The room was very clean in the bathroom was large, which is always nice. We had a supreme double room and appreciated having a larger area. It was also very quiet for being as close to the train and being in the city center. The breakfast buffet was very nice and I thought very reasonable in price. I loved that this is an old hotel but it has been very well maintained.

Glamorous Hotel in the Heart of the City…

This Old World Hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of shopping, the centre of town and the Old Fortress. The room was beautifully appointed with a decor that was both practical and wistful. It was nice to have the small balcony to sit out in the sunshine not on our floor ( mainly for smokers convenience, but we used it just the same) …a very lovely stay indeed.

Very nice hotel in need of renovation

Overall, we had a nice stay. The hotel is a typical German hotel with charm, pictures of celebrity guests on the wall. It’s definitely in need of renovation though - we wanted to unplug a lamp to plug in the TV, and the entire outlet came out. Being in the city center, it is quite loud and you hear lots of noise at night. We had a 2-bedroom suite, which was definitely nice given that we were traveling with our two small children. It would have been good to know beforehand though that there are about 20 stairs leading up to the room. That was a huge challenge with our luggage, stroller, etc. We somehow managed it. There is a parking garage about a 2-3 minute walk away for 12€ per day - call the hotel beforehand in order to reserve a parking spot. Service was excellent and the workers there were all very friendly. If we are in Würzburg again, we will definitely stay here again.

Parking near the parking garage is a little painful as the parking ramps are small.

Location was great but the street noise level was horrible. Air conditioning wasn’t working and we had to open a window, which was very uncomfortable. The last night hotel relocated us to a quieter room but still we had to open window for the night and it was noisy.

All in all it was ok. For the price I expected a little bit more . Was quite noisy and the bed had a huge dip in the middle. Probably time to change the mattresses. Breakfast was great and staff was friendly. Was the weekend so quite a few groups of questionable men loitering in front of the property. Parking was good.

Very nice boutique hotel in central Wurzburg. Parking is in a parkade 70 metres away but driving (carefully!) right up to the door on the sidewalk to drop off luggage was completely okay with everyone in this pedestrian preferred locale in the old town. Suite was huge with simple mini kitchen. (Small bar fridge and sink but nothing else. I will also mention the little coffeemaking set up was poor.) Nevertheless, wonderful location to visit the rebuilt Resident Palace, the Old Town sites, and the Christmas Market. Handicap accessibility inside the hotel is fair at best, if a consideration for the prospective guest.

Wonderful location! Loved the decorated Christmas tree in the reception area. The staff had a warm welcome for us when we arrived and assisted us in making dinner reservations. We enjoyed a complimentary glass of wine and a light snack before walking about the town in the early evening. There are nice little extras such as a lovely reception/sitting area in the main lobby with tea and coffee, sparkling water, and a great selection of little mints/pieces of candy. The room had a slight musty smell when we walked in but we opened the windows to get some fresh air. After taking a shower, there was quite a bit of water that leaked out due to the shower door not closing all the way. I reported it when we checked out and the staff was appreciative. The bed was a bit too firm for our taste but comfortable nonetheless. I would definitely stay here if I ever go to Wurzburg again.

We stayed here to do the Christmas markets with my family and stayed in the family room. The hotel is in a perfect location. I will say the family room is hard to get to and you have to climb steps. Wish I would’ve known that in Hotels.com had that in the description. That being said, the family room was large and accommodating. Our only issue is it was very loud outside at night. It would’ve been nice to have earplugs or maybe a sound machine. But for where we wanted to be, it was the perfect location! Breakfast was excellent, and the staff were extremely caring and good . We also really enjoyed the restaurant across the street the restaurant Julienspietal!

Staff is friendly enough and there is parking 2 blocks away. But the building is older and needs updating. Exhaust fan in bath and several of the lights did not work. Beds and bedding not the best. Outside bar scene is very noisy until we’ll after midnight.

This hotel was horrible to travel to. It was in a high traffic pedestrian area and very difficult to find somewhere to park and unload. This inside was not much better. It was dark going to our room. The plus is that it was in walking distance to the Christmas Market.

What a great location! Right in the center of everything, and only a block from the rail station. But the drawback is the noise from buses, trams, and lots of people right outside the window -- and also in the next room. This old hotel is in pretty good condition, the staff was excellent, but the walls are paper thin. We heard every word, cough, and TV sound from next door. Also, we slept rather poorly due to a not so great bed. But, location, location, location.

The staff was very nice, particularly the front desk staff. I was VERY impressed that they offered a welcome drink (glass of local wine), light snack (peanuts), and a large bottle of water included in the hotel price. Very rare these days.

Overall, wonderful location, clean, and had a bit of character - especially the lobby. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Definitely not a Marriott like I’m used to but the service was really good and the location was great. Very old building with an old tiny elevator. Still have actual keys for your door and no deadbolt inside the room to lock it so you have to use your key again. I know, very minor but it just takes a little more time than more modern places.

Historic hotel is great location needs some love

The safe in the room did not work and no one fixed it. The walls are paper thin and I was up to1:30 am listening to my neighbor talk loudly and listen to music. Called the desk and nothing was done to help me. The pillows on the bed were also uncomfortable and the room could use a refresh.

This was a five star class experience. The location, ambiance, room size + cleanliness were exceptional. The desk staff responses to our many questions were friendly and spot on as good advice goes. Once we found the hotel, because our navigation system wouldn’t just let us plug in the hotel name, we found it to be very nice and convenient. And other than being in Wurzburg on a Saturday night and having to listen to the folks partying until about 5:30am, our stay was wonderful. Oh, and the staff were really helpful too.

The hotel staff is very friendly/professional and the location is excellent. The bathroom is somewhat updated. However the rooms seem like they haven’t been updated since the 1980s and the garage situation is AWFUL. The garage is dark, very creepy, and complicated to enter and exit. It is scary at night. The garage employee, when he was there, was super grumpy, rude, and unhelpful. Overall, I wouldn’t return to this property unless they contracted with a different parking area and updated the rooms.

Central location, however with youths shouting outside between 2am-4am both nights (week nights), caused sleepless nights. All rooms overlook the busy intersection, however it was only the shouting that was a problem.\" Comfort Room\" was small, particularly the bathroom, with knees almost touching the wall in front when sitting on toilet. Room was clean, and bed comfortable. others have mentioned, the nearby carpark has tight spiral access, and small carparks. We were given 2 bottles of water on departure - a nice touch.

Glass of wine on arrival, charmed by the character of the hotel at first sight. Very comfortable room, hotel is situated right in the middle of town for exploring. Had to park at the Markt garage but 2 minute walk and safe underground so no worries there. Definitely recommend!

Stayed the one night at Hotel Wurzburger at the end of a five week holiday and stay was very enjoyable. Room was a good size, very clean and breakfast excellent. Staff were very friendly and helpful and I was provided a bottle of water as I went out to explore the city. Would definitely stay at Hotel Wurzburger again.

The hotel is just a few blocks from the train station. The town is small and this is centrally located. The room was large. The hotel was very well kept. We did not get the optional breakfast, we did not see many people using it though it looked good. You will not be disappointed by the hotel.

Excellent location in a venerable building

I stayed two nights at the end of March and had a great experience. The hotel is close to the Hauptbahnhof, but not too close, a 6-10 minute walk depending on your pace. It is close to all the main sites in Würzburg. The decor of the hotel is lovely and charming and the staff is incredibly friendly. The hotel is unmissable, painted in an Imperial Yellow, that jumps out on the block that it's on.
