The property was generally well maintained. Unfortunately some of the guests and children think 2am is a nice time to be rowdyThe breakfasts were fine but some of the buffet dinners bore little semblance to what they purported to be especially asian and Indian.

Fantastic location in Benalmadena. Hotel was extremely clean and offered fantastic breakfast. It is a bit dated but very clean. We had two bedroom apartment, beds were very comfortable. Kitchen fully equipped. Highly recommended.

Overall we had a lovely stay here. I think that the dinner buffet experience and options could be improved upon but breakfast was nice. As a couple we felt that the hotel is definitely more of a family friendly environment but still enjoyed ourselves. Staff were all so nice and welcoming, and the amenities in the hotel are brilliant (supermarket is well stocked, lots of things going on, onsite salon/massages etc)

Had a junior suite with a sea view. Room was well equipped, nice little kitchen for making tea/coffee, making a bit of brunch. Supermarket downstairs, fresh bread and cakes, well stocked and reasonably priced. Bed was so comfortable and huge, highly recommend.

Really great to see that these days we have this level of high quality that we miss since years. 10/10 service and 10/10 comfortable resort. Amazing professional and well trained staff. Views from the spacious balconies so calming. Nearby beaches and restaurants - really a great deal if with family or alone.

Have stayed a few times here the late check in was a bit disappointing it I understand some people get early access sadly I wasnt one of those.
It is clean and can get loud but that is just people having fun which they are meant to be doing so.
Facilities all good as well with the local on sit supermarket being well stocked .
Across the road is green monkey burger bar which is great for quality burgers and high street burgers you have a Burger King .
Also across the road is a bigger supermarket

Room description is misleading advertising “Prime Sea View” that does not have a full view of the sea but rather partial view mostly viewing the mountain behind. We therefore upgraded to a Junior Suite for an extra 100 euros.

Reason if view is not obstructed then its considered prime whether you only see part ocean and part city.

Only gripe was noise for a few hours as the wind outside was strong and causing a whistling sound throughout the corridor although they did try to address the issue it was still audible until the wind levels dropped I think they need to check the doors and windows seals to address the issue otherwise great stay and would go back

Lovely stay - short and sweet. Only for two nights to visit family. Excellent room, location and wonderful view of the sea.

Christina and Sylvia on Reception were terrific.

One point for improvement. Reception told me pool open from 9am. Went in at 9.45. 9.50, lifeguard tells me - pool not open till 10….. please sort that out.

The one thing that lets this hotel down is the poor quality of the food in the Dinner Buffet, \"stay away from it\", the Al A Carte restaurant was just a little better, breakfast was very good, why cant they reach the same standard with the Dinner Buffet as the breakfast???? Everything else was very good, friendly staff, very clean, comfortable, great pool area. Alcohol was a little pricey in the bar.

It was the perfect location for us. Beautiful view of the beach and mountains from our room. We loved having a terrace. Kitchen is small but all we needed to make breakfast, coffee & tea in the morning. There is a grocery store on the resort, but also there’s a large grocery store right across the street (Dai).

We loved the resort feel of the beautiful pools and restaurants. There were lots of chairs and we never had a problem getting one. The only negative is that they don’t provide pool towels (so we brought down our bath towels from the room, but many people had their own from home).

Very close to go in to Malaga for the day. We took Bus 110 and it went right to the historical area near the water (1.70 euros each way). It took 45minutes, but we got to see the area on the way (as one town blends with the next).

We mainly used this as a home base to explore Costa del Sol. Very easy to drive here. Parking in lot filled up quickly but usually some on the street.

All was good, till I saw the maids dump all bottles and cans pop and beer into the garbage. It made me ill to see these items going to a landfill. A guest told us there are recycle bins by the store on main floor, after a week I started to take it down but they were always overflowing…you need to place bigger bins for recycle.and let your guests know where they are, Canadians are big recyclers, paper, glass and plastic and cans. …if your trying to save water don’t take the towels unless they are on the floor….we don’t wash our towels everyday at home. Big improvement needed in this area
Nice to see the hotel post Covid has been upgraded, and renovated, lovely lobby ….since you don’t have help fir baggage ALL front desk staff should know you have carts on floor 6 next to tour desk, we arrived late and when asked for a trolley we’re told there was one large one but no one knows where it is,? We found them T 5pm before our departure…..a had to transfer 5 large pieces and 2 small. It was very difficult…for 2 elderly women.
Entertainment is still the best, bus transportation great and proximity to super markets excellent….
Great staff if you could get to the front of the line…always long lineups. At front desk, phones were not answered
Because they were busy, so what do you do in an Emergency ….when you are alone, You need a better system ….otherwise a lovely stay….

Great location with eater views. Excellent facilities and so clean and well maintained . Impressed with maid service and all the staff very pleasant and attentive. Would definitely go back if have the chance. Had a little trouble with WiFi in our room the last week we were there but they said system was being worked on so hopefully they were able to improve it.

Overall a great stay and the staff weee fantastic and the only thing that let it down was the quality of the food in the a la carte as was quite poor. I would also recommend having the A la carte restaurant separate and in the restaurant to the right of the buffet restaurant which closed early for some strange reason and is of much better ambience and feel than the big free for all in the buffet side.

Good location. Very helpful reception staff. The apartment was a good size and had everything I needed including a well equipped kitchenette. My only grumble would be that it was noisy in the mornings, from 7.45 I could always hear furniture being dragged across the floor above and the cleaners talking loudly in the corridor.
Nice pool area with sunbeds and bar, entertainment several evenings during the week and various activities if you want them.

The hotel rooms are dated and require total reburbishment. We booked a Studio, Seaview, Terrace but when we went to our room, they had given us one WITHOUT a terrace. On returning to Reception they said Expedia had displayed an inaccurate description. There were no studios with terraces. However after complaining our friends (who also booked this category) were reallocated a studio with a terrace (so they did have some) but there were none left for us. We ended up in 3 different rooms in the 5 days of our trip so that we had a terrace but had to work round availability and other bookings. The Hotel Manager was abrupt and reluctant to help. I submitted an official complaint to Expedia 5 days ago but as yet have not received confirmation or a response.

Sunset beach is under construction….they want to modernize this beautiful hotel. So there was construction sites going on on multiple floors. Could be dusty and noisy at times. But the location, great staff, access to transportation and amenities make so worth the stay.

Ok hotel for a short break

We only stayed here 3 nights and felt that was plenty for us, couldn't imagine doing a whole week or two here.

Pro's: Hotel is in a good location, with lots of nice restaurants and bars nearby. The hotel has lots available for children to do.
Predominantly Irish who were staying here, so a lovely friendly bunch with the bar open until the early hours. Lovely big pools which were not too cold but didnt have much of a shallow end - they got really deep quite quickly.

Negatives: The beds are super uncomfortable, actually painfully uncomfortable. There are not enough lifts for the amount of people staying and the number of floors the hotel has - you could be queuing upto half hour for a lift. No lifeguards - occassionally you may have 1 overseeing all pools but they're not very vigilant at all.

Hours for operating the pool should extend past 1800 hours. The housekeeping staff was wonderful, but the room needed to be sprayed for little bugs and insects. The front desk crew, concierge, and the on-site grocery store staff were awesome.
My mattress was bowed (concaved) badly, but staff replaced it right away.

Location is excellent. Staff are fantastic. Pool area is dangerously slippery (the green part). Childrens play area needs a good clean and items fixing. Restaurant is great. Bar is very good. Rooms - way too noisy. Furniture being moved, kids running around etc - there is no sound deadening. Poorly fit patio doors meant I had to change room one night - the doors acted like a perfect whistle and the noise was hideous during a storm. The staff were very good with this. I found the beds uncomfortable and noisy and slept on the sofa bed instead, though this will be a personal thing. Cleaned well though, good size and with sea/pool view which is great. Just all a bit tired and in need of updating.

Top quality hotel with amazing views of the ocean.

Stayed with family for one week towards the end of March 2022 in a delux sea-facing junior suite room on a high floor. The room was neat and clean and the view of the sea from the balcony was simply amazing.

If you are booking this property then the extra price of the sea-facing rooms are absolutely worth it. You will wake up each morning to glimpse the sunrise over the sea, at nights you can see the stars and sometimes lights from distant ships as they sail to their destinations.

The size of the room and balcony was sufficient for a family of 3. There is a king bed and a double sofa-bed, both of which are comfortable to sleep on. The kitchen is quite small but fully stocked. The bathroom is medium sized, with a rainfall shower (no tub).

The beach is a short 2 minute walk from the hotel. A lot of shops and restaurants in walking distance from the hotel. The concierge is helpful and provide slightly discounted tickets for local attractions. The local shop is well stocked, open 7 days, but a little pricey. You will get more value for your money shopping at Dia across the road.

Lots of deck chairs by the two outdoor pools. We did not try the indoor pool, or any of the restaurants in the hotel. Hence can't comment on that.

To be honest, our stay here was amongst the best we have had in Spain. Will definitely stay here again in the future.

It is the third time that I went to Sunset Beach Club. I find the hôtel confortable. I feel in security. All the commodities are in the hôtel: market, restaurant, beauty parlor, doctor….The view of the sea and the boardwalk complete this wonderful site.

Only reservation I had was how the hotel handles their efforts to control Covid 19. I observed no sanitisation of door hardware or lift controls. There was also very sporadic sanitisation of sunbeds

Brilliant location. Staff helpful. Room facilities basic but clean. Lifts are a major let down. For the size of the property having just 3 lifts meant large queues forming and wait times some times exceeded 5-10 mins.

Generally we had good very good time. Hotel was very nicely located. Literally you are next to the beach and full of restaurants and shops.
The hotel could be improved
1/ they only have 2 people in the reception. Which means many people have to wait for the service
2/ in our room toilet didn't flush properly but it was not big problem
3/ bed socket was in right in the middle of the bed so it was not convenient

Apart from these small issues we had fantastic time.

A holiday in Spain for sisters from Norway &Canada

paid for our 13 night stay in advance march 10, with the emergency to get back to our home in Norway, March 14 we asked if we could receive a credit for unused nights and were told by the agent checking us out,,,,” we have to live as well”
no you wont receive a credit. This is not the way hotels and airlines have reacted to this terrible situation in the 🌍 world.
This is a very poor Customer Service response, I am very disappointed at her rude handling of this event.
