This cute property has the potential but falls short. The staff was friendly and we were greeted promptly. The new manager(s?) need to make an ample amount of repairs to the property. Small things like lightbulbs burning out or flickering in the bathroom that need replacing. Bathtub needed a good scrub. Water pressure in the shower was fantastic! The outside sidewalk is crumbling cement but safely you can walk on a small paver path. I had to plug the hairdryer into an outlet outside of the bathroom as the outlet in the bathroom didn’t work. I would have called the front desk but the phone didn’t work. It was possibly on the same circuit breaker as the ac unit that wouldn’t work. The breakfast was good for someone in a hurry to grab and go. TO the manager-you are sitting on a gold mine!!!! if you make the improvements as it’s within walking distance of several great places, restaurants in the vicinity.

This is an old, budget motel, family owned. The rate was cheap and you get what you pay for it. It was relatively clean, but kind of shabby on the outside. People were smoking around my room sitting right next to their doors,. I think I’ll spend a little more money next time. The breakfast was terrible.

I had requested a pet friendly room and didn't get one. The front desk person gave me a room and assured me it was fine even though I said I would find another hotel that could accommodate my dogs. Again, he reassured me. I paid the extra $50 fee for this added luxury
At 9:00 pm, when I was finally relaxing, the front desk calls me to say they got a complaint about my dog barking. She's a shepherd. She barked once at a sound outside. That pissed me off. I told him so. Then as I am sleeping at midnight, two people just checking in were yelling back and forth to each other about what each other had brought in.
Staying at Hilton next time. You get what you pay for.

The Coachman Inn offers both interior‑corridor and exterior room access, which is convenient. The property is older, but the rooms are surprisingly large and nicely furnished. Parking is right outside each room, though the lot has definitely seen better days and has quite a few potholes. That said, the rooms themselves are extremely comfortable and immaculately clean. For the price, it’s a solid value, and I would absolutely stay here again.

Did NOT expect to step over carpet rolls, they were laying new. Stairs were quite steep.

They did have a specific area for pets and provided poop bags but, why people feel they don’t have to or want to pick up after their pets …,.,, NOT property owners fault but sooner or later they won’t allow pets and that’s not fair to people that do pick up after their pets!

If you have a dog, this is the place! Reasonably-priced and not so precious that you're afraid of a single, shedded hair. Fortunately, my do is a white standard poodle, so no worries there; but my research showed, and my one-night stay proved that the Coachman Inn bars none. This hotel is a keeper!

This was a convenient place to stay. The room is spacious and has what you need in the way of a table and chairs, desk with chair, tv, fridge and microwave. The problems were that the room wasn't cleaned well, and the bed was sagging in the middle.

Office is only open during certain times. Found some sort of bug in my bed, bloodsucker. Bites on lower extremities. Back home doctors visit, ending in Prednisone and ointment. Room #43. Be careful. The room l had was horrible .. No a nightmare... The sheets/pillow cases were all yellowed and and HUGE PEE STAINS plus it had BLOOD SPOTS on it too that signals BEDBUGS.. I never stayed there l complained and after what l just witnessed no one in the right mind would stay there.. I ate the cost of the room for the 2 nights so NO REFUND.. PLEASE everyone let this place pass you buy unless you are into a room from hell..

I’ve been coming to this hotel for about the last 15yrs on Veterans Day weekend. Now there’s new owners and it’s awful, the towels/facecloths are dingy and my room smelled like cat urine and the bathroom even had cat litter on the floor. Needless to say I will not be staying here again!

I was fooled by the fake good reviews. The musty smell was OVERWHELMING. There were PAW PRINTS on the fitted sheet, stains on the bed cover and pillow cases. The floor looked as if it hadn’t been vacuumed in a year. Other people’s food on the floor! The toiletries provided were used, the seals broken. When asked for a refund they said they could not provide it because I went through a third party.

We only needed a room for 5 hours from 9am to 2pm. I explained this to a nice young man named Jay. I was hoping to get a reduced rate. There was no flexibility and I had to pay for 2 days. We didn’t even spend a night. Sometimes it’s good customer service to make an exception to the rules. Maybe we could have paid for one night and then an extra charge for staying 3 hrs past check out time of 11am. It would have been very nice but having to pay for 2 nights under this circumstance doesn’t seem reasonable. Maybe Coachman Inn should consider this going forward. Thank you for your time. I’m sure you understand.

The bed was comfortable, the bathroom needs updating/cleaning, the carpets in the hallway were filthy and stained, the tv did not work (this was reported to the front desk upon checking out). We saw only the person at the front desk- instruction and practical experience in customer relations might increase his friendliness. Close to a lot of shops and tourist stuff. The room we had, almost felt like the floor was going to give out. As soon as we walked through the from door it was like a trampoline. Dirty and moldy in places. We didn't even bring in our luggage. We was in late so we stayed but I would not recommend this place unless there was nothing else available.

While our room was mostly clean, the upholstered chairs were dirty with stains and needed cleaning, and the bottom of the bathtub was stained, making it look dirty. There were also patches of black mildew near the tub. The beds were hard, and there was a cigarette burn hole in the top of one of the sheets.Walking inside the main hallway from the lobby to the rooms, the carpeting looked awful, with numerous large stains. It really needs to be cleaned thoroughly, or replaced.That alone would make the inn look so much nicer.
Because of a late check-in, we did not know that breakfast ended at 9:15, which is a very odd time, and was disappointing. Our party was going to swim in the morning, but the pool was locked for the season (even though the days are still warm), and looked very dirty. The staffmember handling check-outs was very pleasant. The property is near the Kittery outlet shopping area and felt safe. Great proximity to I-95.

The online photos do not align with the condition of this motel, it's run down and sad. There was mold on the shower ceiling and visible soap scum around the tub. The air quality in the room was poor and the a/c unit & refrigerator were the loudest I've ever experienced. I literally had to sleep with a pillow covering my ears.
The desk staff were pleasant enough, though. Check-in and out were easy. But I wouldn't recommend this motel to anyone.
