It was fine. We were expecting a 4 star stay but the plywood doors and cabinets seemed questionable.. the rules of the hotel to not bring any takeout or drinks into our own room is insane and the hotel is a bit out of the way of old town. View was amazing but the outdoor pool was a gross seagull bathtub and the “bar” looked 5 years unused and rundown. Not as fancy or nice as we expected but it was fine

Cool location but weird bathroom openness

Great location on the edge of Trogir, wonderful views of the sea. A caution, however, that the bathrooms do not have doors and are open to the rest of the hotel room. There is an opaque glass door to the toilet and shower for privacy but it's not soundproof. Best for couples that don't embarrass easily.

Hotel Ola was okay. It’s a bit secluded from the main town of Trogir and has huge sliding glass doors that offer impeccable bay views from each suite. The rooms are kept up well, modern design with modern comfort and a comfortable bed. At least for my liking.

However, a couple of things that I should note. The thermostat doesn’t go less than 21 c by default. So if you like a cooler climate for sleeping, forget about it. There isn’t a stocked mini bar but there is a mini fridge. There is a small Infiniti pool but very basic. The pool “bar” wasn’t open at all during my stay as I was told they were short staffed. I didn’t spend a lot of time at the hotel anyway so it was no biggie.

The lobby has a dark, musty feel, not very inviting. But the staff was nice and accommodating for the most part. I can’t really speak on the food since I only ate breakfast there once. Nothing special as far as I can tell. But the hotel is less than 10 minutes from town center where there are ample eateries.

All in all, if you don’t intend in just staying at the hotel and you have a lot of activities planned, I think this hotel is a nice option for the budget conscious traveler. It’s not cheap, but it’s affordable and adequate for a few nights. I’d stay here again.

The rooms are ok , other then there is no water in room for guests , the pool and the gym have no towels or water , breakfast is ok , the gym I terrible there is no treadmill no water or towels , the ac you have to call the front desk to turn on , for a 4 star very poor , check out is at 10 am , never have I stayed in a hotel that was a 4 star that check out is 10 am , I would never stay here again lack of service and comfort for a 4 star and the price they charge ,

Staff were friendly however mostly felt like an inconvenience when asking them questions, they never gave the impression that they would go out of their way to help you.

Breakfast was nice and had a varied selection. No lunch options - they serve A La Carte from 2pm but this is full meals and don't offer any snacks (toasties, sandwiches, omelettes etc etc.). Didn't have dinner at the hotel so unable to comment on this.

Facilities were nice, indoor pool wasn't heated and was pretty cold, steamroom was broken so wasn't able to use it. Rooftop area is lovely and the views are incredible, pool was a little bit cold, but to be expected with an outside pool. There was what a few of us thought was a dead bird in this pool and it didn't get removed for the entire week. Some drinks cost more at the bar upstairs than the one downstairs and don't really see a reason for this.

Rooms were clean and bed was comfortable, would be nice to have a bit more privacy in the bathroom as there's no separation from the bathroom and where the bed is.

Comfortable room overlooking the sea

Great sea view from comfortable bed, shower, eating area and roof top pool. Attentive, helpful staff and good breakfast offerings. One of the better accommodations on our 10 day trip! We had a late flight and were able to shower in spa area after check out. Only negative would be the use of particle board in several areas that made them look like they’re in construction. Easy to overlook and didn’t affect our stay which was very pleasant.

Pros: It was only 10 min walk to the beach. View from rooftop is really nice. Breakfast was decent, not amazing but not bad. Friendly staff.

Cons: Pool bar closes early. Does not feel like adult only. The carpet had stains. Slow elevator. The cushions on the pool chairs were sub-par. There was interior work needed to fix things -- Ie plywood covering. Overall felt like there were many "low hanging fruit" items that could be fixed but were not -- yet. July 2023

The staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. They helped us arrange every flight, stored our luggage, helped us find things to do and even gave me a free birthday cake when they noticed it was my birthday! The pool is absolutely incredible— it has such a good view! The entire staff at black pepper are amazing—- so kind and friendly. Not to mention the food was incredible.

This location is close to the airport and marina—- perfect if you want to enjoy beach time out of split. There were, beaches, jet skis and restaurants a small walk away.

A wonderful hotel with superb views, friendly and accomodating staff. Delicious food on the a la carte menu as well as a range of breakfast options.
The only small downside was the leaking ceiling in the shower and very basic iron and hairdryer which could do with an upgrade for better efficiency.
We will definitely stay again. Thank you for such an enjoyable stay. Credit to all the amazing staff at Hotel Ola.

Average hotel but great service

The staff are the best part of this place. Very welcoming and kind but severely understaffed and the hotel had many issues. First their site and hotels.com says check out time is noon. When we checked in they handed us a printed card that said "checkout time is 12" but the 12 was crossed out with a pen and said 10am written in. They said it was 10am but hotels.com still says noon so thats an issue. Second my stay said we received a complimentary spa service each day included. When we got there they informed me this meant I could use the indoor pool and sauna.....that is extremely misleading as we assumed we had access to that anyway so there was really no benefit at all. Also, the cleaners only made the bed but didn't remove any dirty dishes or trash from our room or clean anything which was weird. LOUD people keeping us awake at night, very slow service in restaurant because they are understaffed. It took 1 1/2 hours to get 1 plate of food at dinner as they only had 2 people working for about 15 tables! The AC was also very finicky and didn't always work and was controlled by the hotel so it wouldn't go below their set temp. Overall I would not return to this hotel the rooms were also very average and the most dissapointing place of all 5 hotels we stayed at in Croatia. The only saving grace here is the friendliness of the staff.

This is a wonderful hotel in a great location with superb views across the bay. The hotel is only 4 years old and there is quality everywhere. The staff are incredibly helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The only let down is the pool furniture. It is a little tired and some items do require replacement. Otherwise this is 5 stars all the way. Would definitely stay again without any hesitation. PS - The hotel can easily arrange COVID-19 "Proof to fly" tests at the hotel if required. Our PCR tests only cost £60 each. Great value and great service. Lateral Flow tests are even cheaper.

Good location, less than 3 kms to Trogir old town. Very nicely designed room. The view from hotel room was great. It's low season, so we were the only guests had breakfast. Coffee, eggs, breads were available. Not much but good enough. We were on our way to Dubrovnik and did not want to drive too long, so we made break at Hotel Ola, and it's very nice.

Nice modern hotel in a quiet location

My wife and I enjoyed our stay at Hotel Ola. The initial decor seems overly minimalist, but the room was very comfortable and a good size, plus it has a lovely view of the Adriatic. A word of warning though - the bathroom is open plan, so is likely to only be suitable for couples who are very comfortable with eachother! The area it’s in is quite quiet, but we liked this. It was only a short drive to Trogir or Split, but we were out of the crowds. We liked that the restaurant catered to gluten-free diets as my wife was on such a diet for a while so we noticed few places in Croatia did so. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful.

Amazing - didn't want to leave.

We loved this hotel from the moment we saw it on approach. Despite some of the surrounding area being under landscaping and a little construction, the location is perfect for Trogir (with excellent bus or boat links) and also, via a pretty boardwalk, along to several lovely shore-side bars and restaurants. In the other direction, Ola is far enough away from a much more touristy area (Medena?) which we didn't really take to. The views from all floors of the hotel are breath-taking. Our 3rd floor room was luxurious and spotlessly clean every day. The décor and design of the entire hotel is stylish (athough some might find the ensuite toilet in the bedroom not private enough even for your room-mate!). The buffet breakfast is amazing. We had a buffet dinner once, and a lovely bottle of wine and only didn't eat dinner there again because we wanted to explore. The whole experience was enhanced by lovely, friendly and professional staff.

Good facilities (spa indoor pool and restaurant)
Breakfast was good.
A little far from Trogir but can walk down to beach and get the taxi boat 20 kuna per person. Or walk about 40mins. Taxis are expensive 150 kuna for. 3/4 minute drive.
Seget donji has a nice beach but it very quite, Trogir is very nice.
Would recommend to friends. However not I’d you like to go out late nights a bit quite. Good for relaxing holiday

I know how hard to believe positive reviews when one is checking a hotel. It’s possible that the review could be fake. Hence, I would like to emphasize the fact that I am a real person and my selection of OLA was purely random. To my surprise, the hotel was simply perfect in so many ways that I might lose count: the view, the infinity pool on the roof, the room itself, the restaurant, the food. Even the car garage was great. At the same time the aura of contemporary chic was undeniable. I highly recommend this property fo be given a serious thought for any traveler. BTW, you can rent a scooter or Smart Fortwo from the hotel if you don’t have your own means of transportation - to go to Trogir or to Split

Great way to end a 2 week sailing trip. Great roof top pool, crystal clear and refreshing with beautiful view. Excellent bar service. Room was elegant and very modern, fun to have the tub beside the balcony... All rooms face the water. Food was excellent, although it took 3.5 hrs for supper, not sure why since many came and went while we waited. Our waiter Ivan maybe? He went to take our dessert order and when we showed him the red full moon he stepped away took some photos of the moon and then took our order... In contrast to the chef who stepped up to bar tend when needed... She was wonderful and very helpful. Reception staff were helpful and efficient. Breakfast had lots of variety and something for everyone hot cold pastry cheese meats eggs jams fruit granola.. Very fresh. The hotel was excellent value and worth the trip...confirm taxi rates, some paid 100kon others were charged 150kon per couple. Our group of 6 were all very happy with the rooms, food service and value.

Very pleasant and stylish hotel. Not quite finished yet but only minor cosmetic. Beautifully furnished, and the views from the roof top terrace and it’s infinity pool are stunning. Drinks about 40% cheaper than in a 4 star Uk hotel.15 mins walk t9 the water taxi taking you to Trogir (£2 each way). Fab breakfast, quite extensive. People can’t do enough for you. No smoking in restaurant, and they mean it to. (Whereas no smoking evrywhere else we have been so far in Croatia gets ignored!) Spa is compact but again beutifually styled and the staff are real professionals. Please note some of the double rooms have ver small balconies, whereas oypthers are big so be sure to double check, if that’s important to yo7. The hotels.com photos are incorrect, my pic below is accurate. Well worth the visit.

The hotel has all the amenities needed for business traveller. Is not a hotel that accepts kids under 16 years old and they do not allow outside foods in the hotel. The hotel is brand new with very modern decor. If you stay at the farest room and the hotel is not fully booked, you would have problem getting hot water. You probably need a minimum of 10 min runing the cold water until hot water arrives. The lication is great and easy access to old town of Trigor.

New hotel with great vision but lacks on execution

Nice hotel but finishes were lacking and not well thought through e.g. the bathroom is open to the bedroom and there is no door on the toilet. Whilst they were aiming for an open feel contemporary design I think a bit of privacy in the bathroom would be better. every room faces the sea but not every room comes with a large balcony - beware and ask for a large balcony! The wardrobe is too narrow and the coat hangers can not hang straight. The restaurant is the standout - excellent service and outstanding food. Good Paleo menu. Front service desk were friendly but could not answer questions immediately; it required 2 or 3 conversations. Also, note they charge 7 Euro per day for parking. the hotel is a 40 min walk to Trogir old town and there is not a good footpath all the way into town. There are some nice small pebble beaches within 5-10min walk of the hotel.

Quiet hotel, but close to everything.

The hotel is very new and needs some tweeks. We went out of season at the end of September. We had lovely weather, but felt that there are not enough sunbeds and the infinity pool is very small; not long enough to do any good swimming.

The restaurant and food were excellent and the staff are so friendly.

We found the bedrooms a bit odd. The bath is open in the bedroom, which although a great idea, there are no windows in that area, so you can't sit and look out to sea (no-one would be able to see in). The shower/toilet area are not in a separate room either. We were travelling as two friends and privacy in the bathroom is a must. All the rooms have this design.

The Spa has some good facilities, but again they haven't thought it through. The gym is not in the least inviting and you feel like you're in a cell, albeit colourful.

All in all the hotel was good and I would be interested to see what it looks like in a year's time when they have managed to landscape the front of the hotel which is just dirt and stone at the moment.

Negatives: outside area in particular steps down from the hotel are not finished. Uncomfortable pillows for sleeping. Some may find the open plan loo a bit disconcerting. Lacking in atmosphere in the restaurant in the evening - we walked to find other restaurants. Music on the roof terrace and dining room intrusive. Parking charges of £7 a day.

Close to Trogir by water taxi. Excellent restaurants abound to suit all tastes and pockets.

Spacious rooms. Superior room had quite a small balcony but bath. Open plan bathroom, not everyone's choice, but enhanced the feeling of space. Lovely breakfast with change of items daily and freshly cooked egg items as an option. Relaxing rooftop pool. You can catch a water taxi into nearby Trogir for 20 kuna each way. Plenty of day trip options available locally with pick ups at the hotel, some lovely surrounding islands. Don't go for the beach but the sea is gorgeous. Not much info in the rooms so read up before you go and ask lots of questions! We loved it!

Brand new hotel, excellent service and friendly staff. I'm not sure why they list themselves as adult only. Disappointed that the curtains don't block all the sunlight, especially when trying to sleep during a jet lagged day. Eye masks don't count. I really liked the resturant as they are focusing on healthy options. I watched as the chef each night would pick fresh herbs from the garden for my meal. I don't like the OSB wood used throughout as an architectural style but that's a personal preference. Additionally, I had three confirmed reservations but was told upon check in "you're not in the system". That system should be fixed. Beautiful views from every room facing the harbor and from the rooftop infinity pool. One of my colleagues had difficulty with an inoperable air conditioner but that was repaired the next day. Diffinately the nicest hotel for miles around. Don't miss the ferry to old town and the fortress. Local scuba dive was just cold and wet but a well run operation.

Very good hotel

Rooms with an amazing view from both room and balcony. Very well designed (apart from plywood).

Restaurant was particularly good with excellent service and reasonable prices. Only problem was that there weren't many guests which should get better with time. Staff were excellent.

My only small gripe is to say when you pay more than €200 a night you expect at least a couple of bottles of complimentary water. Everyone drinks water so why not just incorporate into business model as part of the price?

A stunning view, great location, lovely staff

During our stay, for five days, the hotel staff was very friendly and heplfull in all ways. Recommended places to visit and restaurants to dine. Also, as it was my husband's birthday,he had a lovely surprise from the hotel. They made birthday cake and brought it to our room on a tray with fresh strawberries, a bottle of coconut oil and a Birthday card.
It was such a lovely gesture!

Veldig fint opphold, fikk sjekket inn kl 12, alt var perfekt, det er 10min gangvei til Strand og restauranter, helt perfekt med barnefri hotel, stille og rolig avslapping ved poolen.
Litt spesielt med åpen toalett/bad løsning🤔

Nja.

Kelner var forkjølt og snøt seg mens han bar tallerkner. I tillegg vasket de aldri hendene mellom rydding av bord og servering av mat senere. Uhygienisk! Stedet kunne vært vakkert med litt vedlikehold. Mye måker man deler basseng med.

Un avis mitigé, le personnel est très sympathique, les chambres sont spacieuses et propres mais étonnantes, pas de séparation entre la salle de bains, les toilettes et la chambre donc l'intimité est limitée.
Les espaces communs de l'hôtel sont par contre défraichis voir carrément sales (escaliers). L'espace Spa est vraiment petit et il y avait trop de monde nous 'avons pas pu en profiter.La vue est belle mais le balcon est vraiment petit. Par rapport aux autres hôtels de notre séjour, on est très en dessous du niveau d'un 5 étoiles et pourtant la chambre la plus chère de nos vacances. je ne conseille pas au vu du rapport qualité/prix.

Sehr schöne ruhige Zimmer mit sehr guter Aussicht. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, beim Abendessen waren die angebotenen warmen Komponenten gut aber leider nicht untereinander sehr kompatibel. Die Getränke waren etwas zu teuer/ es gab includiert zur Halbpension Abends nur Stilles Wasser gratis.
Das Personal speziell im Restaurant war sehr nett hilfsbereit und schnell.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour à l’Hôtel Ola. Le personnel était très accueillant et à l’écoute. Le petit déjeuner était très complet. Il y avait beaucoup de choix, du sucré, du salé, du froid ou du chaud, tout le monde y trouvera son bonheur. Le restaurant pour le midi et le soir était bien, bien qu’un peu cher, mais il y a de très bons restaurants à 10 minutes à pied de l’hôtel en bord de mer. De plus, il y a un accès à la plage en 3 minutes à pied en face de l’hôtel et la piscine de l’hôtel est correcte également. En somme, nous recommandons vivement cet hôtel où vous passerez un séjour reposant !

- À 1h en bus de la ville de Split
- Pas de navette pour l'aéroport ou Trogir
- Personnel d'accueil peu informé ou informant des activités possibles (excursions, etc.)

Everything except the service is A+!

Hotel in general, incl. room and restaurant/breakfast is very good! The only downside to the experience is the lack of service from front desk.

When asking about directions, recommendations or help to rent bikes no help is given or the help given is incorrect.

The staff at the breakfast and restaurant how ever deliver above and beyond - especially Ni Made - she was a real highlight of our stay!

Flott takterasse og utsikt

Flott utsikt, deilig utebasseng på takterasse, dårlig utemøbler og mangler puter til solsengene, var ei løs pute her og der som ikke egner seg for bading. Hyggelig betjening, god service, men utvalg og pris stod ikke helt i stil. Flott utsikt, nærhet til sjø, tar ca. 20 min å gå inn til Trogir.

The room view was so beautiful and customer service was great. We liked the roofterrace a lot and that infinitypool too.
Only minus from us was food, at breakfast we would like to have something fresh. There was only tomato and couple different fruits.
Good side at the breakfast was the menu where you can choose for example bacon, eggs and pancakes. But we both think that those needs more flavour. :)
