We were disappointed with the condition of our room. The furnishings were very nice (and realizing it's an historic building) it just looked very tired, the walls, bathroom, etc. At least our room did. In addition there was an adjoining door to the room next door that didn't block the sound at all from that room. You could hear just about everything coming from there.
After coming back from diner we found ourselves locked out of the building as the coded keypad to the front door wasn't operating. Fortunately, there was a couple sitting on the front porch who ran around the back to let us in. The staff while very accommodating blamed the security company for the failure.
We were given a voucher for breakfast. 2 things, first, there wasn't enough seating capacity for everyone to to sit in the dining room. Second, while again the staff was very accommodating it just wasn't worth the $16.00 per person voucher.

My cousin and I stayed at the Guest House Mansion on our first trip to Natchez to tour the beautiful antebellum homes and enjoy a bed-and-breakfast experience. The location was fantastic—within walking distance of shops, restaurants, bars, and historic sites. We especially enjoyed the porch with its rocking chairs and cast-iron tables, where we could relax and enjoy the free entertainment of locals cruising by with music loud enough to hear, feel, and occasionally synchronize your heartbeat to.
The mansion has beautiful period furnishings, and the manager was friendly and professional. Unfortunately, the room seemed to be preserving more history than intended. A musty smell greeted us at the door, the carpet felt gritty and damp underfoot, and even the armoire had its own unique aroma. For perhaps the first time in my life, I was thankful I packed house shoes. Replacing the carpet with tile and area rugs would likely do wonders.
Breakfast was included, which was fortunate because my vacation budget and restaurant prices were having a disagreement. Unfortunately, most of the buffet had also decided to cool off before we arrived. Thank goodness for the scrambled eggs and grits. Overall, the property has charm, character, and a great location. Thus antebellum building is a gem. The checking staff was fantastic and perfect hospitality. The blur has plenty of neat nooks and crannies and a fantastic porch and good patio. The room was comfy, and did have a TV. Easy to get coffee, tea, water, and ice nearby. Lovely time sitting on the porch. Breakfast was fair, but not much better than you’d get at a comfort Inn with fewer selections.
The location is literally in the middle of town, which might be outstanding, depending on what’s happening, but there is traffic noise all night.

It’s a nice 1840 home. Rooms decorated with antiques and very homey. It’s old so some wear and tear is evident but it’s a beautiful home. Cookies greet you at check in and there is breakfast every morning. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate available 24/7. Everyone is very courteous. Denise was excellent at providing all the information one needs. Convenient to downtown shopping, food and historic district. Also close to the river walk and trails

There is lots of beautiful artwork to enjoy as well. It is very convenient to walking around downtown. This will be our go-to location for any future visits to Natchez.

The room was relatively clean but the carpet needs replacing. There is no telephone in the room, which seems very lacking. Most hotels now provide mini coffee makers but there was not one. Some hotels provide microwaves and mini refrigerators. I suppose it was our fault for not researching these things further. The breakfast was adequate. The restaurant was closed due to some issue with the gas.

The hotel could use a little attention hear and there but nothing terrible. The breakfasts were average at best and aren’t offered till 8am. Overall a nice experience though.

The stay at the Guest House Mansion has been very nice thus far, except they have no refrigerator in the rooms. I would have no problem with this except for the fact that my husband and I are both diabetics and we have to keep our insulin refrigerated. Also, there was no bartender in the bar. However, my biggest problem is with Travelocity. They have charged my credit card twice for two different amounts for the same stay. This is a BIG problem!

I stayed at this property years ago and had a better experience. Overall, the property seems run-down and tired. Our room was on the first floor, yet the front door to the house didn't have a working secure lock, so it didn't feel safe. The dust accumulated on the air conditioning vent was yucky. The bathroom had lights that were burned out, the shower didn't drain well, and the door stuck so badly that I literally thought I'd be stuck in the bathroom forever. It required a solid five minutes of pulling and yanking on the door to become unstuck, so the door remained mostly ajar during our stay, which wasn't great for privacy. Although I love the history of the property, I'm not sure I'd return.

I was greeted by the sweetest front desk staff member Princess. She thoroughly gave me a run down of important things I could embark on while staying at the Guest House Mansion. I must say I wasn't quite sure of what type of experience I would have. But it was nothing short of Amazing. Princess invited to dine in house with the discounted price for guest. I must brag the food was phenomenal. And that complimentary breakfast., OMG, left me speechless, it was perfect and delicious. To top it off My waitress Carlie was an Amazing server and host. She was knowledgeable of the food choices when ordering, which was hard decision-making because everything sounded so good. All I can say is love was in every bite, so hats off to the Chef. Carlie really made me feel at home with sweet caring service and hospitality. Needless to say, I had the most memorable experiences and believed to have found my new quick getaway. Thanks to the entire staff that made my my wonderful experience possible, so I'm naming the Guest House, NATCHEZ BEST KEPT Secret.

The historic nature of the building was nice. The breakfast was plain with restricted items. Eggs had to be scrambled only. Nothing cooked to order unless you paid an up charge. The window a/c was not sufficient. The bed had a lump in the center. The bathroom sink backed up every time. We arrived at 9:30 pm and hostess was upset that we did not answer her call to confirm check in because she was shift changing. We asked about our VIP status and were handed a bottle of white wine without asking our preference. Finally, we left behind two gift bags with Chef Regina’s tea towel and biscuit cutters, mementos from our cooking class. I called The Guest house at 6:15 pm on Sunday and was told they did not have our gift bags. The items weren’t expensive just a treasure memento with Chef Regina’s biscuit recipe on the tea towels. This was our second time staying at the Guest House. There will not be a third time.

I usually don’t do Expedia reviews, but I wanted to for this stay! The young lady at the check in desk was enthusiastic, quick, and seemed genuinely happy for us to be here. The room is very charming and comfortable. The bed was comfortable. We stayed in July, and the AC was comfortable. Haha!
I love that the rooms were arranged around the old house, not in a straight line like a typical hotel. There were charming little sitting areas and a cute outdoor courtyard.

When I arrived to the guest house, it was a great experience, being greeted by lobby staff as well as the ambience of the area was great. This property has loads of potential, but there are tons of maintenance issues that need to be addressed. It would highly benefit for a good top-to-bottom scrub and polish in both the rooms and public areas. For now, its a solid 3 star-ish experience.

A fun trip to a clean city
Originally built in 1840, some 20 years before the civil war. Very solid and updated electrical & plumbing. 4 post beds. No closet but a highly polished chiffarobe cabinet for hang up cloths. Breakfast was great as the canded yams were the best I have ever tasted.

The room was nice, but the bed sloped downward so much so that it was very noticeable We were astonished at how empty Natchez seemed, many vacant store fronts around the hotel. One of the best features of the hotel was the large wrap around porch, but little had been done to make it visually appealing. The two hanging baskets on the front porch did not contain flowers, but weeds. The large urns on the porch did not contain flowers, but just bunches of Spanish moss. The attached restaurant was very nice and the food was excellent. The staff was friendly, but they disappeared at night. We were told to call a number if we needed anything.
