Very friendly and helpful staff. Spacious room with kitchen, clean well working appliances. Bed was very comfortable. Not the newest carpet. Hotel centrally located. All in all it worked for a couple of days to stay and enjoy the island.

There was an aggressive smell of cleaning chemicals and what could have been laundry detergent was overpowering, so much that we opened the windows and doors to air the space out.

The bed was small for a Queen size and uncomfortable. It was so soft if you got close to the edge you would slide off. Or id your Partener moves it feels like a small eatherquake. No headboard so if you were watching tv the bed would slide and the pillows would fall on the floor.

Overall would I say here again? Maybe but would try one of the cabins or request a bed with a headboard.

Poor management and cleanliness
The heater was so loud and roared all night and made clicking noise.

The bathroom shower/tub had soap scum on the walls and mold in the grout, plus hair on the floor. The kitchenette is rusted and from 1970. The room was very loud due to no flooring.
I decided to talked to the front desk and make the aware. I talked to a very nice front desk rep and she was very kind and empathetic. She wanted me to talk the manager with my concerns as well.
The manager was not concerned and had horrible customer service. When I told him about the situation he Abruptly cut me off to let me know they are getting new heaters and as far as cleanliness... he brushed me off. He proceeded to tell me he was having the girls clean it. That's it.
No \"I'm sorry\" or \"this is unfortunate \" or any kind of concern. Plus he had a smug look on this face. Not good
I, then, proceeded to let him know that his front desk lady has more empathy and concern for this business than he did. I also let him know that he was a terrible manager and had terrible customer service.
And FYI their continental breakfast is a joke. It was a 7-11 pick a crap display.

Room looked like it nothing had been changed/improved since the 80's. Dirty carpet. Rust in bathtub. Chipping paint.

Fitness room was a joke. Only two machines in bad shape. Not only that, you were not supposed to use it until 9 in the morning because there were rooms above it and the noise would wake them. Closed at 8:30.

Breakfast was ok. Staff was very nice. Just need to update rooms.

This motel has some cute decor, but it looks like someone is neglecting the upkeep. Our room had a gas fireplace, but it didn’t work. The sink was clogged and there was mold on the bathroom tiles. The breakfast was minimally acceptable. Housekeeping was poor, I.e. there was a used towel hanging in the bathroom whey we arrived and the bathroom floor was sticky. The staff was friendly and helpful and sent someone to clean our room once we asked. This motel could become someplace cool.

An upgrade to those would be nice. But it warmed up the room, which is the whole point. Would definitely stay there again.

The staff and the endless coffee! This is our second time staying there they’re always really nice and welcoming. The evenings get a little boring and they have some flat rocks around. I decided to paint my ornaments and a couple of rocks and I left them for them. Will be back next time we’ll get a cabin. It’s fun to see the improvements that they do around the place. It’s the little things that matter.

The bathroom way outdated and could use some basic maintenance- a rug on the hard wood floor would be nice- the fridge made noises all night. Stayed in one of the cabins in the back. Front door wasn’t sealed when closed leaving a decent gap and a cold breeze at night. Shower water lost all heat within a few minutes. Trash was full and hadn’t been taken/cleaned out from the previous occupants. Sink was backing up. One of the power outlets didn’t work. Overall felt like a run down cabin with little cleanliness.

Staff was very friendly and gave an information page with wifi password and services they provide! Room did smell strongly of pinesol when I first arrived but went away. The place is older so there was some engrained mold in the shower. Cleanliness of bathroom could have been a bit better, I found a used soap bar in the shower. The rest of the room was cozy and the heat was good. Depending on the side of the building you are on, the parking spots can be a bit small. Overall, not a bad place for the price and location.

It is time to have an upgrade on the beds, was too soft, affected my back. I felt the room was not very clean, the floors were sticky. Overall, just my opinion, it is time upgrade the bathrooms, time to get rid of the grout, it looked dirty and moldy. I understand tiles with grout is very hard to clean, so maybe it is time to get rid of it. The location is great, & the front desk service was very good.

It’s such a cute place to pull upto after a long day of steering. Friendly and upbeat personnel checked us in and made sure we knew everything we needed to know. Beds were comfortable. Sink was a pedestal so no countertop space but the bathroom had everything else we needed. The included Breakfast was good and have several offerings.

The pictures on Expedia were either AI produced or enhanced somehow. As soon as I drove up i could see this hotel was not the hotel advertised. Its in bad shape inside and out. My business partner had to change his room when he wiped the bathroom floor with a washcloth and it came up black. Not dusty, not a smudge, but black, like he'd just changed the oil in his car. It was disgusting. I had to put my shoes on to walk across the carpet in my room. The carpet was so gross. If we hadnt already paid we would have moved to a different hotel. This place needs a total overhall. I will never stay here again.

I've been wanting to stay at this cute Holland inspired Inn, for years. The Auld Holland Inn is located as soon as you enter Oak Harbor. The charming look is what got me. The windmill, the wooden tulips in the windows, as well as the location are all amazing. The customer service from check-in to check-out was very friendly and so easy. The parking was great as well, we were able to park directly in front of our room. I cant wait for our next stay, maybe in one of the cabins in back.

I booked a Queen Suite which was listed as having as having a queen bed and then a couch pull out for my child to sleep in. However, we were put in a very dirty (visible dirt on the floor and counters) room with only a queen bed. We arrived late in the evening and there was no vacancy so we stayed in the room but it was inconvenient to smush all in one bed when I had been expecting two. The person who checked us in was very nice, as was the lady who was stocking the breakfast in the morning. Breakfast was simple continental but it was all clean and fresh so no complaints there.

It was cute and old fashioned. The issues I noticed are that the hard floor made my socks turned black (dirty) even when I wore clean socks. The toilet holder needs to be replaced since it is rusty and loose. The faucets in the sink in the bathroom needs to be fixed, the beds wouldn’t stay still as it is on wheels. It needs improvement.

Rooms are small and archaic. Breakfast was pathetic. Fridge still had last guests take out food in it. Quite a ways out of town, not close to anything. Paid nearly double the price of the Acorn Inn which is in the middle of town, much nicer rooms ... same awful breakfast. Won't stay there again.

Wonderful place

PERFECT PLACE for parents or visitors of enlisted sailors at Whidbey. This place is 7 minutes from base and it is charming and comfortable. the staff are sweet and helpful and the place really is lovely. For those coming to see wildlife and such, it is so close to everything while feeling removed enough to be soooo relaxing. Skyler, who works at the front, is so kind and helpful, and housekeeping is pleasant and warm. The bed was so comfy that i passed right out after arriving. Thank you for taking care of me @Auld Holland Inn!
