Les planchers sont très sales et collants partout dans l’hôtel. Les planchers des chambres sont en tapis ce qui n’est pas hygiénique. L’éclairage dans la chambre est très fort et ne peut pas se diminuer ce qui n’est pas pratique pour la toilette la nuit ou pour les enfants qui ont souvent besoin d’une petite veilleuse la nuit.
Les files d’attentes ne sont pas gérées pour les kiosques de nourriture/café/bar. Chaque fois je me fais dépasser par les clients qui se ruent sans politesse et le personnel ne s’en préoccupe pas. Manque de personnel sur le site. Manque de serviettes à la piscine.
Le parc extérieur est super et le dépôt de valise est très efficace. Nettoyage de chambre apprécié. Le décor bateau au centre de l’hôtel est super beau. Le bus-navette pour Disney qui est inclus est vraiment pratique et super apprécié !!

Good location and easy to get to the parks but that is the only good thing about this hotel. Hotel is dirty and very run down, rooms aren’t cleaned even when we asked for it to be. People left wet towels outside their rooms and they were left there in the corridor. Waited 30 minutes for staff to finish their chat to serve me. Extremely overpriced, €4.50 for a 500ml bottle of Coke Zero when in the shop down the road it was €1.10. ‘Breakfast included’ but they don’t tell you that you have to pay extra if you want a hot breakfast.

The room was spacious and overall OK, but the staff was quite rude in general. Apart from this, the swimming pool is quite small compared to others and more important, it has no lifeguard! The buffet was included, but if you wanted hot food, it has extra costs, so basically the buffet was bread, ham and cheese, salad and some pastry. Finally, I find ridiculous that the charge of the parking is £17 pounds per day while there are no other options.

A good base for 1 night. Staff were pleasant at arrival. Room was quite tired looking but decent size for large family.
Really good amenities - pool/pub/arcade room and a decent choice of food although unsurprisingly overpriced. Main restaurant area was very hot. Pool was on the chilly side and no lifeguard!! But the kids loved the slides and theming was good.

The Explorer Hotel is a child’s dream — it has a water park, arcade, pizzeria, and jungle gym, so there’s plenty to keep kids entertained. The food was decent, and my children enjoyed the activities. However, one area of the hotel had an unpleasant odor, and the pool didn’t feel very clean.

Our room was comfortable but looked old and dated, especially for the price. On the bright side, the hotel offers a convenient shuttle to the parks and train station, and the pool stays open late. The free breakfast was okay but repetitive, serving the same items each morning.

Overall, it’s a fun place for families with young kids, but it could really benefit from better upkeep and some modernization.

Room was nice but carpets and towels where dirty and stained, the sink in the shower room kept blocking up when you run the water so couldn't use it. Catering staff were ignorant, they wouldn't let our kids sit beside us in the hot breakfast area as they were only having cereal this meant my 3 young children had to sit alone in the canteen, the hotel facilities where excellent loads to do to keep the kids entertained, overall we enjoyed our stay

Generally the hotel was okay. I felt it missed a bit of the wow factor. Some bit ma needed a better deep clean and better housekeeping. Lack of counter staff meant queues for drinks and pizza etc were as long as the Parks at times! The outdoor play area and swimming pool were very good however - just leave your UK swimming rules n regs behind! Food was good for breakfast and the buffet dinner, staff always helpful.

So I’d booked and arranged an adapted room as a wheelchair user. I never got it I went to reception and they ignored me. I tried to get their attention and was shushed. The room I got was so small my wheelchair couldn’t fit properly to the point to not risk having it stolen I had to have it across the door essentially locking myself in. Awful experience

Housekeepers were great! Breakfast is mediocre, but got the job done for the little ones. Front desk was super fast with check in and helpful. Shuttle to Disney, is the second last drop and pick up, so the bus experience was alittle hectic, as it was full a lot, got to squeeze in!

A Fantastic First Holiday to France & Disneyland – Explorer Hotel Was Perfect!

We had an absolutely brilliant time staying at the Explorer Hotel for our first ever holiday to France and Disneyland Paris! From the moment we arrived, everything felt magical. The hotel is fun, family-friendly, and full of character — perfect for kids and adults alike.

The pirate-themed play area was a huge hit with our little ones, and the rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice, and the staff were always welcoming and helpful.

The location is ideal — just a short shuttle ride to Disneyland, which made getting to and from the parks super easy. After a day of Disney magic, it was lovely to come back to a hotel that kept the fun going.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The Explorer Hotel helped make our first trip to France truly unforgettable. Highly recommended for families looking for a fun, affordable, and memorable Disney experience!

I’d read a million mixed reviews but decided to stay here. Asked for a quiet room and unfortunately had noise until 2:30am in the room above us. Did have to speak to reception who moved us to a higher floor the next day - more at risk of noise but heard nothing for the remainder of our trip. Facilities at the hotel great for children and open decent length of time. The general areas are a little dirty with tables full of food/rubbish. Staff don’t have that ‘Disney’ magic and seem frustrated however for the price of the place, it really does save a huge amount of money in direct comparison to Disney hotels. I would stay again (with children) but I would request a room on the top floor.

We liked the amount of things to do - pool, outside and inside play area. Arcade, cinema. Staff were friendly and helpful. There’s a regular shuttle bus to Disney parks and hotel arranged a return shuttle to val d’Europe for us at a reasonable cost. The nights were hot, so they provided an additional large fan. There were handy extras in the room, such as usb charging points, coat hooks and also a retractable drying line above the bath - handy for drying swimming costumes. However, some of my family said the beds were uncomfortable (I was fine), the bathroom door handle was hanging off and the decor was starting to look tired. The tv’s (we had a family room so there was an adjoining room with bunk beds and another tv) only showed French channels and there were no English speaking channels that worked. Finally, the breakfast was continental which I didn’t realise when booking. You have to pay extra for cooked breakfast.

Supervise the pool area and it would be great!

Hotel is as you would expect. Great access to Disneyland, fairly basic but clean and comfortable for a family. Staff were excellent. The pool area is good but not supervised so unfortunately it’s spoilt by those parents not watching their kids or letting them do whatever they want. It was good to refresh for half an hour before heading back into the park.

Only feedback is that toilets could be checked more regularly for cleanliness. Food was typical fried things but would of done with offering some healthy alternatives for kids such as apples or veg sticks.

the room was really hot and the fan in my room wasnt working i called reception i was told the technicianion will come and fix it.... Went out for dinner and when i came back nothing had been done,Went back to the reception and i was told the technician had left... Hmmmm!!!! I was told that by 9am the next day he will come and fix the fan so i agree to stay and wait. So this was on saturday. They ignore me till Monday evening so i decide to conplain about it again i was then given a standing fun....i felt neglected and disrespected.

We had a great stay at the Explorers Hotel. The staff were friendly and efficient, making us feel. The kids especially loved the fun play area, pool, and waterslides – such a highlight for families. We did encounter a problem with our room door, but it was handled promptly and professionally, which we really appreciated.

One area for improvement would be the breakfast service – many of the cereal bowls were chipped, leaving only a limited number in good condition.

Overall, it’s a very family-friendly hotel and a great choice for visiting Disneyland Paris.

This property is a perfect base for people who want to visit Disneyland Paris. They offer a free shuttle bus service, which tends to run every 15/30 mins. This drops you directly in the Train station/Bus stop parking area outside Disneyland. The hotel is situated about 10 mins shuttle ride away from Disneyland and is perfect for families with Children. There is an indoor climbing area/arcades, indoor swimming pool equipped with slides and a big outdoor Play area with slides. Make sure your stay comes with access to the Aqua park as this is a good optional extra to have, when you don’t want to go Disneyland. We did one day in the Hotel and a walk around the surrounding Area and we had plenty to keep us entertained. Even if your not going to Disney, still get the shuttle into Disney as you can walk around the village for free, have photos in-front of the Disneyland hotel/water fountains and there are plenty of restaurants/bars to get something to eat. There are also plenty of options to eat within the hotel. The Breakfast they offer is continental but you can pay extra to have a cooked breakfast, it just depends what you prefer. They had plenty on offer from Jam on toast to ham, cheeses, yogurt and pastries. We would definitely choose this hotel again. Thank you for a fab stay

Well presented but hotel very run down and the whole hotel needs renovating. Rooms were dirty in places including blood and several stains on bed sheets. Rooms Excessively hot & the fan was very noisy keeping us up all night! Shower was never hot and bath was dirty. Several loud bangs at night keeping us all awake. My 5 year old woke up 3 times in the night due to noise. Staff are over worked and rude at times. Overall not worth the £225 for one night! Swimming pool was mouldy in places aswell! We ate in the restaurant which was average but very over priced & the free breakfast was a fly infested disaster and absolutely chaos!!

This property was good for very small children with indoor pool, soft play and outdoor play area. There was no outdoor pool or sports areas for older children. There was free shuttle to Disneyland which was great.
The hotel was inadequately staffed. The staff were polite but rushed and so often you had to queue for long. The shop was very expensive and no close supermarkets. The food was expensive and the Captain’s Library restaurant was not good, so we ate pizzas and chicken wings most of the time! The rooms were basic but adequate so can’t complain. Overall I think it’s a very basic hotel but ok for a few days stay…

Great location for Disneyland

Good location for Disneyland, free shuttle bus. Soft play area was unfortunately closed during our stay. Our room was ok, only thing was we didn’t have a mini fridge in the room, we ask for one of the first night and they took our room number however we didn’t get one. Got taxi back to hotel using the bolt app after the evening show at Disneyland for €15 to avoid the mayhem of the late night shuttle buses. Kids enjoyed the swimming, outdoor play park and the amusements.

Top notch swimming pool and playground at this fun family friendly resort. Yes everyone here is going to Disney but it is really well set up for families. Included buffet breakfast is good and La Vallée Village nearby has lots of dining options.
Note parking is extra at €17 per day and best to pay at the reception.

The facilities are in great condition. Beautiful place for kids to have fun. My kids had a lot of fun from the pool, to the games room etc. The free shuttle to Disneyland park and back came in very handy.

However, I didn’t like the fact there was no eggs on the breakfast menu, we were asked to pay for it(so much for an intercontinental menu)

This hotel was so noisy we barely slept. It felt like the walls were made of paper, we could hear doors being shut in other rooms all night and at one point we heard someone vomiting. The staff at reception were nice, but the towel attendant at the pool was so rude. Really glad we only stayed one night and will never stay again.

Having previously stayed on this hotel we opted to stay again this year and was appalled that fact of you want an English breakfast it was an extra £12 euros etc plus paid £64 for parking. Absolutely shocking. You couldn’t take the breakfast back to the table in the main are with my family. Had to be eaten separate area. The bacon want cooked at all. The sausage wasn’t either.

I didn’t purchase due to the fact o was Ian el to sit with my family if I did

On arrival the staff was very friendly and were able to get us an early check-in. This was greatly appreciated after our 6hr flight and 1hour bus ride. As an American, I didn't realize most rooms do not have AC at hotels in Europe. We were there during the end of their heatwave and we had booked for 6 nights, so we knew we would need AC. Cyril, at the front desk was very helpful and was able to find us a suit with AC and the extra cost was well worth it! Overall our stay was very nice and we would consider returning.

I was extremely unhappy to discover that the hotel does not have air conditioning but rather a slow moving ceiling fan in each bedroom that does absoloutely nothing. We requested a fan and were again provided with a floor standing fan that did not work. In general a very basic hotel, breakfast was very basic, pizzas were frozen rubbish, drinks including beer was disgracefully overpriced for a very poor quality flat beer, pool was so heavily chlorinated that it was not possible to stay in for longer than a few minutes without eyes stinging

I wasn’t so happy with the room they gave us… was so dark and to get there you need to go through a long hallway passing next to the pool and the wet slippery flooring to get to your room! Unsafe for anyone to walk on that floor!
Not enough towels even though the place is mainly visited for the waterpark inside it! They charge €2 to borrow a towel!
Bathroom curtain disgusting! No tea or coffee in the room!
Nice outdoor playing area, it’s Overpriced but okay to stay night or two for the Disneyland and waterpark experience..

Horrible hotel. Staff is rude and unaccomdating. We had booked a 2 night stay. This hotel is advertised as having AC. There is NO AC at this hotel!!! We were there in June and it was sweltering hot. We tried to go down at 1am to talk to someone and no one was at the desk. Apparently they don’t keep staff awake during night hours. So if you need someone oh well. Hotel didn’t offer any refund or apology. We left after day one and Expedia refunded us one night stay. Although I don’t think we should have even had to pay for one night. Our family of 5 was dripping in sweat all night. DO NOT STAY HERE!!

The morning, continental breakfast, if you want eggs, you had to pay for them and if you wanted to know the eggs, you had to sit in a different part of the restaurant that would not allow family to sit with you. If they were eating the continental breakfast The restaurant in general sucked, it's owned by somebody different than the hotel and the hotel can't do anything about it

Mixed bag - avoid if you need the shuttle buses

Mixed bag really, main problem was the shuttle bus to the parks is actually way way way too busy, to the point of being really dangerous. I was 5 months pregnant, holding a 2 year old and the buses are heaving, well over capacity, no room to sit and children are being crushed. The hotel throughout was also far too hot and at night it's very noisy with doors slamming and kids running down the corridors, so not good if you have little ones. The breakfast is also about as basic a continental as you can get. But the rooms are a good size, spotlessly clean, staff were very friendly and there are things for kids to do. For a budget friendly hotel near the parks and if you have your own car then it's okay, but otherwise I'd avoid.

The Explorers hotel was amazing, as it had a variety of indoor and outdoor facilities to keep the children occupied; outdoor play area, indoor soft play area, arcade, cinema, aqua park, which kept my childen occupied. There were a variety of places to eat and also a 5 min free shuttle available to Disneyland Park, where there were many places to eat. Overall, great experience for the entire family.

We were disappointed with our stay considering we paid over £600 for two nights. The best part of the experience was the hotel’s proximity to Disneyland — we left at 8:15 AM and arrived early enough to beat the queues, which was definitely convenient. The hotel also provides a shuttle service to Disneyland, which is a nice touch. However, several aspects fell short of expectations:
1.Parking Fees – Parking is not included in your stay and costs €30 per day. While there is on-site parking, it’s frustrating to have to pay extra. One helpful tip: if you drive to Disneyland instead, parking there is free for hotel guests.
2.Breakfast Quality – The free continental breakfast is very basic. We opted to pay €9 per adult and €4 per child for the upgraded breakfast, which included a buffet-style English breakfast and pancake, the selection was still quite limited.
3.Poor Customer Service – Communication was inconsistent. We were told in advance that we could check in early for €15 per hour after 11 AM, so we planned to let the kids enjoy the arcade and pool. However, on the day, we were told early check-in wasn’t possible due to high occupancy. One staff member said we could leave our luggage and use the pool, but another said kids under 12 couldn’t swim without an adult and that we couldn’t use the pool until check-in. This back-and-forth made the experience frustrating.
4.Basic Rooms – The rooms were very minimal. Overall, the room felt cramped and dated.

Good basic accommodation but for children it was great! Good pool and slides , play area arcade and pirate ship, noisy and busy but good family choice- food was pretty good breakfast and evening meal 88 euro for family of four evening buffet but good range of choice

Overall for a family with children visiting Disney it’s great. Has a pool, games room and a decent continental breakfast included. The rooms are spacious, however we did find they could have been cleaner especially in hotel toilets or highly used areas. The staff were friendly but didn’t seem to be enough serving on the bar/food areas and could be more options for food rather than just pizza and fries.

Loved the childrens facilities.Grandson used pool every day and enjoyed play areas.Evening buffet was good and price for adults 30 euros was comparable to eateries in Disney village. Breakfast buffet was also good, but a little chaotic as hotel was very busy! Have stayed here before with other family members, but as a couple, on own, aged 60 plus would stay in one of the neighbouring hotels!!

We have stayed at the dream house next door and comparing this to the explorer.

Explorers indoor play area great.
Swimming pool was great better than the Vienna dream house.
Dinning was ok pizza and sit in restaurant was ok nothing amazing.
The beer was pretty flat. Most drinks were served in hot glasses.
The hotel is missing a sun terrace where the other hotel had a lovely terrace.

Overall it was great but I would not pay over the odds. One recommendation at the end of the fireworks take a uber as the shuttle bus is over crowded and lots of fights and arguments lol

I liked the pirate theme and cleanliness. My room was smaller than expected. The main stairway to dining area was difficult for me as I have dificulty in walking. We required a special diet for my disabled grandson which we could not order as nothing on the menus for him. Not able to lock our room so my 7 year old vulnerable non verbal high level autistic grandson kept leaving the room during the night. The fan on the ceiling was a problem as my grandson kept climbing to swing on it. We really need a room safe for autistic children. The hotel is great for normal kids. The morning we wanted the hotel to book our tickets for Disneyland there was a power cut and no internet so we had to book the tickets ourselves which caused a huge problem as we were entitled to disabled passes and we had to get help from the staff at Disneyland which took about an hour to get our tickets which was really stressfull. They said the hotel should have done this for us. The shuttle bus was a joke on the Tuesday morning as there was no chance of getting on it as it was packed when it arrived and there was about 50 people waiting at the hotel to get on it. We got a taxi for the rest of our stay. The TV in our room only had French sub titles we are English spoken so we could not watch anything. A hot breakfast would have been nice ie scrambled eggs and bacon. We got back from Disneyland 10.30pm all restaurants were closed on their signs said 11pm, we were hungary and had to eat pizzas and cold chips.

Great fun hotel

Lovely hotel with good facilities, kept the children entertained, shuttles not too bad at quieter times of the day. Friendly and helpful staff. Good rooms, lots of space, nice and clean. Could do with a change of carpet and some freshening up but doesn’t take away from what a brilliant hotel it is. Pool was great but very cold, it’s ok once you get in.

Great hotel for kids with lets to do but a little run down. There was also electrical works going on so power was off for a while. There was a warning saying there would be some disturbances but didn’t detail no power to the whole hotel or what time work was due to start.

I think the Explorers needs a complete refurb, it’s a shame as I’ve stayed here many times before however I feel the rooms have been the same for years and years . The swimming pool was absolutely freezing as were the showers and as for the shuttle bus into Disney , well that is terrible , never enough space and coming home from the park was horrific we had a wheelchair and were being pushed to the back by the huge amount of crowds waiting to get the shuttle . We had to wait over an hour in the cold to get in a bus , there were people arguing & pushing it was terrible . After eventually getting on we then had to drop off at 3 hotels . I think Explorers need to invest in there own shuttle bus as most of the customers were staying here . Also if you drive from England as we did, note that it is 17euros per day parking at the hotel .

The food was very basic and not of a good standard, just a continental breakfast and you had to pay extra for an american breakfast which barely met a passable standard. The swimming pool which was why we selected this hotel wasn't open the 1st day and then on the next three days it was open but was freezing cold, the slides weren't working and the pirate ship was closed. We definitely won't be staying here again.

I found the hotel was a little run down and dirty in parts. On arrival to our hotel we noticed the carpets along the corridor looked dirty. When we got to our room, we noticed the same, looked like the carpet wasnt vaccumed. When my daughter was getting into her bunk bed, she screamed as she saw there was a sheet with a blood stain in her bed. I called to reception and this was changed, i am unsure if this was a previously stained sheet that the stain didn't come out or if the bed had been changed at all but either way it was disgusting and my daughter would not sleep in her bed for the duration of her stay. In the main area where you can sit down and buy refreshments and pizza etc, the area was very messy. There was emty pizza boxes,drinks etc left on tables and left for next person to tidy up. Food was very basic and expensive as too were the drinks. Breakfast is basically toast/croussants/pain au chocolat, fruit salad and cheese. If you want a hot breakfast you have to pay more. The childrens outdoor play area is very neglected looking, rundown and unsafe in parts. Kids liked the games room and swimming pool but the pool was on the cold side. Good service provided for shuttle bus service to disneyland but it is very dark outside the building by night. You can hardly see where you're going. More lighting is needed! The staff in the hotel were nice and helpful when needed.

Pool not opened booked 6mths in advance not informed at time of booking ,no email sent to advise from with hotel or hotel.com- when questioned they said it was on the website it wasn’t at time of booking so I guess you have to check every week.
Very dirty in parts looks grubby at best very busy so I understand but some areas are poor 1 good thing the WiFi is very good
