Beautiful resort! Pools were great! The beach was not good for swimming, however, there is a beautiful large, lively one within 15 minutes of walking. There’s also a free Shuttle to 2nd pool.

Our over all experience at cocohut was fantastic. The bungalows are newely renovated beautifully. The resort is a perfect peaceful getaway so close to all the caious and partys. Breakfast was a very nice selection. The drinks and paid food were definitely higher, staff was kind and very accommodating. The upper pool had less kids in it and an amazing view.

Best Tucked away Gem!

During Covid-19, we stayed here! This place is amazing. It is very spacious on the property. The bar outside by the beach has the friendliest staff and you can also get a massage by the beach. The pool over looked the beautiful sea, and the hotel structure was very beautiful! Thank you Jasmine (reception) for being so kind to us!!!

I had to change the date of my booking Bc or ferry scheduling and it was no problem!!! They messaged us and got right back to us! When arriving we were greeted by name and taken to our lovely room. The room is spacious and the balcony is LARGE! You wake up and feel like ur looking out at the jungle.

The water pressure was great! Hot water! And the AIR con was amazing once it got going.

I highly recommend this hotel for families or for ppl who want to be away from the loud noise of Haad rin beach!

You can rent a motorbike on the property and ride two min to Haad rin beach for nightlife!

My Samsung Galaxy S10 was stolen by the member of staff who rented out motorcycles for the hotel. I reported this too the police who kept me in police box for 2 hours trying ineptly to use a find my phone app and threatened to arrest me for accusing a Thai national. The police and hotel refused too help in any way. Even refusing to give me their names or a piece of headed paper stating that I had lost or had my phone stolen for insurance purposes. The hotel refused to allow me to call the British consulate, stating that I never had a phone in the first place. But after cancelling my bank cards and phone conection the using a friend's phone. The police arrived with my phone stating that they had found it in a bush 300 years from the place where I had left it with the motorcycle renters girlfriend whilst being showed a bike. The police even took 600 Baht (£17) out of my phone expecting me to give it too them a reward which I flatley refused. The hotel manager and staff where unbelievable in their manners and complete refusal to help.
PLEASE be careful with your possessions at this hotel. It's a lovely location and with full moon parties making Haad Rid a busy little town. Cancelling my phone and bank cards was a problem. But we refused to let this spoil our break. We were based in Koh Samui and spent 4 day's at Cocohut, leaving after the above incident. I have visited Thailand many times and found the people to be very polite and honest. BUT the Cocohut? NO NO NO!

Great hotel with amazing beach

Fantastic hotel with a fantastic beach! Very good service, we got a room upgrade to a bigger bungalow when we checked in! The beach and the pool were great, too bad they were building next to the restaurant and it was a bit noisy when we had lunch there. Breakfast is okay, could have more fruit.
I tried the foot massage in the spa and was wonderful too. I would totally go back to this hotel!

I was never made aware that there was shuttle service available for a fee between the pier and the hotel. No hand soap provided. Was unable to flush toilet paper in select rooms and there was no sanitary way of disposal. They did help to arrange an early morning transport so I wouldn't miss my flight but they did not give me a wake up call as requested.

great hotel except for the beach

we stayed at Cocohut during a down time (no full moon party) in low season, so the place was pretty relaxed. the staff and service were really excellent! we originally booked the hillside bungalow, but changed to the senior bungalow, which was much nicer and at ground level. the steps to the hillside bungalow were too dangerous (clumsy is my middle name) and the bungalow itself was meh. thank you to Elias for allowing us to change bungalows! also thank you to Yossi and the front desk staff for arranging two tours and generally answering any questions we had.

the food in the restaurant was good, and if you order right, not really that expensive. you can always find cheaper options, but what length you go to save $2 is up to you. the pool was nice as well. only complaint we had was that the beach is unswimmable. it's walkable, although short. you can wade up to your calves if you want to play mine sweep with the coral and rocks. we took excursions to see other beaches, and all of them were nicer than Leela.

location was good if you are looking to hit the full moon party. short walk to Haad Rin beach, although the hills are no joke. Haad Rin is also not impressive if you are looking for a beautiful beach. overall, Cocohut is a great place and we would stay there again.

Family friendly hotel

Great resort. We took a huge room with a shared private pool. Very nice and clean. The ataff is the highlight here. So family orientated so caring. Always looked after our kids and took care of them. Excellent family hotel and nice atmosphere. A special thanks to Tiki who was amazing. From the second we got there she was looking after our 4 month yo baby and 2 yo son. So nice and caring. We loved her so much we even asked her if she could babysit during the evenings after she finishes work and she happily agreed so that was great and allowed us to go out and have some quiet romantic time without the kids. We felt totally comfortable having Tili take care of the kids and they liked her very much. Cocohut is definitely one of the most family friendly hotels that we have been to. The only con I can think of is that the water in the beach is dirty and has alot of rocks so not very fun to swim in.

Nice hotel close to Full Moon parties

Spent 5 nights in a cliff bungalow. First bungalow was disappointing, asked for a change and received another one with better view. Staff hardly understands English.
Keep in mind the town is 6-7 min walk over a little hill, where you can find 7-eleven, atms, massage, restaurants. We ate 2 times in town, regretted both. Cocohut runs a cheap and very good restaurant, main meals come around THB150 all-in, most of the time we ate here.
Beach is nice, but could be rocky in the afternoon due to sea currents.
Mosquitos come 1-2 min after sunset, take the repellent to the beach with you!!!
Hotel has many Israeli and Chinese guests who usually forget they are not alone on the beach: shout loudly and even take your beds if necessary.
Breakfast is average, there is always shakshouka and one thai meal on a revolving basis. Fresh fruit is always reloaded.

Great stay!

Great location on Leela Beach; within walking distance to Sunset Beach and secluded enough to get away from the crowds. Facilities were great especially the fitness center and pool. Wonderful breakfast buffet that has a wide variety of choices. This is a great hotel for couples or families. We would definitely recommend staying at Cocohut Village when visiting Koh Phangan!

A Gem!

We stayed 4 nights in Koh Phangnan and our resort was lovely! A short taxi drive from the pier the hotel is at the end of the island so very quiet. We stayed in the bungalows - it was just the right size and the resort is so close to the beach and restaurants.

Air condition was very noisy.

Peaceful place on Phangan

Great place on quiet side of Haad Rin and just a short walk to sunrise beach. The biggest drawback is the beach/ocean is not swimmable; it's shallow and still with sharp rocks. Otherwise it's a great place! The rooms on the hill are large and detached so there was no noise. The staff were super nice and helpful, breakfast was good and the place was clean and grounds were kept.

At first we stayed at a room called cliff bungalow. The view was amazing and the room was nice but the mattress too soft and the shiwer too small. Than we upgraded to a suite and its superb!
Anyway, the environment, the pool and the beach are beautiful and the staff are so nice and helpful that it makes the stay just perfect.

Although we were only here for one night our stay was excellent. The room was beautiful, staff was very helpful, and the shuttle from Had Rin Pier was included making our arrival and departure a breeze. The beach was not huge, but it was private and easily accessible. The pool was warm and very nice too. There is a bar always open, and the food at the restaurant was delicious and very reasonably priced. I wish we would have stayed longer here!!!

Decent hotel but could be better

This resort has the ability to be a fantastic resort but it lacks a lot of attention to detail. It has a great pool and is right on the beach, and is no more than 5 minutes walk to haad drin. Our room had a great view on one of mountain bungalows, our main issue was prob the staff. I felt the service was lacking especially in the restraurant, there were more than one occassion where we had to get menus ourselves and had to prompt the staff to serve us. The food was good and very reasonable so it was worth the poor service in some instances.

There were also old building material lying near our room that wasn't cleaned up. It's a nice resort but could be a really top place to stay if a few small arears were improved upon.

This resort was a real treat! I enjoyed everything about this, the location was quiet compared to other hotels near the party but still walking distance to the clubs. We had the most amazing dinner there and the beach/pool was incredible. Not to mention the HUGE rooms we had! I would love to stay here again!

Amazing hotel! 5 minute walk to full moon beach and shops. We stayed in a poolside villa which was very reasonably priced considering how big and amazing our room was. The staff were so friendly and helped with all of our needs. Free WiFi at reception/restaurant/pool. The food at the hotel was excellent quality and always fresh. There are 2 pools and 2 bars (which make amazing cocktails), and also has its own private beach with volleyball net. The hotel also has an amazing massage/spa which is a little more expensive than some of the cheaper massage places in Thailand, but definitely worth it. Really it is suitable for everyone. We will definitely be staying their again next time we are in koh phangan.

We booked the cocohut for 7nights, not really knowing what to expect. We were collected from the ferry and broyght to hotel. Was so much more than we expected. We had a cliff bungalow - beautiful views, the rooms were fab and very well furnished. Also had a safety deposit box in the room. Free wifi down in the common areas which was great. The spa was excellent. The hotel food was nice, breakfasts were great - really set you up for the day. Very close to the town a two min walk. Great night life expecially around full/half moon. Very friendly and helpful staff.

The location is great for Full Moon parties a 5 minute walk, but far enough away you can sleep. Unbeknown to us it also includes pickup and drop off at the pier back to Koh Samui.

I also highly recommend the spa: reasonably priced and you can get a foot massage while looking out over the ocean.

Sehr schöne Anlage und top Service, durchgängig sehr nettes Personal.
Das Frühstück ist gut und ok, aber kein Highlight.
Der zugehörige Strand und Strandbar gehört zu den schönsten auf ganz Koh Phangan, absolut top. Der Skymoon Pool bietet einen perfekten Blick auf den Haad Rin Beach. Die Skymoon Suite ist super, am Abend kann man direkt auf den lebhaften Haad Rin Beach schauen und hört bis in die Nacht hinein die Musik. Wir fanden es toll, wer allerdings am Abend Ruhe möchte, sollte einen Bungalow auf der anderen Seite der Anlage wählen. Wir kommen gerne wieder zurück.

Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt. Schon beim Check-in war die Rezeption äußerst freundlich, und es wurden gleich WhatsApp-Nummern ausgetauscht, was die Kommunikation sehr einfach machte.

Unser Zimmer lag in den oberen Etagen und hatte einen privaten Pool – ein echtes Highlight! Das Zimmer war sauber, das Bett sehr bequem und das Badezimmer geräumig und gepflegt. Jeden Tag wurde gefragt, ob das Zimmer gereinigt werden soll. Es gab täglich frisches Wasser und frische Handtücher, was wir sehr geschätzt haben.

Das Frühstück war zwar recht einfach – keine Wurst oder Käse – aber es war lecker und wir wurden immer satt.

Der Shuttle-Service funktionierte einwandfrei und fuhr uns stets zeitnah. Auch den Roller konnten wir direkt im Hotel für 350 Baht pro Tag mieten – unkompliziert und problemlos.

Der Check-out war bestens organisiert: Wir wurden direkt zum Haad Rin Pier gebracht, und die Tickets für das Speedboot wurden ebenfalls vom Hotel organisiert.

Alles in allem ein rundum gelungener Aufenthalt – wir würden dieses Hotel auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

Gutes Hotel für Kurztripp

Wir können das Hotel weiterempfehlen. Hotel an guter Lage an wunderschönem Beach mit sehr nettem Personal. Gleich ums Eck kann man günstig Motorräder mieten für die Inselbesichtigung. Das Essen war immer lecker und es gibt ein reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet. Es hat für jeden etwas. Bei der Poolbar sowie im Restaurant sollte einzig mehr auf die Hygiene geachtet werden (schneller abräumen und mit Mittel den Tisch putzen, sowie sollte man langsam die Menükarten erneuern - recht schmuddelig. Aber im grossen und ganzen gefiel es uns sehr gut. Auch die Poolanlage ist toll. Zimmer sind super und auch die Transfer zum Haad Rin Pier funktionierten einwandfrei.

Hyggeligt, men slidt..

Hotellets beliggenhed er helt perfekt og meget hyggeligt - ned til en fin strand (så længe det ikke er højvandet), tæt på by, tilpas væk fra larm. Personalet er super søde og hjælpsomme - vi havde en tidlig check-ud tid, og der sørgede de for at lave morgenmad to-go. Rengøring var noget kritisabel, både i sin helhed og på værelset - pool og boblebad var fyldt med insekter og sand (hvilket ikke blev ordnet under vores ophold) - der blev ikke ordnet på balkonen, der hørte til værelset - f.eks. blev askebæger ikke tømt nogen af de tre dage vi opholdt os på stedet. Stedet bærer præg af at være temmelig slidt. Morgenbuffeten er åben fra 8.00-10.00, hvilket er et rimeligt kort tidsrum at servere for 79 værelser. Alt i alt havde vi er fint og hyggeligt ophold, men billederne er helt ikke retvisende.
