We had a 4 day stop over here ,just to relax. I knew there was some renovation work going on but not to much and not at weekends. There was loads (its a large extension project) and work carried on all through the weekend. Totally spoiled the garden views. The whole hotel is very dated ,tatty and my room clean wasnt great. The room felt slightly damp when we went in as if it has been un used for sometime. Also we had no rail in the wardrobe just 2 hooks ( i did report this to reception) which ment we had cloths laying around unable to hang up. The pool area is a little run down . No bar , no drinks at all. No staff most of the time. The pool was also completely shut on one of our days. Without any warning ( i just ignored the closed sign). There is in fact no bar in the hotel at all. You cannot get anything to drink except tea, coffee, fruit juice or water. There is no wine at dinner. Just water. The restaurant isnt up to much . The whole place is really past its sell by date. After all that the staff were very sweet and helpful and the bed was very comfortable. I wouldn't recommend for western travellers.

The gardens are immaculate, well done gardeners. The pool is fantastic, infinity edge views and heated perfectly. All the staff very friendly. Breakfast good choices. Room service meals high quality.
Cons: aircon didnt cool the room down enough and a few things could do with a touch eg paint on balcony rails. Still worth staying at and I would return.

The hotel has the ambiance of serenity..place away from city ..trees around has cooling effect, everyone I met has frienfly abd welcoming attitude..willing to help.
They still are improving a dated facility to meet current needs.

The room was just average. With old furnitures. The wall paper was peeling off at certain places. The bathroom tap was faulty, the shower at the bathtub was also faulty. The Spa and gym also cannot use. There was a sliding door between the bathtub and the room. The lock also was faulty. The room did not look like what was on the website.

It has a huge nice garden behind. Make sure you bring insect repellant during the evening. Breakfast is good.
The place is quite worn out. It would look very grand if well maintained. The location is quite remote and not convenient if you don't drive. The putrajaya seafood restaurant nearby serves decent meal. Room preparation could be better. We have stained towels, missing floor towel, and missing toiletries that we have to request although the service staff are generally very responsive.

Quiet, comfortable & relaxing.

My family had a relaxing stay even 'tho most of the facilities were not available (due to Covid 19) ~ gym, spa, etc. The quiet & peaceful atmosphere away from the daily bustle of life was what we wanted & the Hotel's location up on the hill was great. Our room was huge ~ we were upgraded to a Family Room ~ much thanks for that.

Breakfast choices can be improved ~ we had buffet on our last day only & it was limited. For our earlier days, the list given to us was not very attractive. Parking is nearby & the Hotel also provides buggy services to & from your car parking area (24 hours).

SOP observed hotel that’s safe to stay

Service is good but the hotel is a bit run down from my last stays during the former Shangri-la management time. Plenty of missing items in the room that need a call to reception for replacement, eg. tea cup, glass and etc. Room was not clean until a call is made to the reception. Empty water bottles are found at the balcony upon check in. SOP is observed rather well and felt safe to stay at the hotel. Restaurant and housekeeping services were rather pleasant.

A place for meetings/conferences. Not great for residence.

In attempting to be attentive, staff are actually a little intrusive - after room cleaning, there are also calls by staff later in the day e.g. offering towels or a snack, turning down the bed. Not sure why everything not done at one time.

Gym well equipped. Pool ok but not very clean. Food good but only from restaurants (no shop for snack options although there is a mini bar with some snacks). Shuttle bus to local shopping malls, but has to be pre-booked. Hotel a bit isolated.

Just confusions from hotel reception of my booking. I booked for 2 rooms ( family) ended up to wait for another 30 min due to another room wasn't ready ( they unable to see my room's booking as i booked). So; after clarification. Few min have to wait until settled. Overall. Staffs are very friendly. Limited hot drink during breakfast. Kids enjoyed.

Staffs were nice & service was prompt. Room is big, good size bed & bathroom. BUT room smells old and amenities (pool) is very disappointing.

Booked deluxe hill view room but OMG why would they label it as ‘view’ when there’s actually NO VIEW!!! It’s ONLY facing hill maybe, all I can see is the front side of the hotel very near entrance. So no point having that balcony because you won’t feel comfortable also in it. We never used at all!!! Again, very disappointing!!! Could have booked Pullman for same rate!!

The food at palmhill cafe is below expectations and over price. There is only one cafe is available in this hotel.
We only can manage to check in at 3.25 pm after waited from 1.00 pm.

Booked the candle light dinner honeymoon package and the outcome for the room is superb and dinner was amazing. The environment was secluded and is good for anyone that want to escape the urban areas but not so suburb. The room service is excellent and the menus is not all available. The spa price range is moderate.

This hotel's Soul WOWWWED me! I have never felt such a Welcome - from every member of the Team. I felt personally, lovingly cared for. When I was unwell, the Team - everyone - took care of me and I felt like I was surrounded by family. I would give this Hotel and its team of angels 7 stars if I could. AMAZING people! On my birthday, they treated me to the most beautiful cuisine feast and the whole Team came out to sing a birthday song! It truly touched my heart! This team takes 5* to a whole new level! Divan in the room move easily, should be fixed two legs and wheel on the other two legs (not all four legs wheels).

Infinity pool and area was lovely and relaxing. Friendliness of the staff from the very beginning and throughout our stay was exceptional and to us was the highlight . Lovely people.

We had to go to Putrajaya so the location was convenient. We really enjoyed our stay and this was largely due to the F&B manager and his very attentive staff. We ate in the restaurant in the evening and at the cafe for breakfast and both were really good. We used the swimming pool area which is spectacular in its settling but sadly it is not clean. The grout lines are all full of dark mold all over the pool so hopefully someone at the hotel will read this review and fix this very obvious negative aspect. Also one of the pool hand rails is missing and one of the decorative urns was smashed off and not replaced. If the pool was better maintained, this pool area is amazing and would be a highlight for the hotel.

I’d recommend this hotel

Excellent hotel great staff. Buffet breakfast is one of the best. Wi-Fi Internet wasn’t good but on hearing about it and without asking I was given a My-Fi which worked well. The young woman wearing the hijab that checked me in was always in the background taking care of any of my concerns. I had a late flight she extended my room for a very renasonabke fee.

Very old and not very welcoming. Only one towel is provided even though the room was booked for two. There were no hand towels, no tissue - i had to request for these all. Very far from the shopping malls, the availability of shuttle was not disclosed to me on arrival and I had to find out on my last day.

Quiet hotel surrounded by green

Hotel location is a bit secluded from any other shops/mall, which can be a good thing if you are looking for a quiet retreat surrounded by green and floras. The nearest mall however is not really far if you drive as it will take around 10 minutes drive to reach, plus the hotel has scheduled shuttle to the malls although i did not use it. The hotel staffs are kind enough to prepare a birthday cake, balloons for my birthday and a playpen for my baby. Breakfast spread and taste was good enough. Bed was comfortable and amenities were complete. The only complaints are that the bath tub's draining system is faulty and the hairdryer is not functioning. Otherwise this would have been a perfect stay for a weekend getaway!

We found issues with this hotel from checking in to leaving. As soon as we entered the roon there was a big ball of hair on the side in the bathroom. There was no bed for our daughter (even though we booked for a child). When we rang up to ask for another bed we were told we would be charged for another bed even though we had paid. For such a highly rated hotel we were left very disappointed.
