Really enjoyable stay. So nice to stay right on the beach. Pool was lovely and very deep. Staff very friendly and work very hard to keep resort looking lovely. Location excellent - lots of restaurants, stores, markets in area to easily walk to.

The gym is large and well equipped. It is open air, so shade and ceiling fans but no a/c, so I found it very warm to work out. Likewise, the a/c in our room was very poor, more like a fan. So we were always warm in the room.

Other than the weekly Friday night beach party (which we could hear most of the night but weren't really bothered by it) the resort is quite quiet and peaceful. Overall, a great place!

Check In early to avoid water dripping music.

I checked in a bit late, got the key, drop my luggage and went out for diner and drink.
When I came back for sleeping I realized that the water in the bathroom was dripping and shower head was broken.
The morning after, I asked the lobby to fix those 2 problems, they did it and had a quiet night.

All of this to mention, the maintenance of the place is not very good, but when you ask them to repair stuff they will do it. I believe bad management but if you push people a bit they will do the job. Too bad that they are not pro active...

We enjoyed the check in process, staff were very helpful and kind. The property itself is situated on the beach with a beautiful view, however the beach is very rocky and you can’t walk on the sand without shoes. The room is very small but has great air conditioning.

The swimming in the beach (sea) is not comfortable, the water is shallow, and must to get into the water with sandals. We upgraded the room, and we found that they charge more than the prices in hotelsl.com.
There was no wifi reception in the room that close to the beach.

Lovely hotel and staff. Comfortable and clean with excellent A/C and a very nice family feel. I was there without kids and was working a lot on my laptop but really appreciated the warm energy. Run by a lovely couple and really just there is kindness and good vibes felt. Well located very close to beach, didn't use the pool but it was lovely. Would definitely recommend.

Needs maintenance, care and attention.

We recently just stayed here for our 4th time. It’s just not the great little place it used to be.

For the second year in a row we turned up to find out they had given our room to someone else. Two years ago they had to drive us to another resort, this year they put us up in a room we didn’t order for the first night. Very inconvenient and simply not apologetic.

The pool bar was not open, we questioned it and was told that the bar staff had recently quit - I don’t see how that’s paying guests problem? Especially when the bar is made such a big deal in pictures.

The resort used to be well lit at night, cater for half moon parties (paints and an atmosphere in
the main bar), this year - nothing.

The beach front used to have great furnishings and be very romantic. This year the sun loungers are torn, dirty, very rough to the touch - lots of things broken.

The rooms are mostly clean, but are currently not being well maintained - lots of staines, ripped wallpaper and broken equipment. Air conditioning was great.

They did pick us up from the pier free of charge, but then charged 100 baht to be dropped back to the pier. The check out is very odd due to timings, so we had to check out at 8pm the day before and then leave our key with the driver in the morning. Also - time limits on pool towels and daily key drop requests for room cleaning. All a little annoying.

This resort is the only place we kept returning to, it won’t happen again.
It’s such a shame.

Drain was plugged the entire time so our sink was overflowing during our stay. Had to brush our teeth outside the room. Asked them to take care of it numerous times and they didn't fix it

Good location. We rented a scooter and got there by a scooter. About 1.5km from the ferry terminal. Staff were nice. Pool was nice. Road into the resort has lots of pot holes so if it rains could be problems on the scooter. Room was a double bed and a single. Air con worked good. No fridge to keep our water cold. Holes around the windows and doors allowed bugs and cockroaches inside. We puchased tape and bug spray and bug candles so we used them and taped them up at night. The gaps are the biggest problems with this place. I think we had a cheaper room as other did not look as bad. But we came home one day to large coackroach and it escaped under the door back outside. Travel with tape and spray and should be ok. Also holes in roof allowed bugs in. Apart from that was ok. Not busy so was nice and quiet and peaceful. Could swim in pool or kids play on beach. Very safe beach. No fridge.and no TV.

Our stay here was great! The food was awesome and our room was great. Our A/C broke down in the middle of the night and they fixed it first thing. It was so cold after that we had our turn it down.
Great service with a lot of amenities
Scooters were in great shape also for rental

lovely Hotel, with very friendly staff

My Friend and I went in March for a last minute holiday for 10 days.

The resort was lovely. Was a perfect location and close to many of the things we wanted to do.
The hotel was great. Very clean and a perfect set up. The staff were so helpful and friendly. We ate and drank there most days and the food was freshly cooked and very tasty.
Will 100% be coming back to stay here. Have already recommended my parents to stay here.

I ARRIVED AND THE HOTEL COULD NOT FIND MY BOOKING. AFTER A LONG WAIT AND AFTER CONTACT WITH EXPEDIA THEY CONFIRMED SOMETHING W ENT WRONG FROM THE Expecia or SABAII SIDE. THE HOTEL WAS FULLY BOOKED SO THEYTOOK THE EFFORT TO BRING ME TO ANOTHER HOTEL. THIS WAS NICE OF THEM. BUT THE MISTAKE IS OFCOURSE TERRIBLY ANNOYING.
I HAVE SENT A COMPLAINT LETTER TO Expedia.co.th
But I never received an answer. This is even more disappointing.
SO I WOULD LIKE TO RECEIVE AN ANSWER ABOUT WHAT WENT WRONG WITH MY BOOKING.

Mai and Per where very friendly. The place is very relaxing and calm. Great swimming pool practically on the beach. Very good restaurant - tasty, fast and veriety. We stayed in the poolside bungalow which is very comfortable and looks like recently redecorated. Recommended.

Full moon party week

Such an incredible and well thought out resort. Although, we did stay during the full moon party, its the key location to everything on the island. We rented a motorbike, asked for beach locations, places to eat and places to go, and \"Darling\", owner of the resort, gave us some incredible spots to go to. We really connected with the family and it really felt like staying \"home\". The room was great and 2m from the pool, 15 m from the beach, and 2m from the reception/kitchen/movie house. It was a real treat to stay at this resort.

Comfortable room with lovely staff

The hotel staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful. The food was of a good standard and the pool was great. We had a superior bungalow which was fairly basic but clean. The rooms don't have a safe but you can store your belongings safely at reception if you need to. Overall a comfortable stay with great staff.

OK hotel

My two friends and I stayed for only one night at this hotel, the room was small for the three of us. I guess its more suitable for couples. we didnt like the room so much since the door was big and see-through and the curtains didnt cover the entire door, so we had to find a good spot to change clothes. also it was very humid in the room even though the air conditioning was on.
the hotel is kind of isolated, its not that far from everything but you do need a ride in order to get out of the hotel area, since there were big ponds because of the rain which made it hard to pass.
the hotel restaurant is AMAZING! very good dishes, not expensive and very delicious !

I dont think I would come back but its really an O.K hotel.

A Great Overall Experience

Great stay overall for a great price. Bungalows were small but comfortable and clean. Shower is combined with toilet and a bit dated but this is very typical in Asia. Staff was the most hospitable that we've encountered all trip. The pool is gorgeous and looks out onto the beach. Located right across a supermarket and tons of little restaurants and bars near it. Only a 20 min walk to Thong Sala Pier and the night market which is right by the pier. Overall great experience, would go back and do recommend a stay !

Cool staff and island feel

A nice resort near the beach. The beach is not that great, and the rooms are very basic. But the staff is great and welcoming, the lobby /restaurant /gathering area is very nice and has this old style island beach feel to it, the food is good, it's a short driving distance from pretty much everywhere in the island, and overall we had a good time in this resort.

Decent beachfront accommodation for the price

Overall we had an enjoyable stay. For the price we paid as a budget option, we were pleased with our location on the beach. The rooms were setup like beach huts. The size was good, and Internet worked alright. However we did have an issue with the breaker tripping. Fortunately we were easily able to resist it. But there was only one outlet to plug electronics in, which is often what tripped it. But you're in Koh phangan on a remote island, no need to stress the electronics. There were plenty of places to power up if needed in the restaurant/lobby area. It was a family run establishment and the staff were friendly. Breakfast was pretty good for the price, but wasn't a fan of their pad Thai dish. The best thing about the resort was probably the pool area, the biggest complaint was probably that it was a little bit of a walk from the road with restaurants and stores, but if you rented scooters like we did, it wasn't an issue. However lacking a refrigerator in the room meant bringing your own food and drinks back wasn't very feasible.

Expected better..

After 2 weeks of hostels, I booked myself in for 4 nights here as a short treat. Superior / Deluxe bungalow differences weren't clarified on-line, so I booked the latter. Upon check-in, I asked the same, and was ignored.
The room was clean, but mosquito-infested, with the odd gecko. I'm sure they could use filler to reduce the number of cracks in the rustic concrete bungalow.
Staff are great, polite and very helpful. The hotel is family-run, and it was lovely to see their own kids running around the grounds. It was NOT nice however, to be constantly brushed past one of their 3 dogs, which would also walk around the lobby/restaurant all day long. Not great when you're attempting to have a peaceful dinner.
The pool is simply OK. Not enough chairs around the small pool to go round, so get in early (hotel was only at about 75% capacity when I went in July). On a plus, after my first night (of mosquito misery) reception allowed me to move to a (cheaper) hotel room. Heaven compared with the bungalow, but no form of recompense was ever hinted by the staff. Would've been nice.
Restaurant food was good. Immediate area is sparse. The 'beach-front' was pants (I don't blame the hotel!) One last thing, the walk to the hotel from the main road is uneven, barely marked, and DARK. I got totally lost on my first night after venturing out for drinks, nearly breaking a toe and getting startled by the buzzing, whistling and crackling around me.

Sadly, definitely nothing special.

The Grounds Are Great, but Rooms Just OK

The grounds here are really, really nice. The pool was great and so relaxing. The place is right on the beach, which is convenient, though this is not the best beach for swimming since it's really rocky and not very deep unless you go way far out. The dining area is set really nice and is a good place to congregate and use wifi as well. Food is ecellent and decently priced. The staff is lovely and the friendliest I've seen in Koh Phangnan by far. The big drawback, however, are the rooms themselves. I stayed in 2 different rooms because I booked an extra night while there. The 1st room was super small, but the bathroom was set up alright with a decent hot shower, so I got over it. The next room was an upgrade and though the room was super nice with a porch, the bathroom ended up being subpar! In fact, the shower had no shower curtain! haha, just basically a hose with a shower nozzle and a drain in the corner of the bathroom. It was just one night so I got over it, but I imagine flooding my bathroom every night of my stay would get old. I really found that bizarre for such a nice room, but c'est la vie in Thailand. Regardless, I would definitely stay here again.

Simple and close to the beach

We chose the budget bungalow and loved it. Our neighbors got run out by Mosquitos though so if these little buggers bother you a step up might suit you better. Really appreciated walking out the door onto the beach. Nice sunsets in the evening. 5 min walk from a grocery store and coin-op laundry. Owners and staff very friendly. Restaurant was both reasonable and tasty.

Absolutely loved my stay here, staff are friendly, food was good, close to party areas. If your not a partier stick away from this area when full moon/half moon parties are on as the bar here has great pre drinks, and bar staff are awesome so it's a bit loud. Water didn't work a few times over the stay but the owner gave us free wine to compensate. Awesome place to stay!

Fantastic location, amazing staff

We had high expectations on arriving at Sabaii Bay and they were succeeded throughout our weeks stay! The welcome from the staff, especially Nam was wonderful! Throughout the week no favour was too much and they were so accommodating. The hotel restaurant was amazing, some of the best food I'd had during my 5 weeks in Thailand! The infinity pool looking onto the beach was just something else, magnificent views and watching the sunset was bliss! We stayed in a 5 bed bungalow, lots of room, bathroom was spacious and clean and the beds were comfy and well presented!
The hotel can arrange anything for you, from tickets and travel to parties to elephant trekking, snorkelling and diving! Would 100% come back to this hotel in the future and I would recommend it to anyone!!

Destination beaches like Haad Salad or Mae Haad or Thong Nai Pan is where it's at ( if you want a relaxing beach holiday)

PERFECT - Only ever stay here when in Koh Phagnan

This is the 2nd time this year that we have stayed here, both times were excellent. The beach setting is just perfect and so pretty with hammocks and tree swings. They have a fabulous swimming pool and the food from the restaurant is excellent. The staff are very friendly and funny and the owners are such nice people, they remembered us from February this year and they go out of their way to ensure you enjoy your stay. They have on both occasions come to see us off when we leave with smiles and hugs. Love this place would not stay anywhere else.

It was ok. Nothing special. It's not a Hotel-Chain so there are Standards missing. You can see, everything is a bit crafted. The executions and a lot of details are not taken care of. The Reception guy is not friendly. As a Guest you have always leave deposit. Pool Towel and Shower towel it's all the same. You have to use the shower towel for pool and if you want an additional Towel you need to give them a deposit?! Otherwise you need to change it for a shower towel... they mix shower towel and pool towel, no difference. Eventhough the towels were clean and smelled fresh, for me it's a detail of hygiene to differenciate pool and shower towels - it's common sense regarding hygiene. Also as a guet you need to give a deposit if you want a gym towel 100Bath.

The accomodation was nice but not exclusive. It's new in the first impression but then you take a look closer and everything is wabbely... a lot of details are not taken properly care of. No phone in the accomodation to reach Reception...

All in all it's an OK Experience. You are not gonna be saying on a \"bad\" place. But a lot of details are missing, details which let the guest feel understand, welcome, wanted and which makes the experience pleasent. You always have something \"missing\" or something you wish you had because it's missing... reception closed at 9pm.. ?!
It's like the owner make themself a really easy life... and it shows by the missing details. But all in all it was okay. 2.75/5

In many ways a lovely resort with many amenities but it is quite deteriorated. I stayed in a small 3 bed room. It cannot in any way be recommended to more than one person and only for sleeping in for 1-2 nights. But for that it was fine. The fan in the bathroom makes the bathroom smell, the door can’t close, and there are holes in the shower to the outside so I get 5+ mosquito bites every night.

The location is lovely and the beach is gorgeous. The personnel are 3/5 friendly. The resort has own cats and a dog that are very cute and friendly.

The gym is good and so is the pool and beach bar area. If I had stayed in a bungalow I think my stay would have been a lot better, but that is a whole different price.

This review is only this good because I didn’t pay a lot.

Dieses Resort können wir sehr gerne weiterempfehlen. Wir waren vier Tage - fünf Nächste dort und haben uns wie Zuhause gefühlt. Von der Inhaberin bis über allen Mitarbeitern waren wirklich alle sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer waren super und die Nähe zum Strand waren einzigartig. Der Service und das Essen waren fabelhaft. Wir kommen wieder. Vielen Dank für alles.

Fangen wir mal an mit der Zufahrt: die Strasse zum Resort ist schlimmer als in ein Jungle Camp. Reception wenn sie nicht riesig angeschrieben wäre würde man sie kaum finden. Personal hat kein Interesse an Gastfreundlichkeit und es ist ihnen alles egal. Zum Zimmer leider nicht sauber der Müll vom Vorgänger war noch im Eimer und es wurde kaum gereinigt. Save defekt, Dusche kaum zum gebrauchen, Balkontüre nicht abschliessbar, keine Wasser im Zimmer und Zimmer werden nicht Täglich gereinigt.

God værdi for pengene

Fandt stedet med kort varsel og i lavsæson derfor måske ikke helt oppe i gear men prisen i forhold til en overnatning var meget rimelig. Hvis ikke man bruger hotels.com eller kender stedet fra andre vil man ikke finde det da det ligger ned af en grus vej godt gemt væk. Meget larm om natten og fra personalet men igen dejligt sted til prisen.

Trevligt boende, lugnt o skönt. Tyvärr var poolbaren stängd. Och man fick inte ta med sig drickan man köpte i receptionen, till poolen....! Vi, 2 vuxna och 2 barn på 7 och 10 år hade det kanon. Men minus för att man inte kunde bada i havet. (Men det visste vi.)

- Zimmer wird für 3 Personen angeboten , aber es gibt nur 2 Stühle und 1 Sonnenliege auf der Terrasse (sind wohl defekt)
- Frühstück zu teuer und man bezahlt alles einzeln, kein Buffet
- Strand wird nicht gereinigt
- Pool zu klein, wenn komplett ausgebucht
- Zimmer schon abgewohnt
- Zimmer Reinigung eher mangelhaft

Glimrende Lille boutique hotel. Vi have et værelse på 1. Sal - en smule slidt, men pænt, stille og komfortabelt.

Acceuil un peu juste, belle piscine

Plage pas trop adaptée à la baignade pour les enfants. Belle piscine et on peut trouver à manger juste en sortant vers la route. Le magasin big C market (ex Casino) est bien fourni et moins cher même que 7/11. Sinon il faut aller vers Thong sala où il y a plein de choses mais il faut etre véhiculé. Wir hatten den Honeymoon-Bungalow und der ist ein Traum. Riesig, sehr bequemes großes Bett, ein tolles Bad und alles sauber. Auf der großen Terasse hat man fast den ganzen Tag Schatten und einen unheimlich schönen Ausblick. Das Meer ist leider nur bei Flut zum Baden geeignet weil es sehr flach ist. Aber man hat einen schönen Pool. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir kommen gerne wieder

Fin strand men bra pool. Dock fick vi inte det rummet som vi skulle haft första natten utan vi fick ett sämre blev inte kompenserade för det mer än rumsprisets skillnad trots att vi var tvugna att packa om o allt igen. Personalen var inte så serviceminded dock fanns det undantag.

Resort met prima zwembad,genoeg ligstoelen. Strandje netjes met schommel/paar ligbedden/schommelbank en hangmat. Bij ingang van resort een zeer rommelige entree.
Veel oude troep rondom, tuin wordt netjes onderhouden. Leuke huisjes in de tuin,tot aan het strand voor logies.

Bien pour pas trop longtemps

Situé près de la ville, ce qui peut être pratique pour les courses - si l'on ne veut pas manger au restaurant où tout est quand même un peu cher - mais à l'écart au bord d'une plage avec peu d'eau, sauf à franchir la partie rochers dans l'eau.

Wir waren im Deluxe Doppelzimmer und das Zimmer an sich war sehr Sauber und die betten extrem gemütlich. Im Bad hat es allerdings etwas gestunken.
Der Pool ist leider ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen und das Wasser wurde offensichtlich auch nicht gut gefiltert.
Das Resort hat riesen Potenzial aus dem leider nicht viel gemacht wird.
Gibt bessere Resorts auf der Insel zu den Preisen.

Décevant et ne justifie pas le prix

Nous avons pris un bungalow de luxe pour 2 nuits. Il ne faut pas se fier aux photos, la chambre était trés petite (pas la place pour ouvrir une valise sauf sur le lit). La petite fenêtre à l'arrière donnait sur un tas de gravats. L'évacuation d'eau dans la sbd refoulait; on a du retirer le tas de cheveux (et autres) qui obstruait. Pour la première fois dans un hôtel, il a fallu que j'aille réclamer du papier toilette. Entre 2 nuits, le ménage n'est pas fait et les serviettes ne sont pas changées. Si l'accueil se veut chaleureux ne pas s'y fier (on a parfois l'impression de gêner). A l'arrivée, en plus de la copie du passeport, on vous demande une caution en cash (les 3 hôtels précédents n'ont demandé aucune caution). Si vous louez un scooter et malgré le fait que vous restez plusieurs nuits, on vous demande votre passeport comme chez tout loueur. Si vous emprunter une serviette de plage il faut le noter sur un cahier et renoter pour tout remplacement. La piscine (ouverte de 9h30 à 20h00) n'est pas en bon état (manque de carrelage à certains endroits); vous pouvez facilement vous érafler. Les transats sont pour le moins sales. La nourriture était bonne mais le petit-déjeuner peut vous revenir cher (tout renouvellement de boisson (café ou thé) est facturé). La plage (pas trés propre) n'a pas de profondeur. Le seul plus de cet hôtel est la vue sur le coucher de soleil.
