The location of Sheraton Fallsview Hotel is excellent, especially if you want to be close to Clifton Hill. However, the overall experience was quite inconvenient.

Parking is a major issue. Valet parking requires a lot of waiting whenever you need your car, and self-parking has very limited availability—especially on weekends. You need a lot of patience either way.

We also had trouble with our room key. It stopped working at 10:30 a.m., even though checkout is at 11:00 a.m. We had to go down to the lobby to reactivate it, which was frustrating due to long elevator wait times (over 2 minutes each trip). The first attempt didn’t even work, and the whole process took more than 35 minutes—just to get back into the room, grab our belongings, and check out.

Overall, the experience left a negative impression. The only real advantage is the location. There are many better hotel options around Clifton Hill. If being right next to Clifton Hill is not essential for you, you can find much better hotels at lower prices.

Everything was good except the cleaning staff came into our room without knocking (or knocked too quietly for us to hear) before 10am when checkout is not until 11am to ask when we will be leaving. My 10 year old niece was in the middle of getting changed and this was very inappropriate.

Stayed here recently and unfortunately the experience didn’t match expectations.

We arrived late around 3am and were given two rooms… one directly beside the elevator with constant noise, and the other had a toilet making loud sounds throughout the night. Between the two rooms, neither of us were able to get proper sleep.

We raised the issue with the hotel in the morning and were advised to contact Expedia, which didn’t feel like much ownership on the hotel’s side.

The location is great and the property itself has potential, but room quality and noise control need serious attention. After a long day of travel, a good night’s sleep is the bare minimum… and unfortunately that wasn’t the case here.

Rooms were updated and clean. Parking is minimum $50 down the street in a parkade so be aware and add that to your grand total as it makes a huge difference price wise. We were woken up by people talking and running down the hallways early in the morning, and cleaning staff, regardless of check out being at 11am which was pretty disappointing as we got in very late and really wanted to sleep in.

We enjoyed our stay. Our room was lovely and they accommodated our request for room location and extra pillows. The staff throughout were really nice and accommodating, especially when we had checked out and I had to go back to the room when I realized I had left something behind. The cookies at check in are a nice touch as is the option to do mobile check in. Although that needs be more visible. We had added on breakfast to our stay which we wouldn’t do again. It was below what we thought the standards of this hotel should be. Our first breakfast - items where cold and the quality just wasn’t there. We’ve had better breakfast included at lower end hotels. Our second breakfast was slightly better but not much. Do the price, I expect way better and more options.

I’ll start by saying: Edna the Egg lady and the view was worth all the troubles!

We only had 36 hours to visit and we spent 3 of those being locked out of our room due to the keypads battery died. I get it, but they kept having us go back and forth downstairs to get it rekeyed the first few times before they finally had the security guard let us in. The next day we spent another 2 hours until the maintenance man was called to fix it!

Plus The elevators are a nightmare!!

By the way: Loved the fireplace and jacuzzi!!

This is our third time visiting this area, though it is our first time staying at this Sheraton hotel. Room is clean,The breakfast service was excellent; however, the pool closed as early as 9:00 PM. The parking service, on the other hand, was very poor. Since I had a significant amount of luggage, I drove my car up after checking out to load the suitcases; the staff member proceeded to shout at me, my wife, and our two young children, which left me with a very negative impression.

The hotel is undoubtedly high-end, but the staff is terrible. They hide many details only to charge you for them at the end. It doesn’t matter if you pay in advance—upon arrival, they will try to recalculate everything.

When we arrived, one of the two rooms wasn’t ready, so we had to wait nearly 45 minutes. Even then, they relocated us, placing our rooms apart with another room in between, despite having booked them together to keep our family close.

For comfort and the view, I would recommend it—but when it comes to the staff and how they treat guests, it’s honestly a nightmare. Also, no matter how much you adjust the thermostat, the heating is set very high. It was so hot at night that we had to open the balcony.

There are far better options throughout Niagara. Not everything that glitters is gold—appearances can be deceiving.

HVAC did not work. Woke up sweating. When someone above us flushed a toilet, it sounded like a construction crew was jackhammering in the walls for about 20 seconds all throughout the night. Staff would not compensate us for failing to deliver the one service you'd expect from a hotel, a decent night's sleep. For the price we paid, we were very disappointed.

We stayed for 2 nights in a garden view room on the 7th floor. The view was gorgeous and I feel we got the best of water, garden and city views. With Clifton hill right below, everything was walking distance and so convenient.

The room was clean and comfortable and they provided a nice crib for our baby. The water pressure was strong and the bathroom had ample countertop space. Only thing was the washroom vent started to leak heavily on top of the toilet and even caused a water bubble in the ceiling. Maintenance came but said it was normal from AC drainage…and they didn’t do anything. Another issue was front desk and housekeeping were impossible to reach by phone. Otherwise, everything else was perfect for a quick weekend getaway

I had a very disappointing experience at Sheraton Fallsview Hotel.

We were initially assigned a room on the 3rd floor, and despite requesting a higher floor, both the reception staff and manager were quite reluctant and insisted that nothing else was available. However, upon entering the room, we were shocked to find that it had not been properly cleaned. Even worse, the fridge still contained food left behind by a previous guest — completely unacceptable for a property of this standard.

After raising the issue with housekeeping, we were suddenly “upgraded” to the same category of room but on a higher floor — which clearly contradicted what the front desk manager had told us earlier about availability.

To make matters worse, there was no air conditioning in the room. We were informed that due to the building’s system, it operates on either heating or cooling depending on the season, and since it was spring, the AC had not yet been turned on. Instead, we were given a fan for the night.

It’s hard to justify paying premium rates for a supposed 4-star hotel that lacks basic cleanliness, proper climate control, and courteous customer service. Overall, a very frustrating and disappointing stay.

The hotel (of which weve stayed at 10+ times) suited our needs but the room this time had paper thin walls and we got NO sleep. We were on floor 2 american fallsview. Things like street sweeppers and parties at bars below were making so much noise we could hear all night. People yelling in the halls coming back to the hotel and going to and from the gym all night was so incredibly loud. To add to that we could actually hear the treadmill and weights in the gym (on the same floor across the hall!)

If we stay here again we would have to ensure a higher floor room to hopefully help as we didnt have this issue previously.

I was not happy at this hotel, I made a reservation for 5 people and they gave me a room with only 2 beds and said that 3 people had to sleep on a bed because they didn’t provide a pullout couch. Super uncomfortable. Then our reservation said that it included passes for the water park and they said no that it was separate and we had to pay for admission to the park. The reservation said that it included breakfast, nope, we had to pay for breakfast. Then they put us in a room next to an elevator and we couldn’t sleep at night with the noise from the elevator. They put 4 towels in our room knowing there were 5 of us and they only came to clean our room once during our 4 day stay. Not happy.

Rooms are clean, paid extra for the view but it was amazing definitely worth it. The staff was very nice and helpful. The only downside is that they take forever to clean the room. Some days it would be 3pm and they hadn’t gone by to change anything. On one occasion they came to change the towels but left the beds messy. That aside the location is very convenient, everything is near by. They also have a lot of options in the actual building (Starbucks, shops, etc).
