Disappointing hotel. Poop area was nice but that was really it. Communal reception restaurant and bar very disappointing and certainly not 5 star.

Our experience at the hotel was disappointing, especially with service and communication. We contacted the hotel several times before our stay to say it was a birthday trip—after seeing reviews about others receiving thoughtful touches—but got no reply or acknowledgment on arrival. That lack of care continued throughout. Twice, a cleaner walked into our room without knocking—once while we were changing and again while someone was in the toilet—even though the “do not disturb” sign was up. We booked kayaking through the hotel thinking it was guided, but nothing was explained. When we saw we’d have to carry the kayak ourselves and go out alone, we didn’t feel comfortable and didn’t go. We were also given the wrong taxi number after visiting Cova d’en Xoroi and ended up stranded for two hours, asking other tourists for help.

The spa wasn’t turned on when we arrived, and there was no one around to assist for 15 minutes. On day one, we used our €40 voucher to book a sunbed, but it was taken when we ordered water, with no explanation that it was actually a drinks credit. We only found that out on day three. It also felt unfair to charge €80/€40 for beds as hotel guests, especially as we couldn’t get one most days—and service clearly dropped when we weren’t on them.

Our room didn’t match the photos online, two of us had to use an open shower with no privacy, and the room wasn’t cleaned or sheets changed on some days. Overall, it felt impersonal, disorganised, and disappointing.

Stayed here July 15-19. Advertised as a 5 star - it’s is 100% not a 5 star hotel. 3 - 4 (pushing it)
When I arrived I had to wait over 5 hours for a room. When I got one, it was facing a car park and stank of cigarettes. Moved to another room, still really poor. Marina facing - you can reach the sink from bed. It’s a very tired hotel. Expedia really need to get these standards better!

Area is also very tired, loads of shutdown shops, restaurants. Terrible restaurants, like going back to the 80s.

Staff were on the whole good. Bar one receptionist who needs customer service training.

And the pool entertainment “DJ” plays the same sound track over and over every day. Given it’s “adults only” loads of irritating kids thinking they’re at an Ibiza pool party.

Fabulous stay at Lago Resort

Amazing trip LAGO really go the extra mile to make guests feel special (they decorated the room for a birthday surprise, with balloons and complimentary wine). We went half board this time and it was well worth it , the food is delicious and beautifully presented.
Everything is so clean and well kept with a really chill laid back vibe.
The pool and DJ was great and the Saturday night entertainment by the pool fabulous.
Definitely coming back again.

In general it’s a nice resort. We stayed in a marina view room and had a large outdoor space. The room was a bit tired and minimalist. The air conditioning wasn’t very effective at all and the hotel gave us a fan and a portable air conditioning unit which was appreciated. The fact they had air conditioning units to hand indicated to us that they know their air con isn’t great.
The breakfast had good variety and the staff were pleasant in the morning.
The pool area was kept clean.
The gym was ok but it was quite warm as the air con wasn’t very effective.

Nice hotel and the standout would be the pool and sun lounger, Balinese bed. Drinks offered by the bar were very tasty. The AC did not work properly and the temperature could not be adjusted so we had to ask for standing fan. We felt like this is not something that should be expected in a five star hotel especially during scorching hot summer. We went for the half board option though quality of food was good they could do with more selection on the menu. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall the hot room was a huge letdown. They definitely should look into installing better AC units especially for room like suite where the area is huge.

Lovely stay- we came for my birthday and the room was decorated with a bottle of wine and macaroons so this was a very nice surprise.
The breakfast was one of the best we have had, so much choice to cater for everyone and lots of fresh food. We only had bed and breakfast but were in a great location as we walked for dinner each night.

Best option in the aérea

We had a good time in this hotel, very central location, has many restaurants around, mostly belong to the same owner. They have also some fun pool party. Staff was kind and helpful. Unfortunately the walls are so tiny that we could hear the tv of the next room, not ideal at 1am if you have to catch a flight at 6am. Overall all good

We really liked the hotel. Since you walk in, it looks modern and clean. The people who work at the hotel are amazing, always willing to help and with a smile on their face. The rooms are large and spacious and have a small kitchen for people who do not want to eat out. Regarding food, the breakfast buffet is great, fruit, charcuterie cheeses and breads and fresh juice. The service is super efficient so you do not have to wait for tables, etc. There is both fine dining and more affordable dining close by. And there is a nice beach close by. Would definitely come back here.l

Amazing stay in a superior suite overlooking the pool area. Breakfast was very good and we enjoyed food from the Thai restaurant connected to the pool area. Went on a private boat trip organised by the reception staff. This was a beautiful afternoon.

Had a number of family trips to Menorca and has always promised ourselves a stay at this adults only hotel.
Wow, worth the wait, fantastic room with a balcony and harbour views, room comes with a fridge and a kettle with coffee machine. Large walk in shower.
Staff were brilliant, very attentive, breakfast was very good, we didn’t eat there in the evenings as we wanted to try diffemrt restaurants along the harbour.
Parking is a bit hit and miss but we always managed to park close to the entrance.
Would highly recommend this place for a couples get away.

Hot breakfast was cold every morning, even when we were first in the line at 7.30am. Continuous dripping of water in the toilet and the random flushing was unnerving. Unable to secure a sunbed around the pool on day 1, despite us being guests?! Book your taxi on the day because it cost us €70 each way but the hotel wanted to charge €120. Bit disappointing on the whole.

Lagos resort was perfect for a couples holiday - we had a suite which had a terrace and large kitchen area too.

Lovely staff, good facilities (gym, spa, pool and pool restaurant). They even put the woman’s World Cup final on for everyone to watch. Would recommend as a hotel if people want to stay in that area.

Only thing to point out is the marina area lets down the atmosphere a little. It’s great if you want a quick/cheap dinner but outside of the hotel restaurants there’s not to much going on (no late bars or finer restaurants). Also the main Cala en Bosch beach is super busy so you need to get down there early for a sun lounger. However, it’s a quick 30 minute bus /10 min taxi into main Cittadella which has a lovely atmosphere and lots of great restaurant bars.

We had a great stay at Casas del Lago and overall really enjoyed our time there, we’d definitely go back.

We were in a ‘Deluxe Room Terrace Marina View’. We knew this would be quite small but the Hotels.com description doesn’t make it clear that the bathroom isn’t separate - only the toilet. The shower and sink area are in the bedroom. I know this open-plan style saves space but personally I don’t like it - I would have booked a different room if I’d realised. There were a few niggles - the room needs a shelf in the shower, and one under the basin to store wash bags. There are a few mirrors but none of them is in the right place to sit in the chair and do your hair/makeup and there’s no full-length mirror so you can’t ever see your whole outfit including shoes - this is a place where they are encouraging Instagram posts everywhere, so I was surprised by that! We stayed in a compact room in another hotel on Menorca during this trip, and it had all those things, so it should be possible in a small space. The fridge barely made things cold.

The staff in the restaurant and beach club were so helpful and nice! The reception team were less friendly and on the one day our room didn’t get cleaned, nobody apologized - they acted like I was kind of a pain for asking for somebody to take away our rubbish.

Pool area is fab and we upgraded to a shady cabana which I really recommend - so comfortable!

We loved exploring Menorca and the hotel made a perfect base.

Lago Resort is situated right at the marina, it has a great wiev over the yachts, and bars and restaurants around it. It is 3 minutes walk from a beach and bust stop (from which you can go to Ciutadella is just net to the hotel). Food is very good and varied, staff is friendly and generally helpful. The hotel lacks identity though, it partly tries to be a cool place with house music, funk, etc. DJ (excellent by the way) around the pool and then bingo in the evening. There is some wear and tear signs on it and it feels that it's slightly past its glory but it is still the coolest place in Cala'n Bosch. I think the building site next door didn't help but hopefully, that will be finished next season. One thing I found slightly uncomfortable was a sense that some staff was focused on just getting money off you. The evening entertainment was advertised using prices before tax; staff was keen to take payment to rent the kayak but disappeared when asked about the equipment.
Overall, despite some minor issues, it is a lovely hotel and I would go there again.

Fantastic location overlooking the harbour and a couple of minutes walk from the beach. Hotel is modern, airy and has been stylishly designed. Our room was generous in size (more of a mini apartment) and had a private area at both front and rear for sunbathing or relaxing with a drink. Plenty of sunbeds, but these could do with a bit of a clean to maintain the 4* rating. Unfortunately, noisy building work from site next door- hopefully will have been completed for 2020 season-but worth checking if a quiet time by the pool is important to you.
We felt the service from staff was generally poor (perhaps they were getting a bit de-mob happy as we stayed towards end of season), but daily room cleaning was missed, staff not interested in clearing up broken glass and failure to provide a booked picnic breakfast due to an early departure on our last morning was treated with a shrug of the shoulders. Disappointing really -more like Fawlty Towers than 4-Star!

The Hotel was perfectly situated for not only the beach, but the Marina with a fabulous selection of restaurants.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere with superb breakfast facilities, and great poolside bar.

The only downside was we could not get into our room until 3.30pm on the first day. We were also woken at 6am every morning with what sounded like furniture being dragged across the floor from what was we thought a storage area above our room.

The staff were pleasant and helpful, a good find as long as you do not mind the 50 minute run from the airport and a Taxi Fare of €70 each way.

I was ripped off

Unfortunately I was unlucky enough to be put in room 102. A “marina view” room, with nothing “marina” about it. When we complained to staff, they said ‘yes we know the room, and we know it isn’t good, but it is peak season so there are no other rooms available and we can’t move you or do anything about it’. It was only after constant complaining for two days that they looked hard enough and discovered another room was actually available to move us. No apologies, nothing! So I paid for two nights of a premium room for nothing - I call this theft. They shouldn’t advertise/sell this room as marina view at all. It’s a shame because the hotel was ok otherwise, and the good rooms were nice enough. I think I was just unlucky to receive the worst room, and then some terrible service as wel.

Positives: Good pool area, close to the beach, very good hotel boat trip (highlight), easy and cheap to take the bus to/from Cuitadella for an evening (bus stop outside hotel), good breakfast (fresh smoothies and fresh orange juice being the highlights), complimentary drinks in room, being relaxed about having own drinks around the pool, NO KIDS! Great Balinese beds and online booking system. The booking system worked very well, ive not seen that before and stops the arguments and having to get up at 6am to reserve a bed. Very Good idea.

Negatives: None really. Only slight negative was the pool DJ through the day. He was fine and played chilled music, but i'd rather listen to my own music at a lower volume.

Check in staff we dreadful and rude. We arrived early and when we finally went to the room us was a twin and had prepaid for a king. I was told no guarantee which I told them was not acceptable, I was laughed at! The restaurant staff and bar staff we excellent and honestly made the trip for us. We will return and hopefully avoid and grief at check in and cranky witch on the front desk 😁

This is a good hotel in a great location with own pool, pool bar etc. Our room was a good size, but aircon not working properly for the first 2-3 days and some attention required to fixings (toilet roll holder loose and hanging from the wall; front door blind had holes in it). Otherwise a good hotel with good buffet style meals in the main restaurant

The hotel is very modern with great SPA facilities and beach club. It is exactly as on pictures.
The staff at the hotel are very helpful and friendly.
There are bungalows near by which are part of the hotel. You can leave your car safe as there is a secure gate.
Breakfast was really good, with selection of fresh fruits, fresh juices, some continental and healthy options.
Hotel is near a marina where you can find lots of restaurants.
It is 15 min drive to Ciutadella.
There is a beach near by, about 5 min. walk.
I had a fantastic and relaxing stay, so will definitely recommend it.

Nice modern hotel. Location for beach is excellent and there is a bus stop directly outside the hotel, which takes you to Ciutadella town centre.
Would have liked a separate bathroom (as the shower was in the bedroom area). Room was adequate, but wished we’d chosen a different type of room. Our room was cleaned and towels changed every day. Unfortunately as it is end of season, most restaurants around the marina had already closed for the winter and there is none other nearby within walking distance. We weren’t too keen on the evening meal choices at the hotel either.
The pool was lovely and clean with lots of sun beds and sun umbrellas to use. The pool bar food was very nice, shame that this menu wasn’t used in the evenings. Overall we had a nice break and the staff were very friendly, from housekeepers,reception,bar and waitresses.

Stayed for 5 nights in a Marina chic room. Nice room but would have been better with a wardrobe rather than just a rail especially as the shower is in the room too. Had all mod cons and a comfy bed. Staff were all friendly. Breakfast was very good and plenty of choice. A nice relaxing atmosphere. Pool area was nice as was the spa.
The hotel offers evening meals at 4 other restaurants which is a great idea as evening meals were a bit limited with choices but although the hotel is open until the end of October the restaurants all closed on 1st October so we were only able to visit one before they closed. It would be nice if they all closed together.

This is an amazing resort and hotel. We stayed in a Cool Room Harbor view 1st night. Very good. Changed for a special event for this night to a POOL VIEW SUITE (The pictures uploaded are what is classed as a pool view room) at over 200 euros a night. Looked at the hotels.com website and was so looking forward to enjoying it. They categorize rooms as the same no matter what the location. So our end room without the pool view is entered by the pool area and classed as the same as the ones in the middle with the excellent views. I would check as they have around 8 of these rooms at the one end of the complex. Room was excellent but not a Pool View as shown. The resort is amazing, the breakfast is great. But buyer beware, they list rooms with the view in the brochure as shown, but you get for your money what we had.

Great stay

Great stay at Lagos resort. The staff were very helpful throughout my stay. Breakfast was great, lots of choice and English options available. Never a problem to get a sunbed always plenty available. Lots of shops near by, two beaches, a lighthouse and right next to a harbour. Great place to stay if you want a quiet relaxing time away.

We had a lovely stay; the hotel has a great modern design without being over the top and the staff were friendly and helpful.
The poolside DJ (when he turned up) and the evening music by the pool was great - very chilled out with a lovely relaxing atmosphere. When the DJ wasn't there the music was so quiet that you could hardly hear it which was a shame as it was a decent playlist.
Locations next to the harbour and restaurants was great - just across the road from a little beach and a few minutes walk to the water sports beach.
Breakfast was fantastic - brilliant variety(my vegan friend was even well looked after), good coffee and you can even have a glass of cava to start your day.

Perfect Hotel for a Surprise.

This hotel is amazing, I would highly recommend it. Perfect location, friendly and helpful staff, quiet, clean room and Ofcourse good food.
The harbour has some great restaurants however they do have a slight tourist touch, Ofcourse being on the harbour it is expected. If you’re looking for good food at a very decent price I would recommend the restaurant across the road from the hotel by the beach. Amazing fresh fish and other dishes.

I booked this hotel for my boyfriends birthday as a surprise we was both surprised with how amazing it was, the perfect getaway for pure relaxasation. I also leasised with the hotel to plan a surprise in our room, this was done efficiently, smooth and to a high expectation. Not to mention that the hotel had given us both a surprise after knowing it was my partners birthday, beautifully romantic! A bottle of wine and some roses to complete a romantic evening for two.

I will definitely be returning and highly recommend this to all.

Is a nice hotel close to bars restraunts a small harbour and shops, stayed in a bungalow which is a lot more private with there own pool shared with other bungalows. Was clean and modern would recommend to others.

Relaxing break

We have been coming here for many years and it keeps getting better. Love the adults only relaxing atmosphere overlooking the harbour. The staff are lovely and helpful. I was delivered a bottle of champagne to our room on my birthday which was a lovely gesture. Can't wait to go again.

Beautiful hotel at the marina

I loved this hotel. Modern n in a great location. Beach one side. Marina n restaurants the other side. N 1 minute walk to either. Rooms were spacious n trendy. Just to warn u that the shower is open glass so if your shy take note.

Fantastic location with fantastic staff service

This hotel is a gem and our stay was made extra special due to the ‘nothing is too much trouble’ attitude of all staff. I cannot say enough about the fantastic customer service!

We stayed under bed and breakfast as we prefer to go out for meals in the evening. The breakfast caters for everyone and we could not fault it.

We did try the evening buffet once, but the choice and quality was not a reflection of breakfast. However for €18.00 you can’t complain.

The pool and bar/lunch area catered for everyone and it was perfect. The pool is set up as a chill out area and the DJ sets the ambiance.

The only downside was our room. It was spacious but needs some modernisation. The bathroom was old and tired and the showered floods the bathroom after each use. There are better rooms we established but only after booking. Should we return in the future we will ensure we opt for a better room.

All in all a great hotel. We would return.

Have to say it's a very good hotel - modern design , clean rooms and facilities, delicious breakfast, and very attentive staff.
One mark less for the following:
- the beach bed booking system is pointless
- dinner is a bit boring comparing with local restaurants. I would recommend breakfast only rather than half/full board .

Another very enjoyable stay at Casas del Lago. Has to be the best place to stay in Cala en Bosch. Stayed half board in a suite. As usual the food was excellent.
Plenty of TV channels but nothing English.

Lovely hotel

Loved this hotel, it had been recently refurbished so everything was brand new. We had a garden view suite with great views over the marina and we were very close to the pool and restaurant area. Breakfast was fab with lots of choice - we were only B&B so couldn't comment on the evening buffet. Facilities were great and well maintained - particularly enjoyed the spa on the day when it rained! The resort was a bit quiet overall but that is to be expected at the beginning of May. Having said that there were still plenty of restaurants to choose from and it did mean we didn't have to fight for a sun lounger!

Very Nice Hotel with great pool and Harbour views.

We enjoyed our stay. However, we were disappointed when we arrived at 10.30am to find we had to wait for our room until 3pm then to be given an ordinary room and not the Suite that we had booked. They did change it without an explanation but we had a Twin Suite rather than a Double. It felt like they had tried to con us.
This was a shame as the rest of the week was good. The restaurant had a great Breakfast choice. The pool was lovely and the music very relaxing. The sunbathing area has a lovely view of the harbour and it is nice to be able just to walk around the harbour in the evenings and there are lots of good restaurants if you are not full board.
I would recommend this hotel.

This place is a little bit of paradise. It's beyond relaxing. Clean, fresh and modern. The facilities are fabulous and the staff very accommodating. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to escape reality to this beautiful place. Just go!

Lovely Relaxing adult only ,

My daughter and I found this adult only beech /spa hotel good choice. Lovely vibe, beautiful pool and surroundings, beach bar with shaded area for drinks/ eating.
Nice place to
Come back to after bustle of the harbour or beach.
There is music most of the day, DJ in afternoon, but its Chill Jazz, so relaxing.

Cala n Bosc is a small resort ideal for one weeks holiday in the sun. Our hotel was situated really good as beach,restaurants, and local bus for nearby resorts was within 5min walk. We got bus to Mahon for day trip where we did the glass bottom boat which was fab. We also went to the Saint Joan festival and the cultural of castle,convent,cathedral,market in nearby resort.

Stayed in the new chic room. Nice but weird

We stayed in a new chic marina room, very modern but small things need addressing. No toilet bin or any other bin in room (especially for the ladies if it's that time of month). Weird mirror fitted to do markup but made you feel strange and when viewed from a far, it showed yourself as being up side down. Modern I get but not the idea. Shower in same room as bedroom also strange as you can see into it when your partner is showering, this is ok for us as we have been married a long time but new couples have no privacy.

Beautiful hotel, hard to fault!

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment which was beautifully furnished, clean and very spacious with a lovely balcony overlooking the port.The pool area was very well kept , with a great view of the port but very peaceful. All the staff were friendly, courteous and very helpful. and we thoroughly enjoyed using the Spa facilities and the gym, both of which were clean and well maintained. The hotel is also very well situated - close to the beach and also to supermarkets, bars and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay and only wish it had been longer!

Toilet liking

I stayed for about 5 days with friends, We got upgraded to a better room. However I paid for lake view and the upgraded room was located at the back of the hotel plus one of the toilet were liking and floating all over the floor. We mentioned it to the recepction but for all of our staying no one came to fixed. Me and my friends ended up sharing and queuing to use the toilet and bath room as the main one was flooting.

Fab location. Just hope when the new apartments are complete and full the restaurant and pool can cope if it's fully booked. Room lovely could do with a bathroom update and the towels had seen better days but overall clean.
All the staff friendly and appreciated being able to use the spa showers on checkout day.
Would recommend and hopefully return.

Lovely hotel on the harbour

The hotel is very modern. The rooms are all suites and really large with separate bedroom, living room and small kitchen. The staff are friendly and helpful. The pool area overlooks the harbour and has plenty of sunbeds. There are also circular and ottoman beds. The atmosphere is very laid back, the music played during the morning was relaxing. Not keen on the afternoon DJ's choice though! Breakfast is good and quite varied although the hot food was a bit lukewarm. The room cleaning was a bit patchy, quite often not coming until 4pm. Overall we really liked this hotel and will return.
