The room was very clean and comfortable. Unfortunately, the shower supplies were not full so wasn’t able to have a full use of them. The television must be supplied by satellite as it would lose connection regularly. Over all for what is important to me (cleanliness and bed comfort) I woul recommend the hotel.

This is a bit of a hidden gem and my ratings are reflective of the price point. Location is great. Awesome lake views and area to walk around and enjoy at the rear od the property. Super convenient location basically right on the QEW in the heart of the Bench vineyards. Big pool which was great for having fun with the kid, and updated enough. Bathroom still needed a refresh but for the price point was definitely serviceable. Overall a high recommendation if you can get a good price.

The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making my one night stay truly memorable. The room was spotless and well-stocked, with everything I needed. The breathtaking lake view added to the overall experience.

I understand that some goole reviews may be a bit harsh, but considering the age of the establishment and its reasonable price, I believe it’s a hidden gem. When we arrived at the hotel, we noticed that they were redoing the entire pool and pool area. All of the doors to the exterior were open, which let out the strong smell that came from the area. When we arrived back at the hotel later that evening, all the exterior doors have been closed to the pool area, forcing the toxic smell into the rest of the hotel.
Our rooms were the accessibility rooms, which were about 50 feet from the pool area. Immediately walking into our rooms we noticed the strong smell had seeped thru. By 3am in the, the smell was unbearable and we had to sleep with the patio door wide open with 85 km winds all night. The room was freezing, but it was the only way we could help reduce some of the smell. I ended up throwing up twice at night due to strong smell.
When we went to check out in the morning, the front desk staff had just started their dayshift and even he said he wasn’t sure how he was going to manage to work in the unbearable smell. He mentioned they were currently moving people up to the fifth floor to get away from the smell and we were on the first floor. We did talk to him about a possible refund but he said he had to check with the maintenance department. Not sure what he specifically needed to check with since he himself along with other people staying in the hotel had complained about how incredibly strong and incredibly toxic, the smell was. It’s shocking to me they let people stay in that hotel with that toxic of a smell.

Pool closed again this hotel is advertised with a pool but its not operational. Putting the pool closure on some 4th tab over under policies is wrong when the 1st page shows a pool icon. Room was very hot upon arrival. Room towel had two big holes in it. Front desk staff with the big blonde hair was on several occasions not friendly or welcoming. Go ask her a question and she hardly wanted to look up or answer even a good morning on the way by. No washroom in lobby. Charging exfra for early check in when the hotel is practically empty. The restaurant is more expensive then it should be. Dinner for 2 almost 200$. Rip off.

Where the hotel is located is very easily accessible and has beautiful views. I was put on the bottom floor and because of the laminate flooring you could hear the people above you walking around like they were in your room. It was very loud. I liked the hotel but if I stayed here again I would definitely be making sure I was on the top floor especially if getting sleep is something you were hoping to get. Besides that the rest of my experience was good. The bed was very comfortable!

I was quite impressed how this hotel was transformed. I had my wedding reception and a night stay here fifty years ago that brought me back with my adult kids. Had booked two suites, they loved it. The location is perfect and the view of lake Ontario was fantastic. The hotel staff made us feel at home. Rooms are clean and had the amenities we needed. Instant hot water is a definite plus which made showers a breeze. Others mentioned about outdated furnitures and rooms, they are NOT! I'll be back again.

Very nice hotel.

Stayed overnight for a wedding at Cave Springs Vineyard, a quick drive from the hotel and the QEW is nearby.
Very nice location next to Lake Ontario. Noticed the hotel has a nice size pool, great if you have kids with you.
As ours was a quick overnighter we didn't use the facilities or neighbouring restaurant, but I would recommend this Ramada to anyone who needs to stay in at area.

I kept seeing these charges coming on my credit card during my stay when I had only authorized the $150 security deposit and paid for the rest of my stay by debit. Come to find out after departure they double charged me for my room price. They claim I’ll be receiving a refund on my debit but my concern is that I only authorized the security deposit to by credit card and now I’m being charged the full room price.

We stayed one night, came for the wedding in the area. Room was clean, complimentary breakfast a nice touch, staff kind and helpful. The only thing is that they should maintain the building better. To clean the main entrance door, same as back one. Just to make the first contact more presentable.

I liked the view, the staff was also very friendly and attentive. It was only the fruit flies being in the room since check in, and the fact that there was a kid sneezing in the complimentary breakfast and using the tongs to play with, I wish the staff had said something o the parent. Otherwise, beautiful view.

Good Accommodation for People Travelling with Dogs

I am grateful that this hotel offers dog-friendly accommodation with direct access to the outdoors on the lake side. The accommodation was just fine - comfy beds and pillows, clean bathroom etc. my only criticism is that the room smelled so overwhelmingly of some type of cleaner (I’m guessing) that I had to leave the sliding glas door open for over an hour, while roaming around outside and hoping not to get burgled! When I went back in it was bearable, but I did leave the door to the outside open about 6” for the night so I didn’t get a migraine from the smell. I also turned off the AC unit, and wondered if something in it had been dispensing into the air.

I realize that not everyone is becoming super sensitive to odours of chemical cleaning products, but I believe more and more people are starting to experience this. I don’t know what the alternatives are - of course clients want clean accommodation while travelling. However, there might be some less odourific choices available! Thank you!
