The room was overlooking side street with lots of noise from rubbish trucks the window would not close properly very small room. We also got bit loads of bites on me and my son the beds were not changed 1st day but was after that. I think there were bed bugs? The gym was closed the swimming pool was very small and freezing? The location was good as were there for the Malaga Marathon.

Thank you so much for a seamless and comfortable stay. Rooms look exactly like the picture, staff are so friendly and walking distance to many restaurants/bars/nightlife. The staff were so accommodating even gave me a conference room so I could pray after checking out. Only comment is the pool is very small, but that's my preference, would definitely stay here again and recomend. Xx

Hotel is perfectly located with easy access to the old town. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Delicious breakfast buffet. Room is very nice and comfortable with a huge ensuite. Probably bigger than the main room. Nothing to complain about. It was my birthday and I received a bottle of cava as a courtesy.

Lovely stay in hotel, it’s very close to the old town in Malaga, approx 5 mins walk.
They have a lovely pool area on roof, it’s small so get there early for a sun lounger.
The beach is approx 25 mins walk away.

After check in i went to the room, and when I entered the room I switch on the lite beside my bed, when i pressed the bottom the light exploded which caused the all the rooms to have no power for 20 min.

I went to reception to inform them about the incident. I spoke to albaro who started accusing me of plugging an adapter that caused the Electrical short circuit, I tried to explain to him and tell him i did not plug anything i just Switch on the light, he did not listen and we were so tired and frustrated and I started raising my voice and he started shouting and he said go out of the hotel and he wanted to call the police . then we started talking and i told him that he is accusing me of things that did not happen and please send the technician to check . he said we don't have one now. we will send one in the Moring. and another night sift guy help in restoring the power, he even was not worried about my safety when i told him that my hand is paining. after words i asked him to come to the room and showed him how the light cover is lose, my eleven years daughter was scarred and ran away out of the the room and my wife was also scared that something will happen.

When the technician came in the morning to check, he opened the light cover and the wire inside was damaged (see Photos attached) he cut the wire where it was stripped and fixed it.
Other than that the Reception, HK and breakfast staff were amazing.

Did not eat at the hotel. The location is a taxi from the airport and walkable to shops and beach within 20 minutes. The largest dislike is the pool. The website picture makes it look bigger than it is. It is really only the size of a large hot tub. I specifically chose the hotel for the pool and we were unable to use it due to the size.

The hotel was fine for 3 nights, rooms clean but tired and small. Some staff in reception and roof top bar brusque not particularly friendly to guests, computer always seemed to say no to all requests. Roof top pool way too busy, hotel had no where to escape to. Hotel noisy lots of outside noise even at 5 in the morning. Not the best hotel I have ever stayed in.

Great location. Hotel layout and room were kind of odd. Tiny window overlooking rooftop bar/pool. Bar was nice but pool space was inadequate and over-crowded with the hot weather. Disappointed that we couldn’t utilize the pool. Didn’t spend much time in hotel but the bathroom could use an upgrade- drain backed up and smelled of sewage. Shower was too small to even turn around in! Bed was only moderately comfortable. Employees were all friendly and helpful.

Best choice! If driving and don’t want the hassle of driving inside the city center, hotel has parking options onsite behind the hotel and public garage right across the street. Bunk beds were great for kids. Hotel staff very helpful. Gym was decent. Would recommend and would stay again.

Location is right at the edge of old town.

If you are driving to the hotel, its perfect location. Finding parking in the area is a huge hassle. Hotel has a private parking behind the hotel. You can park for a fee. Getting to it can be tricky. The parking location is across the street from the hotel and it is not clearly marked. However, we found enough parking in it. I heard in peak season, it can be challenging to find a spot, so book your parking spot in advance.

You can walk to the other edge of old town in 10-15 minutes. The area immediately around the hotel is not super nice but location is very convenient. Its walkable and car friendly, I think its it would be hard to find this combination. Hotel interior is very nice and fresh. It has an beautiful roof top with a bar, pool and view of Malaga.

Room was modern and clean. Breakfast was good as well. Overall we had a lovely time staying at the hotel.

Beware, having insurance from expedia DOES NOT allow you to cancel a day early.
Salles charged 3 DAYS for what they call a 'NO SHOW', when Expedia sent them cancellation emails THE DAY BEFORE CHECK IN. Unreasonable, money grubbing.

Weekender In Malaga

Stayed with a friend for a girls weekend. Location was great within easy walking distance of old and new town and marina area. Has a lovely rooftop bar, cafe and pool area. Wouldn’t choose a hotel without that on a city break. Always nice to be back at the hotel for a relax on the roof terrace before changing to head out for an evening.

Not worth it. You’re paying basically for a nice lobby, the rooms have a moldy smell and the pool is tiny (the pictures are deceiving). We got this hotel because we wanted a pool and we could use it. It’s so small that with few people gets packed. Bottom line: This hotel is overrated and overpriced.

The property and room is nice and very spacious. Modern ammentities. The main Issue is parking and Staff. Service was terrible. I had front desk call me at Midnight. Alvuro phoned and was rude and aggressive. I was asked to move my paid self parked car at midnight. When i said I was sleeping and ask if i could move in Am- i was threatened. Immediately I was told if I did not move he would call the Police on me. I have never had such poor service in all of my years staying around the globe.

I have been staying at Salles Hotel for trips to Malaga for over 10 years. The location is excellent, as is the food. The staff are great. It has recently been renovated to a high standard. Some of the rooms are on the small side, but you won't want to spend time in them anyway, as Malaga has so much to offer. Great rooftop bar and small pool.

The hotel is in an excellent location, ten min walk from the airport train link. Also handy for the no 2 bus to the botanical gardens, definitely worth a visit! Largely good proximity to the old town, shops etc. Kelipe flamenco is also just a few minutes away. However, whilst the hotel reception and terrace staff are lovely, the rooms are unusual in that there’s an unusually big bathroom ( shower base takes the size of a bath) and wasted floor space. This leaves the bedroom space feeling a little claustrophobic. This was my fourth visit to Malaga but I would only stay here again outside of high season. The air con wasn’t efficient enough for my personal taste and so I had three rubbish sleeps. At 150 a night as a solo traveller, this isn’t acceptable. The technician checked it and said it was fine but the fan didn’t alter the strength much. I slept upside down to try and be on the side of the room where the air came in. I heard the AC Marriott has good air con though and that was one of my other options. Never mind! Didn’t try the brekky as love the local eateries. The roof terrace is gorgeous and relaxing. The pool is tiny and photos are deceptive. I got the last sun bed one morning around 1120 maybe as a single traveller as the other twenty were all taken. There’s no shade and it was stifling but it’s a nice addition to the hotel to relax but you can’t swim in the pool.

Our room 315 was spacious and comfortable with a very good bathroom. Kettle and a selection of tea and coffee provided but you will need to buy some milk which can be kept in the mini fridge. Breakfast was very nice with all the usual options. Gluten free muesli and a selection of GF bread/buns was available. Slight criticism would be that the cooked items were not particularly hot to start with and the plates were cold. The rooftop terrace is very pleasant and we enjoyed a lovely lunch. I would not recommend the coffee... All the staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful.

Overall I didn’t feel the value was there with this hotel. I read the reviews prior to booking which seemed quite favourable but I don’t agree with them.

The hotel itself is fine, the location is close enough to everything (within 10 mins walking) and it seemed to be refurbished.

Do not book just for the pool! We tried to go for a swim/lounge and it’s literally 15 chairs tops and a tiny little pool. There was no space to even sit by the pool, I think you would have to get there very early.

Our room was tiny, you could barely walk around the bed without tripping on our bags. It felt quite claustrophobic.

The cleanliness of the room also wasn’t great, there was long black hair all over our room, in the bed, in the shower, on the floor and a big wad of it in the toilet when we arrived. Other than that, it seemed clean.

Based on my experience, I would say you could do better for the price…

On a eu la chance de pouvoir récupérer la chambre vers 9h, arrivant d’un vol à 6h on a très apprecié.
On a été surclassés. Chambre confortable, salle de bains au top.
Le roof top en haut est super, avec un bar et une petite piscine.
Je vous recommande la vue au lever du soleil.
Petit déjeuner varié et très bon. Staff sympa
Le seul bémol est la venue d’un DJ sur le rooftop, sur la principe l’idée est sympa mais quand on veut dormir, ce n’est pas très plaisant.

Having visited this hotel many times over the years, the refurbishment of the Foyer /Reception was immediately noticeable owing to colour change. Bedrooms have also been refurbished in recent months. The overall standard is high and all the staff are lovely.

The hotel is close enough of the shops and port, but there are better hotels. I regret not knowing that the Marriot was in a much better location fir just a few more euros.
The staff was dry, the hotel is boring and not pretty at all, I’ll even say is depressing.
