First impressions were not the best, room wasn't ready for guests.
It took me a day to settle down.
Was over priced.
The beach is not very useful. Tide comes all the way up, no beach chairs or towels.
Staff was great, very helpful.
Breakfast was good.

Amazing spot, close to everything but tucked away and quiet. The beach was steps from our door, could sit on the porch and see the ocean and hear the waves. Beautiful jungle garden setting. Pool next door was gorgeous and so warm! Breakfast was fantastic. Helpful staff, so happy we stayed here!!

Great location and setting. 30 seconds and you are on the beach and then 5-10 mins you can get to head rin beach for the full moon party experience. Breakfast was good and the pool was excellent. Lack of sun loungers but still very nice.

Shower was very basic but we had fresh towels every day.

I truly enjoyed my 3 nights at the Neptune’s Villa. I was impressed with how well the staff handled their work. They were very professional and friendly with their customers.

A short walk to the main drinking areas for the full moon parties.
Hotel helped arrange our forward journey.
Nice breakfast - not buffet. But was more than enough.
Room was clean - comfortable bed.
Pool closed at 8pm which was good.
Everyone who stays there is young - dont bother going there for a chilled stay.
But you knew that when you booked for the island.

Stay was fab, hotel is perfect. Nice and clean. Lovely pool area. Only slight criticism is the pillows on the bed they are very hard! Otherwise, all good! Only a short couple min walk away from full moon party but still far enough away not to hear everything! :-) Highly recommend

Like 2 different hotels, the bungalow part looks like a jungle, with small, not so comfy bungalows, the room part with the big pool view is a different story and is very nice, spacious rooms. Breakfast is very basic

This place must get pounded by the Full Moon Party people. There are restrictive rules everywhere reminding you how to behave like an adult. It's too bad they have to deal with this. I was there in the low season. However, the rules are the same. The pool closes too early, and it is not on the beach as Expedia might tell you. It IS on A beach, but not THE beach. It's not a swimming beach with amenities. You will have a 3km walk to Haad Rin beach. Not a big deal, but there are hotels there for $5 more that are right on the actual beach. The reception staff is really nice.

First and foremost, Neptune's Villa is a great bargain. We had an ocean view room with a huge balcony during the Full Moon Festival in peak season for about $100 per night, for 2 nights. For contrast, the fancy resorts cost upwards of $800 per night with a 5 night minimum. The pool area was nice, the restaurant served decent food, and the property is right off the beach and a pleasant 10 - 15 minute walk to the Full Moon Festival. Awesome.
Some of the negatives to be aware of:
* The hot water heater in the shower didn't work the entire time we were there, so it was cold showers the whole time. I didn't really mind because the AC didn't really work so the room was sweltering hot, but my wife wasn't happy about it.
* The AC was pretty ineffective, and since they require that it be completely off when you're not in the room it was never really a comfortable temperature.
* Staff weren't particularly friendly, and didn't go out of their way to help. That's fine - it's a great bargain so you shouldn't expect a lot in that department - however it bit us in the ass because we asked, on check-in, for them to arrange for a taxi for us on check-out to our ferry on the other side of the island. They agreed, and said to be in the lobby at 9am that morning. The cab never arrived, so we ended up having to eat the ferry tickets we'd purchased and buy some on a different boat. Not a catastrophe - we made our flight - but the front desk clerk was completely unsympathetic. So, 3 stars.

We've stayed at this hotel for over 3 weeks and our expectations based on Expedia's reviews were higher... First, the positive things: a lot of trees around, you feel like you're in the jungles; the stuff was most of the time nice and polite. The negative things are: room cleanness (we would rate it 5 out of 10), the soap dispenser was empty despite on the cleaning, needed to ask for it at the desk; not all towels were placed back after the cleaning (2 total towels, after cleaning it was only 1, but 2 beds and 2 people in the room) and a lot of other small things. Shower is very bad (almost no pressure). Location is disappointing as well, there is nothing to do in Haad Rin unless you're going to the Fullmoon Party (and staying at the hotel for 2 days) or you need a bike to go around the island. Breakfast is a disappointment as well, very limited and average tasting, almost no selection except eggs. Wouldn't stay there again!

We stayed for 2 nights and really enjoyed the hotel. Room was simple, but clean and comfortable. Very good breakfast included and nice pool. The staff was helpful and friendly! Location was truly perfect for attending full moon party, but want to be in a quieter area a short walk away.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Pool is nice and the dry cleaning service on the property was good too. Overall a nice place to stay. Very close to the pier and can easily rent a bike a few feet down from check in and zip all over the island.

Disapponting and Misrepresentation

The superior sea view room has slanted view of the room from the entrance outside. Bathroom are shabby, sheets not clean. Our slippers and sandals got stolen from outside the room. We had a medical emergency, had booked the ferry transfers, informed the hotel when the emergency happened and they were fully aware of the seriousness and still would not refund us the ferry fare.

Great Experience!

We arrived the day before our booking for the full moon party and there was no accommodation on the island, they let us store our baggage in a secure room and sleep in the foyer. The next day we were due to check in at 2 pm but there was an early check out and they prepared a room for us at 8 am. The carried out bags and only woke us when the room was ready. The staff were constantly helpful, smiling and efficient. This room was a good size. With excellent a/c. A lovely en suite and very clean throughout. Breakfast was perfect! Walking distance to full moon party and neighbouring clean, nice beaches. I would stay here again.

Completely Overpriced!!! Avoid!!!

Wanted to spend my last few days in Thailand in a nice place. Paid almost €500 to stay here for 3 nights. Paid for a sea view room which I did not get. When I complained, they completely ignored me and didn't try to solve the problem whatsoever, blamed me not getting the actual room I booked on an air con problem but were not willing to compensate me for this in any way. To make matters worse they never mentioned it or asked me how I was for the full 3 days. I was so annoyed by the experience. The room was clean but very basic. Nothing at all fancy. Pool is only standard. Places for half the price have just the same facilities. Will not be staying here ever again in the future and would not recommend it. Total rip off.

Stayed in the dorms. Nice bed, good airco. Every person gets a safe. The bathroom is next to the room so very easy. Good for Full Moon but you may share the room with drunk party kids! Pool and breakfast are nice. Had to book 3 days through the website but if you pop by the night of Full Moon, you can get a room for 1000 bath/1night.

The hotel was overally awesome. The cheap price allowed us young people to spend two nights at a great location with affordable costs. The hotel also attracts easy minded and relaxed travelers, which makes the athmosphere nice. Besides the hotel, the hotel pool was a great place to relax on some days. Hotel restaurant had a solid breakfast, although they were a little shy on the bacon, which was a shame because bacon is close to my hearth.

Great Option Near Haad Rin Beach

A friend and I stayed 4 nights at the Neptune and were very pleased with our stay. We stayed in the villa section which was very scenic with a great little balcony overlooking the tropical tree canopy. The room was a good size and although not new it was clean and the in-room safe was a nice amenity. The shower had a tankless heater and although pressure was low (common on the island I'm sure) it was adequate. The air conditioner was adequate, although it would shut off when the room was vacated so it frequently had to re-cool the room; the lowest temp it could reach was 23C/73F (in Jan). I only had the breakfast once, but it was good and the restaurant has a nice view. Laundry was available and very cheap (same price as local alternatives) with same day service. The pool was excellent...very clean and a large size (I actually preferred it to the beach). Finally, the staff was excellent with making suggestions and they even graciously arranged to ship a painting to me that I accidentally left by the desk. So, if you want a nice place to stay near Haad Rin beach that's a great value I would definitely recommend Neptune's Villa.

Solo getaway

I booked a bed in the dorm room, but was upgraded to a single bungalow. Overall, the stay was great! Very comfortable, great staff and beautiful calm view. I went in between moon parties so the environment was more calm (which I wanted). But if people are hoping for a yoga/cleanse type of get away checkout the northwest and/or southeast parts of the island. Wasn't aware this was located in the party area of the island. But Neptune does not have a party vibe. Great place!

Amazing place to stay in Haad Rin. Within walking distance of everything. A great place to stay if you want to go to the full moon parties but be able to leave for some quiet afterwards. The rooms were surprisingly large and offered a view of Haad Rin and the Sea. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was kept very clean.

Myself and a friend stayed in the superior rooms with a garden view for 3 nights around the full moon party. The premises were right on the haad rin sunset beach which was both peaceful and picturesque but also just a short walk away (5-10 minutes) from the sunrise beach which hosted the famour full moon party. Excellent value for money and a thoroughly enjoyable stay!

I am writing this review whilst sat on the balcony of the superior bungalow at Neptune on my final evening here.

Me and a friend travelled to koh phanghan from koh samui and originally intended to stay at Neptune for 5 nights, the hotel was so good that we decided to extend our stay by a further 6 nights.

The bungalows are in a very good state of repair with comfortable beds, decent air conditioning, television and a fridge. The bathrooms have a powerful hot shower with shampoo and shower gel provided. It has a fab balcony looking onto well maintained gardens and a path leading to a small beach. The rooms are cleaned everyday to an excellent standard and complimentary water is given everyday.

The service in the hotel is second to none. Very friendly attentative staff. One of the hotel staff Wika is fantastic and organises social events, travel to moon parties and gives great recommendations on places to eat etc.

Location is great, 5 minute walk from.the full moon party and close to the ferry port.

Stay here.

Neptune's Villas are conveniently located near the pier, near Haat Rin beach and on another beach. However, both beaches are disgusting and not somewhere you would want to spend any amount of time. Avoid Haat Rin unless for some reason you have decided to actually attend a Full Moon party, in which case you probably won't have an issue with this hotel. People in the town are rude and view you as an ATM. The actual room had many cracks that provided opportunities for mosquitos to enter. There was no closet and nowhere to hang up clothing. The key deposit is a very high 1000 baht. Throughout the night a cat kept making incredibly loud noises making a sound sleep impossible. Overall we were not impressed with our stay here.

Estuvimos en el hotel porque la oferta para la full moon party es reducida si se considera la relación costo/beneficio. En general el hotel está bien, muy buena ubicación si el objetivo es la fiesta, tiene una parte nueva que es donde está la piscina que está muy bien, nosotros nos hospedamos en el otro lado y a la habitación consideramos podrían hacerle ajustes que la harían más confortable. No ha dónde poner la ropa o la maleta, el espacio es estrecho y el baño no tiene donde colgar cosas, nisiquiera hay una división entre la ducha y el sanitario. El hotel es bonito, el desayuno 10 puntos, pero las habitaciones tienen oportunidades de mejora que podrían hacer de el una opción muy recomendable si se llegaran a implementar.

部屋はバンガロー形式だったが、今回は予約が遅かった為か、フロントに近いところだった。朝食はビュッフェ形式ではなく、４種類のメニューの選択制だった。又、ガーデンビューの部屋とプールはフロントから道を挟んだところだった。前のビーチは満潮時は泳げなかったので、ハードリンノックビーチに行きました。尚、周辺には食堂やコンビニもあり、特に不便なことはありませんでした。

Гостиница расположена неподалеку от причала, откуда отправляются лодки на соседний остров Самуи. Пляжа нет, только узкая полоса песка, на которой заметное количество битых стекол. Застройка отеля почти вплотную к воде, но никто в море не купается. На территории бассейн, и неплохой, есть зона джакузи, она помельче, подходит для детей от 5 лет. Отель состоит как из небольших вилл, так и корпуса в несколько этажей. На море выходят виллы, из корпуса вид на бассейн. Нам дали номер на первом этаже корпуса - очень темный, освещение тусклое, днем из окна света почти нет, т.к. засажено растениями. УЖАСНЫЕ пружинные матрасы на кроватях (ходят ходуном при малейшем движении), пододеяльников НЕТ, одеяла завернуты в 2 простыни - были в Бангкоке, в Краби, там нормальные пододеяльники, а тут какой-то бред!!! Холодильник крошечный, пол-арбуза можно положить только на бок, мороженое в морозилке растаяло. На семью из 4 человек дают 2 полотенца. В шкафу аж двое плечиков!!! Напор воды в душе отвратительный. В санузле замечены многоножки, небольшие и очень шустрые, могут забраться по ноге, если зазеваешься. Крайне неприятно. Завтрак - 4 не слишком отличающихся варианта на выбор, наесться можно, но ОЧЕНЬ однообразно, на 4-й день надоело. Цена за номер, считаю, очень завышена. Бассейн - да, территория ухоженная, к уборке нет претензий, но номер ужасен. И все время мимо номера по дорожке ходит персонал. И комары из-за тени даже днем у дверей вьются. Рядом кафе, магазинчики. Больше туда не поедем.

Hotel war im Großen und Ganzen in Ordnung - vor allem wenn man den günstigen Preis betrachtet.
Der Strand, der am Hotel ist bzw. Eigentlich direkt an den Zimmern ist zumindest in der Regenzeit nicht verwendbar und wird auch nicht gesäubert. Der nächste und saubere Strand befindet sich zu Fuß 7 min entfernt vom Hotel. Hotelanlage ist sehr grün und schön gestaltet, die Zimmer jedoch etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Des weiteren sind die Zimmer sehr hellhörig (man hört sogar die Personen Nachts an der Rezeption).
Für den Preis kann man jedoch über die Kritikpunkte hinwegsehen.

Frukosten var undermålig, trodde det var buffé. Inget pålägg, fick köpa till det ute på stan. Stranden som fanns vid hotellet var inte badbar. Rummen OK , fin altan. Vid flod var stranden obefintlig. 10 min promenad till fin strand. Fin och välskött trädgård. Trevlig personal serviceminded.

Prima hotel voor een fullmoon feest

Het hotel is prima voor een fullmoon party, maar om er verder te verblijven zou ik iets verder zoeken. Het heeft nagenoeg geen strand. De schoonmaak is buitengewoon goed, wij hadden onze backpacks uitgestort en alles wat er in zat was netjes opgevouwen en opgeruimd.

Vi bodde i bungalowerna och det var jätte mysigt. Inga störningar ifrån trafiken. Härlig balkong där man kunde sitta och se ner till havet. Stranden precis vid hotellet gick det inte och ligga vid men det tog bara 5-7 min att gå till andra sidan och där var en fantastisk strand med några serveringar precis nere vid stranden. God frukost! Skulle mycket gärna kunna åka tillbaka hit!

Otelin konumu çok güzel ama verilen paraya göre konfor biraz daha iyi olabilirdi. Yılbaşı olduğu için fiyat çok yüksek kalmıştı. Normal sezonda fiyatlar daha iyiyse kalınabilinir.

Great stay over hotel

This was a great hotel to stay in. Perfect if you're on your way to koh samui or back to Bangkok. Only 2 min walk away from night market.

When checking in they asked if I needed transport for airport. They arranged a bus for me for 150 bath. Can also take minivan or private car.

On my room there was a nice welcome card with my name a day when checking out I received a nice handwritten postcard.

The room itself was good enough. Comfortable bed. Good airco. WiFi great.

The only strange thing is that the toilet paper was right beneath the shower. Not the most ideal place.

God service, basseng og beliggenhet

Veldig greit sted, med god beliggenhet og et stort basseng. Dårlig dusj på rommet trekker ned (elendig sluk). Dårlig frokost - testet ikke ut restauranten ellers.

Gutes Hotel, war Fullmoon-Party dort, Party überall, Personal sehr freundlich, Zimmer Ok, Strand (naja) leider kein schöner (interessierte mich aber nicht). Zimmer zweckmäßig, Pool super, leider nur rauchen verboten.

It was just great, the hotel is conveniently located near to the jamaican bar, on the way to haad rin beach.
