I had a ground floor (21) in January and temperature in the room was very low. In the bathroom was temperature even lower. When I complained at reception desk, they answered me it’s winter time, so cold should be expected. Such a bad behavior.

It’s only 3-minute walk to the palace and close to restaurants and supermarket and fruit store. The only concern is the ventilation of the room and I saw mold buildups on the tiles of the shower room. The staff immediately cleaned it after I bring out this problem.

I use cpap machine to enable me to breath and sleep soundly. Unfortunatly, the light and electricity went off on the night of June 9 224 to a total darkness, not even fire light backup, not even a backup generator. The hotel was not prepared for such a bad situation. Could not fall back asleep because of the shock of waking up not being able to breath. I called the office and they claimed that never happened before.

Location of hotel was perfect to everything where you would want to go and places to see. Lots of restaurants nearby. The only negative was the size of the rooms. The bed took up the whole space. My husband and I could not pass each other at the foot of the bed because the space was tight. Barely room to store luggage. Few amenities.

IDEALLY LOCATED

The hotel was ideally situated in the town centre, less than 200m from the Chateau. It’s surrounded by excellent places to eat and is easy to find. Parking is close by but is via an underground labyrinth; not suitable for really large vehicles or over 2m high. But it was linked directly to the hotel. The only issue we had was that our room was on the main street and we had the normal cacophony of very late evening and very early morning ‘city’ noises. For an October stay, it was unseasonably warm and the air conditioning wasn’t available. Keeping the windows open was necessary but starved us of sleep because of the noise. But a good hotel otherwise.

ibis Château de Fontainebleau is in a great location. It is very near the Castle and many restaurants and shops. There is a parking lot near the hotel, and the hotel has it's own gated garage for 10 Euro a day. The hotel parking space is limited and the size of the parking space is very tight. We had a small car and had some difficulty getting in and out the garage.

The room was small and sufficient. The shower was strong except the shower door only half covered the shower. We couldn't avoid making the floor wet, but the half shower/bath door is common in Europe. As Americans, we don't understand why they don't make the shower door fully cover the shower.

The hotel didn't provide hand towel, wash cloth, and hair conditioner. They had all-in-one shampoo/hand soap/bath gel. The toilet tissue was very rough. That's why I couldn't give them 5 stars.

Could be improved with just a few adjustments

The hotel room was generally fine, but there was no toilet brush. Since European toilets are more often designed with higher sides that lead to the exit, the result can be pretty ugly. I had to use a plastic bag to cover my hands to clean the toilet. When asked at the reception desk, the reply was, \"we have no toilet brushes.\" Also, there was only one towel for each person. Otherwise, the stay was just fine.

Very close to all the great restaurants and bars.

Great little place. The beds were super comfortable and the hotel was recently renovated. A nice place to stay. The rooms aren't very big for north American standards...but that is expected. Only amenity that was missing was there was no laundry facility. Laundry service was available, but it was a little pricey. A laundromat is about a block away.
Overall, great place and great value. Would recommend.

Hotel and the staff were great - we arrived to town at midnight, and the staff took care of us diligently, made us food, and made sure we have what we needed. The rooms were really small, and when we first arrived, our room and the hallway smelled of body odour, which was not nice.

Budget hotel close to the chateau

The hotel looks very tired from the street and does not improve much on entering. You cannot make a cup of tea or coffee. Although it is complementary you must ask e receptionist and she wil make it for you. Considering we arrived on a Sunday and there was one person only on duty with the phones ringing and people arriving you don't really want to ask. Rooms are very tired and reek of disinfectant or something
. Very unpleasant. A couple of hours of fresh air fixed that problem.

From the minute we arrived, the reception was lukewarm to say the least. What is not made clear is once you park underground you will then have to haul your luggage up 4 flights of stairs, something they could easily have said before you parked. Our room had a flashing,faulty lightbulb which had still not been fixed when we returned after the day out. The fire extinguisher beside our room was on the floor ( with part of the wall) when we came back from lunch and overall the hotel seemed poorly cared for. Hygiene was seriously dubious with a yellow stained toilet seat being the ultimate gross thing. Breakfast was good though!

Was tempted to pick the other hotels closer to the Chateau, but changed my mind instead. This was really close to the train station (though it's actually after a driveway leading to the hotel - so I missed it the first couple of times). With a luggage, I was really glad to have stayed here instead of dragging it 7km to the ones at the chateau. Room was really clean and functional. Liked it and would recommend it.

Nice hotel close to chateau

We arrived early and were give our room and parking space immediately thus giving us a nice long day at the chateau which was the reason for our stay. The hotel is really close to the chateau, its public areas are attractive the whole place is very clean and there is a small outside private terrace with loungers. The staff are very helpful.The only reasons for the two fours rather than all fives were the lift broke down during our stay which was Ok for us as we had small bags and do not mind the stairs but may have concerned some people and as often with Ibis the room was smallish but not tiny or uncomfortable. Would definitely recommend this hotel excellent value for money.

Pratique quand on a des valises et 1 enfant.
Parking sous terrain pour -1,95m
Pas d’ascenseur donc après la rue puis les 3 marches pour accéder à l’accueil, portez vos valises jusqu’au 3eme étage.
Bref si vous avez déjà porté paille copeaux foin malle eau… sur un concours au grand parquet… c’est l’endroit à fuir
Si vous laissez vous camion VL au grand Parquet il vous en coutera 30€ pour faire les 3km entre l’hôtel et le terrain de concours (aller- 30€ retour)
