Brown Beach House is a good option if you're looking for accommodations close to the beach. We stayed for 3 days and enjoyed our experience. We found the hotel in general could be cleaner, and the rooms were a little dated, despite being 'modern' in decoration. Our A/C broke the last night before we left, which could have been a problem given the 40 degree weather. The staff as well were not all friendly, and depending on who was working the front desk, we sometimes felt like we were a nuisance.

If you book through Expedia, breakfast is included at their restaurant downstairs, which was a huge plus. We were thinking traditional American continental breakfast, but you can have a large, sit-down breakfast, and it is included in the cost! The food was phenomenal; we had shakshuka, buffalo mozzarella salad, and many dips fresh challah.

Overall, the location and breakfast is worth coming back for, although the hotel is a little small and dated.

We loved the spacious room and location. The beach is right there and it's a short walk to Carmel Market. The room was excellent (we had a room with a patio) with the exception of some plumbing issues. The shower drain made a constant gurgling noise that was super loud and constant throughout our stay. We loved spending time on the patio, it felt like we were experiencing the city even when we were resting at the hotel. The gym was a mess so I ended up working out on the beach. I highly recommend skipping the gym and going to the beach! There's a ton of workout equipment on every beach. The breakfast was delicious.

This was my second stay at the Brown Beach, the first was in 2017. The first stay was great, clean rooms, tasty breakfast... nice lobby snacks. This time the room they gave me was initially horrid, dank and tiny. I was able to move, and the new room was nicer, but the bed was terribly uncomfortable and lumpy, there were cockroaches and the breakfast was not good (undercooked eggs, burnt toast) and good luck getting the attention of wait staff. I was so disappointed. The front desk staff was great, but there's only so much they can do.

I checked in late and the receptionist had an issue with the computer but still was very nice.

The room window was broken and because of that was slightly open all of night, and because of that we had a lot of noises and even an horrible smell during the night that coming from the outside, the breakfast was fine.

I did get there before check in time was told room will be ready in two hours. Came back(two taxis)and was told room will open definitely be ready in one hour. After that hour room was not ready and I had to wait half an hour. Total wait time-three and a half hours. I was lied to twice. Why?

The Hotel wasn’t bad. Beds were comfortable and the staff were nice. But it needs investment as the last 10% just isn’t up to scratch.

For example the gym is horrible. It wasn’t cleaned once during my stay, has exposed wires coming up from the floor and broken air con.
The shower leaks, and the grouting is complete state. The hotel ran out of shower gel and there was no alternative.
Many TV channels were not available (poor signal).
Key cards often did not open the doors.

Very nice hotel in amazing location. Our room was spacious with nice living room and spacious bedroom which was found to be also a shelter... However the room didn’t have much natural light because the only windows were in the bathroom and in the bedroom (if you manage to scroll the iron cover…).
The room wasn’t sealed for noise and there was a wedding party in the next door that were noisy but it wasn’t that bad.
There is an amazing balcony in the first floor that is highly recommended for an afternoon drink.
The staff were absolutely amazing, very helpful and made their best to please you.
There’s free coffee, wine and fruit snacks in the lobby which was fun. There’s enclosed parking which is convenient and reasonably priced. We didn’t take the breakfast because there are better options all around and it was relatively expensive.
The hotel is 2 minutes from the beach and the Herbert Samuel walkway.
In summary very good hotel, excellent location, clean, welcoming, reasonably priced. In its category it’s definitely good and recommended.

Absolutely horrible. Customer service is below the acceptable standard. Once we complained, we received nothing but combative responses without remorse nor apology. We complained about the front desk not picking up the phone after numerous attempts. They responded by saying, “ other customers were more important.” My son is a travel agent and we will never come back to this hotel nor recommend it.

I have stayed there several times, sometimes in a massive, beautiful suite with a large deck, large bedroom, large living room, etc. This time, I think I got the overflow room, seemed like an old utility room with long narrow hallway, weird layout, crappy view. Seems like a roll of the dice for what you get.

The hotel is in a good location being just around the corner from the beachfront. The breakfasts were delicious and the staff helpful.
On the downside there is no restaurant or bar at the hotel and the room we were in was like a box as it had no natural light at all. The window in the bedroom and the window in the bathroom both looked out onto the back of the hotel where there was scaffolding (and workmen) because of work being done. This meant the blinds had to be kept down/closed at all times. The \"living room\" area had no window at all. There are possibly nicer rooms in the hotel but room 103 wasn't one of them.

I need management to call me and get credit for both rooms. I contacted management multiple times about the humming noise from the walls. We were unable to sleep and exhausted from this...The Front desk clerk came to the rooms and witnessed the humming sound. He could not figure it out...It would start and stop...start and stop..Very loud..

After i had been to the beach i walked back to the hotel I left some sand on the floor in reception. The sand was immediately cleaned up . I only stayed at the hotel for my first night in Tel Aviv, but I enjoyed my stay! The bed was so comfortable and the room was very clean. I was greeted to the hotel by a very friendly concierge, a glass of champagne, and jelly donuts for the last night of Hanukkah! We even had a bottle of wine in our hotel room. The hotel is in a great location - minutes away from the beautiful Tel Aviv beach and promenade and about a 30 minute walk away from Jaffa! The breakfast was also amazing too - it felt exactly like we were at a restaurant. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Lovely rooms, it’s a shame the cleaning wasn’t great and the door in the shower was broken and bath towels dirty, other to that beds comfy and hotel is in walking distance from the beach. Eden was amazing looking after us and the guys at the front desk were fabulous! Unfortunately the breakfast staff let the stay down as they were not attentive and rude, took ages to serve food and were not accommodating or polite at all. Eden did her very best to try and resolve the situation but it was a shame this part let down the whole experience.

A nice boutique hotel with excellent service. From the time you register you are made to feel that you count. I was upgraded and the breakfast was included. My favorite was the breakfast. The best french toast with caramelized bananas ive had in my life. At the bar, the bartender makes his own tomatoe juice.... so ask for a bloody mary. Id you meed a tour or want to go surfing, the reception staff are your pwrsonal concierge. My ro was cleaned promptly each day. I qould definitely stay here again.

It doesn't get better than Brown Beach House. Having stayed in so many hotels in Tel Aviv and in other cities in Israel, I can honestly say that this is one of THE BEST! The service was excellent, the staff were personable and genuinely caring, the rooms are beautiful and the location is incredible -- steps away from the beach. I don't know why I would ever stay anywhere else in the future!

It doesn't get better than Brown Beach House! As soon as we walked in we were greeted by name by the hotel manager! The lobby is gorgeous and the room was awesome! Breakfast was one of the best in Israel -- so good that we wouldn't need to eat until dinner! But the most impressive thing about Brown Beach House was the service! All the hotel staff were incredibly friendly and always going above and beyond to ensure we had the best stay possible! Thank you!!! We will definitely be back when we return to Tel Aviv!

Do not recommend. Room dynamic is funky, no proper bathroom, tub which dangerous to enter and exit is located out in the open room. Extremely small room, which hardly any space to place your belongings.
The toilet is separated by a door and there is no exhaust fan in there to circulate the foul odor, and the window is locked shut. There is dangerously scalding hot water that comes from the faucet because there is no water balancing valve in the plumbing system... the builders were cheap when it came to the plumbing. We asked for an additional rollaway bed they said they would bring it and they never did.

Hotel claims they offer King size beds. The beds are queen size. The hotel is convenient to the beach, however, there is no place for a taxi to stop to load or unload. The hotel is NOT handicap friendly. The breakfasts are very good with great wait staff. The house keeping staff is not so good and did not service the room by 3 pm on 2 of 4 days. I requested a 4 star hotel and this did not make the mark.

I did not get the room I was supposed to get. It did not have a sofa and was very small. No space to put anything. They said it was an upgrade because the balcony was bigger. I did not ask for a bigger balcony, I wanted the room I reserved. Also, my curtains did not close properly in the room. At almost midnight I had to wait for the guy to fix it. Thank god this was only 1 night. But I would not recommend family or friends to this hotel.

I arrived at the hotel at noon after 16 hours of travelling and could not get a room but the other couple who were travelling with me got a room right away. No big deal my wife and I just stayed in their room to wait for ours to be ready but after going to the reception multiple times asking if our room was ready it took them until 3:30 to get our room ready so ended up with a late check in after all this. The staff was very nice about this but their excuse was that the housekeeping was short staffed. When we all went up to the other couple's room we were all shocked at how dirty the room was, the sofa was so dirty nobody would sit on it, the coffee table was stained, the curtains in the bedroom had a big stain, the light fixtures were dirty. Not a good first impression so we called the reception and a very nice girl came up right away to handle our complaints. She explained that all the sofas in the hotel were the same and admitted that they were not a good choice of fabric as they stain easily but she assured us that they were clean just dirty looking!. She even took us to multiple other rooms and sure enough every room had the same dirty looking sofas. The owners of this hotel should just admit their mistake with their choice of furniture and replace them. I would write more comments good and bad but this review box is out of room

A great hotel in a great location. I did have problems with my television dropping the signal while watching and the radio channels not being available. I reported it twice but the problem was not resolved and I was not updated re findings.
Hotel staff are very friendly and willing.
Storage for clothes was lacking, no drawers and just a few hangers over the mini-bar and safe area. For a 10 night stay it was very inadequate as I had to store clothes in my case.

LOVE LOVE LOVE

Absolutely loved staying here. Was solo and felt completely safe and loved. The kitchen team were fabulous. I am vegan and gluten free and nothing was a trouble. I would absolutely stay there again. Super close to beach also!
