The location was in a wonderful area. I took a private transfer to Positano arranged by the B&B which arrived promptly for pickup, and was a smooth transfer from the airport. I loved that there were minimal stairs to carry my suitcase up and down. My room was spacious and clean. I looked forward to breakfast outdoors each morning. Pietro and Roberta were so helpful leading up to my stay and were also available during if anything came up. Would recommend to anyone traveling to the area and book again, no questions asked. The perfect stay for the most perfect trip.

Our stay at Dimora Del Podestà was everything we hoped for and more. This charming B&B offers absolutely stunning views that made every moment feel magical. One of our favorite parts was enjoying a delicious breakfast each morning on our own private terrace—it was such a relaxing and special way to start the day.
The staff was warm, welcoming, and made us feel right at home throughout our stay. The location was ideal—nestled just above Saraceno d’Oro, where we had the best lasagna we’ve ever tasted. It was an easy and scenic walk down to the main beach, and Fornillo Beach, a quieter and equally beautiful spot, was just a short stroll away.
We couldn’t have picked a better place to stay in Positano and would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommend!

The room is just as the pictures show. It was very large, surprisingly, with a lovely balcony with a view. The rooms are on the first floor, but not many stairs.

The staff was courteous and helpful. Heed their recommendation about where to park (if you are driving a car) and make sure you reserve a spot in advance. The parking is literally 50 steps from the B&B.
Downstairs restaurant was also very tasty and reasonable (for Positano).
Our only nit - which is not something that can be addressed - was the noise. Bring ear plugs. Or maybe ask for one of the rooms without a view so that you are not \"on the street\". Lots of tourist noise until 1am and then again starting 5am with workers (restaurants, trash pickup, etc).
We would stay again if in the area!

Excellent B&B to stay in Positano. The room was ample an clean and nicely decorated. I had a balcony facing the “pyramid”.
But, the most important quality of the place is the staff and the owners. They treat us like family and they make us feel so welcome. The breakfast was incredible: eggs, bacon, toasts, milk and all kinds of cookies and donuts.

Beautiful, peaceful, relaxing
We absolutely loved this place! As a group of three friends we were thrilled to see such a large room / large living area with a converted bed. The sleeping area is connected but set apart much larger than a hotel style with a fireplace, large balcony, and large bathroom with vanity hallway area. The beds were set and made for our arrival. The apartment was in a very quiet, peaceful part of town! Plenty of shops and restaurants along the streets but a bit of a hike if walking, however the views are worth it! All sights were within a 20 min walk (but keep in mind the steps) and the boat dock was also very close- there are porters waiting for suitcases which was very welcomed- they bring them to your hotel for 10 euro per piece which was a lifesaver! The only downside is no elevator that we saw but not a huge deal. Full breakfast provided in the morning by staff which was delicious and the views are just amazing from the balcony. Very nice place would stay again and highly recommend.

This B&B exceeded all of our expectations! It was spacious, clean, had a beautiful view, and wonderful staff. Forgive us as we missed her name, but our main hostess gave us tons of information and helped with our bus tickets (which was a task of its own to get)! Very accommodating and nice - she even gave us a parting gift. If we come back to Positano, we will be staying here again!

Pietro and his family could not have been more welcoming! We were greeted by Elia on our first day, who told us about the local area, places to go, weather, sunrise and sunset, and how things worked at the hotel (for instance the honesty bar).
The room itself was a great size, with a large bed as well as a sofa bed, a table on the balcony and one inside, a grand mirror and plenty of space for luggage. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, a fan, and an en suite. The whole room felt very light and cool.
The breakfast was a highlight of our trip! - It is served either on your balcony outside or in your room, just leave the door open when you're ready and they bring it right to you! It included homemade pastries baked by Pietro's mother, a choice of tea or coffee, fresh fruit, toast and bread, a choice of yoghurt, and biscuits.
Throughout our stay, Pietro and his family were so helpful in advising us on potential activities, as well as booking us into a cooking class in Praiano led by Silvanna, Pietro's mother - which we would also highly recommend!!
Inclusive with our stay, was a 10% discount to the family restaurant below - here the staff are just as friendly. Each day we walked past the restaurant, the family would smile and wave - such kindness made us forget we were surrounded by strangers.

Fiancée and I stayed there for 4 nights. Charming and lovely. Sylvana was wonderful and along with Pietro very helpful. We loved Rosalba who was beyond sweet and caring. The location was perfect for us, the room excellent size and comfort, and it was just as authentic as we'd hoped it would be. The restaurant downstairs was better than anticipated. Let Ricardo suggest some wines for you.. he was a fantastic server. Only suggestion would be to significantly trim down that tree to have a more unobstructed view. We booked the place based on the reviews. You should too!

Dimora del Podestà is a great small, family-run B & B in an excellent Positano location. It is high enough for nice views of the sea, low enough for a pleasant stroll into the heart of Positano, and close to a local bus stop for those who get weary of all of the steps. There are only a few rooms, each with a view balcony where breakfast is served each morning. The breakfast is very pleasant, often with homemade pastries, and can be adjusted for special diets, e.g. gluten intolerance. The family was very friendly and helpful with logistics, suggestions, etc.

Small B&B gives a huge experience
Dimora Del Podesta is a small B&B, but it gives a huge experience to its guests. The building is beautifully renovated, situated on the one road in Positano so is accessible by bus and cab. The rooms are so large they are better described as suites, beautifully decorated, very comfortable, with porches overlooking the beautiful view. An amazing breakfast, large enough to keep you going for the rest of the day, is served in the room or on the porch. The staff is friendly and very helpful, and the family owned restaurant next door offers delicious food and 10% off for the B&B guests. All this for a very affordable price.

Recently fully renovated this place is pristine. Pietro makes you very welcome and is a guide to everything. The 3 rooms are large with balconies overlooking the town and sea. You can walk to the shops and port or get the locaL bus around. The Saraceno DOr estaurant underneath is run by Pietros family and is wonderful and well priced. Meet all the locals and the family here. Breakfast is a feast taken in your room or on your balcony.

Cannot recommend this place highly enough. Pietro went far above and beyond the norm to provide us with a stay that is memorable for all the right reasons. Dimora del Podesta provides an opportunity to experience genuine Italian culture in the context of a family that knows how to deliver first-rate hospitality. We enjoyed all our meals at their historic restaurant downstairs and found the prices to be very reasonable. Hotel transfers were arranged without fuss and the views were incredible. Easy access to everything.

My husband and I were warmly welcomed by Pietro, the owner. He helped arrange a car for us to be transported from the airport and porter to the ferry on our departure. Our place was well located with a wonderful restaurant below (10% discount). Breakfast was served outside on the balcony. Everyone was very helpful. After a hectic time in Rome, we needed the respite. We were advised of an easy way to get back to Rome via ferry to Salerno. We wholeheartedly recommend this B&B. The owner is extremely attentive and welcoming. The rooms are clean and well maintained and the balcony views are spectacular. It is only a 20-minute walk to either of Positano's main beaches. The restaurant owned by the hotel owners is friendly and the food is excellent, local fare. The owner happily provides advice on excursions and local attractions. The breakfast, served in you room or on your balcony, is filling and a pleasant way to start the day.

The hotel room was absolutely gorgeous. You are served breakfast every morning on your own balcony. The room was clean and had a very Mediterranean feel to it. Bring your own shower items - there were no shampoos/conditioner or soap. Just soap to pump to wash your hands. There is a small blow dryer(not the strongest). All the tv channels were in Italian. There is wifi which was great. Walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants BUT there are 500 steps to go down the beach and 500 steps up. There is a lift somewhere which we never took if you can't handle the steps. There are a lot of hills and it's hard to walk so bring only flats. Scenery is gorgeous. You can catch a ferry and a bus to Capri/Ravello which is what we did. The food was okay in Positano, we loved the food way better in Sorrento.

We can't thank Pietro and his family enough for the giving us the most sublime 3 night stay in the beautiful coastal town of Positano. Stooped in history, the quiet but wonderfully furnished 3 bedroom B&B was everything we'd wished for on our honeymoon, particularly the balcony, which allowed us to sip Prosecco and people watch in the cool evening.

Location was great for us (late 20s couple) some older people may not appreciate the amount of stairs up from the beach (they can get the bus) Nice spacious room, comfy beds. What really made this stay amazing was our host Peter, he organised parking for us upon our arrival, prepared a beautiful breakfast on our balcony every morning, he asked us about our day and tried to give his input into how best to spend our time to maximise our Positano experience. Highly recommend this place, you wont regret it.

We can't say enough wonderful things about our stay at Dimora del Podestà. We enjoyed a spacious and comfortable room with a stunning view of the bay. The three brothers that run the B&B did everything imaginable to make our stay pleasant. Pietro helped arrange our car transfer to and from Positano, walked us through a local map to help us get oriented and provided helpful itinerary suggestions. The restaurant that the family runs below the rooms is fantastic and had some of the tastiest and most reasonably priced food in the village. Our favorite part of the stay was having a relaxed breakfast on our balcony each morning. Plenty of delicious coffee and morning treats before a leisurely stroll down to the central part of the city.

What a superb B&B. We loved it from start to finish, even from before we arrived there, after the owner sent us a really kind email asking if we needed parking, then booking a space in the car park which is RIGHT NEXT to the B&B. Wonderful. Service was fantastically friendly and kind all through our visit, and we just loved the room. It was huge and charming, including a mural on the wall of the view from our window, painted in the 1940s!! Our balcony had a lovely view, and though it overlooked the street and the family's restaurant, this didn't disturb us at all (and I normally hate rooms that overlook the road). We loved the buzzy atmosphere it gave, and made us feel part of 'Positano life' for a brief while. Breakfast was brought to us out on our balcony, so we could enjoy the lovely view for even longer, while soaking up the morning sun. The shops and restaurants of Positano were just down the road, and the beach was a 10-15 minute walk away. Altogether wonderful.

My fiance and I stayed at the Dimora del Podesta for two nights. The B&B was very beautiful, quaint and romantic and actually is the traditional home of the family that owns and operates it. Pietro, the host and part of the family that owns the B&B, was very friendly and made us feel comfortable, bringing our breakfast to the outdoor patio of our room and giving us many good recommendations on things to see and do (like go to the local beach instead of the main touristy beach). The restaurant downstairs (Saracen D'Oro) is also owned and operated by the family and was delicious - locals had recommended the restaurant to us without even knowing that we were staying there and we ended up eating there both nights of our stay. The B&B is located off the center of Positano, which was nice for us since we weren't in the main touristy area but could take a 10 minute walk to get there if we wanted to. We highly recommend this B&B and have no complaints!

Pietro was the perfect host during our stay in Positano!!!!! He treated us royally...from providing information on Positano to serving us a delicious breakfast on our bougainvillea-draped balcony to making us a sandwich to take on the ferry to Capri!!!! Another highlight was dining at his family's adjoining restaurant, where we enjoyed a delightful and delicious meal of veal scallopini in lemon sauce and ravioli in lemon cream sauce!!!!!! We stayed at Dimora del Podesta for 2 nights and did not want to leave. In a beautiful location in Positano, Dimora del Podesta seriously has it all. The little balcony was just gorgeous for breakfast or an afternoon vino. The view was stunning, our room was beautiful, clean and well equipped. But, the best thing about Dimora is the host Pietro. Pietro was amazing! So hospitable and willing to provide anything you need, Pietro really goes above and beyond to ensure his guests have a great time. He took time out to help us plan our days, gave us so much insight into the history of the area and his family (who also own the delicious restaurant downstairs), I seriously doubt you would find this anywhere else. Thanks again Pietro for a fabulous stay, hopefully we can return one day.

Friendly and inviting
The welcome we received on our arrival at Dimora del Podesta was wonderful. The owner Pietro did everything he could to make our stay as pleasant as he possibly could. The accommodation was lovely with beautiful sea view. The room which my husband and I shared with our daughter was really spacious and we were brought breakfast every morning on the balcony overlooking Positano and the bay. Dimora del Podesta is in the centre of Positano, and the centre of the Amalfi Coast. You obviously have lots of steps but that's the nature of the place.
