Beautiful old stone building at north gate of old town. Walk out the door and small restaurants and shops start right there. The larger busier promenade is 5 min walk through old town . This hotel is 1 block from bus station including bus 37 to airport. Excellent continental breakfast plus she will make you eggs.

It would have been perfect, but, I was over the restaurant/bar and the music went until 2:00 am. I mentioned to the hotel manager and he was apologetic. Said by law the music must stop at 1:00 am but it went to 2:00 am both nights of my stay. I cancelled my reservation for a one night stay at the end of my trip.

Spacious rooms and a great stay in Trogir

Rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The staff were lovely especially the young woman (didn’t catch her name) who helped with breakfast each day.
Location was excellent essentially in the walls of the old town.
Breakfast was adequate (recommend providing better orange juice as this wasn’t very nice) but overall ok.
All in all I’d recommend staying here and would definitely return.

The property is located t the very entrance of the village with some bars around it. The internal courtyard is a unique and very nice space to have. We actually booked online around midnight, when our flight got canceled. There is no night reception when we arrived and we were not expected because they don't have a night manager, i would reccomend to opt out reservation for the same day with the amount of flight cancelation, the hotel is very close to the airport. Room very clean, however the furniture need an update, specially the bathroom, where the shower which looks even too much for the room we had, but as soon as we started to take a shower we noticed that was all broken. The staff, I believe family business, was gentle and they talk good English. Breakfast was fair for 9 euros extra, a small buffet with delicious croissants. We had a room on top of a bar, which was a bit loud until late, but after 9 hours spent in the airport, we were tired enough to fall asleep anyway. Airconditioning was perfectly working.

This has been the best accomodation we have stayed at so far. Everything was lovely and it really felt more like a palace. The common areas were also great. The street outside was a very popular hot spot and the double paned windows helped decrease the noise. I wish we had stayed there longer.

Lovely stay, staff so friendly. Would suggest telephone contact details between visitors and hotel staff are exchanged in advance of travel as reception closes at 9pm. Our flight was delayed, leading to unnecessary stress when trying to check in (no one was there to meet us and the contact number left on the door was missing a 0 at the beginning, not knowing Croatian dialing codes meant we were unable to connect to the staff, luckily a very kind man drinking in the bar next door came to our assistance).

Friendly hotel right on Trogir

Very friendly staff. Rooms were nice, breakfast was very nice. Location was perfect -- easy to find, but also right on Trogir itself. BUT, our room was right above a late-night disco. Very loud into quite late at night, made it hard to sleep (and we couldn't leave the windows open). Make sure you have an inner room not facing the main street.

This place is perfectly located in old town Trojir with a wonderful courtyard that lets you escape the crowds. Then the staff really make the place not just good, but fantastic because they go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need and that you're having a good time. We were staying at another place nearby in old town for our sailing trips. We will now stay here. It's pretty easy catching the water taxi to the marina

Trogir over Split

I stayed in Trogir as Split can be quite busy. The Palace de Rossi was amazing, starting with the staff. Anita and Priscilla were great at recommendations, knowledge of the area, and conversations. They also spoke with my uncle, which you cant put a price tag on.
The bedroom and the bathroom was very spacious with windows to easily open and allow the Adriatic breeze to make its way in to room.
Also, we enjoyed dinner at Tragos Restaurant in old town Torgir, I HIGHLY recommend the basic fish soup, best ever!
We would definitely stay there again.

Well worthy of a return visit

We stayed at this hotel recently before; when we headed back to Trogir, agreement to go back to Derossi was unanimous. Location is excellent, decor and room comfort are exceptional, and staff's helpfulness and hospitality are second to none. Expect to stay in the old town of Trogir, within a walking distance of all its best sights and restaurants.

Lovely olde world hotel with modern facilities.

Having read previous reviews, I emailed ahead to ask for a quiet room, and the hotel replied to say that they had allocated us one. We arrived expecting only an ensuite room, and were pleasantly surprised when we were allocated a suite with separate lounge/kitchenette, bedroom and bathroom (with jacuzzi bath!). The building itself retains the grandeur of its former days, with stone walls, shuttered windows, and painted balconies. The internal decor is a sympathetic mix of old and new, providing the feel of the past, but the convenience of modern facilities. Whilst the rooms were extremely clean, there was some evidence of wear and tear to some of the modern furniture and a small part of the plaster work by one of the lounge windows. The staff were extremely friendly. helpful and accommodating, and if we were travelling to this area again, we would definitely book to stay here.

We stayed at the Palace enroute to flying home from Split after being on the islands. Excellent service, family run meant that the staff put the extra effort in to make everything good. Late at night we asked to change rooms as it was a bit noisy for us on the front of the building, without any fuss we were swapped and it was greatly appreciated. We used their airport transfer which was good value. It felt good to support a small family business rather than the 'chain hotels' This hotel would be great for a trip to Trogir over a few days due to its location.

Lovely family run hotel in the heart of Trogir

This is a lovely family run hotel in the heart of Trogir Old Town. It is a very convenient location, \"in the walls\" of the Old Town, so perfect for exploring from the door step and the bus station. There are some beaches about a 10 minute walk away which were very quiet when we were there in September. They had a great view and it was still plenty warm enough.
The room we had was a gorgeous mix of old and new, with exposed stonework and antique furniture but also a modern shower (complete with lights, radio and different locations for spray!), satellite TV and free WiFi. The bed was two twin beds pushed together, a very solid frame meant that the middle was definitely out of bounds due to the 2 inch strip of wood frame. The mattress was also memory foam, which may matter to some people. We had sheets and a thin blanket on the bed when we arrived, but after I was cold on the first night I was swiftly provided with a very warm blanket! The room was above a bar so was rather noisy on Friday and Saturday night. I sleep in ear plugs normally and wasn't bothered and my partner is a heavy sleeper so was fine. Might be an issue if you're a light sleeper though.
The breakfast was excellent. On first glance, the selection wasn't great but it was actually incredibly filling and tasty. What made it was the made-to-order eggs. On the morning we had an early excursions, the staff were happy to make up a takeaway breakfast for us to pick up the night before.
Definitely recommended!!

Our room was definitely big, with a double room and a TV room. the bathroom was good with a great shower although it had a bad constan smell. On this price range, for a expensive Croatian coast, I think it is a good option. I could stay there again.

Excellent hotel, excellent location and incredibly friendly staff. Take advantage of the hotel parking if you come by car, as Trogir is a motorist's nightmare. No beach in the immediate vicinity, but great boat trips every hour to a nearby island with as much beach as you could wish for.

A Stunning Stay in Every Respect

Palace DeRossi is a beautiful, friendly, accessible and good value bed & breakfast style hotel and I'd recommend their 16-room former palace to all non-budget travellers. The rooms have most of the mod cons (air conditioning, satellite TV, luxurious shower) but retain the Mediterranean style of decor and furnishings of ancient Trogir. The breakfast is a simple, but very tasty, continental selection with the option of adding freshly-made scrambled eggs or an omelette at no extra charge. The staff really went beyond their duties to help us feel comfortable, relaxed and welcomed. On one day we took an excursion to Dubrovnik, which involved leaving before 7am, but DeRossi's staff were happy to prepare us a packed breakfast as we politely requested in advance. They also left us a bottle of wine and a lovely note in our room upon discovering that one of us had a birthday during our stay! The location is ideal - virtually the first property you encounter in Trogir, so an excellent base and very easy to find. The only tiny downside being the proximity to some busy bars and restaurants, but that said, we didn't feel disturbed by the moderate noise at all. Overall, a truly beautiful place to stay and very good value for money.

What a gem!

We selected this hotel primarily due to an early flight out of Split airport - Trogir is about 10 minutes away vs. 45-50. Figured a couple nights in Trogir would be fun, and it is a wonderful and well-preserved medieval town, like a mini-Dubrovnik. The Palace Derossi is located right at the main bridge into town, steps from the bus station and all town attractions.

Our family of 3 was blown away by the room (presidential room). Ancient stone walls, great character, but all the modern conveniences including a/c, massage shower, full kitchen, fast wi-fi, flat screen TV... And the service could not have been friendlier or more helpful. The test of good service is how they respond when things go wrong: our airport taxi was a no-show so the clerk drove us personally to the airport.

We only wish we had stayed longer!

This hotel is in a great location! We had 2 rooms/apartments. One was gorgeous and has been recently updated. The second was nice but not updated. Both rooms were clean and spacious. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is located to the right of the north gate into the city. The Parking lot is just on the mainland near the bridge into the old part of the city which is helpful since there is only one road through the city and a lot of traffic.

Good classical place with great service!

We stayed here for Ultra music festival and although the drive to Split was a 25 minute one, the location of this hotel is in the right place. Room was great, cold A/C, and the bathrooms were nicely updated. Everybody there is very helpful and makes you feel like you're right at home. Mario is one of the drivers and also a fun person. He made us laugh and told us all the info we needed to get around everywhere. They have great service and the hostel is more of a classical feel with the \"old school\" makeup. I would recommend this place to anybody who wants to explore more of the small town and see a bit more than the touristy spots. A+ in my book!

Wonderful room, great location, very friendly staff... a must stay. I will warn that there are some steps so if you have troubles with the climb, especially with luggage, this location might not work for you. For us, this was not a problem. Parking is on the street but was easy to find spots. The location is perfect if old town is your destination.

Trogir is amazing and definitely worth at least a day or two on your trip to Croatia. The hotel is also wonderful except that our room had a loud bar (thumping music and loud people) right below our window, and was extremely loud far into the night. I don't think all the rooms suffer from this problem. If you can sleep through noise, I recommend this hotel. If not (like me) look for a more quiet location. Other than the bar, the location is excellent. The only other issue we had was that, by booking through hotels dot com, the hotel didn't know that we wanted a double bed and put my wife and me in a room with two singles. Not the hotels fault. Hotels dot com: can you add the option of indicating a preference for type of bed?

Great Hotel, friendly staff and good location

Hotel is located perfectly for restaurants, the market and waterfront. I would suggest requesting a room at the back of the hotel to avoid noise from bars.

The staff were very friendly and willing to help and assist with any need we had for information.

Breakfast I would describe as 'light Continental' and whilst it provided an adequate start to the day it could benefit from varying from time to time.

The room was spacious #we had a suite, room 3# with the benefit of air conditioning which was quiet. The bed good do with being replaced as it squeaked with the slightest movement and therefore sleep was interrupted. However, it didn't spoil the overall experience.

Overall, I would strongly recommend this hotel.

Small, character B&B hotel in the old town of Trogir. Rooms are different shapes and sizes, but beautifully modernised, with attractive furnishings. Windows are double-glazed, which cuts out sounds from the narrow streets, and there is air-conditioning. Staff are all friendly and helpful. Breakfast is simple but adequate, served in the courtyard when fine. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Do not expect the facilities of a large hotel, but enjoy being in a unique historic building in a lovely town.

This hotel is an easy drive to the Park, is sparkling new and very clean and comfortable. Our car was iced over the morning we left and the hotel staff were really helpful scraping ice off the windows.
The service in the restaurant was friendly enough but long personal conversations seemed more important than curstomer service.

Brilliant holiday

This hotel is in an old building with a central courtyard where one eats breakfast in fine weather. It is just by the north gate leading to Trogir's main square, so very central. It's also close to the bus station. The staff were charming and helpful and the room was very clean. The furniture was antique and the part of the hotel we stayed in had recently been renovated, with modern bathrooms.
The breakfast wasn't exciting, but the food was fresh and plentiful.
A word of warning - ask for a room away from the street. There was a bar/nightclub on the same side of the building as our room and it was very noisy at the weekend.
Apart from this, we had a lovely visit and I'd stay there again.
Trogir is a wonderful town and the Croatians are very friendly.

We arrived by bus to find the hotel th first hotel just next to thegate of the old town. Thss more or less 50 m form the bus station. We could leave our luggage for safe keeping at the reception. The staff was friendly an accomodating. They had recommendations for diner withdiscont at certain restaurants. We had to have breakfast earlier due to an early flight. This was arranged without much trouble.
The rooms where spacious, air condition was working fantastic and the beds where comfortable.The next morning the reception organised a taxi to the airport for 100 kuna (we paid 120 kuna and he was 20-min late but the ride was only 5 min) but just as easily a bus (for 15 kuna at 15 min past the hour or 45 min to the hour could just as easlily been caught.)

Let me start by saying that the staff at the Palace Derossi was very friendly and the included breakfast was good. However, it should be noted that this hotel is not a 4 star accommodation. At best, it is a 3 star hotel.

I would still recommend this hotel, but just know that it is not 4 stars as Hotels.com indicates.

This hotel delivered on old world charm, not just the actual building but the room furnishings as well. Our room also had a high-tec computer-run shower. The hotel staff were excellent. We found everyone, including them, very welcoming and all spoke perfect English (and several other languages too).
The hotel location is perfect. So central that if you're out in the town it's no bother to nip back to your room. The only down side of this is that there is a very noisy bar just next door. Some rooms wouldn't be troubled by this but ours was over it. Seasoned travellers will have good ear plugs with them and this solved the problem for us.
The only things that let the experience down was that there wasn't a comfortable chair to sit and read in either the hotel room or the courtyard and reception. We were there for 10 days so this was a miss.
Our room was very clean on arrival but the floor wasn't cleaned after that and became very dusty. The staff were so nice we didn't like to complain (how English is that!) The breakfast had every choice of cold buffet food and the staff offer to cook eggs.
Overall, I would thoroughly recommend this hotel but remember the ear plugs.

Palace DeRossi made me feel like a Queen

Little did I know that I was going to be treated like royalty when staying at the Palace DeRossi. Your smallest need and largest desire was fulfilled by the gals at the front desk with a smile and a laugh. Breakfast was wonderful and who can argue with a cup of hot tea before bed. A minor shower door problem forced a change to another wonderful room where all my belongings were moved for me and placed exactly where they were found in the prior room. I truly feel in love with the hotel and staff. As I left to go to the airport early, early here came sweet Zeljana running down the street to say goodbye. It brought tears to my eyes and I was lucky enough to get a photo also. The hotel owner's son took me to the airport, unloaded my luggage and wished me a safe trip home.

Great place to say in the centre of old town

Great place to stay in the centre of the old town, just a short walk to just about everything.
Only downside is there is a cafe just below your room with loud music pretty late. We didn't mind too much, but if you want to turn in early and are a light sleeper, you shouldn't stay here. That being said, we would stay here again.

Nice Location for the Money

Location was great, just adjacent to the city gate. Room was decent in size and bath was clean. Breakfast was included and was not just cold continental items but also hot made to order eggs. The hotel is next door to a Caffe bar that did nget a little noisy late into the evening but we were so tired it didn't cause us any problems.

Den ansatte i resepsjonen var totalt uvitende. Hun fortalte etter innsjekkingen av hotellet var stengt etter kl 21.00. Dette aksepterte vi absolutt ikke ikke og vi sa at da vil vi ha pengene igjen å finne et annet hotell. Vi måtte fortelle henne at hun måtte finne en løsning. Etter mye telefonering viste det seg at vi kunne gå inn en bakvei.

Det er et hotellrom vi hver etasje og vi kom på toppen (3.etasje). rommet var greit, men med bagasje opp trappen uten heis var det klønete.

Hotellet ligger rett ved en kirke i gamlebyen og søndag morgen starter klokkene å ringe veeeldig tidlig (hvertfall kl 05.30.

Vi vil ikke anbefale hotellet på noen måte.

Wonderful hotel in Trogir old town. We were eight people taking one night stay before flight back home. We enjoyed nice and clean rooms, great early breakfast and excellent service. Strong recommendation!

Stop looking for hotel, because youve found it!

Everything was perfect! We had a double comfort room and it was spacious and clean, also the bed was comfortable! The breakfast was generous and the rooftop had a nice jacuzzi with a view! Tamara was super sweet and helpful, and Mario could guide you through the city in almost every language ;-) If you are looking for a place to stay in Trogir, youve found it! Definately our first pick for our next stay in beautiful Trogir!
