Hotel is 25 min drive to Amboise. The hotel does have restaurant but very limited seating and for dinner , we found that the restaurants in Amboise were great but you do need a car. Hotel is on a manual accounting system so errors did occur on the bill. Management is unwilling to make any adjustments after you leave property so need to check the invoice closely.

First Class accomodation and stay.

I stayed here because of business. I selected it due to the location.
What I found is a gorgeous place with excellent service that I would certainly return to.
This is quite a romantic setting. They do have a restaurant, but I did not eat there. The parking is ample and easy to use.

Situated in the countryside in the Loire Valley. The hosts are very warm and accommodating. The rooms comfortable and well appointed. We found the restaurant and the presentation really exceptional.

What a lovely place! Really friendly welcome & good to have a dip in the pool after a long drive. Super dinner & breakfast (although takes a little time to be noticed at the door). Very well appointed room in the annexe although we could not get the bathroom heater to work on a rather damp evening. Definitely recommend!

Le Fleuray was beautiful- both the hotel itself and the surrounding area. It was very peaceful. Our room was lovely, and we enjoyed a delicious dinner at the restaurant on premises as well. The service was impeccable. Nice breakfast buffet before getting back in the road. We really enjoyed our stay!

Terrible experience

Terrible experience. No running water in the bathroom when we arrrived at 5pm. Reception did not even inform us. We complained and they said there was nothing they could do and had no idea when the water would return because the water company had a major problem. They did not offer us any bottled water until later when we demanded it. Attitude of the reception staff was very poor, like they didn’t care. Water came back during the middle of the night but was cut again the next day in the afternoon. We complained and got some more bottled water. Had to ask for a bucket of water to flush the toilet. Breakfast buffet in the restaurant is poor and not worth the price of 17 Euro. Dinner in the restaurant was acceptable but very overpriced. You can eat better and much cheaper at other restaurants in the area. During the 2 days when water was cut off we tried to contact Hotels.com to try to change the another hotel. Very difficult to get through to an agent because their automated answering system doesn’t work properly. Finally got through to an agent after a dozen attempts and said we would like to change hotel. They said they would contact the hotel but then the line cut off. Called again and after many more attempts spoke to another agent but then the line cut off again. They never called me back and they did absolutely nothing. I wasted my time calling them. We will never use Hotels.com or Logis Hotels again.

The property was beautiful and well-maintained. We stayed in the family suite. It was huge and had more than enough space for us. It was myself, my husband, our 22-year-old daughter, and our 19-year-old son. We ate at the restaurant our first night there. The dinner menu is limited. They only serve one 3-course meal. It was delicious however we all would have preferred to have choices. The smell of honeysuckle on the outside patio at the restaurant was intoxicating. The property was centrally located to all the chateaus in the area and the drive was very scenic. I would recommend it and if we have the chance, we would stay there again.

The house and grounds were beautiful. The hotel was booked for dinner, so we went to Amboise, which is lovely. Unfortunately, the hot tub was broken, which was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel. The waiter at breakfast was not attentive.

Really nice hotel in the countryside!

This is a small country hotel. The hotel has a really nice restaurant as well and the setting is picturesque. This is more boutique in style so if you're looking for that ambiance this is a good choice.

It's family owned and run and easy to recommend. Room was comfortable and bathroom spacious.

It is in the countryside with lots of farmland around it. Not for those who want to be in the middle of a city.

A little countryside gem!

I booked very last minute at popular time so could find nowhere in Amboise. I stumbled on this from old Frommer's Guide.It is situated in the countryside requiring a delightful drive on single lane roads through fields - just do NOT do this for first time at night or follow google maps.It is close to freeway so good base. I arrived at 1030pm so no one to meet me; this was frustrating as map to room incorrect and method to lock the room doors is very strange, luckily I had just stayed somewhere else with same or I would not have been able to lock my door that night. So I wasnt very happy when i went to bed the first night. However, I had booked one of the Garden double rooms with their own little courtyard, waking up and looking out onto the serenity was wonderful, and the stay turned around. The service is wonderful. The rooms are decorated in an old traditional style but are spacious, dont feel musty and decor matches - this was about as quaint/countryside as I can tolerate! I was very glad the bathrooms were modern and clean. I didn't eat breakfast there so cannot comment. I dont think there was airconditioning or an ability to leave a window open, but there was a fan in the room. Disappointingly, there is no fridge for drinks nor any tea/coffee facilities in the room. Supposedly you can get them to bring a coffee to your room, I didnt try this out. The actual telephone mobile reception in this area is poor - my phone couldnt pick up a signal! Wifi was ok though.

Nice, clean, but overpriced

The hotel itself was nice, albeit a little remote, but during our three day stay here most of the other guests that were here acted UBER snobby and entitled, which made having breakfast unenjoyable. We cancelled our dinner reservation because of this reason. Maybe because the hotel is a little on the pricier side it attracts upper class people. The staff, however, were very kind and helpful.

County living

The hotel was in the middle of a farm field there were lots of cows to watch. The room was spacious and cute. The breakfast was very good and lots of choices plus fresh orange or grapefruit juice. The only draw back was there was no where reasonably priced to eat dinner close by. We had to drive about 20 minutes to get to town. The restaurant at the hotel is very good but expensive. It was easy to get to many attractions.

A brilliant find

The hotel was a real coup. Situated in rural countryside with all the comforts you could want, including a wonderful pool and loungers which we used when we arrived tired after a long drive. Restaurant was in colonial style and food was fantastic with very attentive staff who could answer any question about the menu and the wines.
Reading other reviews about bugs, yes there are some bugs but it's in the COUNTRY, and bugs are food for wonderful wildlife there. I would defiantly recommend this place and would love to go back if we are ever in the area again.

Country Charm with Amazing Dining

We had a pleasant stay and Le Fleuray - was not sure I would like it upon arrrival and it did grow on me after the first day. Why? I felt the grounds could have been better planted - more colorful flowers/containers. We had a \"garden\" room and the view was of very dried out greenery and tall green hedges that surrounded the pool. Not much of a garden to see. The room was very spacious and comfortable although no mini-fridge to keep snacks and no a/c (which fortunately was not an issue and I was there in early August). They did provide a fan. The dining room was beautiful both inside and out - the food was absolutely delicious and the service outstanding. Watched the sunset from the outside dining area, simply beautiful. We drove to the nearby castles, was very easy.

Uncomfortable and disappointing

Be warned: If you plan to book a stay please read this first. I am a seasoned traveler and like to pride myself on making smart selections. I do my research and sort through multiple sites for reviews. This time I don't think the reviews I read captured the experience a traveler could have at this destination.
There is no air conditioning in the rooms (we visited during a crushing heat wave with daytime highs above 100 Fahrenheit). After being miserable touring, the last experience you want when you retire for the day is to sweat through the night. Be warned, summer visitors. Further, there were bugs in our sink, roaming around on the bathroom floor and flying in our room. When we brought this to the attention of the management they simply shrugged at the idea of garden bugs who don't hurt anything. I would expect, however, that most guests would care very much about sleeping with bugs flying and roaming around their room.
Despite the heat wave the property closed the pool promptly at 8:00pm when it was over 90 at the time. To make sure no one went to the pool the gate was locked and the pool was covered. One would think an exception could be made given the heat and lack of air conditioning. Would it have been too much to ask to have the property extend pool ours given the circumstances.
The setting is in the country and removed from the rush to the point of isolation. By no means is it convenient to anything.

Very friendly hotel but no air conditioning

We had a generally very enjoyable stay at Le Fleuray. The staff were great -- friendly, helpful, solicitous. The pool and the tennis courts were wonderful, and we especially appreciated their providing racquets, etc. Likewise we really liked their providing bicycles, though it was disappointing that almost all of the walking and biking routes were on roads, many of which had significant traffic traveling at relatively high speeds, 90 km+. The rooms were very comfortable, but they did not have air conditioning which was a major drawback given the high temperatures this summer. The air outside cooled down at night, but because there was no cross-ventilation, it was difficult and slow to bring down the room temperature. One of the great things about the hotel are the pool, tennis courts, bicycles, etc. It was a great place to stay for a couple of days and relax, especially with kids. But this wonderful atmosphere was because it was in the countryside: it was not conveniently located for visiting the chateaux, castles, etc. in the region and would not be a good base for visiting the Loire valley. Don't get me wrong: at its best, it was great -- having a delicious dinner looking out over the beautiful and peaceful countryside, sitting on the terrace outside the rooms sipping wine and enjoying the sunset, playing tennis, swimming, or strolling around the hotel. Some of the happiest memories of our trip. But no air conditioning and an extra 30 mins. to get to Blois.

In farmlands and high price. What town????

Not in Cangey-Ambiose which your GPS will not recognize. A good 30 minutes from Amboise. Literally in Farmland but beautiful setting. Really good for people who like larger room and baths more Anericsn type room than anywhere we stayed plus way more expensive. Clean and great bedding. Sweet staff even though my shock at the 184€ price. Venere never sent me a confirmation and both the hotel and me could not locate where the booking came from. It was a triple room but IMHO way overpriced. The restaurant on the premises was superb.

Superb Hotel in the countryside

Beautiful hotel a few kilometers off the main road between Blois and Amboise and surrounded by open fields and green grass. This was the nicest room of our trip (and most expensive). We had dinner two nights at the hotel restaurant and enjoyed both tremendously. Excellent food and generally excellent service, not to mention watching the cows roaming back and forth beyond the windows. I can highly recommend Le Fleuray but be forewarned you will far from any options for eating, both Blois and Amboise are a \"drive\" away.

Lovely country hotel

This place and the attached restaurant are wonderful. The breakfast was great and much cheaper than the ones in Paris. Dinner was exceptional. A couple of improvements I would suggest is to add coffee and tea in the rooms and even a mini fridge. The staff were all very amiable and helpful, but always hard to track down. I always felt like when they were doing something for me, like delivering drinks, that I was keeping them from something they felt more important. A person stationed in the lobby would make all the difference.

What a gem!

So peaceful, on its own in the country, it is a real gem! Heated swimming pool and hot tub to enjoy and elegant ensuite rooms. The food too was beautifully presented and tasty. The staff were excellent...what more can I say!!

An absolute gem and the staff are superb

This hotel was a highlight of our recent tour around France. Located in gorgeous french countryside, with wonderful facilities of heated hot tub, heated pool and tennis courts included as well as bike hire. Rooms are beautifully French and there are lovely seating options in the library and gardens to enjoy some of your locally purchased wines, cheeses and other goodies. A special mention to the staff, who ever does the staff hiring and training at this hotel really knows their stuff; reception and restaurant staff are amongst the best I've ever experienced. And finally, the hotel food is excellent.

Charming gem of a country inn

We had a lovely stay in this pleasant small hotel on our driving trip of Loire Valley. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was large and comfortable and had a lovely view of the countryside. The bathroom was spacious and clean. The restaurant had delicious and well-presented food. This was a peaceful place to come back to after a long day of sightseeing in the French countryside. Prices were extremely reasonable for all the amenities. Highly recommend.

Nice family run hotel

Great service and a clean and attractive country hotel with a nice outdoor pool. Restaurant very pricey for a 3 star hotel though, and a somewhat limited menu. The food was excellent though! Our room was very hot and it would benefit from air conditioning or a fan. No tea/coffee facility in-room, which would have been nice, but coffee room service was provided.

Le Fleuray was an ideal spot for exploring the Loire region-a peaceful country retreat but just a few miles north of the Loire,boasting heated pool,spa pool,a fine restaurant,and delightful and helpful staff,who made you feel so welcome at their hotel. A repeat visit is a must for us.

Very quiet area , nice landscape, car is a must

Good place to feel quiet and get rest after a touristic day in the Loire Castles around. Car is a must for this location , Parking is free . Mr. Jordan one of the owners as I understood was extremely helpful in his advices for visits around . Bungalows are wider and more comfortable than standard rooms but of course more expensive .Only one remark : bring your soap and shampoo for shower as they are microscopic on site !! Nice place ,nice people otherwise .

Wonderful hotel in the county

Everything about the hotel was superb. We had a charming dinner in their gourmet restaurant and we were completely impressed. The staff was so accommodating and the room was warm and welcoming. The weather was quite cold but the hotel and dining area was warm. We highly recommend Le Fleuray as it was highly recommended to us.
