Disappointed with one night stay. My Auntie got bed bugs bite. She didn't noticed til she started itching both her arms got red bites up to her left neck. Also the air-condition had that loud sound that we couldn't sleep. I ended up shutting it down almost morning just to keep it cool inside. I tried the breakfast they were descent its just that the boiled eggs has a different taste seems like it must have been cooked for few days. The price was reasonable but not coming back.

I'll start with the good ... clean, great staff, comfy bed, lovely pool area.
Now the not so good, the paper thin walls made sleeping almost impossible. The noise coming from other rooms was unacceptable and kept us up almost all night! You could hear people just walking around, and I mean every single step, and ANY other noise, like someone dropping something was like a huge bang. The bed frames are made of tin so if you accidentally hit it with your foot, it was crazy loud. We did complain the first day and the children who were next door DID quiet down but if you are on the bottom of the 2 story part of the building, be prepared for excessive noise!

The staff was helpful and welcoming. The room was clean. It was about a twenty minute walk to clifton hills or the falls. There is parking on site and I did feel my vehicle was safe. There weren't washcloths, an iron or hair dryer, so be mindful of that if you plan to stay here. Esthetically the room wasn't the best. Also, I could hear the visitors above me. These things weren't a huge deterant for me, but I want to give a review in case they are huge for someone else. Overall, it was a decent stay and I would come back. The price was decent in comparison to others in the area.

At first glance, the rooms appeared clean, but a closer inspection revealed stains on both the sheets and towels.

I had to call the front desk to request additional towels because only one towel was provided in one room and two in the other, despite booking two rooms for a total of eight guests. No toiletries were provided, so we had to purchase our own.
Internet connection is very poor, keeps on buffering. The key card in the room was not working, needs to come back to the office which is a bit of a walk.

The so-called continental breakfast was extremely disappointing. The food presentation and handling did not seem hygienic, with tea bags left uncovered in an open cup. Breakfast options were very limited, consisting only of toast, yogurt, and coffee.

To make matters worse, the staff were unwelcoming and unfriendly throughout our stay.

Overall, the hotel is significantly overpriced for the level of service and amenities offered. I would not recommend staying here, as the experience did not justify the cost.

You get free breakfast but there is not much available. I had to wait on coffee, which I did not. I decided to walk to Timmys down the street. 4 minute walk. You get what you pay for. Clean rooms, close to OLG Stage (5min walk). Inexpensive parking. I would go back knowing I can sleep in a clean bed after a concert and then go home in the morning. The family room is cozy. 2 rooms, 3 beds.

Owner (indian guy) was nasty. We checked in early & paid for parking $60. He told me if we book directly by motel our parking must been free. Since we booked through third party they took $40 there fee. Room has ants in it all over the floor. Last day he argued with me about breakfast I was taking in Room for my family when they first day he told me I can take it in Room. Telling me we are 4 adults and 2 kids and I should be mindful of others. He was the cheapest guy I ever seen in a motel. He doesnt know how to spoke to guest. I been to hotel/motel i never seen that cheap person. Then his employer was not telling me his name. I made the video of the room. He was a racist person. When there were other people taking breakfast in room he pinpoint me. I will never recommend anyone that motel. In breakfast they had juice, breads, frozen waffles, cereal, coffee, banana and yogurt. I have pictures of food I took in room which he had problems with. When I checked out her staff told me I paid for hotel 2 days and we took breakfast 3 days when we check in early he could have told breakfast not included today he were there and he didnt said a word he said we can take it in Room. Overall I will give this motel 3 out of 10.

Overall wasn’t very clean the sheets were stained, we had to go out and purchase our own bedding because we didn’t trust the pillow cases or the top blanket which still has huge brown and black stains on it, lack of toiletry items, towels and face towels were stained as well. Random scuffs on the wall and looked like bodily fluids that just was unpleasant and uncomfortable.. Shower curtain kept falling down mid shower, The faucet tap literally came off when going to use it for the first time.. literally came right off.. The microwave had no glass dish in it.. Under the bed was full of dirt and other peoples past stays.. Too put the cherry on top Im a young female first time travelling and at 4am someone was knocking on my door, Thankfully my boyfriend came on my trip last minute because he was able too and wanted to make sure I was safe! He opened the door and it was a person that clearly was on some major substances asking if we had anything on us… Like.. 4am! Knocking, random area new environment! Im totally creeped out.. We complain and the next morning they only gave 140$ out of the 300 I pretty much paid and told me that’s all they could do.. never again at least it’s not for someone who it trying to have a nice stay and it’s definitely not worth 300$ they should at least have it cheaper if it’s not going too be the way they advertise it online..

You “Don’t Get” What You Pay For

Although the room was cheap ($80 for the night, $100 inc fees), the price I would find more reasonable for a place like this would be $50 inc. fees and taxes.

Positives:

Walking distance to casino / restaurants
Room was clean

Negatives:

Tiny room with no storage (no closet or drawers)
Thin walls (heard the neighbors talking at 2:30 AM)
Thin sheets and comforter, everything was outdated / old
Bathroom sink handle would come off when you turn the sink on
Breakfast was a joke. It said they had pancakes. When I walked into the chaotic small lobby, they had a little table set up with coffee, juice, frozen waffles (that you heat up yourself), bread to be toasted and mini muffins. Juice was spilled all over the counter. I grabbed a mini muffin and got the hell out of there.
Took 10 + minutes for the shower to heat up.
The shampoo they provided was in little ketchup packets. Said “conditioning shampoo”, no separate conditioner packets. I had a hard time brushing my hair.
One bedside lamp didn’t work.
I had to fill out a form with all my information when I arrived. I’ve never had to do that at check-in before and it was annoying after a long trip.

To be clear, we did not ultimately stay at the property. We had booked one night because our son was scheduled to participate in basketball games in Welland. Unfortunately, due to severe weather conditions and a snowstorm, the games were cancelled, and we were unable to proceed with our stay.

My family went in person to explain the situation. We werent even refunded half of what we paid. While I understand and respect business policies and as someone with business experience, I would be understanding if the lodge were fully booked and facing a genuine loss, this was not the case. The property was not fully booked. Had we been refunded even 50% we would have been satisfied.

We did not use any amenities whatsoever: no electricity, no water, no continental breakfast, and no room services of any kind. This resulted in a cost saving for the property, yet less than half of the amount paid was returned.

We have additional basketball tournaments scheduled in the future; however, based on this experience, I would not choose to book this property again.

For transparency, I did not personally see the room. My husband did, and he indicated that it appeared acceptable.

In business, policies are important, but so is discretion. At times, prioritizing empathy and customer goodwill over rigid policy can make the difference between retaining customers and losing them permanently.
