Amazing hotel! We had a room in the lush jungle. The pool and common areas were very pleasant and theres coral to snorkel around on the beach at the front. All the staff were very freindly and we reallt wnjoyed the iced matcha lattes at breakfast!

The rooms were nestled into beautiful foliage for privacy. The gardens as a whole were lovely and well tended. The staff were wonderful and couldn't do enough for you. Nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant led directly onto the beach as did the infinity pool/pool bar. The beach was cleaned twice a day to remove leaves etc. - a lovely walk, peaceful, not too many people. The only downside for us was a lack of shade areas as we prefer not to sit out in direct sun. Having said that we thoroughly enjoyed our four week stay.

The property location is perfect on the beach which is very clean. The sea is almost mirror flat and loverly to swim in. The hotel has a great vibe with adults only, no children ruining the pool environment. The staff are amazing and very helpful paying attention to your needs before you ask. The room was clean and easy to stay in with an amazing shower. (Very powerful). The food in the restaurant is very good and the staff were great at supporting us with gluten and dairy free food. Our view, best located hotel on the beach and the best place to stay.

Great sunsets, good beach stay.

We stayed for 3 nights prior to New Years Eve. Loved the beach front, great sun loungers, beanbags and cocktails for sunset. Rooms all terraced, terraces could be dark due to set back in gardens but rooms bright, clean, modern with huge bathrooms and great bed! Service charge (10%) and 7% tax added to all food/drink purchases which can add up! No advance notice of pool party days (luckily for us happened on last day but would be good to know when booking if that’s what you want to avoid or attend!). Great breakfast. 10 min walk to Haad Rin beach. Would recommend if you want adults only but pick timings carefully if you’re looking to avoid party atmosphere. Good beach vibe.

The Explorar Koh Phangan was an amazing property. The staff was awesome. Breakfast buffet was great. The pool, the room, fitness center all great. Not to mention an amazing sunset every night. Would highly recommend and would definitely return.

The Koh phangan property isn’t as nice as the one on Koh Samui. The stay would have been much better if the hotel did not open the pool area to the public at a cut price rate - this just crowded the pool at certain times of the day. The clientele weren’t always pleasant, The pool water had a weird chemical taste - sour is the closest way to describe it. Having said that the restaurant food was very good; the massages were excellent and there was a spacious and quiet co-working space to get some work done.

Everything was perfect for our wedding anniversary trip. Breakfast buffet to start the day, then straight into the pool to wake up some more, walking around haad rinn is easy, plenty of shopping and things to do. Friendly staff that took care of anything and everything. Will stay here again. Wish I knew they had another location in Samui too. Will stay here again and again.

Beautiful, modern resort

The resort is very nice, clean on a nice beach. The service and the food is excellent. The rooms are very big, nice and very modern, BUT they lack completely the functionality. In a superior room, on a very large space it is a king bed, only a night table and a shelf under the TV. The closet is very small, no drawers, no place to put your luggage and more, no desk and chair in this large room! waist of space!

Wonderful place to stay in Koh Phangan beach front with a infinity pool and great breakfast. The staff are wonderful always smiling and Thank you Fabia for helping me checking in and making me feel welcome. Everything is so close by to walk around and explore Haad Rin and full moon party but far enough to not really hear the noise from the full moon party.

Brilliant stay in a modern and peaceful resort. Fantastic pool and beach facilities for relaxing days and then a short 10 minute walk from town for the evenings. The staff were always very friendly and there to offer help and advice. We would definitely recommend this hotel!

First off. Amazing bed and bedding!!! Great location close to town nice beach. Laundry scooter rental and taxi across street. Beautiful grounds and well kept rooms only downside if your disabled no access for wheelchairs. Nice infinity pool right on beach and some cheaper bars and restaurants a little walk down beach. Shocking they have 4*. Wouldnt give them 3*.

Its our honeymoon.. and Unfortunatly we chose this property. I would give them 2* or max 3* if i wanna be nice.
No spa. No room service. No air condition in the gym (it doesnt work).. and no air condition in the reception or the dinning area.
The service is within a a range of 1-2 score out of 10. And most of the staff is rude (there was one nice man and one women).
There was a huge mosqito in our room and bugs all over the property. When we ask to bring something.. they broght it and ask for a deposit of 1,000b for a small electric item that its worth is no more than 90B.
We booked it on the day of the arrival.. and 2 hours after we arrived we asked to leave because of all of the above.. and they insisted on charging us for both nights.
After one night and a horrible service in the breakfast, we decided that we are not gonna feel like hostige and left, with the second night paid already.
A disgusting way to treat costumers.. not to mention your \"guests\".
Will not come back there even if someone will pay me.
Shocking they have 4*. Wouldnt give them 3*.
Its not all about the look.

Staff was very friendly when we arrived! Lots of facilities around the hotel. Beautiful and modern rooms. I had one of the worst sleeps because the air conditioning unit in our room died half way through the night so we had to have a bunch of mens come to the room to fix it in the middle of the night. It then broke again a few hours later and we had to sleep in 40° heat. The staff did nothing for us except for saying a quick sorry

Room fit out is good - with attention to details, of excellent value for money . First time experience: Generous Thai Baht 200 voucher per guest; free rental of GoPro. Great WiFi/Aircon/location and most importantly, service beyond the ordinary. Booked the wrong date on a non refundable room and front desk made various calls to HQ/3rd party booker to change it.

Great little gem on a party island.

The location of the hotel is great, is it is close enough to the full moon party beach and far enough from it to enjoy some great peace and quiet. The rooms are modern and I liked the use of the black stone in the rooms and well as the pool. A nice and almost perfect infinity pool right off the beach, makes for a relaxing and picturesque stay and if you plan to get the beach facing rooms that has an outdoor tub, that just makes it even better.
The staff is mostly courteous, and the drinks are great.
The only thing that could use some improvement might be the food- while good it is not something that is as amazing as the perfect location and setting for it. ( that goes for the a la carte dishes as well as the breakfast spread.)
With the price you pay for the place, I expected more - atleast on the breakfast spread.

But will I return should I come back? Absolutely.

Might just try to find a few alternatives to eat or keep my overall expectations on food lower.

close to the full moon but far

the location is problem, because the road to haddrin is dark and dangerous so any way you need to take taxi or motorbike it's 15 min walk but dangerous with no side walk
the rooms are small and not lock till the end so it's all locker problems - I felt unsafe from this matter
the pool is amazing can stay at pool till 2200 with bars and shakes And the team are kind and nice.
the food is not cheap pad tai 250 baht
outside 50 baht
In any restaurant 100 baht
alcoholic cocktails 250 baht not include tax and service.(they ask u don't to bring alcohol from outside???)
U can find better location with much cheaper prices
alot of stairs if u are old or small kid or disabled it's a problem

Very helpful staff, free shuttle to and from haad Rin dock. My wife and I spent 3 nights there on our honeymoon and had an amazing time. The rooms are pretty basically furnished. Extremely comfortable king size bed, good shower. Loved

Great place!!

This resort is great! The staff were friendly and very helpful with booking ferries and info about the area. There was a shuttle to collect us from ferry which was a pleasent surprise!

The room was great, spacious and minimal design. Bed was comfortable and the bedding was high quality. The water pressure was good. Blackout curtains are definitely a bonus. We had a great view of the ocean and the pool.

The buffet had good choices. The restaurant food and service were both great. We appreciated the bug spray provided for out door dining!

Location was great for us, everything we needed was close by. Scooter hire right across the street.

We definitely enjoyed our stay at the coast! Highly recommend!

You can't get normal coffe at breakfast because their are not enough stuff..
The bed are horrible!!
The pillow are from sponges
The menu offers little dishes so you always order 2... and it is not cheap...
You are in Thailand- and there is no massage!!!!
The beach is 350 meter from the peer... and the sea is dirty...
No turquoise color anywhere....
2 snakes in one evening near the room!!!!
If you are looking for islands in Thailand- this is not the place for you...

Good hotel on the beach

We arrived at Hadrin pier in Koh Phangan, and there were minivans waiting to take customers to the hotel for free. This was not coordinated with us and was very pleasant ! The checkin was smooth and we were greeted very nicely by the hotel staff. The rooms were good, and had everything needed (minibar, coffee, etc.). The pool and beach are fantastic ! infinity pool, and pool bar directly on the pool.
Two things could be better - more tables at breakfast, and two coffee machines for quicker service...
The beach is quiet and calm and beautiful, but swimming is a bit problematic since after 20 meter there are a lot of plants and corals/stones...

Great staff and great facilities

When the check in staff saw that we preferred a ground floor room, she immediately went and got permission to give us a ground floor room - and it was closer to the beach. The breakfast buffets are quite good and its open long enough that you can actually wake up in time (unlike others in Asia). We especially liked the pool and bar in the pool Sunset drinks at the pool were great. The beach is narrow but good. There are quite a few small sets of stairs on the property which might be an issue for some people. The restaurant was a over-priced for Thailand but its easy to walk a short way down the beach to find normal prices. Its quite a walk to the party beach but this is why you stay here. Overall it is an excellent choice.

Fantastic atmosphere

Very nice hotel. A chilled and relaxed atmosphere. Located right on the beach, with beaitiful infinity pool. The beach is the west beach (\"sunset beach), which is quiter- far enough from the sunset beach and haadrin center. And still, you can reach the full moon party in 10-15 minutes walking.
There are free Yoga lessons and free kayak rental, which is a great addition!
On the downsides, rooms were rather simple, and housekeeping was below average (forgot to refill shampoo and change dirty glasses, and even put on the floor clothes that were on the bed).

Seems like a new hotel but not worth the money

We stayed here for 4 nights and really liked the pool and the surroundings in the hotel.
However, from the outside, the hotel seems lovely but the room is not that nice, the shower is very basic, the pillows are horrible and sometime the staff forgot a few things like to return towels for example.
Breakfast: kind of basic as appose to the others but here every coffee different than filtered was extra charge (any other hotel at the same level was happy to supply all kinds of).
The staff was very kind and willing to help but it felt there are so many strict rules so they had to enforce them all the time.
Anyway, I won't come back and definitely won't recommend the hotel. Even though it's very promising.

The hotel is located 5-8 mins walk from Haadrin - which contains a large variety of shops and restaurants
There are places you can rent a scooter nearby
Good and tasty breakfast
Clean rooms, big TV that plays movies in English (finally not just in Thai)
Staff is helpful and nice (and knows English - a big plus)
About 20 mins to the main city - and they negotiate a better price for a taxi usually than what you can get
Overall an amazing hotel which we'll definitely will visit again, and recommend to our friends.

We found The Coast to be one the best hotels we've ever stayed in. The rooms were spacious and chic. The amenities (infinity pool,yoga class, and gym) were very upscale. You really could not find anything better in the island, so we elongated our stay to keep enjoying this awesome hotel.

rooms are modern and new. very nice bathroom and patio in front. the food was good, pool was very nice. only thing that was unpleasent were algae in the water.

yoga lessons offered every day at 5 pm. jocelyn, the teacher is great and the classes are very good!
also close to the hotel the coral bungalows where you can eat very good, and cheap.

we paid 2000thb/~50eur per night for the room incl breakfest for standard doulbe room. which is a good value /money . under this condition would go again and can fully recommend the place

attention:
do not book a scooter at the place close to the hotel and close to coral bungalows(same side of the street) business model is to scam ppl. we had a scratch on the sticker of the scooter and had to pay 4500 thb then 2000 thb. don't give you passport away! try to rent in a other hotel or hostel and not on the street.

Staff was very friendly and helpfu . A gentlemen from Germany and a staff member from France were very nice and gave us tips on where to eat and what to visit. The hotel is a short tuktuk ride away from the sunrise beach. There is a 7-11 around the corner. They have a good happy hour every day from 5-7 . the hotel sits on the beach and has a beautiful view of the sunset. Definitely make it a point to make it back to hotel in time for the sunset and enjoy some drinks and relax in the pool. Bartenders and bar manager were great at making drinks and giving recommendations on where to party. Would definitely stay here again.

I'll be back a 3rd time for sure.

This was my second time staying there. I can't possibly do the place justice in this short review. There are a good few mistakes to be made on Koh Phangan, The Coast will never be one of them. From the sleek pool deck on sunset beach, with swim up bar and blended drinks you never wait more than a minute or two for, to the quiet verdant paths connecting the facility, the place is definitively tranquil and, just, cool. The staff will go to the ends of the earth to help sort you out. Highly recommended.

The hotel is nice, differentiating from other hotels in Koh Phangan the hotel has modern design.
Hotel's location is grate for those who wish to enjoy the Full/Half moon parties, and still live in comfortable conditions.
The hotel is located only 10min walk from the parties.

The hotel address more to younger crowd, even though there were some couples. the hotel isn't designed for romantic couples, nor families.

The hotel is beautiful , very contemporary design. The beach is just gorgeous and the staff were so kind too . 10 min walk or 3 min drive to the Had Rin beach where all the bars and night life . We had such a great time in this hotel :)

Relatively new but very crowded

The hotel itself is relatively new and staff is very nice and eager to please.
Been to this hotel a year and a half ago - it seems that their drinks and food prices have doubled themselves within 18 months.
The hotel is quite small but still have like 50 rooms so the pool was too crowded for our taste - no chairs available near the pool at all times - big disappointment.
The room is located in the south west thus experiences very strong winds during May to October.

Breakfast was cold every day.
The vibe was too noisy.
We won't stay at this hotel again since it misses Thailand atmosphere for our taste.

Quant Resort in Great Location

Firstly, call ahead and their shuttle will pick you up from the pier when you arrive on the island. The design stands out and is quite unique on this little island. It has clean lines and simple finishings. The location is the perfect distance to town. I stayed for four nights in the poolside room. This room was perfect for me but I’ll give you some plus’ and minus’ for an informed decision. We had room 9 on the first floor - I loved it. However, if the hotel is busy the rooms -like any- are not high sound proof so if you’re a light sleeper you may hear noise in the evening until 11:30pm from people like me at the pool or early in the morning as the restaurant is right next to the the pool so the wonderful team there sets up early (around 6am). But they try and be very quite as they’re preparing the beautiful buffet breakfast. there are quite rooms that do not have a water view for slightly less but I personally think that the rooms facing the pool and ocean are well worth a little bit of noise.

I read before coming to Koh Pagnan not to expect great service as it’s a sleepy laid back island. I found this to be so untrue. The service here was supper friendly, personalized and just overall put a smile on my face. Breakfast is included and it is done very well. Aside from breakfast I found the other items to be okay however, you’re there to get a local flavor so branch out and go to the local restaurants. In particular one directly across the street next to the laundry mat.

Modern resort, short walk from all the action

We had a good one-night experience at The Coast. Being quite a new place, the resort area (garden and pathways) are in very good condition. Our room was very modern, classy, clean and fairly spacious. The service was solid. The infinity pool is beautiful, with a swim-up pool bar (a bit pricey) and nice view of the beach. It's a fairly small resort, and a great location if you're not looking to stay right in the main Haad Rin beach area -- it's an 8-minute walking from all the shopping and restaurants. The only downside is the beach: quite wavy, and a lot of debris washes up on the shore.. so you'd want to do your swimming at one of the nearby beaches... they're close enough. All in all, it's a good choice for young people who want to lounge by the pool and have walking access to Haad Rin -- the place was almost entirely couples in their 30s during our visit.

The rooms are to small without any windows...At night when the ac is off...it's impossible to sleep...

Excellent Experience at the Coast

we loved the coast. perfect setup with rooms close to the pool and beach. we went to haad rin every night (10 min walk to the \"full moon party beach\"), which was a blast on all night of the week. the coast has great happy hour specials and food is terrific. the staff was incredibly helpful. there is a shuttle to pick you up from the ko samui ferry.

only words of caution is that the surrounding water is very rocky, which makes swimming essentially impossible. kayaking is available, but also dangerous becuase the shallow, rocky water can be treacherous if you capsize.

Friendliest staff in while trip to thailand.

Couldnt be better. Everything was perfect and we didnt want for anything. What made this the best is that we stayed in over 8 hotels in 3 weeks and the coast staff were the friendiest of all which is a main reason this is the best hotel :)
