Lovely place for a weekend get away. We booked a suite with a lovely deck over looking Lake Ontario and the marina.
There was a large soaker tub and bath, and faux fireplace. There was a fridge for our beverages and Charcuterie.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Not a deterrent but there are no elevators.

It was a great place to reconnect.
We’ll be back.

I have already sent the General Manager a detailed email regarding our stay on July 11, 2026, but as I have not received a response, I wanted to summarize my concerns here.

Our stay got off to a poor start when the payment terminal repeatedly failed to process both my credit card and my boyfriend’s. Rather than showing patience, the receptionist became visibly impatient, leaving us feeling embarrassed over an issue that was beyond our control.

We were then given no directions to our room or orientation to the property, despite reception being on a different floor. When we returned to ask for help, the response was abrupt.

The room itself was disappointing. Our patio overlooked a generator and garbage container, while neighbouring rooms had much more appealing locations. We also found half-empty toiletries, and later discovered other guests had moved our patio furniture into the middle of the lawn.

The highlight of our stay was dinner at Shore Restaurant, where the food was excellent and the staff were warm and welcoming.

Finally, check-out was just as impersonal as check-in. We were not asked about our stay or even thanked for our visit.

Given the premium nightly rate, I expected a much higher standard of customer service and hospitality. I chose to email management before posting a review, but having received no response, I felt it was important to share my experience publicly.

Great room!! So nice to be by the lake and see it at night and in the morning.

There was an odd loud noise early in the morning like a running furnace machine. Idk what it was. I dismissed it and continued to enjoy my stay.

Nice surprise was the continental breakfast.

Not the Restaurant is a different view. Not happy with the welcomimg of staff at The Shore and We had just checked in and wanted to do lunch and was not happy with the experience and we were waiting and not served for a little so we left and went to Tim Hortons down the road. So that evens it up if what we would've gone for. Instead of the Restaurant. No good. JORDON Great the Restaurant The SHORE Garbage.

Room was clean and esthetically pleasing. There was a bit of mold starting on some of the grout in the shower area, but didn't bother me enough to complain. Balcony was lovely to enjoy a drink and read, although I wish it were cleaner (like a sweep at least). The view over the marina and the lake was beautiful. Will definitely be going back.

Air conditioning could be replaced with something that will seal properly and allow the room to actually cool rather than be muggy/humid.

This place is located right on the lake and the upper floors have balcony's to enjoy the view. There is a restaurant on site but we didn't try it. It has the things we require from a motel: safe, comfy beds, 3 bath towels, doesn't smell like cleaning solution, fridge and microwave & quiet. One note of warning that there is no elevator. Will stay again when in the area.

Pool 9am to 9pm not useful at all and a shame that a beautiful thay size remains empty in the morning or night when people could train and get good active livinf done. Pool window opened to all who come in front desk as no privacy and this would have been of a immense concern for people outside pool area taking pictures. And just looking: very intimidating.
No snack bar, no convenience store, no restaurant opened passed 8pm! Make sure you bring them with you. Breakfast included but not served before 7am! I couldn't have mine as departure was 615am to attend my conference. I sense I paid this and wasted my money. Especially when breakfast are ''continental'' type, they should accommodate guests' schedule. Location is a gem and I did appreciate the upgrade to a suite but I wonder if this was only offer to free the pet room since my plans had changed and did not travel with pet. It was still nice. Tub was very small but glad that there was one: shamefully, most hotel now have taken all the tubs out. Planty of hot water. Pipes are very loud so sorry neighbors if this was too early and too late. The outside terrace of the restaurant wasn't open-ended yet and this was a shame since the weather was 20 sunny and beautiful. The hotel seemed to be understaffed. When asked to have check on room I was told no it separate and when I got the invoice, the lines for room check was on the tab. Miscommunication. Restaurant service was good.

Very nicely located with a beautiful view on the lake and little marina. Very friendly staff. Nice swimming pool. Easy parking. Complimentary breakfast in a relaxed settings with the view from the large windows. Air conditioning was a little noisy. I didn't find creamer for the coffee machine. Otherwise, everything was perfect and the price was great!

Noisy. Children running around under control there was a bunch in the room next to us jumping on the beds with no parents in sit. The manager tried to quiet them down and was unsuccessful so we packed up and left.on our way oit there was a bunch of adults sitting in the lobby drinking. It's a shame was a nice place by the lake.will never go back.

Only problem was the hockey teams running up and down the halls all night, there was barely any quiet the whole stay, which was unfortunate because we went for a quiet stay and were told we would have a quiet room. Some places let you do cash or debit deposits on room holds, but just a heads up that it will only take credit cards for the room hold.

I loved the property. The location is awesome. The amenities good. Loved being on the lake.The cleaning staff was pleasant and replaced the dirty coverlet in our room. The internet was down the two days or our stay-no tv, phones, or internet. I was over charged $10 for my stay for no apparent reason, so I did not get the price quoted on Expedia. That really annoyed me. At this point it does not appear that they are going to resolve it - but I won't keep arguing for $10. Makes me reluctant to recommend to friends, although overall I really enjoyed my stay.

We enjoyed our stay--the renovated rooms were very nice, and incredibly clean. My only complaint is that there isn't much soundproofing, so we could hear everything in the halls which got loud at points since there was a basketball team staying there. Otherwise a great stay for a great price!

The room was very clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, the shower supplies were not full so wasn’t able to have a full use of them. The television must be supplied by satellite as it would lose connection regularly. Over all for what is important to me (cleanliness and bed comfort) I woul recommend the hotel.

This is a bit of a hidden gem and my ratings are reflective of the price point. Location is great. Awesome lake views and area to walk around and enjoy at the rear od the property. Super convenient location basically right on the QEW in the heart of the Bench vineyards. Big pool which was great for having fun with the kid, and updated enough. Bathroom still needed a refresh but for the price point was definitely serviceable. Overall a high recommendation if you can get a good price.

The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making my one night stay truly memorable. The room was spotless and well-stocked, with everything I needed. The breathtaking lake view added to the overall experience.

I understand that some goole reviews may be a bit harsh, but considering the age of the establishment and its reasonable price, I believe it’s a hidden gem. When we arrived at the hotel, we noticed that they were redoing the entire pool and pool area. All of the doors to the exterior were open, which let out the strong smell that came from the area. When we arrived back at the hotel later that evening, all the exterior doors have been closed to the pool area, forcing the toxic smell into the rest of the hotel.
Our rooms were the accessibility rooms, which were about 50 feet from the pool area. Immediately walking into our rooms we noticed the strong smell had seeped thru. By 3am in the, the smell was unbearable and we had to sleep with the patio door wide open with 85 km winds all night. The room was freezing, but it was the only way we could help reduce some of the smell. I ended up throwing up twice at night due to strong smell.
When we went to check out in the morning, the front desk staff had just started their dayshift and even he said he wasn’t sure how he was going to manage to work in the unbearable smell. He mentioned they were currently moving people up to the fifth floor to get away from the smell and we were on the first floor. We did talk to him about a possible refund but he said he had to check with the maintenance department. Not sure what he specifically needed to check with since he himself along with other people staying in the hotel had complained about how incredibly strong and incredibly toxic, the smell was. It’s shocking to me they let people stay in that hotel with that toxic of a smell.

Pool closed again this hotel is advertised with a pool but its not operational. Putting the pool closure on some 4th tab over under policies is wrong when the 1st page shows a pool icon. Room was very hot upon arrival. Room towel had two big holes in it. Front desk staff with the big blonde hair was on several occasions not friendly or welcoming. Go ask her a question and she hardly wanted to look up or answer even a good morning on the way by. No washroom in lobby. Charging exfra for early check in when the hotel is practically empty. The restaurant is more expensive then it should be. Dinner for 2 almost 200$. Rip off.

Room had flies, we had our one year old baby with us. Only thing the hotel offered is free cancellation and we were checking in at midnight when it’s even hard to find a hotel. No discounts or any food voucher was offered.
