Hotel area near the pool is very humid and the odour from the pool chemicals are strong. Only one ice machine on main floor for all floors so a bit of a hike for ice

I’m torn writing this review because we actually had a very nice day on the property and there were a lot of fun little amenities for teenagers that were appreciated like Instagram photo op spaces, a high-end boutique with some really fun items, indoor pool and a patio.
My complaints are related to adult things like there was surprisingly no mini fridge in the room! I didn’t even think to look if there was one when we rented because I would assume that’s a standard piece of equipment. After going out to a big dinner with lots of leftovers, we couldn’t even keep them because we had no fridge and we were unable to keep our drinks warm for back in the room. It ended up becoming a big pain in the butt.
We noted a musty smell in the building, not uncommon with somewhere on the edge of the water that also has an exposed indoor pool, but it was fairly noticeable. This also meant there was crumbling… I don’t want to say moldy, but certainly areas of frameworks of windows and doors that were in disrepair. We also had an odd moment where the front desk called us at midnight to confirm everyone was in our room, they couldn’t provide an explanation as to why we received that call and that kind of left me feeling unsettled as well.
The building-great location and distance to Clifton Hill, beds were comfortable, the room was clean, there are nice robes in the closet, otherwise a wonderful stay. Warning Niagara Falls is incredibly expensive. A dollar store stuffy is $45. Good luck!!

Stayed in Room 250 off interior court yard. Long haul from reception. Bit of a maze. Didn't park or use restaurant. Main building interesting. Lovely old stone and beams. Room, linens clean and new. Exterior walkway carpet worn and not vacuumed well. Also some halls stained and worn. Odd configuration of 2 queen room. No art or décor. TV only Roku or subscribe to other. No cable (CNN, ABC, etc.) No information on how to use TV or coffee maker. Shower only half water and other half out tub faucet. Cute retro fridge. Newer AC/heat system. Staff at check in good but tried to check in around 3:15 but room not ready. Around 4 when we checked in. Close to Skylon, Fallsview Casino and restaurants.

Fine for price.

Hotel is very nice. Not your traditional high rise. Checkin took longer than I expected considering I'd already checked in on line and I was to simply pick up my key but that was not the case. I had to provide my id and CC again. The room was as expected except the tv didn't work at all (and no one seemed to care). They ask if you need anthing to contact quite frequently in text and email but don't really care to do anything about it. the one sink was missing the entire soap dispenser and there are no do not disturb signs. The hotel was clean and showing signs of repair but fine for a one night stay. We did not use the restaurant as the prices were way too high. Also be prepared to pay an extra 45.00 for parking.

We arrived at the Old Stone Inn and completed check-in on an iPad while the front desk staff observed the process. After receiving the keys to our two rooms, we headed out for the day.

When we returned, we were looking forward to relaxing and taking a shower, only to discover that the complimentary bath products in one of the rooms were empty. We texted the front desk, as instructed for any issues, but the replacement products were mistakenly delivered to the other room.

Both rooms had air conditioners that rattled loudly, making it difficult to sleep unless they were turned off or earplugs were used.

At 5:45 a.m., I received a text reminding me that our breakfast reservation was for 8:00 a.m. This reservation had never been communicated to us beforehand. To their credit, the staff were accommodating and moved our reservation to a later time when we requested it.

There was also a sign in the lobby stating that the bar and lounge were open daily, but they were not open during our stay. Additionally, the courtyard was filled with small buildings and did not provide the relaxing outdoor space we had anticipated.

We were genuinely looking forward to our stay at the Old Stone Inn, but unfortunately, it fell short of our expectations. While the staff were helpful when concerns were raised, several issues affected our overall experience and made it difficult to fully enjoy our visit.

The room and linens were clean. I booked here specifically because it is a local hotel, not a chain, but I regret the decision. The staff were clearly there just for the pay check and offered no help with my questions about my stay. Be warned! This property charges $40 per night to park in their lot. There is a lot across the street for the Skylon that will charge you $10 and you can park overnight. There is also a $40 fee for late checkout. I was not impressed by the property or staff. The location is great.

When you're ready to upgrade from a motel on your Niagara Falls trip, this is the place to do it! Super conveniently located right next to the tower, it's easy to walk down to the falls or over to the boardwalk. Rooms are quiet and comfortable, with plush pillows and towels. Didn't stay long enough to use the pool but it looked nice. Parking available but expensive. There's also a nice lounge with outdoor patio if the grownups want to have a cocktail after doing kid stuff all day. Only thing that was a bit weird was that they send a lot of messages beforehand... I sort of don't want to talk to my hotel that much. But I think they're just trying to be thorough. Would definitely stay again!

We loved the ambiance and general aesthetic. Loved how old parts of the building were (the old mill is evident in the ceilings, entrance and dining areas), but the rooms were new, updated and spacious. Site was convenient and central without being in the middle of noise and tourists. Close to lots of restaurants and casino. Parking available is always a plus. Restaurant is a bit pricey with limited options. We chose to eat elsewhere. Staff were very helpful, informative and friendly. Overall a highlyw recommend. We’d book again!

Air conditioner made noise all night. Being late & wanting to rest for the next morning we did not notify the front desk. The room was warm all night. Air conditioner needs servicing.
The T V was working intermittently & could NOT change channels. Could not even shut off . After multiple tries finally shut off. (possibly just batteries)
The beds were poorly made & sheets appeared to be thrown on the mattress. Did not stay in place.
Room needed a good cleaning - musty & needed TLC. The room temperature was 30 !!!
Will think twice About returning & definitely receive some sort of credit for dealing with a noisy air condition/non functioning TV/ 7 Warm room.
Will not consider returning again.

The hotel looks beautiful at first glance, but a closer look shows that it isn’t very clean—even the bedsheets were questionable. The staff seemed annoyed by simple questions, check-in took over 20 minutes despite online pre-check-in and only one person ahead of us, and the common areas were hot and stuffy with no air conditioning. Unfortunately, the appearance didn’t match the experience.

The hotel is far from cheap, yet the level of service is surprisingly poor. Even in much less expensive hotels, there is usually a complimentary tea and coffee station available 24/7 in the lobby or restaurant area, with cups, tea bags, sugar, and other basics provided for guests. Here, everything comes at an additional cost.

The parking situation is even more disappointing. The hotel charges $45 per day for parking, while the parking lot is almost empty most of the time. Guests are forced to look for alternatives across the street, where parking costs nearly half the price. It is difficult to talk about customer care when such excessive fees are imposed.

The property itself also feels outdated. The carpets in the hallways are old and worn, and the staircases are in poor condition. On top of that, the swimming pool has an extremely strong chlorine smell, making it unpleasant to use.

Overall, the hotel does not provide the level of comfort, service, or value that its price suggests.

The hotel has many positive aspects. The lobby, outdoor areas, restaurants, pool, and the small shop inside the hotel are all very nice and well maintained. The staff was exceptionally friendly & pet friendly and welcoming throughout our stay.

However, there was a noticeable smell throughout the hotel, which may be due to the age of the property. Unfortunately, the rooms did not feel very comfortable or cozy. They appeared outdated and also had an unpleasant odor, which affected the overall experience.

Unfortunately nothing was open at the hotel (restaurant, lounge, gift shop). The restaurant looked very nice but when we looked at the menu for breakfast it was way over priced. Dinner like prices for breakfast!! There was no refrigerator in the room which was a bit of an inconvenience and the hotel smelled very badly of varnish as they had just polished the floors. There is on site parking that we had to pay for which we though was quite ridiculous as the parking lot and hotel were empty and it’s literally part of the hotel property. Overall it was clean and the rooms were inexpensive but not sure we would go back

Based on the mixed reviews of this place, I was a little worried about my stay. But, I had nothing but a wonderful experience. The staff were welcoming and helpful. I forgot to advise at check-in that my partner would be arriving later, and the front desk called me to confirm I was expecting a male guest when he arrived. I appreciate the diligence and guest safety mindset. My courtyard room was clean, and everything was functional (air/heat, fridge, coffee machine, lamps, etc.). Had a nice swim in the morning. The pool area does need maintenance, and evident mold on the ceiling. But it was nice to have robes and towels included. The overall property had great character and decor, and was well maintained. The hotel is accessible to everything and a great place to stay for the fireworks. The display is set off at the right end of the street and down the path from the hotel. I took advice from reviews and parked kitty corner to the hotel and saved some money rather than parking on site. I was not hit with any of the resort fees that were mentioned in other reviews. I booked through Expedia, and had no challenges with check in/check out. Overall excellent stay, and I will definitely be returning.

We didn’t use the pool so can’t comment on that. Location was pretty good, a couple kms to the falls. I think If I were to come back I’d spend the extra money and stay closer because if you don’t like walking then you have to pay to park closer to the Falls on top of the $40 parking fee of the hotel.
