We visited Valentin star Menorca 5th time.
Very good experience again. Food exelent, staff very friendly. The man who did omlet every day to me is a master.
Entertaiment teem exelent. Lidia and Antony- thank you for your commitment to make our holidays great again.

Every member of staff made you feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for them and they all had a smile. It's the little touches that make this hotel special - music playing in the bathroom, a fruit plate and bottle of water on arrival, a pillow menu, free snacks and cava handed out around the pool everyday. The food was excellent and the location perfect.

Great return visit to Valentin Star Hotel. Lovely hotel with great staff. We had a pool view room which I would recommend. Breakfast was very good, we didn't have dinner preferring to try restaurants around the Marina. Really enjoyable week.

We stayed in room 238 ,it was a room with a pool view and balcony ,the only problem was the balcony was only 2ft wide so not enough space to relax on. Most rooms had good sized balconies apart from ours and 3 adjoining rooms because of restaurant canopy below. Everything else about the hotel was great ,clean and well maintained.
We booked half board, the breakfast was really good and the evening meals were also both buffet style. You could eat outside at the restaurant but had to pay €5
for the privilege which we did on 1st night only not really worth it.
Staff at hotel were very good, reception, restaurant, bar and cleaners are a credit to the hotel

I wasn’t expecting the room to be big but it’s very spacious and clean. The staff are very friendly and polite especially at the restaurant. They are always smiling and give the best they can to satisfy the guests. The location is perfect- very close to the beach and the shopping square. We enjoyed the entertainment in the evening- everyone is having fun dancing. I will definitely come back and will recommend it to everyone.

Decent breakfast buffet with plenty of options. All hotel personnel encountered were helpful and friendly. Self-parking lot is a pain to get to relative to the hotel. It was surprising and unexpected that I had to pay for use of the room safe.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Staff are a huge plus for this hotel, but the rooms could do with a bit of an upgrade, and the telly was not straight on the wall 🤔😂, but did not effect our overall enjoyment at this hotel. We would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a great holiday

Excellent hotel. Would definitely stay again. Large comfortable room with balcony and bathroom. Large tv but unfortunately no English channels apart from BBC world and Sky news.We had a pool view but the outside rooms are the same. Food and choice was very good except it could have been hotter. Quite good entertainment every night on the outside of the hotel open to everyone. Staff friendly and helpful with pretty good English (certainly better than my Spanish). The pool area is large and plenty of loungers and beds with bar and lunch area. There is an excellent sun terrace overlooking the large (but cold) pool.

All the staff are absolutely amazing at this hotel, so friendly and go the extra mile to make you feel special - we were pleasantly surprised when we got a birthday bottle delivered to our door for my boyfriend during our stay, even got a card and biscuits! (It’s the little things) The guests were lovely also, it is a well sized hotel so you don’t feel swamped by other people, but also not too small - you can be social and still keep yourself to yourself when you want to. The evening entertainment was amazing with a high standard of performers. The day time activities were well constructed too - the lady who ran the pool volleyball seemed to really be able to bring all the guests together and have a laugh, the whole hotel was entertained and wanted to watch the game. From start to finish we had a perfect holiday and the hotel was a huge part of this. The only small cons I would mention was the food, this was all cooked to a high standard but we did struggle to eat our food while it was hot as it is of course a buffet style, and while this is to be expected at times, we seemed to never be too lucky in getting our food temperature right. The restaurant manager greeted you every time you entered and would find you a table if you needed help

This was our 5th visit to the Valentin Star and we will be going back. The staff are very helpful. The sun terrace offers an alternative to sun beds in the day. The entertainment and activity programme is varied from yoga to aqua volleyball. The hotel has a relaxed and friendly vibe. The food is excellent. The hotel is in a good location being right next to the marina in Cal'n Bosch and within walking distance of the beach and bus stops.

Absolutely lovely stay! We are so pleased with our extended bank holiday trip at the Valentin Star Hotel. The room location was perfect and the breakfast buffet was incredible!

The only thing that we can put a finger on is that the recommended shuttle bus was terrible and the one time we ordered lunch at the pool bar the food took ages and then arrived cold.
We did not know the shuttle bus would take as long as it did. We were the first to arrive and then had to wait for the next few flights to arrive that had the remaining passengers. Then the bus broke down on the way extending the travel time. In the end it took us 3 hours to get to the hotel and being there a short time it felt like a bit of a waste. We cancelled the return bus and got a taxi instead which was much better.
The hotel location and service was incredible and we would without a doubt go back!

It was a peaceful sanctuary, especially around the beautiful pool. Never short of sunloungers. Room was spacious. Staff were so helpful and courteous. The hotel was right next to the marina with good local shops and amenities. Beach was lovely, although €10 per sunlounger there seemed a bit steep...nothing to do with the hotel though. We'd definitely like to revisit. It was the perfect place for a relaxed and peaceful honeymoon. Oh...and the food was sublime.

Nice large room, great pool, lots of loungers, good food, helpful staff, but very odd they make you pay extra daily for clean towels and use of the room safe and put deposits down. Also, they ask men to wear long trousers for dinner which is good, but then allow jeabs and jogging pants so a minority look like they have just left the beach...

Breakfast buffet has so much variety you cannot fail to find something you like. Enjoyed the evening entertainment. Excellent staff all round and they ensure you have the most relaxing holiday ever. One niggle is being charged for a safe. Four star hotels should provide these for free.

Fantastic location, right on the marina with bars, restaurants and shops on the doorstep.
Staff couldn’t do enough and were really pleasant.
Food choice was good especially at breakfast and it was great to have a choice of indoor or outdoor dining.
Entertainment was mostly good with two choices per night.
All in all, an excellent hotel and will definitely return .

The Hotel was great, I couldn't fault it, the atmosphere of the hotel made it into a really relaxing holiday, the food was really good, plenty of choices always being topped up as it was a buffet, the rooms were spacious cleaned every day and very comfortable, the staff were really obliging and polite, the bar areas and pool were really good amenities, plus the entertainment provided by the Hotel suited a broad age range, overall this was a really good experience.

Food in the restaurant , breakfast and dinner , was varied and consistently excellent , as was the supervision and service. Room was nice and cleanliness throughout very good. Staff very friendly , pool facility very good. Patio outside roadside room was unattractive and didn't use , slight traffic noise. Some of the evening entertainment was a bit dated and weak but it's not an important part of a holiday for us. Average guest age a bit on the high side and we're in our sixties , but adult only policy was welcome after a noisy crying babies flight.

This is our 5th stay at this hotel and will definitely not be our last. The staff are so efficient, hard working and friendly. The whole hotel is spotless, the food is fantastic with a wide variety to choose from and the entertainment is 1st class with Stefan and Lydia. The hotel sits on the edge of a marina so you can enjoy an evening walk to burn off some calories from all the delicious food.
This is adults only so suited us down to the ground. You can get a bus to the old capital Cuitadella for less than 2 euros each way which is a must. It only takes 20 minutes to get there. Would highly recommend this hotel for a nice relaxing holiday.

We loved the adults only component. The location was ideal with great access to the water and the marina with all its shops and restaurants. The property was beautiful, with an amazing pool, plenary of lounge chairs and umbrellas, large indoor areas for relaxing, and an entertainment lounge with free shows every night.
The included breakfast buffet was right out of a cruise ship, with selections galore, and even made to order hot foods. And the daily activities were lovely; I especially enjoyed taking Yoga and Tai Chi from Lydia.
Our main complaints were that that the jacuzzi was only tepid, not appealing at all, and quite a disappointment. The pool water was too chilly to use. And our shower stall was microscopic with the chinziest of shower curtains. It had no shelves for toiletries, so we had to put them outside the shower on the sink, which made it an exercise in futility as to keeping the water in the shower. We noticed the room next door had an actual tub/ shower modern unit, so I don’t know if our bathroom was meant for wheelchair bound individuals or what (although there was a small lip around the base, so not sure how that would have worked anyway).

This a perfect oasis for adults who want a holiday away from kids.. I can honestly say there is nothing about the hotel that we didn't like.. The room was lovely, clean and spacious with a view of the marina from the balcony and all the facilities you would need including tea/coffee making machine, hairdryer, a fridge, slippers and bathrobes.. The water was always piping hot and the added bonus was a gift of a bottle of Cava when we arrived.. All the staff were really friendly and helpful and the entertainment was good..The pool area was great and we've never see such a huge jacuzzi.. Loved it so much we're already planning our return trip..

I cannot fault this hotel. I had a spacious room with a very roomy balcony. It was extremely clean as was the whole hotel. As a lone traveller, I find a buffet breakfast quite a challenge and in the past I have returned from the buffet to find my table has been cleared (despite having left unfinished drinks etc). The dining room staff here were so well organised and attentive that I felt totally at ease and comfortable. For that I think they deserve special thanks although every member of staff was friendly and respectful.

Lovely hotel close to all amenities,

Every one who works at the hotel are so friendly and happy speaking perfect English. The entertainment was very good every night in the hotel and outside in the Terrazza bar. Very good selection of restaurants in the harbour. Good selection of shops nearby. Swimming pool in the hotel was warm and clean with complimentary towels. The hotel was extremely clean and welcoming with a lovey smell. We went to Ciutadella on the bus which was very straightforward and hired a car for a few days to visit Mahon and other bays and villages.

The hotel smells amazing.

Our short stay was very comfortable. Staff was very attentive and friendly. Despite our room facing the restaurants, the noise level was at a minimum. The activities die down before midnight, so it’s all good.

Our room was very clean. Our bed was very comfortable. The toiletries were complete.

There is an airport service that the hotel offers via a third party. The pick up is early because the bus picks up other passengers from different hotels around the area. Ours was at 5:30 am. We got to the airport a little bit after 7 am, giving us enough time for our 9:25 flight. The staff also offered us our breakfast “to go” on the morning of our departure.

We would stay here again.

Beware the noise from the nightly entertainment

The hotel itself is very comfortable, however as an Adults only hotel i expected a little more quiet times. The pool has games going on nearly all day and then at 10pm the Live entertainment starts up and goes until 11.30-12pm. It is very hard to escape from this loud noise. If you are looking for a quiet peaceful hotel then suggest you look elsewhere.

We would stay here again!

A very restful stay - hotel clean and tidy, food in the restaurant was very acceptable and fairly varied. Sushi one evening was absolutely brilliant.

Garden areas were very well maintained and attractive.

Beds a little firmer than we would prefer, but clean and adequate. Fridge in the room was little more than a cupboard with a light in it - didn't cool anything at all.

As others have commented the drinks are a little pricey, but I guess one is paying a premium for the lovely comfortable chairs and good quality entertainment - but if they had been a tad cheaper we would probably have spent a lot more on them. So maybe think they're missing a trick there.

Good evening entertainment, with a choice of a stage outside the front of the hotel, or at the bar area inside the hotel.

Parking free, but a 5 minute walk away unless you find a space in front of the hotel.

WiFi was free and worked well throughout the hotel. But by contrast there was a charge for using the room safe, a first for me - cannot comprehend why they would provide this facility and then charge for it - a strange policy I've never encountered before.

All in, we would definitely chose to stay at the Valentin Star again.

a lovely relaxing hotel on the right side of quiet i.e not boring or dull just relaxing. the staff are lovely, the beds comfortable and rooms clean. Breakfast was great with everything you could want. the pool and it’s area beautiful. location is great. i would always pay extra for a pool side room and if you are lucky enough to get a ground floor then you have it made ! it’s also not too expensive for snacks and drinks. i would highly recommend this hotel

Very good hotel for a relaxing break. Staff generally excellent and do all they can to make your stay a good one. Room large and airy. Food excellent and varied - dining staff attentiveness and cheerfulness was variable. One downside - Bit of a squash around pool and sometimes not enough beds. Not enough umbrellas and because they were fixed in the ground can’t move the umbrella so it covers your sunbed - have to rely on your neighbour putting theirs up too. Location - central in the marina and town with many restaurants and bars. Small beach within minutes. Not a lot to see or do locally so you may want to use buses or hire a car to get out and about.

Overall a nice holiday (perhaps a little dated). The staff were all lovely with the exception of one that we encountered on reception when trying to book the return transfer to the airport. We had previously been told there was no issue with this but then encountered quite a rude hostile attitude when we returned to confirm.

Superb hotel in a great location

This hotel is in a great location on the marina in Cala’n Bosc.

We had a pool view room which was a really good size, with a lovely comfortable bed and spotlessly clean.

It was the final week of the season but you would never have guessed that by the attitude of the hotel staff. They were extremely efficient, polite and friendly. The buffet breakfast provides enough choice for even the most discerning palate.

The pool was a bit too cold for me but some brave people did venture in for a swim. The huge jacuzzi offered a far warmer alternative for us less brave souls.

There are two beaches (one rocky and one sandy) within 500 metres of the hotel.

The resort was closing down during our visit with a lot of the restaurants already shut up for the winter. It wasn’t a problem for us as having previously visited in the summer months we know how busy the marina can get. we wanted a relaxing break and that is exactly what we got.

We thoroughly enjoyed our break and would have no hesitation in booking Hotel Valentin Star again.

What can I say! Lovely Hotel, staff, food (including the champagne on tap for breakfast)! EVERYONE at this Hotel is so Professional, friendly and smiling! Lovely Pool and Jacuzzi. Large rooms! And no children :-)

All the staff were very friendly & helpful. Well run hotel next to a lovely Marina. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Good selection of toiletries, replenished daily. Kettle, milk, coffee/Tea & biscuits provided daily.

Lovely hotel with super staff

My wife and I just had a 10 day stay at the Valentin Star, and could not fault it. The hotel is perfectly situated for the local harbour restaurants and beach, and the friendliness of the staff, just made everything so nice.
We were sorry to leave, and would recommend it to anyone wanting a stress free holiday.

Great food.

The food in the hotel was the best we have ever had. The choice and variety at each meal was really good and well presented. Staff were very good as well and always happy to help. It is an ideal position for all the local amenities, bars, beach and bus stop. The only down side we found was people smoking but that could apply to anywhere in resort. Several times we moved on as surrounded by smokers, outside obviously. Would definitely recommend especially if you wanted a laid back holiday.

Great hotel and location but won't suit all...

Great hotel and location right by the marina and a 5 minute walk to beach. The big pool and massive Jacuzzi are set centrally within the hotel so completely sheltered. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms a good size very clean and have everything you need including free WiFi. Note we thought it was worth the money to pay for a pool view room. Evening entertainment of a high standard. Food plentiful and varied but lacked decent veggie options for me which is something I find in all Spanish hotel buffets. We had a lovely time as we just wanted to relax but the hotel is definitely suited to older guests with the average age being 60+, something for younger people to be aware of (we did go Sept so it may be there are more younger people high season). We definitely recommend but bear this in mind.

Quiet, clean and comfortable

Great holiday at Valentin Star. Room was comfortable and cleaned to a high standard. Great location, by the marina. 5 mins walk to beach and loads of restaurants close by,
Food at the hotel was great - everything you could want for breakfast with a great gluten free selection, and varied choices at dinner, although drinks were expensive throughout the hotel - generous measures though.
Staff were all friendly and helpful and great sized pool with lots of sunbeds but limited umbrellas. Pool is cold when you first get in but well maintained.
Entertainment was very good - all tribute bands and singers, but 2 acts to choose from most nights - 1 in the hotel and one in the terrace bar at the front.
Would highly recommend this adults only hotel to all ages.

Excellent hotel in good location

Close to harbour with plenty of restaurants and walking distance to lovely beach. Large rooms with plenty of cupboard space and nice bathroom. Staff were friendly and always happy to help. Superb breakfast buffet, with everything you could possibly want for that meal, and eggs and pancakes cooked to order. No problem getting a sun lounger by the pool (and this was peak time) and towels provided free. Excellent service here. Very happy that we chose this hotel.

Clean, we'll run hotel with polite staff

On arriving at the hotel we decided to a room upgrade (€120) without seeing our initial room, room was clean, good bathroom and over looked the pool but after seeing the rest of the hotel we probably did not need to upgrade, however the hotel was very clean everywhere, very good breakfast choice, fresh juices & smoothies all staff very friendly, excellent pool area and decent entertainment every night also the hotel is located right on the marina, would highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay in the area.

Very nice hotel

Very nice adult only hotel close to the marina and beaches in Cala'n Bosch. Nice relaxed atmosphere and, surprisingly no hassle with getting a sunbed around the nice large pool during the time we were there! Buffet style food service which was of a very good standard with a reasonable amount of choice and variety for a week long stay that we had, and waiting staff we very helpful if a little slow at times to clear.
Drinks at the hotel are a little on the expensive side and it was a confusing why, if you bought a drink at the hotel bar, you were not allowed to take it into dinner with you!!? It was also baffling and a perhaps little old fashioned that men had to wear long trouser o dinner and had to wear a top if eating at the pool bar but that ladies did not appear to be restricted by the same formalities.
Entertainment in the hotel was of a high standard, particularly that provided by Stefan & Lydia at the pool of Yoga, Aquafit and Water volleyball.There was a good choice of evening entertainment at the hotel although that provided outside served the hotel bar which also catered for the general public so it was not easy for hotel guests to get a seat.
Overall a very pleasant stay and would stay there again.
