Convenient to Sunway mall and attractions

Big clean room but lobby area can be very noisy. Gym and pool access is not straightforward and requires a fairly long walk to Sunway Lagoon hotel. Gym is rather small. Hotel is great for access to the shopping mall and eateries. Not for a quiet stay.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Sunway, and here's my take on the experience:

The room was decent - clean, equipped with all the basic amenities, and comfortable enough for a good night's sleep. The location was a major highlight; the hotel is right next to Sunway Pyramid mall, making it incredibly convenient for shopping, dining, and entertainment. You could walk to the mall in minutes, which was a significant advantage if you're looking to explore without needing a car.

However, the customer service was a letdown. The staff seemed unfriendly and not particularly helpful, which was disappointing. A warm and friendly service can really enhance the stay experience, and this was lacking here.

Another downside was the parking fee. There's no complimentary parking; you have to pay for it, which can be quite inconvenient, especially if you're planning to stay for several days.

Overall, if you're looking for a place to stay primarily for its location and aren't too bothered by less than stellar customer service, this hotel could work for you. However, the unfriendly staff and the additional cost of parking might be considerations depending on your preferences.

We checked in a bit late and we did not get the twin bedroom that we wanted. We were given with twin beds eventually but the room has smoke smell. We requested to change room. Though we gotten another cleaner room but that is one king size bedroom. This is not what we wanted. I hope the hotel could offer more twins bedroom in future.

Very nice, clean and comfortable. Hotel was connected to the shopping mall and theme parks so it was extremely convenient. However, parking was chargeable at RM15 a day which I felt was ridiculous since the room rates are already rather pricy.

Everything about the check in and room stay experience was great and value for money. The room is family friendly. The convenience of being connected to the sunway pyramid mall and location was a bonus. Nearby shops, eateries and pharmacy just across.

Parking is abit disappointing to have to pay season parking 15rm per day though despite being guests. Should look into absorbing costs for those drive and check in for a more enjoyable experience.

Suggestion to improve:
1)lobby area fragrance smell too overwhelming. To look into it. May not appeal to mass public.
2) breakfast buffet is not at this hotel, have to walk over to hotel. But issue is price to purchase additional pax breakfast does not tally with 3rd party travel websites vs over counter prices. Do tidy up this info with your partners as its a big difference. Different travel apps showing different pricing. So guests wont have to make the long walk only to find the prices are more expensive than listed.
3) some crowd control at hotel breakfast entrance just outside the lift start to be bottleneck

The counter service was very slow, we waited for them to service and the counter never even asked are we together with the other was service at the counter. she thought we were all together. We did not stand together, instead we stood at the back.
Next, the room is too small for us, unable to lay our luggages on floor. The worst was the towels that we received was torn with threads coming off from all edges. It looked like a shoes rag. I could not believe my eyes with it.
The only comfort us was the handle luggages guys were very nice, and the hotel closes to the mall and make it very convenience. There is no special service as a gold member of hotels.com

Good for a short away from work. The malls are huge and you need at least 2 days to familiarise the amenities!

First time stay but love it

The room is very clean feel fresh when walk into the room. Bathroom was clean except for the water from the shower is not as strong. Shampoo from a big bottle very eco friendly no conditioner which would be convenient if it's provided.
The drinking water is in glass bottle I like that it's Eco friendly and the staff are efficient to deliver one or two bottles if we had not enough.
Checking in staff are friendly and professional.
Location attached to the mall love we can drop off the shopping to the room and go out continue walk around the mall. Will definitely stay in this hotel again.

The room conditions need an upgrade. Most of the fittings are quite run down. The bathroom towel rack is shaky, may fall off any moment. They only replenish 1 set of towel after cleaning the room. We called & waited for almost half hour before sending another set of towel over. Wouldn't stay here anymore.

We have no toilet paper, left only 2 tissue paper in the box which is left over by the previous customer when we checked into our rooms. The worst thing is that someone smoked in my room after cleaning it. This is a non smoking room right?
