Room was very clean, although dated. Looks like they are updating, however, our room was not. The bathroom was very dated, but spotless. Also, the bathroom door was (perhaps) off-hinge and couldn't be closed. Well.. if you forced it, you might get it completely stuck. So, the 3 of us agreed to enter only if the door is completely ajar.

Positives: pool/hot tubs. Ambience. Hotel location. Lots of nearby restaurants and very close to the Falls. We got a room in the 'courtyard' for the vibes. I loved the concept of it. Lots of greenery, and availability of seating and pool towels. They have a small bar going as well as TVs for sports, a kiddie play area and mini putt. If you like quietness or are a late riser, or sensitive to smell (chlorine), the courtyard rooms are not for you.

We traveled with 3 kids ages 15, 4 and 2, a lot of fun was had by all of them, and us adults. We didnt use the small arcade at all. But every morning we swam, then got cleaned up and dressed and played in the play area and mini putt, and went about our day. It was great and we also loved the attached restaurant.

Good place for kids to burn off energy, staff are friendly, neat place for kids, but the rooms are a little damp and noisy by the courtyard. Some leftover shampoo stains from the previous guest still on the tub when we arrived and crumbs in the chairs.

The room was clean and well maintained as was the hotel. The staff are also very nice. My only complaint is with the pool area.The pool and hot tubs are a great feature but are very heavily used. The area could use more frequent cleaning as people tend to hang out poolside all day so there was a lot of discarded towels and garbage laying about--empty drink and beer cans, hair ties, etc... There was also a lot of water on the pool deck making it very slippery. This should be squeegeed more often. The area is a bit far from Clifton Hill so I thought that the parking was a bit expensive given we had to drive and park down by the action, so ended up paying for parking twice each day. If being close to Clifton is important to you, I would suggest a hotel with better walkability. Other than that we had a great time.

We had a wonderful stay at the CairnCroft Best Western. The bed was huge and so comfy. We were on the 5th floor in the tower, away from the pool. It was quiet and clean. We enjoyed dinner the first night watching the Olympics on the huge screen in the sports lounge. Food was delicious! We stay for a weekend every year for our annual curling bonspiel in Niagara!

The check in was easy the room was nice. It had a Jacuzzi tub. We were given two free drinks because we were celebrating my wife’s birthday. The only negative was a text from best Western at 8:03 in the morning waking us up asking how our stay was. Please reach out to best Western and ask them to stop this practice or at least wait until checkout time

The room was spacious and clean. The staff were friendly. I’m a local who wanted a quiet solo night away to sit by the pool and read. It was a Sunday night so I figured it would be quiet. The pool was full of kids and only one of two hot tubs were full so I just went back to my room. Was going to try again in the morning but the pool didn’t open until 9 and I had to leave for work. I will do more research next time- this is of no fault to the hotel. Just sharing in case a like minded person wants a quiet staycation.

It was okay. Price reflects quality. Cleanliness was middle of the road. Had to switch rooms, first room was fully outside was freezing even with heat blasting and found a few bugs. Second room was clean and half inside. Pool was loud until around 1015ish. Parking is an extra charge

Our room wasn’t ready until 30 minutes after the guaranteed time but our parking cost way waived. A male staff member when above and beyond - letting me know where the water filling station was when he noticed me walking around with my canteen lid off. So nice!

This is the hotel if you have kids. Feels like you’re away somewhere warm. Atmosphere is great, lots for kids to do. Very convenient with McDonald’s next door, Gino’s pizza and Tim’s across the street. It’s about a 5 min car ride to Clifton Hill! We have stayed at many hotels in Niagara and this is our new favourite, we will be back! Staff are super friendly and rooms are clean!

Unfortunately for our family the hotel was overrun with kids being allowed to act as though this was their space while parents sat and socialized ib the courtyard couches. My chuldren were woken throughout the night with kids running soan the hallwats, we couldnt enjoy the pool because hoards of kids were making it dangerous for them by roughhousing and being obnoxious with no intervention from hotel staff. These tournaments while great for your hotel business make the experience for other guests awful. While waiting for breakfast parents sat in the restaurant and enjoyed their coffee as their children ran in and out one pushing my toddler down with parents offering zero intervention (yet a scowl when I said something the second time he shoved through). The fire alarm also went off, unsure if it was pulled in the fooling around or truly went off but made for a very chilly (and scary) end fo the night for my littles. Finally we got into our room (late as we got down to niagara around 630pm and went for dinner before being evacuated just as we were settling in). At which time ( with crying, meltdown and over tired kids ) I noticed the washroom was not very clean - several hairs left on the tile walls and the bathtub. The floors at the edge of the beds (just under) obviously hadn't been vacuumed as there were crumbs under as we moved the bed toward the wall for my daughter's safety when sleeping. We didnt bother to try to switch rooms because the kids were exhausted and just did

We had a great time. The initial room that I had booked in the courtyard unfortunately had no heat and so we were moved to a different part of the hotel that wasn’t in the courtyard. But we were happy that they were able to accommodate us so quickly. It was very busy with kids and parents and had a nice family vibe. I had requested a partial refund since we were moved to a different room that was not in the courtyard and it was honoured. I did have to connect with Expedia because they were the third-party bookers. And both businesses worked well together. Very grateful for that because we did pay extra to have access directly to the pool area in the playground.

No Balcony but room was comfortable and bed comfy. When we arrived at the hotel the staff asked us if we had been informed that the pool and hot tubs would not be in service while we were there. We were disappointed and disturbed by such a late notice. I asked for compensation as this was the major point of this hotel and they finally offered free parking. I do not know if all people got this unless they asked. I felt sorry for the grandparents who booked with their grandkids only to find there was nothing to do with the kids and so now where can they find a reasonable spot at this late time.

It felt like the property could have more staff observing and maintaining facilities. Not necessarily a bad thing, because it's nice not to have some militant person telling you about towels for pool area only; but on the same token, what happens when there are no towels or some kid vomits on the deck. Our whole stay it felt like pool was under heated. Not sure the scoop there as it wasn't like this on a previous visit.

The rooms seem to have the same attitude. The toilet in our room needed a new flushing mechanism and although replaced quickly, still was running every so once in a while. The heating in room worked erratically, one hour only blowing cooler air and another hot air hours later.

The staff that we did enncounter were friendly and helpful. They were one redeeming feature.

A little mistake on not giving is a courtyard first floor room that i had requested but had given us a second floor courtyard which did not work as i am handicapped and no elevator in just this one area of the hotel. The manager immediately gave us a great room and took off 50 dollars for the misunderstanding. Really great experience.

The room was cute, I didn't spring for the larger tub or anything. As someone who grew up in Niagara, I'm all too used to the \"tourist tax\", I just wish there was a way for us former locals to avoid it. The staff were FANTASTIC, the front desk was great, the pub & its food were wonderful, & despite us sleeping in, housekeeping did an amazing job. The only reason for 4 vs 5 stars is I found it odd how the hotel couldn't accept anything but a credit card. In this day & age, debit should be accepted to pay. I get a credit card hold for incidentals, as virtually all hotels require, but the fact you can't pay via debit felt \"fishy\". Otherwise, would definitely recommend staying here.

The room was fantastic. Staff were friendly and very happy to help. Fitness factilies were in great condition, and the general atmostphere was very pleasant. I'm sure I'll be back at some point.

My one concern is that the mini-fridge was not cold whatsoever. Not a deal-breaker by any means, but it would be nice to be able to store perishables in there. Wifi was passable. An Ethernet port would've amazing; one day perhaps.

The building is conveniently located right next to a major grocery store, so it's very convenient for the budget conscious. Plenty of fast food places surrounding it too, in addition to the in-house restaurant and live events hosted there.

The fireplace in my room was the cherry on top. I wish I could've stayed longer.

Didn’t clean the room two days in our room included dirty towels didn’t replace new one for next day. Lady came very late afternoon to clean room but someone took nap. In bathroom. The heater is too close to toilet it feels burns on leg. So use towel to cover leg. Staff are nice and easy talk to. Not expect about parking fee. Tub and pool are nice comfortable temperatures. But too many young kids in hot tub. It should be adult only for their relax time.
