Location is very easy to get to if you are arriving in Hamilton for your first time. Our plane arrived late and the front desk staff were so kind and helpful on our arrival.
Underground parking lot is spacious. Rooms are a good size and the bed was very comfortable.

comfortable room..nice breakfast included..towels could be a bit bigger...housekeeping staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Front desk staff were friendly. Room has required amenities - iron, board, blowdryer, shampoo etc.
Andrea
Check in was easy and quick. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good, fresh and enough options.
Only minor things with our stay was: air conditioner was very loud when it clicked in, was rattling. And we had a room at the front of the building this time, facing the street, at times could really hear the traffic and loud cars/trucks.

The cleanliness could be improved, and it's a bit noisy since it's right by the roadside.

Did it’s job
Rene
The room was very nice but the curtain was not functioning
Robert
The facility was nice, but there wasn’t much in the way of amenities. The continental breakfast was the same exact thing every morning, and the towels were very stiff and rough.
I’ve stayed in many hotels in Hamilton, I’m not sure if I will be staying here again

It was a brand new building so super clean very helpful concierge as we did not know the area, but there was shampoo in the conditioner bottle in the shower.. not a problem just made for a funny shower story as I had to waddle out and grab some from my bag.
Kenneth
Clean and comfortable rooms, with a decent (although certainly not gourmet) breakfast thrown in. close to everything (Highway, airport, downtown Hamilton). What's not to like?
Shelton
For a new hotel I was disappointed with our room
The towel rack was falling off the wall. The sheets had stains on them and the general cleanliness of the room was not up to scratch. The mirrors were smudged. It is a busy hotel and the turnover is great but a standard needs to be maintained. Do not rest on your laurels.
Keep it Clean for all of our sakes.

Clean, spacious room, good breakfast spread
Alana
I was pleasantly surprised how clean and well run this property was. I have zero complaints. Breakfast was great with everything replenished regularly. Parking was easy and the hotel was in decent proximity to the hospital where a family member was having surgery.
Jayne
The staff were fabulous.. the breakfast was great.. definitely recommend
Tracey
Great location with a comfortable room and a nice breakfast with many choices.
Kenneth
Very nice hotel, good beds, clean rooms, decent breakfast, and conveniently located--what more can one want from a hotel.
Kristie

Really enjoyed our stay. Only one night. Room clean and breakfast was really good
Jie
The room is clean, staff is very nice and polite. Just two power outlets are faulty.
Jameel
The front desk man was great! Very helpful and breakfast was great
Terri
My only complaint was the bathroom door didn’t seem to latch and the water pressure was a little disappointing.
Otherwise, this is a beautiful new hotel, 10 mins from TD Coliseum. The staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was great and there is tons of free parking, both below ground and above.

Our stay was lovely. Had an issue with the tv, but it was resolved.
Mario
The hotel is modern and new. Staff are excellent. There is however lots of construction dust from the basement carpark present in the ground floor. Probably needs a see clean.
Karen
Very clean.

Hotel staff pretended they have made up the bed. Once you lift the cover, you found bread crumbs and “toilet” paper! So gross! Also you found hairs on the washroom floor!
George
Breakfast was plentiful and with good variety.
Paul
Property was fine but service was lacking. No effort to service the room daily as only the towels were refreshed and garbage removed. No beds were made, no coffee replaced (used cups left by the coffee maker & coffee pods not replaced). A problem with widow blinds was reported but no action taken after 2 days waiting.

Breakfast was fresh and parking was good, safe

Clean and modern. Decent breakfast. Suggestions: glasses in the bathroom (there were only 2 coffee cups), and bring back the individual shampoos, lotions, bar soaps, etc
Heather
The property is fairly new and there weren’t a lot of other guests so it was very quiet. Breakfast, as always, was really good and plentiful. Providing small “to go” bags is a wonderful extra, we were able to take a muffin and coffee/tea for the drive home which was appreciated
The staff was extremely friendly and made our stay very pleasant
Thanks for a nice stay/break!

Room is clean, and staff are very nice and quick to respond to inquiries/service requests. Breakfast offered a good selection of pastries, some hot food items including scrambled eggs, both pork and turkey sausages, and potatoes. Other breakfast choices include cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt and beverages. Parking lot is well lit, but not gated. Security guards are on duty after-hours.

Clean room, spacious and nice. Breakfast was good, though the dinning area was a little small. Amenities were good. Parking was fine
Geoff
Very nice

AC/heat is a bit noisy, and waterflow in basin is weak

The hotel was very clean and the staff were very friendly. The food over in the restaurant in the Sheraton was very delicious. Basically across the street was Asia town with a whole bunch of Asian restaurants. It was lovely and if we’re back in Richmond Hill again, we will stay at that hotel.

It was in a great location. Lots of parking. Easy check in. Great hotel. We had a very eatly morning flight so didnt have a chance to check out the complimentsry breakfast so can comment on that. We only stayed 1 night for a concert but if i ever stay in Hamilton again I would definetly stay here.
Janet
Our room was one of the cleanest rooms we'd ever stayed in. A nice selection of soft pillows. Great room darkening blinds. And a very nice breakfast buffet
Sarah
This is a very nice hotel with lots of restaurants close by. The room was very nice and clean. However, small things like dirty elevator floors, loud traffic noise at night and very low pressure shower were things that took a star off for us. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was Very good.

Nice and new build hotel. Breakfast was great. Amenities were nice

We had a wonderful 2-night stay with our family at Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hamilton – Upper James. The location is very convenient, with everything you need nearby—gas stations, grocery stores, fast food, and restaurants. It’s also very close to Limeridge Mall and only a short drive to downtown Hamilton.
The hotel itself was clean and well maintained. The staff were courteous and welcoming, which made our stay even more pleasant. We also appreciated the quality of the linens and toiletries—small details that really added to our comfort.
Overall, it was a great experience for our family. We will definitely stay here again the next time we visit Hamilton.

Very comfortable and quiet room. My only suggestion would be to put a mirror in the corner of the garage entrance so you can see if someone is coming.
Gail
Miguel checked us in. He was super friendly and congratulated us on our grandkid's
hockey win. The room, 220, was very large with the most comfortable king bed and feather pillows. The included breakfast the next morning had lots of options

Great room and amenities and wonderful staff.

Room was immaculate. Only reason it's missing one star was the wifi was spotty, working sometime and other times not.
