Very nice rooms , extremely comfortable beds . Amazing shower !! Was so nice to relax in . However , we did find a VERY large amount of small toys behind the pull out couch and under the curtains from a previous guest . I read the listing wrong and thought there was a breakfast included - there is not , but , there is a Denny’s attached ! Overall, We had a great stay and really enjoyed ourselves .

Honestly I would have given this place a positive review but at 3:30am our fire alarm was beeping due to low battery, I called the front desk. The man working was completely unequipped to handle the situation, he had no idea how to change the battery and when he figured it out he had the wrong ones. He then left with the fire and when he didn’t return I went to the front desk to see what was happening. He said he didn’t have the proper battery. I asked who I could contact as I wasn’t happy that not only is this a required fire safe maintenance but that they had no way of preparing if the batteries did die. He gave me a card for his manager who I have left voicemails for but no one ever returned my call. Definitely not worth what I paid for the night when I hardly slept!

Room was lovely and spacious. Was in an accessible room, and bathroom was super overall, but the shower floor divider was not effective in keeping the water in the shower drain area. So after a shower it was a small lake and very slippy in the main bathroom and I used several towels to mop up. Otherwise the amenities were lovely, including a makeup mirror in the bathroom, small fridge with a freezer tray, coffee maker and supplies, and tv that was not complicated. Lighting and privacy curtains were effective. Enjoyed my stay and the rooms were quiet.

The Sandman have great amenities including Moxies for dinner. This restaurant was connected to the hotel. It had a great variety of meal options including seafood and steak choices. The wait staff were very helpful and friendly.

Sandman hotel is just south of Burlington skyway bridge. It is a clean and well maintained hotel. There's a walmart nearby and and Denny's & Moxies restaurants on the property. Good hotel to stay at if you are staying in Hamilton and need to get on the highway fast.

Check in was good and staff seemed friendly. The room wasn't to the standard of cleanliness I normally encounter. The door in the bathroom around the handle was disgusting. It was literally black with many people having touched that area. I don't know how cleaning staff couldn't see that. The shower was very difficult to actually turn on and work. At one point I thought I was going to rip the faucet off the wall because it wouldn't move. The second night we stayed until the morning was no hot water. I would expect better for the rate we paid.

We came in late and left early so didn't see much of the hotel, but the front desk staff member was kind and eager to offer all options to us. The hotel was very clean. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean. We would definitely stay here again!

Really close to the highway, but traffic noise was not an issue. Lots of amenities nearby including Denny's and Moxie's on site. Parking lot can fill up during busy seasons. Close to everything you come to the GTH areas. Secure and location seems safe.

The room was “ tired” cardboard was used to level furniture, the shower was very hard to use/regulate… etc…hinge on the toilet was broken… noisy all night. Would not recommend!

Room was clean but sofa bed was awful. Kids who never complain, complained they could not sleep on that mattress. Room key stopped working after a day and had to deal with that. No hot water for anyone to shower after a full day of soccer tournament. Also have never seen a smaller pool for a hotel that size. Pretty much the size of a hot tub that can only fit 6 people comfortably.

Keep in mind that part of this hotel is pet friendly, and in our case the staff didn't check in with us before placing us in a room with cat hair in the couch even though we have young kids with allergies. Once we asked for a new room they where very helpful in accommodating us but we where disappointed in the cleanliness and original placement.

We used the hotel as our base for a weekend seeing Niagara Falls (Friday), Toronto (Saturday), and Hamilton Botanical Gardens (Sunday). There is a close train stop so you do not have to drive your car into the city. We were very happy with the room. We were traveling with our 14 and 19 year olds.

My room has been renovated about a year ago. There were some small damage in the furniture and the walls, pretty typical stuff for a three star hotel. Although the gym was tiny, there was a stationary bicycle which I used to exercise. there are two restaurants located on the property,Denny’s and Moxie’s, But since my room had a microwave and a fridge, I was able to enjoy my meals in my room that I had brought from home. One of my granddaughters came to visit and she enjoyed the indoor pool. overall a good place to stay for a couple of nights. Lots of shops and restaurants around it, even a Home Depot and a Princess auto.

Conveniently off the highway, nice big rooms and recommend the kitchenette ones with extra living room if you have a longer stay. The pool and gym are tiny things but are there if you need em.

Do not be fooled by the promise of a \"continental breakfast\" here, it’s completely misleading. Instead of an actual breakfast, they just hand you a $10 coupon to the attached Denny’s, which doesn't even cover half the price of a standard meal. To make matters worse, the indoor pool and hot tub area were dirty and completely disgusting. On top of that, there was zero basic convenience. No access to water or ice machines on the floors.The room comfort was just as bad; the hot water took upwards of 10 minutes to finally turn on for a shower, and the sink hot water barely worked at all. The AC would turn off during the night as well. Definitely won't be staying here again.

Having lived in Alberta, the home of Sandman Hotels, we love these properties; stylish, well kept, inviting and friendly. We appreciate their excellence in every location — this one is close to the highway, great beach, water park, shopping and restaurants nearby, especially along the waterfront. Nice pool & hot tub, not huge, but lovely. Good value! An included breakfast would have been nice, but Denny’s is next door.
