble avoir égaré son sourire quelque part entre la cuisine et la salle. Accueil glacial garanti !

Suite à une journée passée a Europa Park, nous nous sommes rendu dans cet hôtel pour y passer la nuit dans une chambre a 4.
Nous avons bien dormi, la literie était confortable.
Le petit déjeuner était bien.
Juste un petit défaut de ménage : 1 bouteille d'eau restait dans la chambre et le ménage non fait sous les lits.
De même, la ventilation de la salle est bruyante mais s'arrête automatiquement au bout d'un temps lorsque l'éclairage de la salle de bain est coupé.
Nous avons bien dormi, la literie était confortable.
Le petit déjeuner était bien.

Bis spät Abend wir Tennis gespielt, was man je nach Zimmer hört.
Es ist nicht sicher ob ein Koch am Abend im Restaurant kocht, wenn das nicht der fall ist muss mann ins Dorf gehen um dort essen zu können.

Sporthotel als Unterkunft für Europapark
Wir sind im Sporthotel gewesen, da es ein Schwimmbad hat indoor und ein gutes Frühstück.
Es hat uns auch als Stützpunkt gedient um zweimal in den Europapark zu gehen. Im Dorf selber kann man gut essen und das Nachbardort hatte einen riesigen Anlass, wo alle ihre Velos verkaufen konnten mit einer Band auf dem Hauptplatz.

Es war wieder ein schöner Aufenthalt für meinen Sohn und mir. Ein besonderes Lob gilt dem neuen Teammitglied Dillon an der Rezeption für seine souveräne Art und Freundlichkeit. Mit dem Zimmer und den Betten waren wir sehr zufrieden, alles war sauber und wir haben gut geschlafen. Der sehr niedrige Wasserdruck in der Dusche machte das Duschen fast unmöglich. Ansonsten war auch das Badezimmer für uns völlig okay.

Es ist eigentlich ein Sportcenter (viel Durchgangsverkehr) mit ein paar Zimmern, unseres war im Keller. Steckdosen und Kabel hängen lose rum, riesige Spinnen im Zimmer, Türe wackelt bei jedem Luftzug wie wenn jemand daran rüttelt. Bad war gut. Hallenbad okey, Sauna naja - Ruheliegen im Durchgang der Saunen direkt gegenüber der Duschen. Weg zum Zimmer lang und trostlos. Frühstück war gut für den Preis.
