Our goal was to have the best views possible from the Canadian side of the Falls and this room did not disappoint! We were in room 1319 and the views were spectacular! The beds were comfy and the room was very spacious. The location was perfect! We were just steps away from the Incline Railway that takes you down to Table Rock and to the WeGo bus stop. We purchased the premium Niagara Falls Pass that included parking at Rapidsview and unlimited Incline Railway rides. Highly recommend this hotel and we would gladly stay again!

the hotel was just ok. The view was good and the location was good. However, this in no way is a resort and after I arrived- they tacked on a resort fee. Also in Expedia, it says self parking. And that is true, you park yourself then they charge you $50 a day to do so. This should be in the description on Expedia. Overall, the hotel was much more expensive than I anticipated for the facility. It is older, and the staff is slow to do things like empty the trash cans in the lobby even when they are literally overflowing. The beds were comfortable.

Budget friendly stay during busy season. Don't use the toilet it will get clogged. They upgrade you from a river view to a falls view when in reality its all a falls view. Parking is crazy expensive and its not sheltered parking. Next door is cheaper and its a parking garage. Location is great close to everything. Beds are not comfortable at all and the Observation deck is not a deck its a hallway. All the rooms have a view so to pay extra for something that you get anyways is stupid.

The staff were terrible! There were 2 attendants, no designations for a line up and so the assumption is that which ever attendants finishes first takes the next person in line. Nope! Not in this case. I was standing in line waiting for 2 mins with my crying baby in arms, and a lady buds right in front of me and and the attendant acknowledged me, told her I was next, the lady said “oh I just need this” took her instead of me, waited another 5 minutes aside from my 20 mins.

The attendant took me I complained she said I was wrong. After a 2 mins back and forth she said she was upgrading me to a better room. This was a lie because I was the same room I had already paid for.

Given the time of the night and that I had a crying sleeping child I didn’t persist. I will however be sending a complaint to the hotel directly. I don’t believe the price was worth the room or service!

Starting with safety issues. The hot and cold was swapped on the tap to the shower. This could lead to burns if someone wanted to quickly turn to cold water and actually turned to full hot water. The elevator moved up about 1 - 2 inches while I was getting off of it. An elevator shouldn't move when the door is open.

Next is general complaints. The bed sheet had a hole in it, the shower head was way beyond its useful life (spraying everywhere and not able to adjust it), the shower curtain was coming apart causing water on the floor, the drain in the tub was slower than the shower head causing you to stand in more water the longer the shower was, the mattress was starting to sag so my wife and I spent the night trying to not roll into each other.

Considering the cost of the hotel room, most of these issues are easily and cheaply fixed. Overall, I do not suggest this hotel.

We saved some money and went for a lower floor (4th). Probably a mistake.
There are serious issues with check in, every day at 4 there were people all over the lobby waiting for their rooms to be ready. Ours wasn’t ready on time so we couldn’t take our things up before our appointment.
The hallway carpet is absolutely disgusting and smelled of cat pea. Water all over the floor in the ice room and an old tv box shoved beside the machine. There was trash sitting in the hallway outside of rooms overnight and even a pile of sunflower seeds outside the elevator that was still there when we left after our two night stay. The room was updated a bit, thankfully the carpet has been replaced. The beds are big doubles not queens. Bathroom needs updating. Overall a run down property with some cheap improvements. The lobby bathroom was also not in good shape. Apparently the views are stunning on the upper floors, ours was a river view and all we could see was parking lot. Not enough elevators for busy times and the one by the pool had doors that were occasionally stuck open.
If you’re springing for a high floor maybe it’s a different experience but I’d never count on a smooth check in. We won’t be back.

I prepaid for my hotel stay, but when I arrived, I was informed that the hotel was under construction and undergoing renovations. Instead of receiving the room I had booked, I was told to stay at a different hotel.
I had specifically booked a room with two queen beds, but the replacement hotel only provided a room with one bed, which was not what I had reserved or paid for. This caused significant inconvenience for my family.
If a hotel listed on your website is under construction or unable to accommodate guests, customers should be informed before or at the time of booking. This information should never come as a surprise upon arrival.
Overall, this was a very disappointing and frustrating experience. I expected the booking details on your website to be accurate and reliable, and I believe better communication could have prevented this situation. I hope you will address this issue and provide appropriate compensation for the inconvenience caused.

The cleanliness wasn't up to par, especially the glass on the 14th floor overlooking the waterfall. The glass was covered in cobwebs on the outside and fingerprints on the inside, and there was also some juice spilled on it. I don't recommend it. The room was very far away, and there's a flight of stairs before it. If you have a tiring mind, it's very difficult to climb, and the corridors are very narrow.

I was shocked to find out that I had to pay $50 a night for parking on site. I honestly thought that breakfast was included but it’s was not. There was about $75 in fees that no one could explain. The AC was rumbling our first night and someone did come up and fix it after I complained .thank god. We did not have maid service for our stay and had to ask for towels and toilet paper because there was 1/2 roll. Also the body soap in the shower was missing so we had to ask for that. We had a suit that over looked the falls which was nice but they really need to wash the exterior windows and the fix the seals because one window was cloudy. But other than that we had a good time

On two occasions other guests were allowed to cut in front and when we questioned this we were told that they were already guests. So I guess until you check I. Your not important. We loved the waterfall view from our room! We looked forward to sitting in front of the windows every night to watch the waterfalls light up and the nightly fireworks. The King bed, although seemed old, was comfortable if you slept right in the middle. Blackout drapes is a plus. However there is no regular housekeeping service! We were told to just call down and ask for clean towels or amenities for the room. We did this twice and once they brought us only two sets of towels. No one ever was available to empty trash. We took it to the downstairs lobby trash cans to dispose of it, and used our own plastic shopping bags to reline the 2 trash cans. Once we picked up all the accumulated towels and put them outside the door. There was no one available in a 5 day stay to bring us more soap, toilet paper, hand lotion. Once we spotted a towel cart in the hall and replenished our towels. Also be aware there is no coffee pots in the $300 a night room. Hot coffee is available in the lobby, but try getting down the elevators in the morning when guests are checking out. Sometimes this took 15 minutes to go down to the lobby, get coffee, and return to the 10 th floor. The Applebees is not a great restaurant to resort to for breakfast or any meals. Broken sidewalks on the way and understaffed dining room. They did accept both Canadian and American dollars however which was nice.

Observation deck windows dirty and foggy where I couldn't observe the cheap fireworks show that you have to pay for with a tax wherever you go in town. I went with my and they wanted to leave the very night we got there. The hotel is in a great location and our room was directly facing the falls. This were the only positives about the hotel. Some of the receptionist were very friendly. The owners run this place like slum landlords. They assume because of the location they don’t have to keep this place up and they will still make money. This place need a complete overhaul.
My advice to people, stay as far away from this place in its present condition. Even motel 6 is better.

Honestly this review will be a bit pointless. We were moved from the Oakes to the Hilton across the street because of an issue with our room. I can say, even from the second floor the view of the river was great. We were in an amazing location, a 45 second walk from the tram to the falls, many residents in the area and the casino entrance in the back garden. The staff were so kind and accommodating as well as apologetic when there was an issue with the room. I can’t speak for the quality of the other room but ours was in rough shape. From the images online it almost looked as if we were booked in an unrenovated room. The decor was completely different, there was no fitted sheet on the bed and overall the room was not very clean. We were informed immediately this was a hotel booking error and we were moved within the hour. 10/10 us timer service the staff were amazing, just unfortunate the room we were booked in.
