a good place to stay
Wendy
This is a great option in a lovely area outside of Hamilton. The property was clean, the staff was lovely and the rooms were spacious. We especially loved the option of a suite with 2 king size beds. Highly recommend.
Anthony
Very friendly staff, clean rooms. I would definitely stay here again

Stayed here for one night with husband on route to a Provincial campground so we wouldn’t have to set up in the rain. Selected this hotel based on reviews, which we found were accurate. Very friendly, welcoming front desk. We rented a suite with small kitchenette, couch, fireplace, two person jacuzzi which was a pleasant surprise!! We felt like dining in room but there was no menu or signs saying room service was available. Phoned the resto and a friendly young lady rushed a menu to our room. We ordered two mains and deserts and two glasses of wine that arrived in just over 30 minutes, delivery was by the same young lady who delivered our menu. She was so sweet and friendly. Our meals were FANTASTIC!!!! 2nd floor has a free coffee / cappucino station which is a great bonus!!! Small gym, but well equipped enough for a workout and a very good dumbbell supply. We highly recommend this hotel - it was a pleasant surprise!
Joanne

We stayed for one night. The value for the room was very good. It was easy to get to. We appreciated the coffee bar on the 2nd floor in the morning. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean with plenty of towels in the bathroom.

This is a clean, well maintained and nicely themed hotel in a safe location in Hamilton. We had breakfast at the on-site restaurant, Baci. That was also nicely designed, clean and good food and service. Wishing we could book another day in June, but that date is fully booked:(.

Danielle
Our room was so lovely! King suite. The jacuzzi was faaabulous! Everyone was so lovely and friendly! Felt like a higher end hotel. Had the breakfast and that was also delish. Great value! The only sad thing was there’s no hottub, but if you have the jacuzzi you don’t need it !

We had an excellent experience at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and exactly what we needed for our stay.
What truly stood out was the exceptional customer service. We had an unexpected emergency during the night and didn’t return to the hotel until 5:00 AM. The front desk staff member was incredibly kind and understanding, and graciously allowed us a late checkout until 1:00 PM at no extra charge so we could get some much-needed rest.
That level of care and flexibility made a stressful situation much easier, and we’re very grateful. Highly recommend this hotel for both comfort and outstanding service.

The shower in the room was horribly cold

Amazing hotel with the best staff. We love to stay here when we are in the area. Beautifully appointed rooms, comfy beds and great for families. The price cannot be beat either!

I’ve stayed at Carmen’s a number of times. This time the room looked tired.

Clean spacious room! Great staff
Mercedes
Staff were extremely helpful and responsive. The room was clean, smelled nice and was stocked with things guests need. The beds were comfortable and clean. Will definitely recommend!

The staff are very pleasant and accommodating, and this very attractive hotel is also very quirky. We stayed in a boutique themed room, dedicated to Sylvester Stallone, and the Rocky movies. That’s not as crazy as it sounds, and everything about the hotel was pleasant and accommodating. .
Geoff
Great hotel with very pleasant staff. The swimming pool is a little smaller than we thought from the pictures though.
It's a great place to stay and we will again!

Room was beautiful and hotel , the two is for when we were checking in. I went to get luggage from
Car and when I went to go to my room others were walking into it. Went back down waited in line, they called the room to tell them of the mix up. I waited another 20 mins in lobby with my kids and luggage. When they finally settled everything I went back up and my keys didn’t work. So back to the lobby luggage

Lovely experience staying there. The staff was so friendly and helpful! A big welcoming smile goes along way! Our room was dated but it was clean and accommodated us and our 4 children which was why we specifically booked this hotel as many hotels request multiple rooms to be booked and that’s never really in the budget.
Kids loved the indoor swimming pool and LOVED the free cookies at the front desk. We would definitely stay there again. Thankyou!

The room was in very poor condition. It was not clean upon arrival there was food left in the fridge from a previous guest and two black socks beside the bed that were not mine. To make things worse, I woke up in the morning with an earbud stuck to my back that didn’t belong to me. The floor in front of the bathroom was sticky and dirty, to the point that I had to wash it myself. The couch was worn out and clearly past its prime. Overall, the cleanliness and upkeep of the room were unacceptable. After bringing it to the reception attention I was offered a late check out
Sean
Highly recommend this hotel. The staff was amazing, friendly, accommodating, helpful. I can't say enough good things. Everything was clean. Room was clean and we'll stocked. Very comfortable.

Room was clean . Jacuzzi tub had sign on it, out of order. Halls seem a little worn, dated. Ample parking, pool looked lovely.

Very clean hotel. High class. Very comfortable rooms and comfortable beds. Tons of parking even with events going on. Was perfect for a one night stay.

All good

The room was incredibly large, clean and amenities were excellent. Staff were very friendly at check in and out. It should be noted that while credit card is the preferred method of payment, they will accept debit/cash.

Everything was great!!
There were a couple weddings one night, so it was pretty loud.

The room was clean and beautiful, however, unfortunately, we had trouble with the door not unlocking properly so we had to move to a different room. Theresa did an amazing job getting us relocated and giving us a complementary breakfast for the inconvenience. We still had a wonderful evening and were very comfortable during our stay.
Sean
Breakfast is not included as advertised; however, the restaurant attached to the hotel serves excellent food.\"
Marcela
Friendly and helpful staff

We visited Hamilton for our close friend's vow renewal at the Carmen Centre. So we stayed a night. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet so we had a good night rest. Would definitely recommend.
Debra
We did not eat at the hotel but I understand the food is great!
Everything was wonderful except for the parking. We arrived late and there was not a parking spot to be found other than across the street in overflow parking.

Stayed 1 night for a wedding. Room was spacious but wasn’t worth the $280 for 1 night
Went to Baci for Breakfast ( Their restaurant)
Server didn’t know if there was caraway in the rye and didn’t offer to find out but said there was no seeds in it. When the toast arrived it very clearly had caraway in it.
Eggs were very over cooked, bacon sausage were also over cooked and tasted like rubber.
My wife got an overcooked omelette
Overall a very poor experience all around
Room was $280
Breakfast was $50

Unfortunately we left prior to enjoying breakfast however our room was excellent and the venue for the rooftop wedding was outstanding.

My only frustration is getting breakfast is not easy - no one picking up the phone at the restaurant several times I stayed here - getting directed to coffee at 2nd floor in the morning when I wanted brewed urn to my room.
Front desk staff great - male staff in restaurant one morning was helpful - he was the only one.
Checking in and out easy.
Cookies at the counter a nice touch.

For the price disappointed--
Coffee maker didn't work.
Toilet paper roll kept falling off.
Hard to find parking because off wedding and 80 year old driver had to walk quite a ways.
No grab bar in shower.
Supper could have been better.
Bed high. Hard to get into.
Good .
Floors weren't sticky.
Nice shower but no fan.
Good mattress.
Clean.
Great shampoo etc.

Amazing room. Super clean. Comfortable bed. Large bathroom. Very well taken care of.

Clean room, however bathtub plug was broken so didn’t get to use the jacuzzi also some peeling paint in the shower- otherwise all staff interacted with was excellent, including housekeeping was very great in the morning queued an elevator for me without thinking twice- very great service. wish security deposit situation was more clear as I had to pay twice even though when I called ahead was told it would only be once (mostly my own fault had to book the nights individually as I wasn’t sure if I would be able to stay both nights when initially booking for the one night) however facilities are amazing, pool was nice , the latte and coffee machine was the bomb very nice variety. Overall would stay again!!
Claude
No utensils in kitchen. Even on third floor we could still hear music from wedding reception
Dominic
When I stayed. The room was clean at first sight, and thought the rest of the room as well. The lobby staff was nice. Was here for a wedding so the hall next door was also beautiful. If u want to have a wedding here I would do so for a good price.
Jennifer
Convenient to Mohawk 4 rink

Maleeha at the front desk was exceptional and took the time to outline the features of our room.

Beautiful hotel. Excellent staff.

I only stayed one night but I found the staff to be lovely and kind and my room was to my expectations.
Christian
Friendly staff, but far too expensive to stay the night for a wedding. Check-in is at 3, most weddings start shortly after… leaving you barely enough time to do anything in your room. So, you’re basically paying for a bed. And, the Monday was a holiday - so breakfast was limited and first come first serve. All in all, we should never have paid $250 for a parking lot view and apples for breakfast.

Only complaint is that the wedding reception that was just below my room, particularly the music, was loud.
estelita
The hotel is ok but i was a bit upset bec our room lock for no reason, i have to wait 30 minutes for them to open, missed some fun on the wedding held at the hotel.
The hotel dint informed us that there's a complimentary coffee on the 2nd floor. We

Rooms were themed which was cool. The overall cleanliness was solid as well but there wasn't much around the hotel. Nothing in walking distance. I industrial area.
Christopher
Rooms are huge, had a double king suite with a pull out and a kitchenette, really nice that 2nd king was in its own room to get some peace and quiet from the kids. Cool Hollywood themed hotel! Rooms were nice, clean, and looked new.
Dave
Great walk in shower and restaurant breakfast were excellent ! Piping hot !
Lillian
It was beautiful and well cared for. TV wouldn’t go off so finally unplugged. Did try through head desk first, but nothing they could do. I would recommend wide masking tape for over led lights if a light sleeper. Everything else was excellent!!
Eugene
Excellent value. Big rooms. Go with the jacuzzi room.
Nancy
Great stay and easy drive to the airport. Lots of dining options around. Great visual appeal - love the decorating.

It was clean and our room had the perfect setup. The beds were super comfortable. I had the best sleep! The staff was friendly and the front desk always had apples, oranges and cookies for snacks.

Overall this was our best hotel stay ever. Everyone was so lovely and the room was incredible. We can’t wait to be back!

Didn't like TV stations...No TV Guide. No free movies.
Other than that everything else was fine. Nice to not have to drive after a wedding.

Great place to stay.

The room was absolutely beautiful. The hotel was very appealing. The workers friendly. Only problem I had was in our bathroom. The toilet paper dispenser was out of reach when sitting in the toilet. The shower should have had a hand held sprayer.
Melody
The hotel itself and facilities are beautiful, the double king room was very spacious and accommodating. E also really appreciate the coffee machine which the kids also enjoyed as it provided hot chocolate.
The on site restaurant food was above average, no complaints, though service was a little lax.
Front desk was often vacant of staff which i found a little unprofessional, but the staff were still all pleasant.
My main complaint was the bedding smelled kind of sweaty which was off putting and I'm glad i brought my own pillow or i would not have been able to sleep like that.
On a final positive note my daughters enjoyed swimming in the pool.

We stayed 2 nights May 11 and 12th for my nephew’s wedding. The hotel was amazing, from staff to cleanliness, plenty of parking. The reception was at the hotel making it very convenient. We had drinks on the patio between the ceremony and the reception. Good was great. We had a 2 bedroom suite. Probably the nicest room I’ve ever stayed in. Highly recommend !
