recently stayed at this hotel and found the overall experience to be very positive. The location was convenient, making it easy to access nearby attractions and transportation. The hospitality of the staff stood out; they were welcoming, attentive, and made checkin and checkout smooth. The room looked nothing like the pictures. I booked the executive suite and was put on the bottom floor - my windows looked directly into the entrance and everyone could see straight into the room. amenities of the room were not as described and in some cases not even available.... the staff were friendly but not helpful at all

We got notified the property was under construction 2 days after leaving for our Italy & France vacation, leaving us limited options. Upon arrival, we found construction at the front entrance and were not warmly greeted at check-in. Reaching our room required a long walk, the elevator in our building was unreliable. Staff blamed the issue on housekeeping, but it was clear there was a larger problem. Because my husband has limited mobility following multiple back surgeries, we were concerned about his safety if the elevator failed especially being a commercial builder himself.
When we entered the room, it smelled as if a wet dog had been there. I immediately contacted Expedia, and after speaking with the hotel, they agreed to refund 3 of our 4 nights if we checked out immediately. We booked another property and went to the front desk to leave, they tried to offer another room, which we declined. The next day, we discovered no refund had been issued. After contacting Expedia, we learned the hotel had gone back on its agreement. I spent much of our vacation calling daily to have the matter escalated. I finally filed a claim through the French consulate, and shortly thereafter the hotel refunded three nights as originally promised.
While we eventually received the agreed-upon refund, it did not compensate for the stress, inconvenience, and valuable vacation time lost dealing with the horrific situation. We will never speak well of France to anyone that asks. It is all on them.

They need to improve the lift on Eiffel block, total nonsense that there was only one lift which was slow and never took you to the right floor. Thankfully was able to use stairs but would have been very disappointed if I had mobility challenges - elevator door repeatly had problems closing

Nice place. The Junior Suite was spacious but a little dated. We also stayed in a superior room during another part of the trip and it was also nice but a bit smaller. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was adequate but I would recommend going to Moon Croissant around the corner for world class pastries.

The property was fantastic! It was right near the Zaan Sebastian metro which is central to all sights. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. The service was excellent. The hotel was near to shopping, food, and just pleasurable walking. The junior suite was roomy and well appointed. It would be tight for three with a lot of luggage, but perfect for 2 people with average luggage. Plan on bringing my daughter back. Loved it!

We arrived at the hotel after booking based on the amenities list and provided photos. Apparently, after discussing this with staff over the four day trip, this is not a reliable way to find a hotel.

The rooms are dated, and exceptionally different from the provided photos. You will not stay in a room like the pictures. There is no AC, no bath robes, the lift doesn’t work, the variety of room blocks have different ways in and out, some without locks on the main entrances, and unless you want to make up for it with as many free bottles of water as you can, there’s no hope for any discerning traveller.

Staff clearly understood what we were frustrated by, and offered almost nothing to fix the issue. A new room with the same issues and same mis-sold advertising doesn’t work here. We complained via app on the first night, which wasn’t seen. We then complained at the desk the following morning, and were told on numerous occasions that the manager would be available later. It turned out, the manager only arrived as we were running late for our journey home (having waited 20+ mins at the reception for them).

It’s in a good location - Marais-adjacent. It’s a short walk to the metro, but then again, anywhere is in a city like Paris. I’d only recommend this hotel to someone looking for adventure, as there is no way to know what kind of scenario or room awaits your arrival.

This is my 3rd time at the hotel. Great location and my room was very nice. The rooms overlooking the courtyard are always lovely and quiet, the ones overlooking the road are very noisy and it is worth bringing earplugs if you are road-facing. Unfortunately we visited during a cold snap after the heating had been turned off for the summer so it was cold in the rooms. It’s due to be 27C the week after we came so it’s hard for the hotel to predict that it would be 8C when we arrived but it did make the stay a bit less comfortable than usual. It’s a great location though and I will definitely stay here again because the other times have been faultless

This was a comfortable base for my exploration of the Marais district. Near several metro stations and walkable to everything of interest in the neighborhood. My room was spacious by Paris standards. Staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. There is a lovely courtyard to sit and have a drink in after dinner. All in all a good stay!

Did not love that breakfast or coffee is outside through a courtyard and down stairs- super inconvenient in rain, same for the “lobby” in a totally different building. We hated the area, have to been to paris several times and wanted to try a new area and regretted it the entire trip.Graffiti, homeless people trash on the streets and far from everything. 45 minute uber to 6th, eiffel tower. Hotel is great, area is terrible and because of the area we would not stay there again.

This was our first time at this hotel and our stay was excellent. The hotel is fabulous and the Decor is beautiful. The hotel is immaculate throughout and our spacious room was spotless.
The hotel is very well staffed and each member was polite and helpful.
The breakfast was plentiful and full of delicious choices. The breakfast room was spotless and spacious.
As a wheelchair user I found the hotel to be very accessible and the staff very helpful. Likewise my room was very accessible.
I couldn't fault this beautiful hotel and I would highly recommend it.

Everything appeared to be quite clean. There were other issues that were accommodated. We asked to change room because our first room was on the 5th floor and the elevator wouldn't go there. Because of a malfunction you had to go to the 4th or 6th floor. And due to construction the bar and restaurant were closed. So we asked for a small consession of included breakfast since we had not included breakfast in our reservation and they gave us that.

The WiFi was fast enough. The staff were extremely kind, helpful, and consistent. It was nice seeing the same faces daily and there were plenty of them to assist any guest. My room was very clean and nice. I did not try breakfast any given day. My only complaint would be that there was no coffee in the room or in the lobby or anywhere that I could see besides having to go to restaurant area, that's the only amenity not available.

When we checked in, after a 15 hour flight we had to wait 40 minutes in the check in. After all that , they gave me the wrong room. All this was very frustrating. They then ffered me a bigger room but charged me an additional 60 euros a night and 25 euros a night in city fees which was a surprise.

I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this hotel! I was a little nervous because of some of the reviews, but I did not have a single problem with my six-night stay here. The room was much larger than I expected and I felt very safe here. There is only one way to access the courtyard and buildings with the rooms in them, which is right past the front desk. The entrance to the courtyard from the street was almost always shut and locked, except when there was hot chocolate and mulled wine with treats being served at the small building in the courtyard. The location was quieter and more local, but still had great restaurants and shops. The metro is close by and very simple to navigate when you get the hang of it to get to other parts of the city. I would recommend this hotel!

This is a 3 star hotel that tries to pretend its a 4 star, and gets bad reviews by rich people who have much too high of an expection because of it. I can see it fails as a 4 star, certain room amenities are old and outdated, staff is untrained, etc. But as a 3 star hotel, if you are not expecting concierge and bellboys, it is clean and comfortable, and in a good location.

I recently stayed at Les Jardins du Marais and overall had a wonderful experience. The hotel is located in a very decent and safe area, well-connected to the city, which made getting around easy and stress-free. The property itself has cozy vibes and a unique charm that sets it apart.

I initially booked a Classical Room, which I found to be quite noisy and a bit outdated. However, after upgrading to an Executive Room, my entire stay was elevated—the difference was remarkable, and I will definitely book this type of room again as it’s absolutely worth the extra cost.

The guest service was exceptional. The team proactively checked if everything was fine before I even approached them, and they resolved my issue swiftly and professionally. Special thanks to Vanessa for her excellent online support and to Ouassila at the reception for handling the room change with such professionalism.

Overall, I highly recommend Les Jardins du Marais for its location, charm, and outstanding staff.

Breakfast was excellent, and the garden courtyard was lovely and setup with fluffy blankets covering the chairs and Christmas lights, they even served hot cocoa and waffles (for purchase) one evening. Nice room, BUT we had a mouse. Maintenace did nothing about it, didn't even set a trap that night nor communicate with us despite our complaint. We had to sleep with the lights on. The next day management moved us to an upgraded room but the damage was done.
