Visit was exceptional. The only complaint, if one could call it a complaint, was there was only one small round bar of soap in the bathroom for 2 people.

1. The room was beautiful and the hotel has an overall historic charm about it.
2. The bed was very comfortable.
3. There was a wedding on during our stay and our room was right over the hall where the wedding was taking place. When we returned from dinner, the noise from the wedding was loud as we waited for the elevator in the lobby and we expected we were going to be listening to that all night, but the hall must have been sound proofed because we could not hear a thing in our room.
Areas for improvement:
Cleanliness of the room left a little bit to be desired. Nothing gross, but just small things like the lampshades had not been dusted in a long time.

I got up in the night and went to go across the room and remembered the location of the table at the last second. Because of how low it is, if I had run into it I almost definitely would have crashed down on top of it. Putting luminescent strips or something on the edges of the table surface so that the dimensions of it can be seen in the dark would be a good idea to prevent injuries.

Once we were settled in for night we noticed the room wasn't thoroughly cleaned (there were signs) and I contacted the hotel in the morning and they offered to fully clean the room or move us. We accepted the deep clean. I appreciated how they fixed the situation.
Please note that you can't adjust the temperature in the room. The thermostat is locked. I reached out to have it unlocked and they said that wasn't possible. As a perimenopausal woman I found it difficult to sleep. So for night 2 we bought a desk fan for the nightstand.
We didn't eat at the restaurant but it looked nice.
This hotel is listed as a boutique hotel. Nothing seemed extra special. It was cool that it was an old mill and the stone inside was gorgeous. Other than that it was pretty standard.
Some suggestions might be:
-offer a coupon for the restaurant

After a short wait for the front desk clerk check in process was painless as we had prepaid rooms from Expedia. Rooms are spacious and clean . Italian restaurant with bar downstairs was very convenient . The food was good, not great, but good. All in all I would recommend this hotel.

Very quaint property with nice decor. Took a minute to figure out where the front desk was since it was in the back and unmarked and unmanned. Bed was a little hard. Pillows had chopped foam stuffing. Desk chair had broken legs. They did put two bottles of Kirkland water in the fridge.

We stayed in a suite with the loft. Very unique room. Location was nice- about a 20 minute drive from any of the places you want to see in the region. Plenty of restaurants, bars, grocery stores, etc in walking distance. Very much enjoyed our stay here. Attached restaurant was pretty good as well.

The Stone Mill Inn came as a wonderful surprise to both my wife and me. We knew it was presented as an upscale experience, but we have been disappointed by other hotels that have made the same claim. Here, the staff was wonderful, and the room was one of the top five hotel rooms that we have ever seen. It provided a king-size bed, a large, separate seating area with a sofa and overstuffed chairs, old-fashioned and beautifully maintained stone walls, two large inset windows, and an extra-large bathroom. There really were no negatives. We plan to stop in again the next time we are near the Canadian side of Niagara Falls. Do yourself a favor and try The Stone Mill Inn. You will not be disappointed.

We absolutely loved our stay. The room was way nicer than we expected. We had a Jacuzzi suite with a balcony. The room had a kitchenette with cups, plates and silverware, coffee, tea and water restocked daily. It was super clean and probably the quietest room we've ever stayed in. The location in St Catherines is very convenient - walk to Starbucks, Sobeys, Subway, barBURRITO, LCBO... pretty much everything you would need. And it's only a 20 minute and very scenic drive to NOTL. The hotel has attached businesses such as a spa and an Italian restaurant which we did not eat at but it seemed to be very popular. The architecture and decor of the hotel is beautiful. My only minor complaints are that the TV was a bit complicated to use and we had to call for assistance, and the lighting in the bathroom was not great for putting on makeup. We would absolutely stay here again!

Beautiful rooms but if you like big windows in the rooms or a balcony these rooms may not suit your fancy . Friendly and helpful staff and overall excellent value for the money we paid through Expedia. Please note that one of the main roads that lead to the hotel goes across a lift bridge and car/bus transportation to or from the hotel may get delayed. Do your research if this might be an issue.

I went to Stacked for breakfast around the corner which was a great option for breakfast or you can eat in the room since we had a fridge (that’s what my wife did). We also ate at Johnny Rocco’s Italian grill in the hotel lobby and it was also good.

The hotel is unique and takes u back in time. The room was large but that may have been because it was a deluxe king room. The room was quiet. We asked for the quiet side of the hotel which faces away from the main road.

Loved the decor and furniture as well as the small kitchenette was very handy, we would not only recommend this Hotel to anyone but we will always stay here now!

Not the closest hotel to stay at if visiting Niagra Falls but not terribly inconvenient either. Stayed in the loft. Has kitchen and minimal kitchen supplies: dishes, utensils. But no soap or dish towels for cleaning. Staff does do that but it is nice to keep kitchen clean instead of piling up dishes. Simple things like salt and pepper would be nice. Bathroom is odd as it is open literally to livingroom through two \"windows\". One has blinds and the other...just an open hole in the wall. Pull out couch in not very comfortable and blanket has a few holes in it. Fireplace was a nice cozy touch.

Great stay with wonderful beds but pilliws not great. Couldnt make room cooler as it was locked on heat which was frustrating as the room was very warm for sleeping so didnt sleep great.

The stone mill inn was beautiful! The bed was very comfortable as well as the pull out couch.
We had coffee in the room, there was bottled water in the fridge, plus a stocked kitchen with 2 burners.

I booked this hotel because of its history, architecture and spa as a mom and daughter getaway.
It lived up to expectations except that staff failed to mention that the Spa was under renovation, that was disappointing.
The room was clean with a small refrigerator and microwave.
The bed wasn’t the most comfortable but ok
We didn’t see much of the staff which was fine with us as we were there for the peace and quiet
We would stay here again but would appreciate honesty if the selling feature such as the spa is not up and running
