I have been to the island before, and stayed in various resorts, but I have to say this was one of my favorites. The resort is very clean and the owners were friendly and hospitable. The rooms were great and the air conditioning worked well. A wonderful place to stay

My stay at phanghan rainbow bungalows was amazing. A perfect reset. The place is tranquil, with the sea at your doorstep and Noi is the perfect host. She gave us recommendations of where to eat and sorted out a cab service for us to places on the island. The accommodation itself was very clean and spacious, with hot water and air con. It also had a hammock outside which was perfect chill spot. On the left hand side of the beach, you have a reggae bar and restaurant with a lounge which open until around 10pm and then on the right hand side you have Yamz, a restaurant that also sells refreshments throughout the day. Noi also does breakfast until 12 noon.
I really enjoyed my stay here, Noi and her family are what make the place more special, would definitely recommend and can’t wait to come back :-)

Phangan Rainbow Bungalows is hands down one of the best places I’ve stayed in Koh Phangan a true getaway retreat! My bungalow was spotlessly clean, super cozy, & had everything I needed to feel right at home. The real showstopper, though, was the view. Waking up to lush greenery & the sparkling ocean was absolutely priceless
Martin and his wife are the heart and soul of this place. Their warmth & hospitality made me feel like family from the second I arrived. They went above and beyond to ensure I had the best stay, always ready with a smile, local tips, or help with anything I needed. Whether it was recommending a hidden beach or sorting out a scooter rental (which is highly recommended) they made everything effortless.
This place is a perfect blend of chill vibes & island charm, ideal for anyone looking to escape & soak in Koh Phangan’s magic. Phangan Rainbow Bungalows is a must stay I can’t wait to come back

We stayed here to be in the perfect area just far enough away from the busy beach of had rin and the port area of moo 1. It was a decent bungalow with fishing boats near by and great personal beaches to walk along. Check out yams kitchen close by.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Arrived to find a deserted hotel. Initially thought great but then was told no restaurant in low season even though we paid for breakfast. Steep road to cabins which taxi drivers wont drive down and need transport to get everywhere from it, even to a 7/11 which was supposed to be 400m away. Ninas coffee shop was around the corner and lovely. Nina helped us get taxis and said that the hotel has always had problems, no one stays. Aircon was not working in room even though owner said it was. The sea was out quite far to go for a dip and no pool, very picturesque to look out but bitten to shreds, accomodation was poor and not as described. Holes in sheets on bed. Fridge was unplugged so no cold water. When plugged in it sparked very big. Very dangerous.
We like staying in cabins on the beach but this was poor. We found luxury accomodation further around the corner for the same price. Dont risk this place.
The restaurant was the owners family home with tables on the extended veranda. Was dirty and outdated with her kids sitting on tables.
Asked to leave straight away and explained to expedia the situation. The owner became very aggressive telling us she was poor and would not refund. She lied to expedia and refused the refund. Told expedia there was a restaurant and it was open. Appalling service. Expedia honour the hotels over the customers
Dont fall into the trap we did with this one. It was clear the owner did not want to open facilities to 2 people.

Great place. Right on the beach. Beautiful. Kind owners. Good breakfast with American style bacon. Good burgers for lunch. All and all a really good experience. Much better than spending a similar amount to be in a shared room at some hostel. Easy motorbike rental bery close by. I will stay here again if I visit this island again.

We really enjoyed our stay at phangang rainbow bungalows. Martin and Noi were lovely hosts and made us feel really welcome. They gave us helpful advise during our stay and easily let us book an extra night. Their beautiful dog Millie gave us endless joy. It is family run and a nice place to be. The bungalows are in a great location, the beach is stunning and your in-between the two main areas. You do need a scooter to get around but you can hire one next door for 200 baht a day. We would definetly stay again. Thank you!

The view and the beach was so amazing. The sea is very shallow but lovely to sit in to cool down. My boyfriend and I went canoeing and it was honestly pure paradise.

The room was perfect for the price we paid. We were really worried about having no aircon but the fan was fine.

The food was amazing and affordable. The staff even cut down a coconut for me.

We chose this location for the full moon party since it was quite close and we thought taxis would be cheaper. We paid 150TBH per person for a taxi ride to the party and to the pier. If you stay closer to the pier you’ll also pay 150TBH. So we didn’t get a discounted price even though we stayed much closer. There are no taxis at the resort itself but if you stand on the road you’ll get one very quickly.

The wifi in our rooms wasn’t great at all unfortunately. Our only problem. Oh also we were first dropped off at Rainbow Bungalows not Phangan Rainbow Bungalows which are 2 separate resorts. Make sure to specify.

So so loved this place. Would definitely recommend. Cheapest place we stayed at during our trip and we had the best time .

Spend 3 nights here, it is around 5-10 minute ride to town, not many restaurants close by. If you rent a bike it is perfect you can head around the island, it is also very quiet away from all the parties.

The owner is great she will gladly help you with anything you need and she speaks perfect English.

I will never stay there! The room wasn’t clean, we found some huge spiders, it had a bad smell, they never cleaned them even though we stayed there a lot of days, the towels were really old with some stains on it... the only good thing would be that it was kind of near of Haad rin.

Bungalows were amazing if you want a nice private beach. Handy taxi service available- cheap too! Rooms were very basic with cold showers and not many plug sockets, however great location and quality for price. Amazing for full moon party.

We were staying at Ko Phangan for 5 days and Rainbow Bungalow was a perfect place for accommodation. Quiet and peaceful place with a friendly and helpful service. Great food if you want to try a local cuisine plus they providing a lot of extra service like a taxi or tours around the island.

Simple, clean, family-owned and run bungalows in beautiful landscaped gardens on a pretty beach. The restaurant serves a variety of food and Noi is an excellent cook. WiFi is very good. The rooms are very reasonably priced and you definitely get value for money. We stayed over Christmas and only needed a fan bungalow. It did rain a lot so suggest you bring an umbrella. It is a quiet resort and not a party place. Located half way between the largest town on the island Thong Sala and Haad Rin. Resort next door has a pool which you can use but might be charged. Infinity is a 5 minute walk along the beach and has a large pool you can use for free. Every resort along the stretch has bars and restaurants. Taxis and car hire are cheap so you can explore the island which is small. I can highly recommend the massage and steam room at the temple. In fact I can highly recommend Phangan Rainbow bungalows. We had a lovely time there.

This is a beautiful secret gem amongst the hustle & bustle between full moon parties and the night market, a 1 minute walk along a driveway to the main road conveniently to catch taxi’s

Nestled on a private beach, close enough to action but far enough away to relax and escape.

The owners and staff are all super friendly and considerate eager to lend local helpful advise and pleasant to be around,

Family oriented and they make you feel like part of their family,

We were 2 single Canadian girls we felt safe and enjoyed their delicious home cooked cuisine, Thai and kick-... s cheese burgers.

Super clean air conditioning and hot showers, personally love the hammocks, and the patio.

We were both apprehensive about what to expect for paying roughly £20 a night for the bungalow but we can honestly say that it has been the most amazing place we have ever stayed at. We stayed in a beachfront bungalow (definatley worth the upgrade!!) - breathtaking views every morning onto the golden beach. The fan in the room did the job but the room got very hot. Rooms could maybe do with a small fridge to keep drinks cold!
The family who run the bungalows and restaurant are so friendly and speak great English. Always fresh and reliably good food served all day.
Location was great for the full moon party (10 min taxi drive), however a little out of the main action so best to hire a moped down the road and use that to get around the island.
Would definitely return and recommend to friends and family!

We came to ko phangan for 3 nights during the full moon. Pros: The hosts are very friendly, good food, quiet and safe place to stay. Cons: you can't swim in the beach near the bungalos because no water until the evening (we had to go to other beaches like in haad rin), about 15 minutes taxi drive each time to the center - 100 bath per person each way, no room cleaning during our stay but we changed towels when needed.
We left our passports in the reception safe - no problem.
Please notice there is another place with a simillar name called rainbow bungalos in a different area and the taxi driver dropped us in the other hotel before we noticed this and we had to take a taxi again to arrive so I advise to show the taxi the exact adrress.

Excellent beachfront bungalow!

We were pleasantly surprised when we came early to check in and the room was ready for us. Each bungalow is pretty spacious, especially considering it was only for two of us. The restaurant attached is one of the more affordable places to eat. The view is incredible and besides the bungalows, there are lots of places to sit and relax on the beach. We came for the full moon party and it was close to haad rin Beach that a taxi didn't cost too much! Would definitely come back

phangan rainbpw bungalows are smack bang on the beach , in a quiet bay , the rooms are tidy with good aircon ,and the three dogs very friendly and alert iff need be ,, the made to order breakfast, as you like , the help yourself to the well stocked fridge and pay tomorrow was hassle free and refreshing , i copped unsasonal rain whilst staying there and enjoyed the openess of the owners to chat about the history of phangan bungalows and the grandmas trips to melbourne zoo , they made you feel like fanily , and very welcome in a casual way . , ,the bungalows are on the flatter part of the island , an easy scooter ride or 100 baht in cab ,, to thongsala plenty to see and do , iff you can remember gilligans island , this is it , thai bungalows replacing the grass huts in a blue lagoon ,

Phangan Rainbow is directly on a beautiful beach which is very well maintained. We had long walks along the beaches nearby and this part is the cleanest. Besides these, the grassy park among the bungalows is also very nice and daily maintained, full with trees and flowers. The village can be reached in 10 minutes by scooter. The owners speaks English fluently.
Weaknesses:
In budget bungalows there are neither a small cabinet nor a shelf in the rooms, so it is very uncomfortable from this point of view. Beddings are very old and should be replaced.

AMAZING!

Absolutely loved our 6 night stay at this hotel! We stayed over the full moon period, in a beach front bungalow. It was so peaceful and quiet, yet there was still a more lively atmosphere in the evening. The bungalows are immaculate, staff are all great and I have never had such good value for money! We had a fan only bungalow, which we were unsure of, but it kept us cool right through the night. Couldn't recommend it more!

Perfect Beach Getaway

Absolutely loved everything about this place, we ended up staying 2 extra nights. The bungalows are on the beach and away from the busy parts of the island. It is easy to just rent a moped and explore the whole island.
The room was basic, equipped with 2 beds, a fan, a bathtub, a working shower, and a hammock. The restaurant food was all home cooked and always delicious. One of the few places in Thailand were we had really fresh salads.
Also it was only a 10-15 minute taxi ride to the full moon party for 100 baht.

We stayed in B6, a room with a fan, no AC. Beautiful place on the beach but - no one cleaned the room for 4 days, dogs everywhere, waste water from all hotels goes to the beach in the sea, lots of mould in the room on the ceilings and mouldy musty smell inside.

I really enjoyed staying here. The place is secluded yet not very far from the happening parts of the island. Basic cottages were comfortable and provided exactly what I was looking for. The hosts were great, fantastic food, and it felt like being home.

The bungalows are in an excellent and gorgeous spot. The beach is so pretty and clean, there's a resort next door with infinity pool (200 baht to swim), and the restaurant serves nice meals. Easy to find the owners at any time. The wifi was strong and worked great in the room, even streaming videos. Only downside was the room was pretty basic- fan only, only three power outlets, hammock on porch fell down on day one and was never fixed.

The staff were excellent, friendly and gave us great advice on what to do and where to go on the Island. They are located right next to the beach. Amazing 3 night stay!
Lovely bungalows. Spotlessly clean, much more space than expected.
Staff are so nice, Noy makes amazing food, both Thai and western.
Lovely clean beach, able to walk into the sea without it getting too deep.
Loved the dogs walking around, especially Wally. So gentle and would never bother you should you not be keen on dogs.
Stayed during the full moon party, everyone was in great spirits. Great music playing and we were given paint for that night.
Wish we could have stayed longer, will definitely be back!

We stayed here for 3 nights with a group of couples and had a very relaxing time in beautiful surroundings. The rooms were basic but had everything we needed and were great value, we had a AC one which I would deffinately recommend if like me you struggle to sleep in the humidity.

Martin and Noy were very welcoming and in the restaurant/bar area on the beach felt like an extension of your rooms with no pressure to buy anything if you wanted to relax in there all day, but there is a healthy stocked fridge of drinks and the food was fantastic and great value.

We found the beach to be stunning and enjoyed sitting in the warm waters under the parasols that are dotted out in the bay and relaxing on the beach with the friendly dogs that are part of the property.

A little piece of heaven!!!

From the moment we arrived in rainbow bunglows we felt straight at home. Martin & Noy were very welcoming. Our room was perfect for the trip we had planned, clean, comfy & 1 min from.the beach.the food was excellent & the customer service fantastic. After 5.5 weeks travelling, rainbow bungalows was by far the highlight of our trip. Very reasonably priced & great value for money!! We stayed around full moon, the atmosphere was electric & we made so many new friend's during our stay. The perfect place to.stay during party season, as u can get away from the noise but close enough if you do want to party!!!

WORST VALUE FOR MONEY WE EVER HAD!

Very disappointed, would NOT go back there. we paid an expensive price for 5 nights and expected to get a good accommodation. As we arrived we got a room that was less than basic!
no air-conditioning,no WiFi in the room, no refrigerator, no safe (although they offer to save your valuable things at their house) and no TV.
We were told that the room gets cleaned once in 3 days and it wasn't cleaned even once.
Beach was clean but the water was too shallow for swimming and looked abit like a swamp.
The only positive thing was the food at the restaurant although it was a bit expensive.

Booked to stay here due to so many good reviews on tripadvisor, when we arrived we were shocked at how run down the place was. We were shown to our room and our 'Mid range' room was basic at best. It looks like it's not been cleaned in years, the room was full of bugs and geckos, a very old fan meant that the room was a constant sauna. During our entire 4 day stay the bin in the bathroom wasn't emptied once...grim! We have been travelling for 2 months and this was the worst place we encountered for the money they charge! It's insane! Save your money and stick to koh tao and koh samui, koh phanagan is just not worth the hassle! The only good thing was the food served in the restaurant and the lovely lady who cooks all the food!

Amazing stay at the Phangan Rainbow Bungalows

We had an incredible time at the Phangan Rainbow Bungalows! The room was clean, the owners are absolutely fantastic and the view of the ocean is simply incredible! I would definitely recommend renting a scooter if you want to check out the island. The location was perfect and we were at most - 20 minutes from whatever destination we wanted to explore! We will absolutely stay here again if we are in Koh Phangan! Be sure to try the green curry, Phangan curry and coconut soup!! Absolutely delicious :)

We have been there for 3 nights with my wife. Good place close to the beach but that shore was not appropriate for swimming, only for sunbathing. Nice staff including dog security guards :)
We recommend the place if you want a fair cheap accomodation and rent a car or bike and move to another beach to swim or snorkel.

There are so many options on Phangan; I spent a couple hours reviewing countless guesthouses, resorts, and hotels, but Phangan Rainbow looked like a solid combination of value, privacy, amenities, and a great beach. So I booked it. Save yourself the hours: book your stay here immediately. We spent 4 nights at Phangan Rainbow and were thrilled with our choice. The property itself is beautiful enough that you don't want to leave. The bungalows are adorable. Their on-site restaurant had some of the best food I've tasted in Thailand, and their handy beer fridge was a happy addition. We enjoyed getting to know Martin, Noi, and their two great dogs Wally and Max. I highly recommend staying at Phangan Rainbows; they offer incredible value for their bungalows and food, and the location is handy to everywhere you'd like to go, yet you feel a million miles away when you're there.

L’emplacement est tout simplement paradisiaque se réveiller le matin et pouvoir se baigner et entendre le bruit de l’eau et de la nature depuis le hamac de la terrasse étaient un délice
Un petit déjeuner est possible sur place avec une carte en supplément mais tarif un peu élevé 600 bath à deux pour œufs brouillés café et un jus pour deux et qq fruits frais mais ça ne nous a pas dérangé nous avons tester dés breakfast à proximité
Endroit idéal pour se poser après une journée de balade et soleil😎
Quelques petits restos sur la plage à pied juste à côté
Le ménage n’est pas fait tous les jours plutôt le principe du airbnb tenu par une famille Thai très souriante

Nous avons apprécié notre séjour. Le cadre est très beau. Nous avons les pieds dans l’eau. Les propriétaires sont super sympa, accueillants, vraiment au top! Le seul petit point négatif c’est qu’il n’y avait pas de climatisation dans notre chambre je n’avais pas fait attention lors de ma réservation, c’était notifié…Heureusement que Martin est super sympa, et nous a donné un deuxième ventilateur.

Vilket mysigt o bra ställe, lungt o skönt. Hade i princip stranden för oss själva. Hjälpsam p trevliga ägare. Små rum/ bungalows men fullt tillräckligt.

Super schönes Hotel.
Toller Ausblick, ruhig & sehr nette Inhaber.
Man braucht definitiv einen Roller, da das Hotel etwas abgelegen ist. Dafür gibt es aber Rollerverleihe direkt um die Ecke :)
Leider gibt es keinen Roomservice :/ war aber für ein paar Tage in Ordnung.
