Our two nights in Marrakech was highlighted by this Riad! Lovely, beautiful and quiet with birds flying inside the riad. The owners were some of the best hosts we’ve met in Morocco with their genuine hospitality! They’re just very nice people! Did I mention their wonderfully made breakfast? This is a very beautiful property in a good location within the Medina. The walk to the main square is reasonably straight forward. The breakfast is good. However we had some significant issues. We had a very beautiful room but the air conditioning was not working. This was important because it was extremely hot outside. We were there for three days and complained every day but the ac was not repaired. The owner came to our room and checked it and said it would be fixed but nothing happened. We knew it wasn't working because our daughter had a room on her own that was very cool. The other problem was our arrival. We were driving and needed to park outside the walled city. We were told someone would meet us at the wall entrance and tell us where to park and where to go. We were not warned that there were hustlers who would try and get us to go elsewhere and drive into the Riad and demand money from us. There was quite a bit of ugliness involved with this. Later on, someone came to pick us up for a food tour and it turned out he was a hustler too who had overheard a phone call. He supposedly took us to the car and then demanded money--but he had nothing to do with the cooking class. The Riad staff should be checking and warning its guests about these people. Often the guy who was sitting at the desk was on his cell phone and didn't even notice who was coming and going.

Fatima was tremendously helpful and patient with us when our travel plans went awry after our luggage didn’t make it on to the plane.

I loved staying at this Riad with my husband. Fatima was a gem and her family was as well. She went out of her way to tell us where to go, how much to pay for things and when we told her we wanted spices and tea, her mother went and got them for us so that we wouldn’t get ripped off. Breakfast was great everyday and this Riad in Marrakech helped make the trip an even better one. I highly recommend this Riad.

Our first Riad experience and the best of all during our 2+ week visit to Morocco. A lovely family run Riad. The staff was so willing to help us in every way. It is beautiful and calm. Perfect in the craziness of the Medina. Delicious breakfasts every day. Each one different. A great place to stay

My friend and I stayed at this property for 5 nights (both females travelling) in September. The riad is in the old part of Marrakech which, in our opinion had more cons than pros. We would definitely suggest staying in a more popular/new area.
The riad entrance looks like a residential door and you can often knock for a very long time to gain entry back into the riad. As the area itself didn't feel particularly safe, they could most definitely work on this issue; especially during evening/night.
This is because we're not sure if this is an issue everywhere, but we found groups of men lingering outside shouting abuse and generally harassing us everyday.
The owner herself was very nice, helpful and hospitable. The room was clean however the ground floor room can get very humid despite the AC. Local amenities aren't great - as it's an old part of the city.

Riad Tamarrakecht is absolutely stunning! The royal suite is immaculately ornate, and Fatima is an angel! She made us feel like family and welcomed us with sweet drinks, treats and a thorough orientation of the city. She offered priceless advice and always responded to us with a smile and a friendly demeanour. We couldn’t have been more happy with our accommodation and would LOVE to return again!

The interior in here are out of this world. The pools with rose petals floating in the water, the terrace, and the rooms all show the amount of work and care the owners put into the riad. The owners themselves are wonderful people as well, trying to help with everything we ask them. In a place like Marrakech, it feels good to know that you can trust your riad for recommendations. They got up early to make us breakfast at 6:30AM since we needed to leave on a tour, they explained the map of the Medina to us over and over again, we just couldn’t ask anything more!

Exceptional hospitality from a wonderful family owned Riad. The attention paid to us and the welcoming nature of the owners was second to none. I would highly recommend a stay here for anyone visiting Morocco. Rooms were 1st class and a most scrumptious fresh totally home made breakfast every morning. Excellent!!

Riad Tamarrakecht was fantastic. The hotel is conveniently located close to one of the gates to the Medina, which made it easy to find. In addition to this, they actually sent a person to meet us at the gate and guide us to the Riad. Once we arrive, they provided us with a map of the Medina and with detailed information on how to navigate through it. This made our visit to the Medina much more enjoyable. Breakfast was good and the room was comfy and spacious. We recommend Riad Tamarrakecht to anyone who wants to visit Marrakesh.

This Riad is quite simply, wonderful! Run by the dearest family, who are all so helpful and kind. There is ample room to roam and lounge, and a very lovely pool and water features that soothe the weary soul. A true oasis in the midst of the chaos that is Marrakech. Each bedroom is decorated differently (stayed in two different rooms, by choice) and was impressed by both. Great beds, linens and towels, bath products, very spacious and very good a/c. What more could you ask for?! It was hard to leave...highly recommend this Riad for a brief or long stay...would return in a heartbeat!

Once inside this Riad it is beautiful, nicely furnished and spotlessly clean. The owners are superb, very pleasant and helpful. We had an early flight but the owner got up early to give us breakfast at 6.30am. Over and beyond the call of duty in my opinion and was much appreciated. We only spent the one night here, our last night in Morocco and would strongly recommend asking the Riad to arrange a taxi who will park near as possible and walk you to the door as we tried to find our own way and it was hard with locals trying to relieve you of your money to help or show you the way. It was a little unnerving as it was getting dusk and not another tourist in site. I am sure once you are settled in it is not a problem but hesitancy in Morocco is asking for unwanted attention. My only negative were the walls are a little thin, surprising as this Riad is a recent build. I found most Riad's have this problem but we just happened to have a noisy neighbour. No outside window may not suit everyone, there was a window looking to the pool area though. A good size room for a Riad. To conclude. owners, decor and cleanliness make this a good choice.

Authentic Moroccan tranquility

Loved the Riad. A very calm and relaxing atmosphere, you wouldn’t know you were in the middle of the Médina. The staff were delightful. Sara was especially helpful and caring. Felt very welcome. 15 minute walk to the Djemaa el Fna. A cultural walk to say the least, at the heart of Marrakech life. Would happily return.

Beautiful family operated Riad! About 15 mins walk to the main square. Very clean and nicely decorated rooms. Loved the pools with rose petals. Zahra and Fatima were very helpful, the warm hospitality of their family made us feel like home. We felt extremely safe inside the Riad.

Beautiful Hidden Gem with Medina

We stayed at this hotel, and was extremely happy with our stay. The hotel is located in a bustling area of the Medina and within walking distance to the Souks and other touristy areas. The alleyways where this hotel is located can be a bit uneasy for a tourist at first sight, but it was certainly no problem each of the times we walked alone throughout the neighborhoods to get into the Souks. The hotel itself is fantastic. We truly enjoyed our days staying here and all of the hotel staff were amazing to us. Spoke English fluently, and even offered insights to the best areas to visit during our stay in Morocco. The hotel includes complimentary breakfast, which was definitely a highlight to our stay as we could chose to sit either near the pool or on the rooftop terrace. Breakfast includes waitstaff so you truly get a restaurant feel while enjoying a Moroccan style breakfast. We will stay here again if we are ever in Morocco again.

Gorgeous property, very quiet amidst the chaos of the Medina. Super friendly and helpful staff. Mohktar was the best - provided outstanding advice and directions - including a custom hand drawn map - for an area where GPS is only 80% effective. Do be cautious with the overly “helpful” people in the Médina. Not dangerous, but aggressive to earn money

Gem in the heart of Medina

Gorgeous riad with a stunning interior. The staff were welcoming and very friendly, showing us directions for sights in Marrakech and providing us with tea upon arrival. The room was spacious and clean. There is also a rooftop terrace where you can relax and enjoy views. We were also able to have breakfast early in the morning upon request. Would definitely return again, highly recommended!

Beautiful Riad with amazing hosts

Really beautiful Riad in a nice location 10-15 minutes walk from the main souks and square.

Room was lovely and breakfast on the roof each morning was amazing, with some different treats and juices each day we were there.

The hosts were one of the main reasons Tamarrakect stood out, with the place being run by a family that made all the guests feel welcome and able to ask for help on anything.

They also had a super cute hotel puppy to play with, so 5* just for him

Beautiful Riad with welcoming and helpful hosts

This Riad absolutely lived up to expectations and the photographs. It was absolutely stunning. On arrival we received a different room than the one I had booked, but it definitely seemed to be an upgrade to the honeymoon suite, so this is not a complaint! By far the comfiest and biggest bed I have ever slept in, with very high quality pillows and bedding!

The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated, and the bathroom had a great shower, with proper, fluffy, full size towels!

Upon arrival the hosts greeted us with mint tea & cakes, and gave us a detailed map of the area, what to look out for, and traps to avoid being caught by.

Breakfast was provided, which was fresh, local, homemade and plentiful, and the hosts were on hand to help us with absolutely anything that we needed.

The only let down that I could mention was a mix-up with our transfer back to the airport for our early flight on the last morning. We had to be at the airport for 6am, and checked a couple of times (including on our last night) that it was still ok for us to get a transfer at 5.30am. But, when we came to leave the Riad we didn't see anyone waiting for us there, (or at the nearest \"Bab\" or city gate, and didn't pass anyone walking to meet us) - after waiting for around 15 minutes we decided in the end to take a taxi as we didn't want to risk being delayed by security at the airport.

This was the only inconvenience during our stay, which was otherwise fantastic! Definitely 9.5 out of 10!

I have to say that my experience at this Riad was my best memory of Marrakesh. An amazing and personalized service makes you feel at home in a cozy Moroccan paradise. Very beautiful and comfortable room. Great location in the old city just 10 min walk from main square and 5 min walk from one of the city gates to get the taxis. Very good breakfast every morning. Very clean and excellent service. Beautiful public areas. An unforgettable experience. Thank you !!!

Beautiful hotel in the north side of Old Medina

Walking in the narrow, crowded and often dirty streets of Medina from Bab Aylan, you would *never* think that a gem like this lies inside the walls.
The neighborhood: the hotel is not accessible by cab, so you have to take a taxi into Bab Aylen and ask someone to cart off your suitcase (the hotel can arrange this if you let them know in advance). The area is a little sketchy at night, compared to the southern part of Medina, but it also offers a bit more of an authentic feel as there were mostly locals dwelling in those parts. I loved the proximity to the Madrassa and the Marrakesh tanneries, and Jemaa Al Fnaa is about 15 mns on foot.
The hotel itself: is an amalgamation of two Riads that are absolutely gorgeous. They combine modernity and traditional Moroccan design and we most definitely enjoyed the complimentary tea on a few occasions, both inside the main hall and on the rooftop. The rooms vary in size and shape, but we loved how bright they looked (compared to other riads), how high the ceilings were, etc. The beds in this part of Morocco tend to be stiff and uncomfortable, the ones we had were decent.
The service was fantastic, and the breakfast very yummy.
I have a 4* for cleanliness because there was a small roach in the bathroom. No big deal, as Marrakesh is a pretty old and dirty city.

Wenig Verpflegungsmöglichkeiten in unmittelbarer Nähe, gibt aber auch Möglichkeiten im Hotel zu essen.

De receptie is ontzettend vriendelijk en erg behulpzaam. Ze spreken goed Engels en doen werkelijk alles om het voor je naar wens te maken.
De eerste dag hadden wij een vereerde kamer toegewezen. Als excuus kregen we de rest van de week de mooiste kamers die de riad te bieden had. Het ontbijt is erg vers en uitgebreid. Locatie perfect, binnen 15 minuten lopen op het grote plein.

Informationen/Kontaktaufnahme vor der Anreise durch das Hotel. Sehr herzlicher Empfang mit Tee nach schwieriger Anreise. Intensive Betreuung mit Stadtkarte und Tipps zum Sightseeing. Schöne Architektur und Einrichtung. Hotel liegt in der Medina (Altstadt) und ist somit nicht direkt mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Parkplatz am Bab Aileen (Zugangstor zur Altstadt) zu empfehlen.

Un Riad Familial ou tout le monde est au petit soin pour nous satisfaire. Le petit dejeuner au soleil sur le toit est un moment de pur bonheur avec d'excellents petits déjeuner variés. Merci pour les excellents conseils de visite et les bonnes adresses !
Comptez tout de même entre 2&3 kilometres de marche dans la Medina pour acceder au differents sites (ce qui n'était vraiment pas un problème pour nous !)

Het is echt een prachtige riad op 10 a 15 minuten lopen van het centrum(prima dus)! Na een goede uitleg van de gastvrouw en wat waardevolle tips loop je zo naar het centrum. Een hapje eten in de riad is ook van harte aan te bevelen!

Liebevoll geführtes Riad, ringhörig.

Wir haben in diesem von einer Familie geführten Riad sechs Nächte verbracht.
Wir haben uns in dieser Zeit sicher und wohl gefühlt. Das Hotel ist sehr gepflegt und die Sauberkeit auf hohem Niveau.
Von der Begrüssung, über die Bedienung und die Beratung hat uns Fatima gut und mit Leidenschaft betreut - besser geht es nicht. Sie hat für glutenfreies Essen gesorgt - sowohl beim sehr feinen und grosszügigen Frühstück als auch beim Essen am Silvesterabend - herzlichen Dank Fatima!
Das Riad ist sehr schön und authentisch eingerichtet. Das Mobiliar und das Gebäude sind gepflegt. Das High-Light ist bestimmt die wunderschöne Dachterrassse die durch das Mobiliar und die Aussicht zum Verweilen einlädt. HIer oben ist es auch schön warm - dies im Gegensatz zum Riad selber. Die Zimmer kann man heizen, auf den Gängen und im Essbereich ist jedoch so kalt, dass man ohne warme Kleidung friert. Wir mussten beim Frühstück unsere dicken Jacken tragen - das ist schade. Was ich auch erwähnen möchte ist, dass das Riad extrem ringhörig ist. Lange in die Nacht und ab 07 Uhr ist es für Menschen die nicht einfach einschlafen und tief schlafen schwierig gut zu schlafen. Man hört Gäste die ankommen und abreisen, man hört jedes Gespräch in der Lobby, jedes Aufschliessen von Türen und das Laufen von Wasser - Isolation? Fehlanzeige! WLAN langsam
Die Lage des Hotels ist aus meiner ideal. Der Weg zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten führt durch ein traditionelles Quartier. Die Leute sind nett.

Das Riad war allgemein ganz gut, jedoch war es sehr schade, dass aufgrund von Hundekot die Dachtereasse nicht zugänglich war. Zudem hat der Hund in der Nacht an der Tür gekratzt und wir konnten nicht gut schlafen. Das Personal war jedoch sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Im allgemeinen war es für eine Übernachtung gut.

Wunderschönes Riad mitten in Marrakesch mit absolut liebenswerten Gastgeberinnen! Gemütliche, große Zimmer, tolles Frühstück auf der Dachterrasse und nützliche Tipps von den Sara und Fatima. Auch das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist top. Ich würde dort jederzeit wieder übernachten.

Traumhaftes Riad mit sehr freundlichen Gastgebern

Hinter unscheinbaren Fassaden eröffnet sich ein Paradies: Orient pur, so liebevoll, detailreiche Architektur, fantastisch eingerichtete Zimmer, wunderschöne Dachterrasse mit vielen Pflanzen und bequemen Sitzmöglichkeiten. Wir fühlten uns wie im Märchen.

Insbesondere möchte ich die außergewöhnliche Gastfreundschaft der Besitzer loben. Sara und ihr Team verdienen von Herzen eine große Anerkennung. Sie waren stets hilfsbereit, zuverlässig und zuvorkommend. Gleich bei der Ankunft bei Minztee und Gebäck nahm sich Sara Zeit, um uns eine Einführung in Marrakesch zu geben. Sie gab uns gute Tipps und erklärte den Weg zum Djeemaa El Fna so gut, dass wir uns nie dorthin und zurück zum Riad verlaufen hatten. Max. 15 min bei eher langsamen Gehen braucht man dorthin. Außerdem gab sie uns super Tipps für die Stadt, buchte Transfers oder Ausflüge für uns.

Das Frühstück war abwechslungsreich und sehr reichhaltig.

Das Umfeld (also das Gebiet zw. Riad und Djeemaa El Fna) ist sehr authentisch. Bereits am ersten Abend sahen wir schon einen wesentlichen Teil Marrakeschs. Bzw. bekamen wir einige Eindrücke vom Leben der Einwohner.

Wenn ich nochmal nach Marrakesch komme, werde ich definitiv wieder dieses Riad wählen, denn wir hatten einen unvergesslichen Aufenthalt. Besser geht´s nicht, denn dort kann man sich nur rundum wohlfühlen!

Una soluzione strategica

Il Riad ha i seguenti vantaggi: vicino ad una porta d’ingresso alla Médina con parcheggio 24 ore adiacente alla porta stessa, vicino alla piazza principale. Il personale è stato più che cordiale e disponibile senza essere invadente. Il Riad è bello, anche se non ho termini di paragone. La camera (suite grande) bella e spaziosa. La percezione di umidità c’è , ma a quanto ho letto è un problema comune. Nel complesso una buona e per noi strategica soluzione.

Sehr hübsches Riad mit reizenden Wirten!

Die Zimmer sind liebevoll eingerichtet mit zwei wunderschönen Innenhöfen und einer tollen Dachterasse. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut, wenn auch, wie in Marrokko üblich, sehr süß. Einziges Manko sind die etwas harten Matratzen, ansonsten tadellos! Jederzeit zu Empfehlen!
