The location was amazing, we had an upgrade, with more spacious and well equipped room.
The area around the hotel is very nice, the castle is a few minutes away from the hotel.

Nice area, hotel was nice the room was a slightly strange layout but perfectly comfortable and plenty of room. The shower head could do with a proper clean and hallway had a bad smell but overall everything was good. They offered blankets and water bowls for the dogs which was lovely and the staff were very nice.

Lovely well located property, amazing rooms. However the hotel was under construction and we were not told about it. The first morning we had to have breakfast inside our room, the second morning the restaurant was working but barely. The front desk was almost always empty and the people behind it were not very friendly in approach or manner.
The rooms were new and nice and comfortable. From the window we could se the chimneys of the Chateau de Fontainbleau

Very good with a couple of tiny bits missing

Lovely building and setting. Couple of minor issues with air con cooling not really working, and breakfast was a little disappointing (no fresh egg choice etc). Very good staff though.

We stayed here 10 years ago and it was delightful.When we checked in this week we were immediately told”The chateau is closing in 2 weeks for a 2 Year renovation “…it felt like a warning…which in fact it proved to be. The public area and the beds rooms small of stale air and poor plumbing. Tired furniture and poorly looked after public areas…We were glad to leave.Hopefully in 2 years it will be a 4 or 5 star property, it is nothing close to that right now.

Very helpful and friendly staff, fantastic location next to the Chateau. The room we had was peaceful and large. Excellent on site restaurant. Only downside is the restaurant and bar are closed completely on a Monday and Tuesday but there are plenty of restaurants and bars nearby.

High Expectations, Many problems.

In spite of the high review score the hotel has problems. Let me first say that every single employee was fantastic. Very friendly and ready to help. Most of them were very new to this hotel, first week or first day.
Anyway, as mentioned in my previous review, to find the hotel was an ordeal. Directions, even after phone calls, were not clear at all. In fact the address should be the paid parking lot close by.
On arrival our room was not ready and was not going to be ready because the cleaning crew did not show. We were allocated another room. However, on entering the room it appeared that someone (employee?) had slept in the bed.
Third room, for one night, and promise to be moved to another room next day. Have to mention that Francois stayed all the time with us and was lugging our suitcases around at about 90F. He also brought a bottle of bubbly wine to our room.
The next problem was that the AC was not working (in any room). A fan was brought to the room but was not of much help.
We made the best of the rest of our stay. The famous Palace (Napoleon and many other kings) is next to the hotel and really fantastic.

The hotel is steps from Fontainebleau and the room are very elegantly designed. My wife and I stayed in a suite that was stylish and roomy with a modern style bathroom that was almost as large as the room itself. Their restaurant had exquisite french cuisine and good service. We came for 2 days during a trip to Paris and did not want to return - the hotel was great, Fontainebleau is spectacular with its gardens, and the town is nice to walk around as well. WORTH THE TRIP. Kudos to the staff - Navid, Yuann, and Eloise.

The property is beautiful, and the suite has everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The manager of the property however was very rude and condescending when we arrived to check-in (also rude to her staff). I would expect her to have been less pushy and rude to arriving guests that are paying over $350 per night.

The reception by the hotel staff (only one person) was quite disappointing as this person was more often than not quite unfriendly, and the overall feeling was we were being watched, judged, and generally mistrusted for any of our actions (entering and leaving the hotel, staying in the lounge, etc). The checkout was also quite unfriendly as we felt this person was not even trusting that we paid our two nights in full already online. The overall experience left us with a sour feeling and I don’t think we will ever go back to this hotel.

This hotel is very clean, quiet and comfortable and the service is first rate. It is located directly next to the Chateau grounds which are beautiful and a great place to go for a walk. Restaurants and local shopping are a five minute walk away. have stayed here twice and would do so again.

Wow, I enjoyed every aspect of my visit. The location near the castle and town center make this ideal. The hotel is beautifully designed and the rooms are spacious and spotless. The staff was helpful & friendly, but professional and the details impeccable. The breakfast was delicious and worth the splurge. There is nothing to fault, it was outstanding!

Wonderfully designed in a historic building

Amazing how all this can be tucked into a building so convenient. Open space, spotless rooms, atrium, restaurant, etc. Just a block from town. Looked like it was all spotless. Highly recommended

Think outside Paris, people!

Everything is within walking distance. The Monoprix has groceries on the 2nd floor. The bakery is handy. If you just think outside Paris, this is the place. Just go visit the Chateau! Just go have dinner at a new place every night. Make reservations for dinner after 7 or so. Get the breakfast included with your room. Stop being a tourist and enjoy the French culture.
The hotel reception was so helpful in every aspect. Speaking no French I was disadvantaged. They were so helpful in every way. Just be mindful that dinner is late and Monday and Tuesday the restaurant is closed at night. There are plenty of local places open outside your door.

We enjoyed our visit, and the hotel was pleasant and well-appointed. However, there was no heat, and the weather had turned rather brisk. We asked several times at the front desk to have the heat restored, but it was never corrected. We think that the hotel had not switched on their heat at all, since it was still September, but were unwilling to tell us.

Parking was not available at the hotel and a bit confusing with extra expense of parking off site. Breakfast was not included, but there was breakfast at the hotel restaurant.

Hotel is nice, pretty certain it is the best in the area. Make the most of breakfast - its nice but pricey so get there in time to savour it as it finishes, rather unsubtly, on the dot! Also no menu, so not sure what hot options were available?
Food is nice in restaurant (but not amazing), wine very good,service very French!
Only water in mini bar in room. For us it is better to charge for the mini bar and actually put something in it, than have it as 'complimentary' and only have water! Tea & Coffee were available though. Great bath in big bathroom.
Its a town where the hotel is situated, rather than a cute village. We met some nice people though. The hotel service is more polite with a feel of 'we are here if you want us', as opposed to pre-emptive. The design of the hotel was very nice. Beautiful bar, but kind of hard to sit there and feel comfortable as you feel like you are waiting in a lobby. We'd have definitely of spent some time in there if the seating was more sympathetic. I imagine it probably works better in summer when it flows onto the courtyard. Helpful staff, but you don't leave feeling spoilt really.

New hotel from late 2015. First floor rooms could have terraces which is great. Housekeeping left a bit to be desired - water not replenished on day 2 and forgot to clean glasses in terrace so we could use them next day. Rooms is very pretty, spacious and good sized bathrooms.

This is a wonderful hotel, with amazing service from all the staff. The bar is an especially lovely benefit, as a personable and talented mixologist has designed the menu and makes all the cocktails with care and skill. Staff was completely helpful and hospitable. Good location near Fontainebleau. Nice breakfast, a good value, close to everything. Only complaint is that the WiFi was fairly nonexistent and didn't work very well.

Beautiful spot in the center of Fontainebleau. Beautiful terrace as well. All has been recently renovated in this historical building. Room was very nice, tho' bathroom was a bit small. Shower is top notch. Nespresso machine as well as water kettle with selection of coffees and teas. Excellent reception. A real find in Fontainebleau!

Many highs... but watch the lows

When choosing a hotel, this one ticked all my boxes. Quiet area, modern decor, close to the chateau, free wifi. I thought there was room service, but got that wrong. Those are the positives of my stay. I was a little disappointed that after 2 nights here feeling a little under the weather, when I finally felt well enough to go to dinner, the restaurant in my own hotel could not cater for me. I was not in the mood to go hunting restaurants at 8pm after I had just started recovering. The breakfast is mediocre on a good day considering what I paid for it. Added to that the restaurant staff had very limited English (close to none at all) which made things rather challenging. Despite all this I would recommend this hotel, it is comfortable, the rooms are large and the shower is fantastic, but I would definitely warn people of the shortcomings, to ensure it ticks all their boxes.

Modern hotel with friendly staff

This hotel had only been open 3 weeks when we stayed here. The accommodations were impeccable as everything was new and modern.

If you stay here you should definitely grab a drink from the bar. The menu was curated by a local from Fontainebleau and luckily was our bartender. He was extremely friendly and you can tell he really enjoyed his craft. He even told us the stories behind the names of the drinks he invented.

We highly recommend a stay here, it's just a few steps away from the Chateau, you are basically in the backyard.

Déception pour un bel hôtel de 4*. Chambres était peu accueillant, salle de bain sans protection d’eau (il y avait de l’eau partout, même sur le parquet de la chambre), salle de bain pas propre, lits moyennement confortable, le pdj moyen (p ex fromage de supermarché sans goût et pas de choix de pain).
Cadre est très beau et le service par ailleurs correct. Mais cela reste une expérience décevante.
