We had a wonderful stay. My co worker got sick and the staff were so helpful. The place is older but oh, so elegant. My coworker is a bit picky where she stays and she will definitely go back. That says a lot

Great location, beautiful architecture but there was no dining options, the desk staff wear many hats so often there was a “be right back” sign out and some of them did not appear to enjoy working their shift.
Strong chlorine smell in the lobby, no dining options, the shower curtain fell down when I hung a wet towel on it (I’m old so I knew how to fix it), housekeeping every third day but if you appreciate character hotels those issues are worth the experience.

Bargain basement sheets, rust in the bathroom shower, kids greasy handprints on the windows, chemical smell in the corridor, no complimentary breakfast, no restaurant, lousy TV choices, door fitting off centre, safe broken, and more. All this for 134.00 a night is robbery.

The king suite with attached living space and pullout couch meant that as parents, we got to have some privacy but still be able to hear if anything was up. Nothing extravagant, but that's ok! Hotel shut off air conditioning day of our trip and my friend had an asthma attack because room was stuffy and hot with no air circulation and we had to leave the property. Then they decided to not refund our room luckily Expedia came to our rescue. We would not recommend although the staff was very helpful they were not authorized to do much it was do to management

This hotel has a great location. Friendly staff and nice rooms. If only each room had their own climate control! Centralized heating - no windows to open so way too warm. We were given a large fan which helped however still way to warm for our liking.

I went to leave my room and the door lock did not work and I could not secure my room. Front desk staff gave me another room (upgrade) immediately. The location is wonderful, stayed with my dog, went for a beautiful walk at lake front, visiting stores on main road. Beautiful.

From the moment I got there the sink was clogged and wouldn’t drain. Front desk couldn’t care less. They absolutely knew there was an issue. I got into the room to wash my hands. The sink never was empty after that. By the next morning, it was at max capacity, you couldn’t wash your hands or face or anything. Front desk said “ok, thanks for letting us know”. Spoiled my stay. Couldn’t wash your hands properly afraid the sink would overflow. They totally knew there was a problem but didn’t care. Didn’t offer any solution.

Our rooms were NEVER done up. They said only ever 3 days. No garbage emptied, beds not made up. When i asked about this the comment was that i should have been told at check in. NO at booking!
Bath tub was slippery with no safety bars or safety strips. Was afraid to fall as i was slipping getting in.
Don't expect my bed changed daily but made, garbage taken and light vacuum.
Furniture and decorations were very old and tired.
No double queen rooms.
Had to go to desk for a pad & pen and kleenex.
Exercise room was in basement, very poor ventilation, no clean mats for floor exercises.
Also heard by several locals that they are closing and even heard its going to be torn down, where's the demo team!
Front lobby is beautuful! After that down hill. Definitely NOT 7 Star! Very over priced!

Floor #3 smelled like old cigarette smoke & so did my room (my friend was in a different room). In addition my room was FREEZING and I was told it was an old hotel and the heat wasn't on anywhere in the building yet. She let me try another room but it was just as cold so I kept my original room. The hotel itself is in a great location by the lake which was nice. We didn't have time to try out the pool so can't comment on that. Be aware that there aren't a lot of restaurants right near the hotel - we drove to downtown where there was better selection.

My room felt musty, the AC did not work and no way to control it. The carpets seemed wet, everything is outdated. I don't understand this place is still open in this condition. This place needs to be rebuilt, I've stayed in a lot of hotels before and this one is one of the worst. The staff was friendly, nothing else.

The place was outdated and needs a renovation. The rooms are original and nothing new about they. They were very clean. Also old AC units that do t work. The hallways were cooler than the room. Stony desk staff was friendly also. There is a bar and a restaurant on scite and lots of restaurants in the area. Some are walking distance. Also water view and water trails

The property is old, and the room that we got initially was damp and there was a smell, so after a few hours, we requested another room, which the management gave us, but the smell was the same (damp) smell and kind of wet feeling. The swimming area is full of might, and it is not recommended for people and kids who have Asthma or allergies

Just okay
The first night the room was damp and smelled of mold. The carpet was actually damp on bare feet. The tub stopper wouldn’t work. The staff kindly moved me to a different room for the second night which was fine.

Loud noises from out room and hallway, room was clean but very outdated incl dining room I had read that rooms were renovated but not ours don’t think the price we paid was fair for the accommodation we had.

This hotel is very old, it has been around 30 years since they last remodeled it. The truth is that the price is very high for what it offers. I would not stay in a place like that again.
