Very out dated apartment, smelt of damp.and had black mould in the bathroom and sink also broken toilet flush button. No glasses just cups..
No lighting on returning of an evening so had to climb steps in the dark.

Lack of variety of food, Basic, boring unadventerous food.

Lovely little apartment perfect for my short stay. The apartment was clean and maintained to a high standard.

The only area letting this hotel down is the pool. I found it to have rubbish between the loungers and there was a drain smell whenever someone used the facilities near the pool.

I am not one to ever complain but we were not happy with our stay at we asked to change rooms they didn’t change our room so we shortened our stay and booked early flight and when we refused to pay they called the police and told us if we don’t pay we will

Great Location and clean although a few issues

The location of this hotel is fantastic, right on the Marina with all its shops and restaurants and a 5 min walk to the beach.
The staff at the hotel - reception, maids, maintenance were all lovely and helpful during our stay.
Unfortunately, we were given a 1 bed apt even though we booked a 2 bed. As an apology we were given a free meal that night in their buffet restaurant. However it took 2 days to move us to a 2 bed apt. We therefore spent day 3 of our holiday packing and waiting around for our new room to become available which was disappointing. The new apt was lovely although we were disappointed that only 1 bedroom had air con. When we originally booked, we believed that there would be air con in both bedrooms. There was air con in the lounge area so we kept the bedroom door open at night in order to try and benefit from some of the cooling. Unfortunately this air con unit caused us problems throughout our stay and we have to have maintenance out several times. It continually dripped water onto the floor so in the end we had to use saucepans for the rest of our stay to collect the water so that we didn't slip on a wet floor. Then, this unit stopped cooling so again we had to have maintenance out to mend it.
Secondly, we were kept awake at night by the people upstairs continually scraping chairs/tables/beds along their floor - they didn't seem to sleep!
Finally, during a thunderstorm in the night, rain came in through the ceiling onto my daughter's bed - not great!

Lovely family hotel - great location.

We stayed in a lovely two bed apartment - very spacious and of good sized. The kitchen area was adequate with basic kitchen stuff (one frying pan, one pot, one knife). However, we managed to cook breakfast and a couple of meals. The hotel has two pools - one very busy with lots of activities and the other one quieter. Sunbeds were not a problem around the quieter pool (we went middle two weeks in July - but think that this might change the next few weeks - the other pool always was busy). Sunbeds were the basic plastic white ones - so not very comfy - but again, okay for short periods. We stayed at the quiet pool most days, but did venture to the busier pool to take part in the water polo. The entertainment staff were good at getting everyone involved. We didn't eat in the restaurant, as there are so many lovely restaurants in the marina to choose from. We found the bar drinks expensive compared to the local bars, so we didn't drink here either. The hotel do run a happy hour (4-5pm) but this only included beer and soft drinks!). The resort is lovely - a choice of good beaches within a 5-15 min walk depending on which one you choose. We also got the bus in to Ciutadella one evening for a change of scenery. fyi- as we booked through Hotels.com we were not entitled to the free entry to the water park next door - our two older teenagers did go and were not overly impressed, so we didn't feel like we were missing out anyway. Overall a great hotel and we hope to return.

Disappointing stay

Stayed here last year and loved the location so booked for another week this year. This time however ended up in Roc Lago Park 2 which is across the main road into Cala n Bosch and a 10 minute walk from the reception and resort. These apartments were inferior to the ones in the main block - broken locks in doors, old rusty looking bathroom, marked floors, broken plugs - the list is endless. Asked to move but was told they were full. Most disappointing for us was the distance from the restaurants/marina area as we have a disabled son and chose this property purely on its close proximity to everything the resort has to offer. So beware when booking - you may end up in the older more run down Roc Lago Park 2. Wouldn't return here when there are lots of nicer apartments in this area.

It could do with some more staff

Their systems had been for a few days when we arrived and recently back so the person in reception did not have much time for us. We requested an item that never arrived even though we did asked 3 times. The fridge was so noisy that it was hard to go to sleep in the living area by kitchenette. The mattresses felt new, of memory foam so comfortable but too warm. One of the beds was too noisy when turning round. There was hardly any kitchen utensils and the kettle needs replacing as a bit of a safety hazard. Every time we passed by reception it was too busy so we did not report the kettle or ask for another. The place was clean enough but sometimes the cleaners just popped in to drop new towels and empty the bins, did get the impression that they were overworked and working too long hours perhaps. Most staff were very pleasant.

Me and my boyfriend and friends had a wonderful time here! It's in such a great place right next to the marine and the hotel staff were unbelievably helpful. There's also so many great activities around near the hotel such as: paragliding, sea kayaking, jet skiing, scuba diving and a glass bottom boat.

Basic but pleasant apartments

We had a nice week in Cala n Bosch at the Roc Lago Apartments.
On first impressions, late at night, I was a little underwhelmed. However, once organised, it was fine. The 2 bedrooms were clean and comfortable and the bathroom and lounge were basic but functional and gave the added space for a family. We didn't cook at all. The kitchen is 2 hob rings which are very slow to heat up, a dodgy looking microwave, and a fridge. They come in every day to change towels, make the beds and empty the bins, which for self catering, really impressed me. The supermarket over the road sells nice fresh bread and croissants, so we made breakfast and ate it outside on the terrace. You have to pay extra for the TVs remote- we didn't bother, 30 Euro for the key to the safe for the week- you get a 10 Euro deposit back. You can eat at the hotel, but we are out every evening. El Pato was our favourite. The free wifi only works in reception or by the pool - pay extra if you need it in your room too. No ants - just keep your kitchen free of lots of sugar and nice and clean - we didn't see one ant! Staff were ok but we didn't really need them. We were disappointed that we couldn't keep our room on later (we were willing to pay) because they were fully booked. We had a late flight so it meant keeping bags with us by the pool, cases in a luggage room, but no where to shower or change other than the grubby poolside toilets. The pool gets busy and loud at times - it's a family resort - beach is great.

Excellent location close to all shops and restaurants, safe for kids, aqua rock water park 5mins away. Buses to Ciutadella outside hotel beach about a 10min walk. Marina only 5mins away. However, I would urge people to go elsewhere with similar budget (£1300 for a week I spent) was horrified with the small ants in all rooms had to get rid everyday. Asked cleaners to spray insect spray they duly didn't have any. Rooms lacked towels and toilet paper. Bit on the small side.
The worst mattresses ever ... I travel a lot. Need to see a physio about back and neck pain.

We paid for a 'superior' apartment but were placed in an unloved looking apartment across the road from reception...it was ok but the decor was old and shabby. On questioning what was superior about it we were told they had made a mistake, were moved the next day and given free internet access for the week as compensation. Our new apartment was much nicer...modern, light and airy with adequate self catering facilities. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Bedding/towels were changed once in the week, apartment cleaned twice. There are 2 pools, one in each complex, both are good. The one over the road is more relaxed in a garden setting. Cala n Bosch has loads of restaurants around the harbour next to the hotel and there are 2 sandy beaches behind the harbour with lovely clear blue sea and a few fish for snorkelling fans! We would go back for sure. A nice easy family holiday.

The location was fantastic, close to the marina.

We were staying in one of the two bedroom apartments, which was very basic.
For 4 adults sharing, the second bedroom was too small, adequate for children.
We also struggled with only one mirror in the bathroom, with four women sharing!
The location was good, found the pool area too busy, but found another hotel with a quiet pool area nearby which made our holiday.
For a reasonably priced holiday we were happy to put up with the basic apartment, but would probably not return.

Good location - disappointing service

We returned to these apartments after 9 years. They haven't really changed! Good location, nice pool and our apartment overlooked the marina. However, the air conditioning was broken and, after complaining, I was told the air conditioning machines were new and, as under guarantee, could not be repaired by the hotel's own maintenance team. This was not my problem! We were given two portable machines, both of which were very noisy and had an outlet pipe which actually became very hot :(. The family in our neighbouring apartment told us they had been in ours initially and had been moved! We had been told there were no apartments to which we could have moved, apart from a one-bed, which was up a lot of steps and not suitable for my daughter who has mobility problems. We were offered meals in the hotel as compensation, which we eventually had three of - we hadn't wanted all-inclusive as we wanted to experience local restaurants. We were told, as our booking was through Expedia, we would not be able to have any compensation from the hotel directly as they didn't have our money!! The staff seemed to be trying to help but, whenever I was told management would be around, they simply weren't. Apart from the uncomfortable heat, the accommodation was adequate and clean. The food that we ate in the restaurant was fresh, plenty of choice and service was adequate. Nice pool, ten minute walk to beach and the marina is a lovely area to walk around and sit by.

The apartments were spotless, and well laid out.

The whole experience was fantastic. the staff were very polite and helpful, the facilities were spot on.
The breakfast was really good value for money, and plenty of it.

The location was right next to the shops, and the local bus stop. The beach was only five minutes away. You could also see the harbour from the hotel.

We would definatley go back there.

Location excellent, staff couldn't be more helpful, apartment clean, spacious and very comfortable. Poolside is more suited to families with young children and loungers have no cushioned mat. That would be my only gripe but a very small one!
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend Roc Lago Park and will definitely visit again.

Great room for the price

I was pleasantly surprised with the size and quality of the room for the price and it was in a great location. However i didn't like that they wanted to charge extra for things like the room safe, wifi, and the tv remote! Also, it was a self contained apartment but they did not supply anything to do the dishes with, when i asked the housekeeper, she laughed at me and said i have to buy it...so i left the dishes for her to do after we checked out.

Went self catering in 2 bed apartment for 2 weeks. Very poorly equipped - no wine glasses, cafetiere, teapot or scissors. One sharp knife, no bread knife. (asked for wine glasses and told they are not available in self catering!) 2 hot plates (only one worked) no oven or grill. Microwave but no microwavable containers. Minimum crockery and cutlery. Probably the worst equipped 3 star self catering I have ever stayed in. We were near the road which was very noisy and the bins of the hotel across the road were emptied noisily at 3.30am daily!. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Cleaning 6 out of 7 days. Clean sheets and towels regularly. Nice place and good position convenient to marina, but a little \"tired\" in places. Would I go back? probably not these apartments.

Great location

Standard apartments over the road from main complex but has own pool and bar. we preferred being in standard apartment as this complex a lot quieter than the main one as noise from entertaining all day.
Apartment had toaster, kettle, fridge and microwave. Bring your own hairdryer as one in bathroom waste of time. Reception staff very knowledgeable. Only ate in hotel restaurant once as preferred the food in the many surrounding restaurants.

Room was basic but clean. Couple of little niggles were sorted out promptly by the hotel staff. Breakfast plentiful but a bit stodgy for my taste, didn't try the evening meal so can't comment on that. The pool areas were clean and pleasant - one pool which seemed quite busy with children's activities etc but the other was quieter. Nothing fancy but it was all fine as a base for the holiday.

Best thing is its location - shop across the road, lots of restaurants nearby. Very close to the harbour and only a short walk to the beach. There's also a bus stop just over the road if you want to get out and about and the buses are quite frequent.

No iron in the rooms though, and is a hefty charge of €11 and €15 deposit. Hotel Reps were really helpful. Maid came every day with fresh towels. Overall a lovely place to stay!

We knew we weren't going to a Mandarin Oriental, early season prices were great and the staff was friendly.
We were happy to ignore the knackered furniture, the tv not working despite giving £10 deposit for a remote, no toilet paper for a day and a half, the dusty blankets, the 3 days of recycled food and paying for beer not fit for consumption. We understand.... Two days before departure we requested to have a late check out, that by the way its available for a fee, but the night before leaving we were told that although we wanted to pay for a check out before their official checking in time, next days guest had priority over us and that the room will be occupied 2 hours before the check in. Only when we left we were offer a storage room for our luggage!! Nice one

very dated apartment, nice location near pool

Upon first impressions we were extremely disappointed with our standard apartment; it was very dated with peeling paintwork and old fashioned furniture; overall layout was not brilliant either. However, once unpacked and after a day or so we did get used to it. Due to initial disappointment, we did ask for an upgrade to a superior apartment however this was on the Friday and we were told there was no availability until the Monday; this would also cost a fair bit extra. We actually withdrew this request once we realised that the superior apartment layout was not really that much different, these newer apartments were also across the road on the main complex site and we soon come to appreciate our apartment location which was situated near the pool area; and on our complex side appeared much more relaxed. Easy access to internet in reception area for a small fee. Wifi difficult to obtain locally. Early morning alarm call requested and honoured.

Watch out for early check out

The only problem with the hotel was the lack of cooperation on the last day. With an 11am checkout and a 10pm flight we wanted a shower about 2pm, the staff were not very cooperative and we faced a lot of hassle getting showered.

We were a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 children aged 15, 12 and 8. The hotel was great, very clean and friendly and the staff so helpful. A couple of times our air conditioner stopped working but after a call to reception, a maintenance man appeared 10 mins later and had it back on in no time.
The food was also of an exceptional standard. It was buffet style with lots of choice and very reasonably priced, in fact our kids didn't want to eat anywhere else!
Our best comments have to be saved for the amazing entertainment staff, Daniele, Rado Marlen and Suzanna. They made the holiday so much fun with lots of different entertainment for both adults and children. They worked so hard every day and always had a smile and a welcome for everyone. We would definitely go back to this hotel!

Excellent Value without compromising on Quality

We only needed somewhere for one night, so wanted something cheep and cheerful. The Roc Lago far exceeded our expectations. Spotlessly clean, two reasonable sized rooms, air conditioning. Our apartment had a lovely view of the harbour, and I think most did. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend these apartments for both short stop over like us but also for a longer stay.

My partner and I have tried various hotels and apartments in Menorca and would definately say that this is one of the better ones. It is ideally situated right at the side of the marina in Cala'n Bosch, so not far to walk to the bars and restaurants and only 5 minutes from the beach.
The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the apartments and all the public areas were very clean and also wheelchair friendly.
The apartments were cleaned and towels changed every other day.
We stayed on half board basis and although the choice was limited the food was generally good and as long as you didn't mind chips with everything you were ok.
Overall we had a very enjoyable holiday and would certainly recommend the Roc Lago Park to friends.

Accueille très bien, le logement était bien mais beaucoup de fourmis, le petit déjeuner était inclus dans le pris : très bon avec du choix et du changement en fonction des jours, seule bémol les jus de fruit ne sont pas très bon.

Teníamos un apartamento de una habitación. Las instalaciones son viejas, pero está muy limpio y bien mantenido. Los jardines, piscina y zonas comunes impecables. Las camas muy cómodas. Nos pareció un poco ridículo que nos quisieran cobrar 1,50€ por darnos jabón para los platos y una esponja. Por lo demás la estancia fue magnífica. Teniendo en cuenta el precio por noche, la calidad del apartamento era adecuada.

El apartamento esta muy bien comunicado, las playas más conocidas están a pocos km y la cala bosh está super cercana andando.
La limpieza es lo peor de los apartamentos, en toda la semana no han sido capaces de barrer y fregar el suelo (únicamente hacian la cama y nos cambiaban las toallas a diario) cuando creo que con la situación que hay en la actualidad es importante.

Nos gustó muchímo el entorno,jardines super bien cuidados.

No nos gustó estar rodeados de apartamentos de adolescentes,molestan muchísimo y son muy reincidentes en volver a molestar al día siguiente.......

Prima appartement en mooie bestemming.

Mooie locatie met uitzicht over de haven, dichtbij het strand en veel restaurants. Wij verbleven met een baby en zaten op de bovenverdieping met ons appartement. Niet handig met de buggy om deze meerdere keren per dag naar boven te sjouwen. Niet super modern maar alles in goede staat. Personeel en bevolking zijn erg vriendelijk, al met al een fijne vakantie gehad!

L’établissement est situé dans une zone touristique. Proche d’une plage, de restaurants, de supermarché.. bref proche de tout ! Les équipements de la kitchenette sont très limités. Il serait bien de mettre à disposition des bols pour pouvoir prendre au moins le petit déjeuner à l’appartement. Sinon les équipes sont très disponibles et à l’écoute. Les petits pbs de maintenance ( ampoule , grillé pain en panne ) sont résolus dans le 1/4h. Les réceptionnistes sont très accueillants et sympathiques. Je conseille cet établissement.

Esse hotel é muito bom!!!! Fica próximo à restaurantes e praia. O hotel é muito grande mas mesmos assim os funcionários são muito atenciosos. Tem uma piscina boa e estacionamento na rua gratuito. Pretendemos voltar e com certeza dicaremos no mesmo hotel

A nosotros nos tocó uno de los apartamentos más alejados del puerto, por lo que era mucho más tranquilo. Se tarda unos 5 minutos andando a la playa.

Excelente relación calidad/precio. Nos tocó en alto, cerca de recepción. Apartamento renovado con suelo claro. Es importante que te toque uno renovado, los no renovados no están igual de bien. Todo muy limpio y mucha luz. Menaje de cocina escaso aunque no se usó. Colchones bien. Tamaño justo para 4 personas pero correcto. Personal encantador. Falta una zona de recepciones algo mayor. Desayunos bien y buena calidad aunque falta algo de variedad. La única pega el yogur, que he sido incapaz de comerlo por su acidez. Las cenas con buena calidad pero escasa variedad. Para el comedor pondría un 6,5 un bien alto. La ubicación es muy buena. Si puedo, y no se vuelven locos con los precios, repetiría sin duda.

Posizione ok. Ideale per famiglie.

Posizione comoda e ben servita con diversi ristoranti e negozi.
Unica pecca il servizio di pulizia. Eravamo in quattro persone e due giorni hanno portato asciugamani solo per due. Una volta hanno rifatto solo una camera su due :(
Posizione tranquilla anche per dormire. Buono per famiglie.

Mooi app.complex aan charmant, levendig haventje

Was onze derde keer in deze accommodatie . Het was 2*, nu 3 . De mensen werken zich uit de naad voor u . Stanka en Arcadio ,dank u ! Elke dag cleaningservice , enkele keren / week nieuwe lakens ook. Animatieprogramma in 3 schiften elke dag , voor jong tot oud. Met de meeste touroperators ook gratis en onbeperkt toegang tot nabijgelegen aquapark . Het complex ligt op eerste verdiep tov jachthaven wat een mooi uitzicht geeft . Eten in restaurant van hotel of in haven , keuze genoeg en zeer betaalbaar . Winkels vlakbij , Spar , supermarkt, kledij , souvenirs , sport , ... bezoek zeker ook es Charlie’s pub als je graag een liedje karaoke zingt ( dagelijks ) . Je kan mooi wandelen gans rond het haventje . Allerlei watersporten + boot-en andere voertuigen verhuur mogelijk ter plaatse. Strand( en) nabij . Meerdere ligbedden aan vervanging toe en wat meer parasols mag ook . Vraag ook naar de zilver en/of gouden bonnetjes , deze kan je kopen en gebruiken voor consumpties aan goedkopere prijzen aan de bar.

Ubicación perfecta, las habitaciones perfectas para ir en pareja o en familia, un lugar muy tranquilo para descansar, y muchos restaurantes cerca para comer, ideal para ir a las playas más bonitas, el personal del hotel encantador, siempre atentos, y ya he ido varios años y volveré sin lugar a dudas.

Vicino al porto ma pessimo servizio.

Abbiamo soggiornato in luglio, io e la mia ragazza. Ci viene consegnato, appena arrivati, un appartamento sporco (vetri e specchi puliti male, tenda della doccia da mettere, muri sporchi, cuscini e copriletti macchiati). Ci hanno dato un'altra stanza. Abbiamo principalmente avuto problemi con la pulizia della camera: nonostante stessimo via tutto il giorno tornavamo alla sera che la camera era ancora da pulire, mancavano gli asciugamani e la carta igenica...e quando restavamo in camera a pausa pranzo pretendevano di pulirci la stanza durante l'ora del silenzio (13.00-15.00). La piscina è troppo piccola per tutte le persone dell'hotel, è una gara a riservarsi le sdraio al mattino presto, è piena di bambini che la riempiono con i gonfiabili e non hai spazio per nuotare o muoverti in tranquillità. A colazione spesso se arrivavi dopo le 8.30-9.00 (la colazione iniziava alle 8.00) i vassoi di frutta erano già vuoti e non venivano ricaricati, stessa cosa per i succhi e gli affettati. L'hotel sembra essersi adattato al tipo di clientela che maggiormente lo frequenta: gli inglesi; quindi la colazione all'inglese (bacon, fagiolini uova e quant'altro) era sempre impeccabile, la pulizia degli spazi probabilmente è meno importante dal momento che a parer mio come clientela sono maleducati sia in piscina che nel tener bene una stanza. Peccato perchè la posizione dell'hotel è veramente comoda per godersi l'isola: punto strategico con vicino supermarket e nolleggi macchina.

Las habitaciones llenas de hormigas

Habitaciones penosas. Las hormigas estaban por todas partes: encima de la cama, por la maleta, el el suelo , la cocina, etc. Sobretodo por la noche

No había mucha limpieza.
El personal de recepción muy indiscreto. Criticando a otros huéspedes que se habían quejado de las hormigas. Muy poco profesional.
