The Hotel was easy to get to, being just 15 minute walk from the ferry terminal. The room was comfy. The room, stairs and bar area were pretty in a nod to 1920s & 30s decor, interspersed with local art and images. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast options are simple but tasty and good value. I would definitely stay again.

Very helpful, polite and friendly staff. The room was spacious clean with very comfy beds. Very quiet as it was facing the interior court.
Some parts were a bit outdated but I guess still functional (we struggled a bit closing down the window) and some bits were missing just thick courtians but nothing to frost the windows without having it completely dark.

Loved it! Perfect for solo traveler. The area is wonderful, magical. The staff here is lovely. Room, facilities are clean, well cared for. Windows open for fresh air. Wake to the sounds of seagulls (really quite charming). Morning cappuccinos. Cider, wine and cocktails later in the day. There is a very convenient laundromat just 3 blocks away. I will happily stay here again. Literally only downside was no electrical outlets by the desk (hard to use laptop there) or in the bathroom (unless using a male shaving device). Blow dryer is provided but nowhere to plug in anything else in sight of a mirror. Was fine for me as I just pull my hair into a ponytail and go. Love this hotel!

Quaint authentic St Malo old town hotel

The hotel is in the middle of the old town, getting there by car on a Saturday lunchtime was a bit of an experience. Once at the hotel the staff were very friendly and helpful, some do speak English if you do not speak French. They offer parking at €20/night, it's in an underground car park maybe ten minutes away, cheaper than parking in the large carpark outside we were told.
The rooms are compact but functional, access to the rooms is by stairs, those with impaired mobility may struggle, the lift is up a small flight of stairs. The hotel is in a little square, sitting outside the front of the bar with a drink is nice and relaxing. The whole old town is in walking distance, we stayed for an afternoon and a night before taking the ferry back to Portsmouth and had a lovely time.
The hotel does not serve food apart from breakfast, which we didn't have but it looked good when we checked out.

My St Malo home from home

This is my “go to” hotel within the walls of the citadel. It is in a good central location a few minutes walk from the main streets, restaurants and beaches 5 minutes walk away. There are bicycle hoops just outside the entrance and an overnight stay is not disturbed by the early morning activities of the cleaning of the city roads.

Small room but that's to be expected within the walled city area. Fine for an overnight stop before catching a morning ferry. Close to all shops. bars & restaurants but not noisy. Beware scalding hot water in showers, with no temperature limiter on the taps - very easy to knock the tap onto a higher temperature in small shower enclosure and get burnt.

My room was a good size, the bathroom was small but perfectly adequate. Nice shower, although sometimes took a while to get hot. Bed was comfy.
Great location - about a block inside the gates, bus stop outside takes you into the train station via other parts of town. Ferry port is about 10 minutes’ walk.
Lovely and helpful hosts. Breakfast was very nice.
Will definitely stay here again.

Only drawbacks are the soundproofing which is poor and the world's tiniest lift which will take one person but no luggage so be prpard to walk up and down the stairs!

We booked this hotel wanting a night of rest before the Ferry crossing to Portsmouth, If we had realized how comfortable we were going to be we would have stayed for more than one night. The staff were delightful the rooms were very clean and comfortable and the lift amused us - very ingenious!! It is right in the walled city of St Malo and a perfect place to explore from. Convenient Central Location

Ideally located in the centre of the walled city only a few minutes from ramparts, beach, shops and restaurants so perfect for exploring. The hotel has a bar with inside and outdoor seating. My room had a window overlooking a private courtyard so the sounds of the nightlife (which was particularly enthusiastic given it was Bastille Day and World Cup final day over the weekend I was there) were quieter than I have known in other hotels intra-Muros. The room was well insulated and I was unable to hear anything from neighbouring rooms. There are public bicycle hoops nearby to the hotel where I could safely secure my bike which was ideal. I would definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for three nights. If you want to use st malo as a base then travel to cancale, dinan, dinard etc, it might be a better idea to live outside the old town in my opinion, as in you don't have to walk at least 40 minutes per day or take taxi etc, but that's not the hotel's fault, it really depends on your travel plan.

The hotel itself, great location, the owner was very friendly, bar and big TV downstairs. Supermarket down the corner.

St Malo after Paris and before Roscoff.

The staff was very helpful from the moment we arrived until leaving. Stayed three nights, their suggestions for dinner were perfect. Rooms are a little small, but everything is there. Although in a busy area, no noise heard in the room, good windows and sound proofing. Breakfast light but easy and warm milk served with your coffee. Take a few minutes and have one of the single malt scotches available, less than what some restaurants charge for bottled water. REALLY!
Be sure to walk the ramparts, fantastic views.
Would certainly stay at this property again. SNCF = taking train to Roscoff............staff at stration perhaps the WORST.........except for the staff at SNCF station in Caen.(Took family to Normandy) Over the past 20 years, the SNCF staff have gotten more rude to Americans and less helpful. Very nice trains, fast, convenient but don't ask for anything out of the norm. Fights between protestors and poilice at St Lazare station, homeless begging and being threatening at Caen and St Malo stations. Really a problem...............

The hotel is in a great intra-muros location, a bit set back from the street, so there is very little noise from the street. The staff is very friendly. I scored the comfort level at 3/5 rather than higher because the walls are extremely thin and the elevator, quite small and load-rated at 100 kg (220 lbs), was a challenge. Overall, I enjoyed my stay.

I spent 4 nights here and was very happy with the hotel. The rooms are really clean and showers have plenty of hot water and fresh towels daily. The beds are comfortable too. Very smart, clean and ideally situated for a short stay in the town - driving into the old town is a bit complicated due to the one way system. Booked a garage for our stay - but could quite easily have parked just outside the town walls. All in all a pleasant stay.

Small hotel on a pretty square within the city walls surrounded by an excellent choice of restaurants and shops. Within easy walking distance of busses and ferries. Although room was small it was more than adequate for a short stay. There are stairs to all rooms and to the small lift which is really only big enough to take your bags. There was a very high step up into and down out of the shower. Breakfast was very good and the 2 members of staff we encountered were friendly, helpful and efficient.

Good Hotel for a short stay.

We used this hotel as a one night stopover before catching the ferry to Portsmouth on Sunday morning, and found it to be very clean and comfortable. Although it did not provide evening meals, there are plenty of good restaurants and bars in the area. Breakfast was OK - fresh bread, croissants, fruit, etc. - charged at EUR 8 per person. The room was not very large, but adequate for a short stay. The staff were friendly and helpful, and spoke enough English so as not to test our very limited French!.
Parking is limited, and we had to park on the street a quarter of a mile away, but it was a busy Saturday night at the restaurants. Parking is free between 19:00 and 09:00, and about EUR 1.50 per hour during the day.

The owners could not have been more helpful. Even drove our car for us to the secure parking which you really need to book. Very clean. Right in the middle of things. Let them recommend a restaurant - we had an excellent meal - would have been very hard to choose out of the huge amount of offer. Would definitely stay with them again. We had a small room on the top floor but we were only staying 1 night and I think they would give you a larger one if you were staying. Lift.

The people running this place were very friendly, sweet, bilingual, and friendly about speaking as much English (or French) as you wanted. But do NOT seek a dinner restaurant recommendation from them. We did, and regretted it. They referred us to a place that we subsequently found out was their friends' place (a block away), and it was subpar. When you're in France, with it's superb food, that's a shame. Overall, I recommend this place (the breakfast was great!).

Le Croiseur in St Malo

This hotel is right in the heart of the walled city of St Malo. We were greeted by a very friendly chap who kindly offered to park our car in a safe place as we were not allowed to park in front of the hotel for long. The rooms were small but newly decorated and extremely clean. We used this hotel as a stop over for the ferry the following morning and it was perfect for this. If we wanted to spend more than one night here, we would want a bigger room and bathroom, but for good service and freindly staff, we found Le Croiseur very satifsactory.

I liked everything about Le Croiseur except for the extremely small size of the room and the incorrect installation of the shower head, which meant flooding the bathroom was inevitable.
There is also a correspondingly tiny lift (100kg max: i.e. 1 not too fat person plus their not too fat luggage) which might be overlooked if the management don't mention it (as was the case with me.)

Other than that, the staff werepleasant and helpful, it was clean and pleasant, reasonably quiet, centrally located and both the room and continental breakfast were reasonably priced.

This hotel was walking distance from the train station and had an optimal location within the walls of St. Malo. The morning breakfast was reasonably priced and convenient. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was a little on the tiny side and we could hear noise from the stair well, but the location, cleanliness and staff were well worth staying here again. The room was very quiet at night.

Pænt hotel inden for bymuren. Flinkt og hjælpsomt personale.
Vi havde “superiore cosy” værelse, og det var i hvert fald højt beliiggende under taget. Steghedt.
Nåede værelse via minielevator (højest 100 kg). Lidt vanskeligt for to perseoner med hver sin rullekuffert.
Parkering foregår lige uden for bymuren. Der er masser af pladser, og det er ikke dyrt natten over (< 30 DKK).
Miljøet inden for muren er noget af en dyrehavsbakke med masser af turister og restauranter med halvdårlig men ikke særlig billig mad.

Gemütliches Hotel mitten in der Altstadt

Das Hotel ist sehr urig und mitten in der Altstadt. Das Personal außerordentlich freundlich und sehr hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück ist mit sehr viel Liebe vorbereitet und die Zimmer total gemütlich.
Wichtig, man kann das Hotel zwar anfahren, aber parken geht nur außerhalb der Stadtmauer. Hierfür vorher telefonisch nen Parkplatz reservieren oder auf nem öffentlichen parken.

Hôtel idéalement situé (Saint-Malo intra-muros). Proche aussi des restaurants et possibilité shopping. Possibilité de louer un emplacement parking sécurisé (un box). Hôtelier agréable et disponible. Bon rapport qualité/prix pour le petit déjeuner. La salle de bain semble avoir été refaite il y a peu. Tout est réuni pour passer un excellent séjour.

L'hotel est situé sur une placette calme. Notre chambre donnait dans une cour intérieure donc peu de bruit. La chambre était très confortable avec une bonne literie. Le personnel très gentil, accueillant. Le petit déjeuner au top.

Bon rapport qualité prix pour un hôtel dans le cœur de la ville de Saint Malo. Le personnel est très accueillant et fait son possible pour faire passer un bon séjour, c’est agréable. Par super insonorisé, chambre un peu petites, mais pour le prix et sa localisation c’est cohérent. Je retire donc pas d’étoiles.

Fidèle à sa réputation rien a redire sur l'établissement, le confort et la propreté et la gentillesse de son propriétaire. Seul petit bémol l’ascenseur vraiment petit. Je recommande cet hôtel le Croiseur.

Excellent accueil dans cet agréable hôtel, très bien situé pour toutes promenades, et bien calme la nuit. Une literie très confortable, une décoration soignée et apaisante. Le petit déjeuner est de grande qualité avec un choix varié et largement suffisant. L'ascenseur est certes petit mais nous étions au 1 er étage avec une terrasse sur toit magnifique.En bref, nous recommandons vivement cet établissement, et ne manquerons pas d'y retourner lors d'un prochain séjour dans cette magnifique ville qu'est Saint-Malo.

Hôtel bien situé dans le centre historique de Saint Malo. Comme dans beaucoup d'établissements intramuros, les chambres sont petites. Mais nous avons apprécié la literie confortable et la salle de bain étincelante. Accueil sympathique. Petit déjeuner copieux et varié.

Litet men trevligt familjehotell

Ett trevligt hotell med mycket trevlig personal. Dock små rum och absolut den minsta hiss i Hotell historien. Rummen var rena och fräscha, men lite slitna.hotellet ligger väldigt centralt och även om man inte får parkering vid hotellet så är det inte långt till en allmän parkering, dock väldigt dyrt att parkera.

老闆人很好，主動提供地圖等資訊，房間舒適而乾淨。地點也很方便。電梯很小，大行李箱會有困難。
