About Econo Lodge By the Falls
This cosy hotel is ideally situated 600 metres from the famous Niagara Falls and 350 metres from Clifton Hill. The popular Skylon Tower is a 12-minute walk from this hotel while Queen Victoria Park is a 5-minute drive away.
The 57 classically furnished guestrooms are equipped with cable TV and guests are provided with telephones offering free local calls. An outdoor swimming pool is available during the summer and a sun terrace with loungers and parasols are laid out for those who wish to work on their tan.

The hotel was good for the night as long as you remember that it's a budget hotel and will not have all the amenities the more expensive hotels have. The pool was good, nice and warm. The rooms and overall hotel were clean and but dated. Air conditioning in the room worked very well. Had to lower it throughout the night because the kids were "freezing". For the price you're paying, it was exactly what we needed. They did charge us $10 for parking because we arrived before 3 pm. Overall, would recommend this hotel.

On the first day, I was too exhausted to notice much around me. But on the second day, when I pulled back the blanket, I found a massive yellow stain that looked like urine. It was absolutely disgusting.
After talking to the front desk, they refused to refund the remaining days. They only changed the blanket twice, but even the second replacement still had yellow urine-like stains on it.
At that point, we just gave up on using blankets altogether and spent the last two nights with only a bedsheet. As a result, we caught a terrible cold.
This ruined our Niagara trip, and we couldn't wait for our stay to end so we could finally leave.

The only thing that was awkward was tge size of the shower. It was pretty small for my size and there was no fridge/microwave however you could get ice at the front desk. It is a budget hotel for sure. It was very irritating to have driven over 3 hours to arrive and be denied check-in because check-in is EXACTLY at 3pm. We also had a change in plans and brought an extra guest with us and got charged an additional fee for the extra guest. I booked a two queen room, up to 4 guests should be permitted for the standard rate of the room! Overall, the room served its purpose, it is close to all the attractions of Niagra Falls.

It was inconvenient that we had to go to the office to get ice. The heated pool was very cold also. It was a very convenient location. I also wish we had known there is no elevator.

The carpet of the room need shampooing and insects were found inside the room. The entrance of the property was difficult to find. I had driven along Victoria Avenue several times but still I could not find it. Finally I had to call them to get the direction to the entrance.

We had no major issues. Clean, AC worked and staff were great. The wifi was basically non-existent and I couldn’t get a cell signal hence the ding on the facility. We could walkout to the falls easily. Is this the Ritz? Not even close however it is an affordable and well maintained option for those who just need a place to sleep.

The rooms are clean however the hotel is older dated but well kept very conveniently located. We are right across the road from the speedway on Clifton Hill very easy to walk to wherever we wanted to go even down to the Falls was not more than a 10 minute walk 15 at best this is the fourth time we stayed in this hotel and I’m sure we will be back again.

It’s nothing fancy or extravagant but the room was clean, staff was extremely friendly and helpful. It was within walking distance of almost every thing we had planned to see. Would definitely stay here again if we ever go back to Niagra.

We thought we’d try this place for its location to the local attractions (Clifton Hill, walking distance to the falls etc..). As parking at the attractions is very costly this was a great option. It’s by no means a luxury stay but the rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The desk is staffed around the clock if you need help and they are very generous with bags of ice if requested.
The room was surprisingly quiet considering the hotel being located right on Clifton. Surprising bonus for an economy stay is the pool. With an actual deep end no less. Pool and its area is well maintained and at a good temp. We will be returning to this location in our future visits.

The location is excellent, just 10 mins walk from Cruise point, a lot of restaurants and souvenir shops around. Just across the road of the all the fun activities. It is an old construction though, and did not have a fridge, but they do have provision for ice. If this is something that doesn’t matter to you, would totally recommend. The staff, Rahul, was very helpful and welcoming.

We booked from Thur to Sun. We checked in thur night and asked for DND. We came in late fri and went straight to sleep. When we woke on sat, patio door was smashed. We called reception and were told there was a crack in the patio door. When they came up they said it was our fault and had to pay a large sum right now or they would call police. The cleaner said it wasn’t like that yesterday but we requested DND so they shouldn’t have been there at all Friday so how do they know the condition as of Friday? They made us leave immediately and did not refund for the night we didn’t stay. We were fully cooperative, we told them about it and they still threatened to call police. The crack that was there made it fragile and they made us pay for the damage.

For the price, and to stay at Clifton Hill, the hotel was was great. Free parking was definitely a plus. I liked the connecting room feature and the 2 sinks as well. Staff was very friendly. However, the rooms are outdated, the bed linen, the fixtures. It looks straight out of the 1980s. No microwave or refrigerator in the room and they give out bags of ice at the front desk. The inside heated pool was nice but the water level was really low during our 1 night stay. All in all, if you're looking for a very short stay right at Clifton Hill, this is the place. I think its a step up from a motel.

We stayed the night it was ok but it was first time weve been into this place and we noticed that they dont have microwave we had to ask the receptionist if we can warm my sons food very inconvinient and also there is no plug closer to bed to charge your phone.

The hotel was very disappointing. The room carpets were dirty and smelled bad, making it difficult to walk in. The carpets were stained and looked neglected, and the overall atmosphere was unsafe and frightening. I felt uneasy rather than relaxed throughout my stay. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a clean and safe place to stay.
