A weekend stay to remember

I chose this Bed and Breakfast because of its name and certainly the pictures and description. It was my first time staying in a Bed and Breakfast in Canada. We like vintage and all the feels of it and this place served that up. It was clean, our room was very comfortable. Our hosts were very nice and welcoming. Breakfast was a big one served on, you guessed it, vintage dish ware. We enjoyed homemade muffins. Delish. Plus, get this, we broke bread with the other guests who were so nice that we sat around the breakfast table and chatted for a while. Some were visiting from Malta, Germany, Detroit and London Ontario. Lovely people. We are going to stay At a Moment in Time, again. Our hosts made our stay delectable.

I found this property very charming! The flowers were stunning and rhebroom and bathroom very quaint. Had everything you needed for a relaxful night.

Highly recommend for one or even two nights.

They were a little strict on breakfast time.

Interesting old house. Our room was very dusty and things were dirty. Needs a lot of cleaning. While this is a bed and breakfast, it needs updating big time. Bathroom needs work. The staff was friendly. The interface with the staff and logistics are odd though. Breakfast was okay, not your typical expectation of a bed and breakfast.

Room & facilities were adequate & quaint. Bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was adequate & inkeeping with the house. Cook could do with some culinary lessons. No milk for ccereal on day 1 & 2, we were only told that milk was available on day 3 after the cooked breakfast was delivered. Received milk on day 4 in the carton. Obviously milk is not normally supplied. Stains on table cloth indicated that it hasn't laundered.

Lovely stay

Arrived late at night, got a very clear instruction on the door with key inside the envelope. Room is very clean and cosy, truly a moment in history. Breakfast is delicious, staff is very friendly, and they got a lovely garden. Would book more days next time I visited the area!

A Moment in time is a lovely and relaxing B&B! The old Victorian home was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. The outside garden maintained by owner Dodie was just gorgeous. Each morning the home cooked full breakfast was absolutely scrumptious and served on beautiful china. It’s about a 15 minute walk to the Falls but we had rented a car so that we could tour the countryside as well. The host was very accommodating and helpful. We loved our stay at a Moment in Time!

The whole house is adorable! We felt so welcomed and breakfast the next day far exceeded my expectations. I wish we could have stayed longer.

As for the location, I liked that is was a fairly easy ~15-20min walk to the falls (parking there is a real problem)

Unique house and grounds

The gardens were amazing with their little bungalow setties, and unusual statues, and Oddities amongst them. Rooms were very nice, and a personalized breakfast great. Just a little too far to walk to all the excitement for older people( Downtown parking was terribly expensive).

I stayed here for one night with my boyfriend, and I wished so bad I could have stayed longer! This place was the perfect weekend getaway for a young couple. Super romantic!

The bedroom was much better than the pictures, with expensive vintage furniture and on-theme paintings and vases decorating the room. The interior design was perfectly done so much so that I was convinced the owner must be an interior designer. In fact, I heard he often goes to flea markets in search of vintage treasures to decorate his B&B with.

Our room had a giant canopy bed with four pillars on the sides. Best bed ever. Great for one romantic night wink wink.

They served us an awesome breakfast in their formal dining room which was also lavishly decorated. The food was filling, delicious and nutritious.

The hallways and other rooms were also meticulously designed to be on theme for a vintage, grandmother style home. There were large collections of plates, cups and spoons adorning the walls. If I visit Niagara falls again, I would love to stay here. I would highly recommend everyone to go here!!

Unfortunately there was a serious wind storm during our stay knocking out power. There was no communication at all from the operator and we had to call them for a candle. There was no communication in advance of our arrival either. The room was comfortable and so was the bed, however, there were cobwebs everywhere and the rads hadn't been dusted in a very long time. Overall, ok but not among the best we've stayed at.

Great place for a weekend getaway

Clean, quiet and a very nice property. Breakfast was good (although they asked for allergies and ignored mine) but there were plenty of alternatives available.

Price was unbeatable. Would return for that level or slightly above. About a 15-20 minute walk to the heart of the Stanley Ave area so the location cant be beat.

The guys that own this property are the nicest people and really know how to run a bed & breakfast!! Breakfast in the terrace room was like eating in the 1800’s! Regal and oh sooo good. We stayed in the Tower Room that had an attached bathroom in the turret. The stained glass windows, jetted tub and beautiful lighting provided one of the most relaxing baths I’ve had anywhere. Better than the most expensive spa I’ve ever enjoyed in all my travels. The name of this establishment is truly accurate. If I walked through the house and the incredible gardens I could easily be in the 1800’s. Great place.

Very classic, antique/like. Clean and obtains all necessary amenities. Be sure to check which room you select, they all come with different assets, for example the washroom for this room was extremely small.
A little further than expected from attractions. About 20-25 minutes walking.

Most stunning guest house I've ever stayed in.

Amazing guest house with a stunning, peaceful 10 minute stroll to Niagra Falls.

We stayed in the Sheriff Suite which was above and beyond our expectations. Our hosts were super friendly and informative of what to do and must see places.

This really is a special place to stay and much nicer than any high rise hotel. I would highly recommend this gem of a place and would defiantly stay again.

Clean homely stay in an old home with wifi

Very Friendly Hosts; Beautiful Garden Outside; Directions left by our host for our lte arrival worked out very well. Nice walk to the falls, along the falls and back ~ total about 45 minutes is something you should do early AM when there is hardly anyone on the streets and you get a different view of the falls. Dont expect big TV or hotel like services...

Lipstick on a peacock

Well my initial thoughts of the neighborhood were not so great. Kinda run down. But the actual landscape of just the BnB was very pretty. Although the house and entry was pretty dilapidated could have fix the steps with $5 bags of concreete and sort of duck taped together, baseboard falling apart, layers of paint everywhere. No attention to detail. not a greeting in sight as the grounds man was outside watering the yard. We knocked and no answer. The bed was amazing!! And it was very cool and comfortable. Had a good nights sleep and in the morning a very friendly greeting with a great breakfast and lots to choose from.

Good value with short walk to/from the falls

Older structure that is well maintained. Breakfast both day was very good. Room and bath were clean and functional. Window A/C unit worked well. Bed was comfortable. Pillows, as mentioned in another review, were not so good. Fortunately we brought out own which we used the 2nd night. Grounds have a garden area that is beautifully maintained. Walk to/from falls is about 15 minutes with reasonable neighborhoods. All in all a reasonable value for the price paid.

Last minute Overnight

We decided to extend our trip and stayed here last minute. The room was great for the price. We loved all of the old pictures and artwork in the building and it really showed the care the owners put into everything. Breakfast was delicious and it was a pleasure chatting with David before we had to leave.

Kind of a run down old place

We stayed here one night on a trip through Niagara. When we arrived there was nobody else in the building. No guests, no staff. The web pictures were charming, but the condition of the building was disappointing once we got there. Room keys were taped to the door with a list of instructions. We locked the door when we left in the morning and never saw or talked to any staff or guests. Strange.
