We are \"stuck\" here for an extra 2 days due to the Kona stirm. Staff have been exceedingy patient and friendly and accommodating during this challenging peroid. They even got me to the local emergency room for treatment of an acute injury. Our room was gorgeous!

There’s really only four or five things to do on the island outside of the resort. But that’s exactly what we were looking for.

“Dinner Under the Stars” was probably a top 10 lifetime experience. I highly recommend checking that out.

I was very disappointed to see how they still keep birds in cages in a property that sells itself for being \"ECO\". I would urge them to stop this cruel practice. Other than that, this is a wonderful property. I am still waiting for them to release a hold on my credit card for the full amount of my stay, amount that I already had paid in full through Expedia!!

This is my most favorite place to vacation in the entire world! I’ve been coming since I was a teenager (I’m in my 40s now) and the staff and property are the best I have found. The island is perfect for a less commercial but active and restful vacation. The snorkeling off the beach is fabulous!

If you’d like the trip of a lifetime, this is your place. I’m the type of person that can hardly keep still so Lanai has a plethora of activities that provide for the fund and competitiveness that I truly enjoy. We would wake up with sunrise yoga and then go boating activity or golf in the afternoon. I. We’ll certainly be back soon enough. Perhaps I need to finally get married and have a kid just so I can have a baby moon out here

The property is everything and more that you would expect from a Four Seasons Resort. From the beautiful grounds, to the very attentive staff, to the warm and soothing weather, our experience was everything we thought it might be and more. Definitely will return. And, not to be forgotten, was the food. Lovely dinner at the One Forty and then dinner the next night at Nobu at Sensei. We could not have been more pleased with our experience.

This property has lush, beautiful vegetation with tropical orchids growing in the trees. There is a beautiful, wide beach with staff setting up lounge chairs and providing cooling drinks. There are great restaurants with gorgeous views - very relaxing. The swimming pools are VERY small and not conducive to swimming or sitting around.

From the moment we landed in Lana’i we were greeted by welcoming Four Seasons Ambassadors. It was a short shuttle ride to the breathtaking resort. We were welcomed by a Ukulele player, a wet washcloth, a Hawaiin lei and a fruit beverage. Since there was a group arriving with us, Flora told us she would get us checked in. Within a few minutes we had our wristband key and she even took us to our room. The room was beautiful and the view was amazing. There was high tech lighting and automation of the shades to create various atmospheres. We had an espresso machine, hot water pot and refrigerator. That was nice because many high end hotels want you to order room service even for coffee.
We enjoyed the restaurant 140 and the more casual sports bar restaurant. Nobu was disappointing. The restaurant at the golf course is a must do. The food was delicious and the view amazing.
The gym is well equipped with a great view overlooking the ocean. I took advantage of yoga every morning. The studio is beautiful and the lawn where we had a session one morning was great. Yoga classes are offered all day and they were free. I did pay to take an Aerial yoga class which I highly recommend.
There is a free shuttle into Lana’i City but do make reservations. There are a few shops and an art hall. Super friendly people! Since we did not eat in town, we only spent an hour there.

This exceptional upscale resort has recently reopened after an extensive and amazing remodel. We were last there 10 years ago and it was wonderful then. The \"new\" facilities and grounds are beyond beautiful. There is not one thing I would change. Separate pools for families with children, and adults, landscaping has a jungle feel, complete with Uncle Bruno's birds that are people friendly. Many activities to choose from off site. Sports Bar, pool side café, & 2 restaurants are pricey but great food.

First class hotel near the beach

We had an amazing stay at the Four Seasons in Lana'i. It was our honeymoon so we wanted something a litttle more special that the usual Maui hotels. Let me say that's exactly what we got. They treated us so well! They picked us up from the harbour when we arrived on the ferry and when we got to our room and was welcomed by a bottle of champagne and chocolate strawberries. We rented a jeep from them and was able to explore the island a little more. I highly recommend doing this and checking out Garden of the Gods and Shipwreck beach. My husband went out fishing on the catamaran one afternoon and had a great time. I got a massage and it was so wonderful and relaxing. They have iPads in the room so you can view and book every detail of your trip through there or text them and they will take care of it for you. The beach was a short walk down from the pool. I was amazed how quiet it was there, even at the pool. If you're looking to relax and get away from all the action and kids running around this is the place to do it. We were so sad to leave but promised ourselves we would come back someday! Highly recommend checking this place out.

Vacation Perfection at the Four Seasons Lanai

Four Seasons Lanai is a remarkable hotel. Exceptionally nice room, public areas, and grounds. The renovation is truly spectacular. Their service is perfect, from the initial airport shuttle, through hotel arrival, restaurants, housekeeping, pool and beach staff, even the landscapers, all the way to the shuttle at departure. All four restaurants are great. And of course the resort is immediately adjacent to one of the world's best beaches.

Just finished up a birthday/babymoon at the Four Seasons Lanai. It was our 2nd stay there (the first was for our honeymoon about 18 months ago). Saying that it’s a special place doesn’t nearly do it justice. We absolutely LOVE everything about it. The island is a pristine paradise of adventure. The resort is beyond baller. Paired together it’s like Jurassic Park for the adventurous & affluent clientele that travel from all over the world to experience. Top notch everything- a special locally sourced menu at their Nobu, local axis deer venison burger at the sports bar, frozen caramel dipped bananas poolside, 100% Kona peaberry coffee French press to start the day. We have partaken in a snorkel + sail catamaran trip, scuba dive trip around the island, UTV guided tour of the mountains, clay shooting course + archery range in the mountains at their lodge, a sunset catamaran cocktail cruise, snorkeled right off the beach at the resort, and even spearfished a pristine part of their coast w/ some local guides. All this in a total of 10 days, and there’s an even longer list of things that we’ve not yet experienced. It’s also the ultimate relaxation resort w/ exotic birds that speak “Aloha” with beauty at every turn. The rooms are amazing, and each feature a robotic toilet- trust me, it’s worth the awkward mention. Book your stay and you will appreciate every minute of it.

Difficult to value when so costly

Beautiful room with a incredible view but at a cost 3 times of any similar rooms I may have stayed at in the past. Hopefully we can afford to come again in the future. If what slightly less expensive we could and would visit more often. The people who worked the resort were great. I was not as impressed by two onsite restaurants; 140 and Nobu particularly for dinner. The Malibu Farms menu for lunch by the pool was our least favorite. We did enjoy The View restaurant for lunch at the Golf Course. The breakfast buffet at 140 restaurant was really good and expensive at $52 each. I guess I do not need to keep harping on the price but expectations are high based on value and I do not think our expectations were met. Still a great experience but as stated expected more.

There is not much to do on the island, which is okay if that is what you are going for, but there are places to explore and some activities, but this destination is mostly to just relax and enjoy

Fabulous resort right on the beach

Four Seasons Resort in Lana'i is a true piece of paradise. The whole property is filled with tropical plants, flowers, and water falls. It sits right on the beach, the ocean view from the resort is amazing. The most romantic sightseeing spot - Sweetheart Rock is only a ten minutes hike away from the resort. The resort stuff are super helpful and friendly. We totally enjoyed our stay there.

Service quality is not so high at the price

Based on my life experience of resort visiting, this resort was one of the lowest quality hotels and the price is not matched with what they served to us such as below.
-Staff is very kind to us, but internal communication is very bad and even if I asked them something, that requests or inquiries were not shared internally and needed ask them again and again. Also, sometimes they forgot my requests.
-Hotel facilities are not satisfied level. Water is leaking easily to the bathroom floor and the shower head is too heavy and easily get hot, so it almost to hurt my 2 years daughter.
-I think it was raining at the day, but I could not enter the room until 3:30pm, waiting for checking in for 4 hours at lobby without any care.
-If the child is 5 years or less, child meal is not charged usually at four seasons hotel, but due to not trained staff it was charged twice.
-When our flight was canceled due to bad weather and coming back to the hotel, the staff came to me and said welcome and start to explain hotel overview despite of the fact we took their mandatory expensive shuttle service to come back to the hotel.
-There are no good restaurants there and no choices, so I needed to take that restaurants everyday and too expensive. Nobu restaurant is not real Japanese restaurant and it is American style Japanese which is not Japanese food any more.

So, especially for Japanese people who seek high end quality of the services, I do not recommend this hotel for you vacation. This was kin

World Class Hotel in a Perfect Setting

Fabulous hotel with a wonderful staff in a great location. While it’s not inexpensive, as someone who travels a good deal, and regularly stays at Four Seasons Resorts, Aman Hotels, and numerous independent Hotels of similar caliber I can highly recommend this hotel. That said, it “may” not be for everyone – although for the life of me, I can’t imagine why not.

If you are looking for nightlife like there is on Oahu or Maui, Lanai is not the place for you. If you are looking for a huge variety of food and various dining choices, the Four Seasons and Lanai are not for you. You are pretty much “locked into” eating at the hotel and a very few other restaurants on the island. Those are really the only reasons I think a reasonable person would not be completely satisfied at this hotel.

I hope I don’t leave you with the impression that food is substandard. It is not. After all, they have a Nobu on premise. If you have yet to eat at a Nobu, everything you have ever heard of it is correct. Fabulous food and service. The other restaurants are good as well – however after 8 days at the hotel we (primarily my non-seafood eating wife) were just looking for something a little different.

The location on Manle Bay leaves little to be desired. It’s a world class beach with an idyllic setting. There are no other hotels nearby (at all) so the setting as opposed to many other Hawaiian hotels is quite private and serene.

Finally, the rooms are fantastic as well.

Some improvements still being made while we were there, but we barely noticed. This place is paradise and a great place to go and decompress. Food and drinks 17.00 for mixed drinks-golf course has the best margarita (made with don Julio 1942) and pool side has the best ma tai all drinks and food made with top notch liquor and food and the service is second to none!. Golf course is amazing 325.00 for resort guests, 100.00 replay rate and sunsets nine at 3:00pm for 175.00 Not the place to go if you are looking for a budget vacation or nightlife, 45 minute ferry ride to Maui for some shopping, plan to stay the night in Maui if you want nightlife as last ferry leaves for Lanai at 5:45pm (way before action starts). You wont be disappointed!!!!

Amazing hotel, but shuttle is insane

Stayed here for 3 nights on our honeymoon from 10/25-10/28. Overall it was a good stay at a world class hotel in an amazing beachfront location. The grounds are impeccably maintained and the staff bends over backwards to ensure you are taken care of.

We had an issue with our room initially where we had a large tree blocking our room and were slightly unhappy with it; the staff, especially one of the managers named Eun was most accomodating in trying to help us find a better room and she ultimately did in order to make sure we were 100% satisfied. They seemed extremely genuine in wanting to make our stay more comfortable.

The only real gripe we had was with the shuttle service. It feels like you are being \"nickel and dimed\" after you paid such an exorbitant amount for the hotel already. The shuttle costs $45/person ONE WAY from the airport! That's an astronomically high price for a shuttle ride, when a cab ride on the island costs $10 to anywhere on the island. We took the shuttle to the hotel not knowing how crazy high it was, but then opted out of it on the way back to the airport. It was just a little insulting not to have a little bit more of an affordable ride, if not for FREE, especially at a high end hotel.

Overall, we had a great time, food and service was excellent (minus 1 night of terrible service at Nobu, but will not get into that here), view was top notch, and made for a memorable honeymoon.

Stayed four nights at the Manale. Beautiful resort, felt like we had the place to ourselves. Beautiful pool, beach with great amenities (free snorkel gear. Easy access to explore the rest of the island with regular shuttles. So relaxing, easy going. Pretty pricey for food and drinks but you are paying for the trip of a life time setting.

Manele Bay just keeps getting better and better! The staff is awesome...everyone knows your name and gets to know what you like and has it ready for you. The pool area is lovely and the pool is the perfect temperature! We try to come to Manele Bay every year or every other year because our husbands love the golf courses there! The hotel will be gorgeous when the renovations are done. That is the only drawback right now...the construction. We really didn't hear too much noise though.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights the end of May. The service was excellent! Everyone was very friendly and provided great service by the pool. The grounds were beautiful! There were ponds with coy and tropical flowers everywhere. It was very well kept! Definitely have lunch by the pool at Nobu. The fish was very fresh. We loved the poke! We will definitely be returning in the future!

Beautiful hotel, great beach.

The hotel is in excellent condition, but was under renovation when we arrived. From what I understand the planned additions should make the experience even more appealing for our next trip.

Luxury hotel, multiple activities, beautiful views

Several restaurants to dine, really nice sports bar with multiple tvs, pool tables, and shuffle board. Great workout facility. Gorgeous pool that is open 24 hours a day. Large room and comfortable. Staff (concierge, check-in/out, bellmen, and shuttle service) are all outstanding including restaurant staff. Hotel is gorgeous. Japanese restaurant - excellent. Definitely pay the 47.00 for the shuttle. You will definitely use. And when we were in a bind, because Island Air unknowingly changed our flight, the hotel helped pack us and got us to the airport by using an unscheduled shuttled bus. So grateful.

Negatives..... bed needs to be replaced - lumpy, rolls to center. Need a couch or couple of comfortable chairs vs. just one. TV reception poor. Multiple tv's in bar should show different games vs. all on one or two games - it was first come first serve. Bar service sometimes a little slow at pool, as well as towel service. Price should be about1/2 of what it costs for an ocean view. When we were there, it was about 30% full.

Great beach relaxation

For a purposeful beach resort this was great. All great activities encouraged by great staff. The height of relaxing when regular servings of drinks and other treats arrive all day long when you are sat at either the pool or the beach.

Unbelievable stay!! From beginning to end.

The staff at Manele Bay were GREAT!! The Resort as a whole was one of the best I've ever stayed at. The grounds at Manele Bay are beautiful and the staff is so friendly and catering. I had such a beautiful and peaceful experience while staying there.

Beautiful hotel, right on the beach.

Lovely hotel that will slowly (or quickly) max your credit card. The service is very good and all were friendly. Room was spacious and I really liked the free water and Nespresso. Nobu rolls were great and the ice cream sandwiches were really good. We will be back and explore more. Head up to the lodge and see the rusting cargo ship. Definitely come again.

vacation far from the crowds

The Four Seasons is a beautiful resort far from the usual crowds of Hawaii. The facilities are glorious and comfortable. It is a veritable paradise to wander around this resort, from the pool to the beach, from the vegetation to the fish lagoons etc., The food exquisite, every single bite.
Every staff person has a smile and a hello for you but don't be fooled that they actually care about your stay or concerns. Tipping changes that fairly quickly.
The spa services are excellent and I would recommend the massage by the beach.
The exercise facilities are very nice but the actual teachers of the various classes they offer are very poor teachers both in knowledge and delivery.
All in all, a lovely vacation if all your plans go well and if you don't have any problems.

Chillaxin to the max!

Great place to relax, unwind and get away. Beautiful grounds, awesome beach and scenery. staff very attentive but not pushy. My wife was planning our return before we even left!
