Unfortunately, during our stay construction was happening right outside our room, this lead to an incredibly noisy morning, work started at 7:00 am. Also one end of the street was blocked off due to construction so we had to walk around the block to get to the front entrance of the hotel. The staff did not mention this or warn us or compensate us in any other way. The breakfast however was great and they were kind enough to store our luggage until we caught a train to our next city.

A very nice hotel located only a few minutes walk from the center of town. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good and definitely worth buying or adding on as an option when you book. Parking was easy and spacious. The hotel was very clean (apart from the shower head that had a lot of mineral build up which I cleaned off myself to improve the water pressure in the shower). Located right across the road from a school but we didn't experience any noise problems at all. It's centrally located in a safe area and withing easy walking distance to the main town square. Would we stay here again? Most definitely yes! A very nice hotel providing every amenity we needed.

Wurzburg wasnworth the stay. The hotel was a 15 minute walk from the train station and 15-20 into town. Clean, comfortable room. As an English speaker, the front desk person on duty wasn't able to answer my questions due to the language barrier. The staff person who helped with check-out was able to.

Quiet & lots of greenery

Located away from old town but near to Würzburg Residences. Lots of greenery in surroundings and scenic autumn foliage was plentiful. We purchase the Day ticket plus for family and we could use the tram & bus for unlimited service for Saturday & Sunday.

Basic hotel, convenient and comfortable

I guess at this price you have the choice of old & quirky or new & efficient. Dorint is in the 2nd category - no atmosphere, but everything works. No refrigeror though. Arriving at night it seems like it's in the middle of nowhere, but actually only 10-15 mins walk to train station / sights. Breakfast buffet was ok. Bar was busy at night

The hotel was easy walking distance from the historic centre. The rooms were perfect and clean and very quiet and a great shower. I didn't dine here so I can't comment on the food. The receptionist gave us clear instructions of the off site parking for our larger vehicle and a good recommendation for dinner. All great!

Everything was good but the confusion about parking -- when I checked in, I misunderstood the receptionist and thought parking was included into the price. At the check out, it turned out I had to pay 50Euro for two days, which was disappointing. (In the end, it turned out that the gate allowed exiting without the ticket :)

I have to change rooms because there was a holon one side of the wall where the AC unit supposed to be. Breakfast was not included on the price. It cost 25 dollars a day. There are other hotels around where the prices are better.

Comfortable, albeit in a semi-shut-down-due-to-corona kind of way.
I was there on a Sunday night, and there was nothing open - no bar, no amenities, it was just the room. I'd had a late appointment and I wanted a beer at 2215, and the receptionist said they weren't allowed to sell me a beer at 2215; I don't know if that is a general Bayern thing, a Sunday thing, or a Corona thing, or a combination of all three, but I was annoyed!
I'd stay there again sure, but it was just a little bit closed and so slightly difficult to rate fairly.

This was my 3rd or 4th stay at the property in the last 5 years, chosen becuase of the suitable location and proximity of the city center. The wifi connection was pooor this year, in the hotel lobby and in the rooms. Breakfast is great, staff very friendly and a small swimming-pool great for relaxation after work. Getting to the hotel car park is hazardous activity for mid-size or large car and requires great deal of patience unless one wants to add lines to already multicolored wall.

Dorint is a convenient, comfortable stay

The location is fantastic, in a fairly quiet are of the city, with easy access to sites and businesses. Close walk to the Rezidenz and easy access to the Main River. The service is fantastic, very courteous and attentive. Rooms are clean, though they could use a little attention (maintenance). We had three rooms of varying size and beds, and all were good. Parking is reasonable (for the area), and easy to access. Frankenstube restaurant in the lobby is a hidden gem. Very high quality service of excellent food!

No internet for most of the stay, at least 6 days out of the 9 day stay(from Tuesday through the following Monday, our departure day). We were put into a room in which people had smoked, complained, were switched to a room that was clean but downgraded from a comfort to a standard room. No attempt was made to upgrade us again to a comfort room. We were not reimbursed for the difference in the price of the room, nor for the lack of internet in the hotel. We asked for an accommodation in the price but were denied. Not all of the staff were friendly and this presented an issue sometimes. The bathtub was slippery and dangerous to get in and out of in the room and no bath mat was provided to reduce fall danger. The soap dispenser in the shower/tub area of the room was never refilled despite our request for this to be done. An overhead light in the bathroom flickered constantly and was never replaced. Between the lack of internet and the other smaller irritating issues, the stay was not as pleasant as it could have been. The hotel management is lacking in our opinion. The room was cold because of inclement weather, but the radiators could not be turned on. The facilities look good but the upkeep is lacking and management does not seem to care if the guests are disappointed. We have stayed at the Dorint/Novotel/Ascor Hotel in the past and always had a much better experience than this time. It is questionable if we will return as subpar experience.

They said that the property had a sauna and a swimming pool. You did not clarify that there were very restricted Time use of the sauna. They said it Close at 9 PM but they really close to 8:45 having down there to try to have a five minutes sauna. It seems there entire spa sauna area was very unsure used. Fantastic people were very and room cleaners were very current. They have dangerous bathrooms there I wouldn’t be surprised have hurt them selves!

Hotel is ~10 min walk from Market Square, Residenz, very convenient! Hotel is not as new as other Novotels we've been to but well kept & clean. It got underground parking but there's plenty of free parking in the surrounding streets. Staff is very helpful & professional. It got a spa and pool. But pool is very small and is NOT included in room rate; it's extra 25 euros for adults and 8 euros for kids; totally miss leading when it lists 'pool' on Expedia. Will stay here next time we're in Wurzburg but I won't be telling my kids to bring their swimsuits.

The location is pretty handy, and the facility was quite large, but the rooms on other areas (except lobby) are getting a little tired. The biggest negative was that the room they put us in had construction happening nearby and we were woken up at 7:30 AM by hammering. In my opinion a hotel should NEVER rent such a room, or if they do it should be with full disclosure and at a significant discount. After 20 minutes I called the desk who apologized and said they would send someone to stop the noise. After another 20 minutes the hammering was joined by power tools. I called the desk again and they again apologized and said they would take care of it and would call me back when they had resolution. After another half hour I finally went down to the desk because I had heard nothing (except continuing construction). They apologized and offered to move us to a different room. Later in the day we returned to the hotel and they had new keys waiting for us. We went to the room and noticed it did not have a king bed as we had booked, but instead two twin beds. I went back and they assigned us to yet a different room on the top floor. Guess what -- twin beds again. At that point I just gave up.

We were on the second story and had the smoke from the smoking section at the hotel enterance come in through the open window. The air conditioner worked poorly. Other than that our stay was great. Smoking is an issue everywhere in Germany.

Very comfortable hotel with wonderful staff

We had a very good time exploring Wuerzburg. The Novotel is an easy ten minute walk from the Train station and also an easy walk into the city centre. We visited the main attractions in the city as well as doing a day trip to Rothenburg Ob der Tauber. If you have time Rothenburg is a breathtakingly beautiful day place to see only a one hour train trip from Wuerzburg. We did a fair bit of walking around sightseeing so the pool, spa and sauna were awesome to use at the end of the day. The meals we had in the Novotel restaurant were delicious and the staff were wonderful throughout the hotel and restaurant. A must do in Wuerzburg is to have some Franconian wine outside on the Bridge over the River Main to enjoy first class wine in a beautiful spot.

Hotel's location is excellent (quiet street, but close walk to the city center) and staff was helpful during checking in and out, however the hotel itself is very uncomfortable. The rooms were spacious, as were the bathrooms, however the glass wall in the tub in one of the rooms was tiny and unless you pointed the shower-head at the wall, the floor of the bathroom was soaked. The cups in the other room were dusty and the toilet had a dark ring - feels like although it's been cleaned after last check-out, nobody had used the room in a while. The parking lot underneath the hotel was incredibly cramped.

Well appointed hotel within walking distance of downtown. Grocery store located within a 5 minute walk. 10 minutes from Hauptbanhoff. Pleasant, English speaking staff made us feel at home. Restaurant was reasonably priced and served a good selection of cuisine. Pool and fitness area appeared to be well maintained; however, exercise equipment was limited to an exercise bike and treadmill. Overall, a very enjoyable stay.

Nice place centrally located in quiet area

Stayed for one night with family of 4. Room was spacious enough and felt clean and comfortable. Opted to dine in the hotel, which was a very pleasant experience as there were plenty of choices on the menu that suited everyone in the (quite fussy) family. The chef made sure my wife's allergy to gluten was not a concern for any of the options she was interested in.

The hotel is located in a quiet area within walking distance of the old town. Having spent the day driving to Germany, I went for a jog around the block at 10 pm and felt completely safe (not something I can say for other cities).

The only downside I would mention is parking. There is underground parking, but we did not even attempt to leave our vehicle there as the entrance seemed far too narrow and designed for cars built in the 60s, not the wide ones built these days. However, we managed to leave our car near a park a few minutes from the hotel. As it was weekened, there was no parking fee.
